Hotel Los Cactus: amazing resort

amazing all around resort...from people at guest services, to those providing services including grounds people and the rest of the staff. Clean rooms, grounds beautifully taken care of and friendly staff. Proximity to Varedero . will definitely be going back !

Grand Memories Varadero: Great vacation

Our stay at the grand memories was great. Good food, entertainment and people! The trip into veradero was great and would recommend an old classic car taxi to get there and back. Or the double decker bus for only five dollars all day. Would definitely come back at some point!

Hotel Los Cactus: Amazing!!

5th time here and can't wait to go back! Everything about this place is wonderful, especially all the friendly staff. I can't say enough good about this Resort. The beaches are out of this world and there is lots of great food and entertainment!

Resonance Blu Varadero: this resort was more of a 3 star than a 4 star

Our check in was fast and the staff very nice and friendly. With that being said there were a few problems. I was given a superior room with a few of one of the swimming pools. I had specifically said with 2 double beds and was given a king bed. This made me uncomfortable because I did not want to sleep with this friend of mine. I went to the front desk to find out why and they specifically said that all superior rooms only had kings. The toilet never stopped running. Had a problem with the [... read more] safe. on Sat the 14th. We were able to get into the safe that morning but when we returned we couldn't. It was fixed on the 17th. The room was very nice all in all. Cafeteria food was definitely substandard. For breakfast they had a good array of choices but when lunch came along it was the same sausage wieners and dried potatoes that was served for breakfast. The same green beans and sliced tomatoes also. The cold cuts were mainly sliced ham and chunky pieces. Dinner they had fish and pork chops as well as your pasta station. Fresh fruit was non existent. Water melon and guava. It was definitely better to eat at the outdoor restos. Lobby bathroom for women (no toilet seats) go figure. Lobby was nice and staff very nice. Pools I have been to Cuba 6 times and this was the first time that I refused to use them. I went into the pool on the 14th and the bottom of the pool was soooo slimy and I mean slimy enough that it was hard not to slip. During the seven days that I was there the POOLs were never chlorinated nor were the decks around washed down. There were drink spills you name it. they were FILTHY all of them.. I went to the ocean because it was clean. Garbage pick up on beach slack but cleaner than pool area. This resort should be cleaned up because it is a nice place to go to This review is an honest review from an honest person. I picked the Memories because of how beautiful and clean when I read about it,

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Unfortunate

This was our 10th visit to this hotel. We love the staff. They are always willing to do whatever it takes to make our experience enjoyable. Unfortunately this trip the hotel is between owners and more than half closed. The buffet was very scant and the only 2 times we ate at the resort that were even in our opinion any good at all were the 2 a la carte meals. On a good note the beach was as beautiful as ever and our room was comfortable and very clean. The maid made us the lovely towel creatures daily. There were only 100 people at a resort that can accommodate 1300. Pools were closed and many services unavailable. We wish we had been told by tripcentral before we went as we would have chosen a different resort. Hopefully the future will be brighter for this gorgeous property. Right now I am going to have to say I would not recommend but perhaps in the future.

Roc Arenas Doradas: Beautiful Resort

Our stay at ROC Arenas Dorodas was wonderful. The beach is beautiful, the staff very friendly and lots of variety for food. We did the Carillo and Mexican a la cartes, preferred the Mexican. We were expecting the resort to be small but it was a perfect size with a great layout. Food at the buffet varied a bit each night which was nice as you didn't always have to eat the same thing. Food at the beach barbecue was very good and the pool snack bar served great burgers and fries. We had an ev [... read more]ening flight so we requested a late check out, no issues with keeping the room. They do charge 10 pesos for each hour but it was worth it. Overall we had a very enjoyable vacation.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Amazing Staff

We love this resort, it is our second year at this resort. 3rd time to Cuba. The staff are wonderful and they really stepped up the entertainment, outdoor meals and the drinks. The iced coffee is super yummy.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Really Amazing Resort

Iberostar Tainos is a wonderful resort, small enough to get around without being lost right from the first day and big enough to have the best of entertainment, beach, food and STAFF which makes this Resort the popular it is. Evis and all entertainment and restaurant staff were professionals and sooo friendly. We will go back to this resort for sure. Just one thing we noticed, we were staying at the main building at first floor, above the lobby in room # 1125, the patio door does not open mo [... read more]re than two inches and you have to use your force to slide it back in. Those patio doors need to be changed or fixed.

