Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Decent Place

This place had everything we needed for a nice fly and flop, the rooms where clean and pool was awesome all new chairs which where very nice, the resort overall was very well manintained, The only real problem was they have to try and keep the food a little warmer and food was only average, but you could always find something to eat for sure, The pool staff bar tenders are the best very nice and do a great job making you feel welcomed. Riu Republica: Awesome holiday location

This was a great experience! Our room overlooked the street and it was very quiet. Staff was very attentive and hard working. It is a large resort, but easy to get around. I loved all the restaurants because of the different themes. The 2 buffets offered so much variety as well. There were so many pools and bars, it was impressive. If you were hungry after the restaurants closed, there was food at the centrally located sportsbar. This was truly a vacation place where I let go of my stress. The b [... read more]each was beautiful just many vendors there. My friend and I went shopping due to the rain, but this mall was very different than a north American mall. Very high prices and very pushy vendors. I liked the shop on the resort because it had a variety of everything and nobody was pushy. There were many activities like bingo, dancing classes, foam party, water slides, beach party, and other fun things. The shows were impressive as well. The staff do a great job encouraging guests to have fun. I will be very happy to visit this resort again.

Riu Republica: RIU rocks!

RIU Republica was a great resort to go to. Great hotel, many places to hangout, eat and lounge at. The staff were excellent, attentive and treated us very well. Remembering us from the previous day. Always cheery and friendly. The resort itself is big, and has venues on each side of the resort, that was fun, entertaining and a good time. The jerk chicken on the beach was soooo good! Our room was great. Clean and comfy. I don't have any complaints. This is the 2nd RIU I have been to. RIU resorts are the best that I have been to for cleanliness, awesome staff, food, entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere. RIU Republica is an adult only resort, it was a nice new experience. It was awesome to go and play at the waterpark without having to butt in line in front of a bunch of kids..haha.. I was the kid! Definitely a good spot to vacation.

Paradisus Punta Cana: BEAUTIFUL RESORT!

My husband and I went for 1 week for our honeymoon. We would go back to this resort in a heartbeat! It was so beautiful, clean, well-maintained and tranquil. You can relax the whole time or party if you want to! There are lots of restaurants to choose from and the buffets had a nice variety of things to eat everyday. We especially liked the fact that you could order a whole pizza to your room via room service for no extra charge. The staff didn't come around until later in the day to clean rooms and we found this a little inconvenient. Especially when you have an early dinner reservation and you get a knock at the door after 5 pm asking if you want your room cleaned. However, that being said, all of the resort staff are quick to rectify any problems you may experience. My husband and I discovered that first hand.

Riu Republica: Amazing Resort

The resort was beautiful! The food was great and the service was superb. All the pools were clean and not too busy. Everything was close by. We went in Jan 2019. Defiantly recommend this resort. Lots of entertainment at night and in the day.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Beautiful....but

Resort is beautiful and nicely landscaped. Beds are hard & uncomfortable. Pools were closed every other day for cleaning due to accidents happening in the pool. Food was decent but very hard to book A la cartes unless it’s done immediately after arrival. Kids club was very boring and lacked any real entertainment/toys. Shows were obnoxiously loud, especially their 10pm Castle light show which sounded more like horror movie music than kid friendly music. Beach was impeccably clean and lots of  [... read more]chairs. Barcelo Bavaro Palace: trip was OK..but we won't go back

Our trip was Jan 10-17 2019. If you go to this resort read this carefully. IT IS NOT A 5 STAR, just because it has a golf course, swim up bar, houses over 2K people and has 7 a la carte restaurants if not a qualification for 5 stars. The service was just okay. 3/5 The rooms ( I upgraded PLUS had 2 family suites) were awful, truly awful! They all need a massive update! They are old and renovations are long over due 2/5 The food was pretty good 3.99/5 The grounds were lovely 4/5.... BUT [... read more] i'm not sleeping our there! The beach chairs were pathetic! they need to clean them replace them! 2/5 If you get this place on sale, go, but DO NOT PAY REGULAR PRICE!

