Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Awesome vacation

Our family (2 adults, 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son) stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo in early March 2026. We had an amazing time and loved the resort. Vibrant pool scene, kids loved the water slides and we spent hours in the lazy river. We also enjoyed just walking around the complex, there’s a lot to see. We are already planning our return!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Not Impressed

The hotel itself and area are quite beautiful. However, upon entering our room we were hit with a massive smell of mold and mildew. It was so strong and it was worse when the AC was on (which was always as it was 29 degrees outside) By day 2 We couldn't take the smell any longer as we were feeling sick. When we went to the lobby to ask for a new room we were told we had no choice but stay in that room for the night. You could very clearly smell the treatment plant at the back end of the resort. the next day when we were told our new room number, I was a bit upset that they were keeping us in the same building. They moved us from the ground floor (our room was at the front corner of the building) up to the 3rd floor and in the back corner (nearest possible room to the treatment plant) The room did not smell, however we could not spend time out on the balcony due to the smell from the plant, our room phone was not working and the fridge was so covered in ice that the bottom was full of water. Also there was no coffee for morning. When I asked for the phone and fridge to be fixed, and coffee to be brought to the room, it took 3 days!!!!!!!!! Each bar at the resort only staffed 1 bartender so you were always standing in line for at least 30-40 mins!!!!!!! And the concierge guys were relentless!!!! Every single time we entered the lobby they were on us to upgrade to cirlce one status. No matter how many times or even how polite we were, they NEVER listened. If someone says "No thank you, we are not interested" then leave them be!!!!!! Lastly, I'd like to say that the seating available at the beach and pools was atrocious!! If the resort holds 5000 people, there was only chairs/spots for aprox 1250 people. There were clearly signs posted saying that saving of chairs was not allowed, but almost everyone there was up between 5-6am just to put their towels on chairs to save them. We will never stay at a Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda Resort again!!!!!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Relax and enjoy food and beach and pool

Staff wonderful. Food plentiful and tasty - many plant based options which we enjoyed a lot. Beach was small with rocky access (bring water shoes) and snorkeling from the dock. Beach walk 1+km each way. Weather 30+C each day with some showers overnight. Rooms were clean, beds comfy and close to beach/pool and restaurants. No stairs. Have brand name liquor and dos equois beer. Small resort so quiet and relaxed for couples and families. Many activities if you want to on beach and in pool. Dive sh [... read more]op on premise with many boat loads of divers and snorkelers all day. Trips from resort by boat and 4x4 ranging from U$80-140 per day. Will go back.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great place

Rooms and grounds well maintained and beds were great along with such responsive friendly staff. Pools and beach area beautiful Restaurants and bars conveniently located with good friendly service Gorgeous location

Decameron Isla Coral: Pickleball crazy

Decameron isle coral one of 3 sister hotels in Guayabitos 2 hrs north of puerto Vallarta. Our original booking Feb 23 cancelled because of gun fight at ok coral rebooked feb24 via Calgary. Our hearts ? go out to the families who lost loved ones in this tragic drug battle. We played Pickleball 9 of 12 days We packed ourselves breakfast from the evening buffet. At 0500 I would set up , wake up the lobby coffee machine , run it through a disinfect cycle and make 4 cups of coffee. 25-30 minutes ev [... read more]ery morning 3 times having to find water bottle from a near bar in hotel. This is an expensive way to make coffee, very convenient for people waiting for rooms but costly for checked in guests, when kitchen staff could put coffee out like we had at Decameron cocos at 0500. 0600 off to courts 15 min walk down the street 45 min from Decameron cocos There was 50-75 players cycling through courts from 0630-1100 hrs. Google Guayabitos Pickleball club or check out pickle heads. com Very well run club with levels from beginner to 4.0 Learn to sign as there is a group of 10 playing. Back to hotel at noon, shower lunch Buffets were very good during the week, pork chops , chicken ,strip beef , two fish dishes and excellent fruit and vegetables, olives , soups , icecream , cheese. Beach is fantastic, beach volleyball, boogie boards and kayaking. Walked the beach end to end 4 km with beer stops at sister hotels on west end. There were commercial fishing boats out and for the next 3 days the beach was full of baby bitting jelly fish every 20 ft on the beach. Still many people in the ocean. On the weekends the place is crazy with nationals family vacationing. 16 buses parked by hotel area ,then Monday they all head home , it’s almost lonely. We got in to alacarts 3 times on the app and were pulled in 2 other times by staff. Minimal English spoken but tips and smiles are universal. They do want you to book in to buffets if you plan to go to sister hotels so they know the numbers. In bed by 2000 hrs. No evening noise. Entertainment at Decameron cocos Night club disco at Decameron marina Non potable water in hotel Bring coffee cup and sippy cup. We used 2 bottles of water in 13 days Refill our water thermos at bar or restaurant. We used 2 beach towels in 13 days to nap on or sit on. I know it’s a job for someone to wash towels and sweep the sand all day , an expense paid for by customers. SAVE ON WATER and get a water trough by beach steps , hotel management. Nexus transfers were great both ways. We were early getting picked up and had plenty of time to get to airport. Pack little Wababa ball from Sport check , kids love to see and play in pool skipping a ball on the water. Pack a little bouncie ball to play on beach. So much fun to play with kids and let their parents sit and relax on their vacation. Frisbee to play on beach Biked to La Penita to use bank machines and market on Thursday. Market i Guayabitos on Monday. Definitely head back next late February.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Great Resort