Barcelo Solymar: beautiful resort

the beach was beautiful and clean, pools were nice, food was ok the tables were not always clean or sat up, nice 5 min walk to town, bedrooms were clean and always gave us fresh bottled water and beer and pop..

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nicely laid out

The grounds are well kept, beach is wide, hotel is close to water, staff is very friendly. Food was good, but could be more varied. The only negative is bed was not very comfortable... and pillows were terrible!

Resonance Blu Varadero: Memories varadero beach resport

This is the 7th time booking at this memories resort. There was 10 of us and a 2 year old. I have read a lot of reviews and I feel like some people shouldn't be travelling. We got great service when we arrived. Amauri got us organized and helped us to our rooms. He is very amazing and nice. Interacting with the guests. The foam party at the beach was amazing. Lots of fun. The shows were good and the band's at night at the square played great music. At the check out desk you can actually change your money no credit cards anf you dont need to bring your passport like the bank on site needs it. If you like strong drinks your good to go. If not .makensure you let them know to addi light alcohol. The beach was clean and some are our rooms. There were mosquitos at night but what place at night doesn't get them? The only thing I feel that needs to be worked on is the wifi. You can only get it in the theatre or the lobby. Not very strong though. You can purchase a wifi card for 1 peso and it's good for 1 hour of wifi. It doesn't have to be used all at the same time. You can use it here and there. Or you can also get a plan from home. If you go diamond club you have special section beside the buffet with air conditioning. You still share the buffet area. I hope if you book This resort you have the same experience we did. I am planning on returning next April again. The one thing I saw was people getting mad at the Cuban people cause they didn't have something or ordered 6 inlets at one time. Remember they are there working and doing their best to serve you. Think first how you want to be treated, so why test them any differently.??? 😊

Starfish Varadero: Needs a lot of work

The room is in needs of a lot of work and better maintenance! we had to clean the filters of are AC to make it work. The food was'nt good and i'm not a fossy person. The cooks are good but the buffet was not. Birds flying in the buffet did not like. The peoples very friendly

Club Kawama: Ok but wouldn't return

Garden property was nice and upkept. Buildings are ok but so old. Rooms were pretty bad. No bedding and not enough pillows and never was provided when asked multiple times. Tips were left with no result. Toilets leaking and ceiling flooded. Staff put bucket under leak :( Ended up leaving room. Staff was all super accomodating then. Rude coffee bar staff and lack of service permeates all service areas. One incredible buffet staff however!! Food so-so but not great. Definitely our whole group of 1 [... read more]0 no one would recommend returning. For same cost there are much better places. Beach is shining light of resort. Beautiful Cuban beach, clean with lots of seating and umbrellas. Lifeguards were careful with severe undertoe however and much appreciated for safety.

Club Kawama: Club Kawama

A beautiful place in Cuba to stay. Thier al carts could be better the Cuban one was the best international was out of everything and what we did get served tasted bad we walked out without eating more then a few bites and one of our group ended up sick the next day

Resonance Blu Varadero: Wonderful resort

Public areas are very safe, people working are very kind, foods are great, so much choices,pools are clean, beautiful beach, a lot of things which made our stay really a memories, I definitely come back on this beach resort with lots of friends with me,the best place to unwind and relax.

Playa Vista Azul: it was a great resort

the hotel was great the service was very good the food was soso but overall it was a very good resort and the beach was great the pool was good the rooms where clean but did not find there was enough entertainment going on and not to many restaurants ala cart to eat at overall it was a pretty good resort i would go back

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: 2nd time at El Patriarca

We went to El Patriarca in 2015 and returned in 2018... just came back yesterday and still a very nice resort... our maid Hamilia was superb and Johan at the beach a gem...food is very good and grounds are very well kept... a few things happened but not enough for us not to return there in a few years...I wish that Air Transat would offer 8 or 10 days like Sunwing and West Jet and better hours leaving from Moncton...but the resort is still the one for us in Varadero

My last trip to Cuba was my 80th time there but first time at this hotel and l have to say it was one of best hotels l have been to if not the best great staff the front desk was awesome helped us move rooms with no questions asked the bartenders were amazing especially Hansel at the main bar

Muthu Playa Varadero: Great resort.

Had an awesome, relaxing week. Clean rooms with no bugs in sight which is so important to me (no hot shower though). Beautiful beach. Excellent food. Staff: Some very nice and friendly, others not so much.