Blau Natura Park Resort: Blau Natura Eco resort

The resort overall is very nice, lots of food options, staff are very nice and friendly. Lots of nature in the resort in terms of birds, peackocks, ducks, flamingos, etc. Lots of green trees, palms and bushes. Ocean was great, the beach however needs to be cleaned of the seaweeds more often. The hotel rooms need some upgrade. I've stayed in super savers rooms in other resorts and the rooms were very simple but at least the bedding would be colourful and the maid would always make either swan [... read more]s or hearts with the towels. It doesn't cost anything but coming back to the room from being outside all day makes the experience a lot nicer and happier. The rooms at Blau Natura eco didn't have that :-( Overall very happy with my stay but if those little things were added I'm sure it would have been nicer!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: So impressed.

Everything was absolutely perfect. From accommodation, to food to exceptional service. I can’t stress how amazing all staff were. Such lovely people. The beach (and non stop cocktails) were excellent. Would definitely stay at other Hotels in the chain.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Loved it more than the first time

We love this resort/franchise so much! We have stayed at the Punta Cana & Bavaro now and definetly will return to the Bavaro side because of the accommodations. Villas are so key for me because I’m very noise-sensitive and so echoing in hallways when in hotel style always keeps me awake and/or disturbs me. The villas at Bavaro are great. The washrooms could use some TLC & the TV was a little shotty, but who’s watching TV on vacation?! The rooms were great at both locations. We preferred the  [... read more]pool and food on the Punta Cana/Dominicana side of the resort, but you have use of the whole property, so no big deal! The ONLY complaint we have is that they seem to have changed the food from the last time we were there and there is way too much seafood! Like, way too much! Seemed like every night was sushi/fish night...the problem? My husband is highly allergic to all fish (shellfish, seafood)!!! He was relegated to eating pizza and bread because the cross-contamination with people using tongs from fish to touch other non-fish items and also dropping seafood into other dishes was rampant! There was no safe food for him to eat. When we went to the Punta Cana side 2 years ago, he did eat something that obviously fish had touched because he had a severe reaction and was throwing up trying to avoid a hospital visit. SO I do wish the menu wasn’t so fish-heavy, because in 2017 it wasn’t like that. We would go to each of the 3 Buffetts on this recent stay hoping for a different food theme, but fish was everywhere at all 3 buffets every night :( But anyway...the grounds are beautiful, the accommodations, the service, we just love DR and love this franchise. We will be back (hopefully the menu returns to 2017 and they find other foods to feature!)

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Fabulous 50th Birthday!

Once again thank you O’Neil Graham tripcentral for taking care of all our needs pryer to our departure by emailing the resort of my Birthday and a returning guest. The Magestic Mirage is an awesome resort, we expecially loved our suite with a swim up and jacuzzi!! Wow totally awesome!! The resorts food options was great the food was incredible! Staff at Magestic are very professional and always there when you need anything. Our butler Alexander was awesome!! We can’t wait to go back to the Magestic Mirage I would recommend this resort to couples and families.😎

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Very good

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Most disappointing and upsetting holiday,

Although the grounds and setting of the Bahia Principe Esmeralda is beautifully maintained , it is defiantly not a 5 Star Resort. Management has major attitude issues, shows no respect or consideration to their guests , they lie , ignore and are abusive . In all my many travels , I have never had such upsetting experiences as I had during my 10 day stay at this resort. Management and Guest Services are very much aware of what happened I would never recommend this resort . .

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Grand Memories is a beautiful amazing resort, beach and water park spectatular!!!.

I really enjoyed this resort, just returned from a week vacation and had been there in July 2018 also. The hotel had recently undergone some renovations and were done very well. Bathrooms and rooms updated, new glass balconies installed, all in all nicely done. The gal at check-in was amazing and friendly very efficient and had followed through on my request for a certain building that I had previously stayed in. The food was adequate for a buffet, nice selections however food mostly cold when  [... read more]in warming trays and long lines for certain stations. The wine selection included with the all inclusive was very generic and not appealing at all, did have a wine list that one could order off of but very pricey. The food, pools, BBQ, Martini Bar at the Royalton was superb, enjoyed the Grazzi buffet near the beach and the Hunter steak house. Very much liked the access to the Royalton hotel and its amenities with the tram that takes you from one hotel to the other. The grounds at Memories were very clean and always staff cleaning up. However on occasion had to ask for more towels, not enough shower gels/lotions and to have mini bar re-stocked. The on site Mexican and Italian restaurants were disappointing. Would highly recommend this resort, I found it very family friendly and accommodating to young and old.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Barcelo Bavaro Beach - Adults only