Rio Caribe was a very nice resort. The staff was extraordinary very helpful friendly and kind the restaurants and the buffet food was very tasty fulfilling and enjoyable. The cleaning staff did such a thorough and detailed cleaning job maintaining our rooms when we needed service at all times. I would definitely recommend this Resort to a friend. We had a great stay.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: money money money

Grounds were lovely and some amazing staff...tricked into and charged 230 USD for a 25 dollar bottle of wine which is insane for an all inclusive where we had access to top shelf liquor. Food was okay...TRS bbq was amazing

Grand Oasis Cancun: Gran Oasis Hotel

Well, in spite of the fact this hotel has very bad reviews, and we were afraid of them our experience was very positive. Of course, is not a new hotel, rooms look kind of old but they are very functional and also we weren't planning to be inside the room. Food was amazing. Shows and entertainment was super good. Only negative we went when US spring breakers were there and yep they were drunk, almost naked and very loud even at midnights. Beach is walking distance which is amazing they do not have to much shades and just a few sun seat so we used the big towels they provided to us. We were 13 ppl and all of us were asking why the hotel has had reviews? Should we go again? Absolutely !!!

Riu Dunamar: Riu Dunamar resorth

Everything was very nice we enjoined our self and I recommending to any body because it is a beautiful place and the service is good service and that that food was good to and the staff was very pleasant

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Heads-up

Our visit 2 years ago was great. However this year they had a college/university booking of several hundred late January. They were very loud with room parties to 2AM. Our last day, the quiet Colonial pool became a pool party with DJ that could be heard at the lobby end of resort. A facebook posting said they also had a "girls weekend" mid January with 1000's of guests. Big bookings now displace family vacations? Good bye Barcelo.

Villablanca Huatulco: Wonderful, as always!

We love everything about Villablanca! The staff, location, cleanliness & friendliness, never fail to be exceptional. Thank you to everyone who makes our vacation so relaxing & enjoyable. Grand Oasis Riviera: Resort needs more staff

Resort grounds are well kept. Lots of places to walk amongst the trees/greenery away from the beach. Resort seem to have way too many guest levels: blue wrist band, black wrist band and clear wrist band. As expected, the color of the band will determine what you have access to. Seems like blue band are the lowest. Plus areas exclusive for Sens, Sian Khan and other... There is no Bacardi rum of any color at any of the bars I visited. That should give you and indication of what to expect. If your [... read more] taste is preferential towards top shelf alcohol then explore other resorts within the same price range. Food is a hit and miss. Line-up is everywhere at opening hours for all the restaurants. Beach is very narrow and loaded with sea weeds. They are not removed. Water is o.k. Some rocks here and there. Snorkeling is great. If you are Canadian, a $91 US is payable for a 7 night stay. Watch out...you can only pay it in US dollars or Mexican pesos...What utter B.S. I will not go back.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Fabulous resort !

This resort is excellent- we have gone many times - with the 2 of us- and with groups of people. The service and staff are excellent ! The rooms are large- we had a fridge and a safe. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, the bathroom and shower are large. The food is good, with special mexican nights, seafood nights, Italian nights etc. They have 5 specialty restaurants, and the buffets are very good. The shows at night are good. The beach is amazing, and there are many pools in the reso [... read more]rt, including a quiet pool. The location for this resort is really good. It is an hour to Puerto Vallarta so it is very easy to go there. We travelled with Air transat and they had a representative at the resort every morning if we had questions or wanted to book tours. The resort is in the town of Bucerias and a short walk to the shops on the street and the local market. There are many really good restaurants and bars right on the beach in the centre of town. If you like to bike, check out Bici Bucerias- we rented bikes there and they are excellent- they are a 3 minute walk from Decameron. I would highly recommend this resort.

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Very nice and friendly

Great resort.Nice location.i enjoyed our stay food was very good. You can do lots of walking. Walking to the store. Saw dolphins swimming and playing with the ball. Very secure place.High quality public transportation comfortable and safe.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Pleasantly surprised!

The resort grounds were very very clean and there were always workers cleaning and picking things up. The biggest plus of this resort is the staff! The friendliest and helpful workers overall of any all inclusive we’ve been to. The drinks were great with lots of choices. À la Carte restaurants Ma Maison and Rio were very comparable to decent Canadian cuisine. The gelato bar and cafe are delicious. The pools are busy. And the chair game is real! It is a family resort and we have kids but we were not ready for the amount of toddlers and babies. It’s probably had the most amount of children running wild. The lazy river is amazing and we spent so much time in it! Rooms are fairly comfortable & cleaned well. We had a private cabana with pool one day and it was well worth the price and our best day at the resort. Overall it’s a nice resort for a decent price. We were almost scared out of coming to this resort because of complaints of sickness and food, but, no one in our group was ill. We couldnt use the beach because the sargassum was so bad the week we were there. The only complaint would be a little updating the waterpark slides and updating the beds and pillows (the beds/pillows and bedding were quite hard and not comfortable). And even though it’s a family resort we were a bit annoyed by the sheer volume of whining kids. We would return to this resort for sure but as Diamond Club to get a break from the busy family side.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Disappointed anniversary

We have been to this hotel about four times over the last years and we were very disappointed from the day we arrived. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and wanted to go to a nice hotel. We paid for an ocean view all inclusive and requested king bed with higher floor. We looked at two rooms that were facing the restaurant roof. We did not want to be facing on top of a roof and was given a third room to view which was in the 5th floor only. The day manager said either we take the room or w [... read more]e take a double bed room which we did not want. So we accepted the room. The bathroom had black mold but they said they could clean it. They tried but the mold was still there. The beige couch in the room was brown with dirt you could not sit on it without a towel and the painting in the room was also covered with dark brown dirt spray. The pool had black dirt outlining the blue tiles- disgusting. You didn’t want to lean in the pool walls. We wanted to go to the Mexican restaurant one night as there was not many people in hotel and so we asked if they had space for us. One hostess said sure - then someone came and said my husband who was wearing dress shirt and linen dress pants with leather sandals could not come in as he needed to wear dress shoes or runners. They said my leather sandals were fine. We were not permitted to enter and dine! It felt that the hotel and service had really declined from other years.

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Wow, this was really good.

This place was amazing. The rooms were nice and clean. Only thing that was kind of disappointing was not all rooms have a balcony or terrace. Although it turned out to not be a big issue. Pools and bars were really good. The beach was great to walk every day, with clean white sand that goes on for miles. The staff was wonderful, always smiling and very friendly. The buffet and alacarts were very good with lots of different foods to choose from. There was multiple dishes to choose from on the ala [... read more]carts menu's. We enjoyed our stay and we will go back again.

Bahia Principe Escape Tequila: Perfect resort for a restful vacation.

The Grand Tequila is located in the perfect spot with easy access to the other hotels in this area. The rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The only suggestion I have is that there could be a waiter from the bar coming around in the quiet pool offering cocktails.

Riu Emerald Bay: I could recommend and could be back

Riu Emerald Bay was honestly beautiful, The food was awesome, The staff was was incredible, The rooms and view spectacular. However some improvements would be welcome; * The pools were often dirty and full of bugs due to low water levels the pool skimmers weren't being reached. * The beaches were beautiful and clean however from 2:30pm-6pm it was impossible to be on the beach due to loud mariachi bands playing over each other much too close to the chairs this was a common complaint tha [... read more]t anyone i met had. Over all me and my partner really enjoyed our stay for our week stay.