There is two part for this Hotel. The Barcelo Bavaro Beach the adult side and the Barceló Bavaro Palace the family side. After having spent 10 Days on the adult side only "The Bavaro Beach Side" I am convinced that the 5 stars rating is as a result of the family side. The most updated infrastructure and the most available amenities are on the family side. The Adults side infrastructure, accommodations and décor is dated. Reminded me of a Cuba resort. This should not be deemed a complimen [... read more]t. The cleaning staff do their best to maintain the area clean. The Casino, the bar lounges, cigar lounge the Disco and swim up bars, amenities of normally found on a Adults resort, were all located on the family side. 8 of the 11 Restaurants are on the family side and the majority and although a so called all-inclusive resort, most of them required additional cost. Either $15.00US per person or $30.00 US person. WIFI is not inclusive and cost $55.00 US per device for a 10 Day stay. In 2019, WIFI should be inclusive. So from my perspective, there are money grabs for the restaurants and WIFI. The grounds are very tidy, the pool to beach geography is great. The Beach is very clean. The pool bars and serving staff were very polite and courteous and would not shy on the preparation of drinks. Expect to be served in plastic cups. For us there were too many amenities and activities missing on the adult side that I would rate it a 3 Star vice a 5 star. last year we went to the Valentin Imperial in Mexico and we are realizing that we got spoiled and our expectations of 5 star resorts has increased exponentially. If I would go back, I would stay on the Family side and further explored/enjoyed the amenities it had to offer, that is, if you can deal with having lots of children around you and an over populated beach side.

Riu Republica: Good time at the Riu Republica

Amazing time there. You will find everything you need. Want to party? You can! Want to be quiet? You can! The animation is very good! The food is also good. It is very clean. We wNt to go back for sure!!!

Grand Bavaro Princess: A bit run down

We had to upgrade when we got there due to the rooms booked being about a 15/20 min walk to the beach(not ideal with a baby). They have a tram that will take you around the resort however does not come consistently. Also a negative it runs by all day and all night. The grounds were well kept the pools were both dirty and old. The food was good however dinners at restaurants started at 6 Buffett was at 6:30: found this to late with a young child to actually enjoy any dinner. Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: An excellent time

We went with a big group for a destination wedding and had an excellent time. The pools and beach were beautiful and the staff were incredible and friendly. The rooms left something to be desired, especially the bathrooms, but were OK. The restaurants were quite good as were the snacks, but the buffet was simply OK. My wife and I had a great time, even if those few things weren't up to snuff.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Not as great as advertised

I was under the impression that it was a 5 Star hotel, but I didn’t feel it was. Pros: 24 hour room service, grounds were beautifully manicured, bracelet key entry, aqua fitness classes were fun, Marisol and Yulia were amazing pool servers, Italian restaurant was really good, gift shop had almost anything you needed (even though it was pricey), lots of booze options, private cabanas were great and beach was beautiful. Cons: Male s [... read more]taff members were kind of sleazy and asked too much about my marital status when I wasn’t with my partner and tried to sell us on perks too much. The vendors were pushy and made it uncomfortable, central bar staff in lounge area were distracted and gave poor service, buffet and room service food wasn’t that good, not many fruit options, room smelled musty, rain shower barely worked, bed was hard and lumpy, room looked a little grimey and needing of repairs, pool area staff were relentless to recruit people to play games (even when you just wanted to relax). We tried to use the oxygen bar, but no one could work it, and said no to us after trying to find someone to work it. The lineups to get into the country and out were absolutely absurd and chaotic. Was almost impossible to get more money, and stores rarely had change for purchased items (bring LOTS of 1$ bills). There is no ginger ale. The trip was amazing and we had an absolute blast, but once was enough. I don’t feel the need to return.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Eat, drink and relax!!!

The hotel staff were thee best. So welcoming!! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!! The resort was immaculate. The drinks were always served with a smile. The weather couldn’t have been better.
