Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Pretty Bad

Grounds, nicely kept. Restaurants, fair, not enough wait staff/ bus persons to keep up with the not full restaurant. An untrained waiter started well but could not keep up with the four tables he had. Chef came out to help ensure guests were placated and tried to convince us to return. Pools : kept clean with a portable filter system that was hooked up every morning for about 20 min or so to each of the three pools. Building maintenance, this hotel was showing it's age and was not kept up where low traffic was likely such as in the stair wells at the end of the hallways. rusty railings etc. Facility Care: When we first checked in the room did not have anything in the mini bar at all. There was some construction going on, on the first floor directly below our room, so we had to request to be moved to the other side of the hotel. Rooms were cleaned later in the day compared to other hotels in the Caribbean that I've stayed in. The mini bar fridge only ever received one bag of Chips for Three people. Hotel Staff: Very polite. Front desk staff other staff were all polite and were accommodating when asked for any service. Restaurant Staff: In the buffet, a fairly small selection that barely varied from day to day. Beach: nice beach with adequate seating and raked white sand every morning. beutiful turquoise waters . A little on the cool side but not unusual for this area.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Not good !

What a waste of time and money. We go south at least twice a year and can compare to other resorts. Hotel: old, empty, with construction going all day long. Never had such small soap bars in my life, plus they left only three of those and never added more. I do not use liquid soaps so I had a problem. They are so so cheap with replenishing the bar fridge in the room. For us three they left 2 packages of chips and not every day! Once my husband mentioned to the workers that they left only o [... read more]ne package of chips, they brought chips, but only one package! lol We don't eat chips normally, but on that resort I allowed my son to eat it. Restaurants: only one buffet with almost the same food every day. Three other restaurants require reservations, and also have a very limited menu. Asian restaurant was 'eh'. Mexican, oh Mexican... they had only one waiter on our side of the restaurant and he was so busy, so much in hurry, forgetting everything, dropping glasses, etc. Poor waiter. Pools. They are not heated. Only one hot tub and - o boy, they don't change often enough water and water is like 'pea soup' (my husband said). Entertainment. Almost no entertainment. 30 min here and there. No entertainment in pools. I saw once aerobics, but that was it. No cheerful music at the pools, engaging events, etc. Beach. Beach is ok. Probably the best piece of that resort. What a shame that they could't represent the beauty of the Bahamas in a better way. I will make sure that my friends will not go there. Would give 3 stretched stars to the resort, but remembering how much we paid ( ~$1700 per person), will give 2 stars.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: 3 star at best

Overall we were disappointed in our experience at the Melia. Our room looked nice, but all of the metal elements were rusted. The tub wouldn’t drain (nor could we plug it to give our daughter a bath) and our hot water didn’t work the first day. Our AC unit was broken and blew cold air non-stop. We were frozen. The heaters on the hot tubs and pools weren’t working properly. The concrete around the resort was broken and our daughter tripped over some loose pieces and hurt herself. Riu Palace Paradise Island: Rieu Palace Paradise Island was amezing

we love everything about the place, staff where great, food excellent, grounds perfect very clean. I would fully recommend everyone to go. There was a lot stuff for you to keep busy or not your choice.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: nice short trip vacation location

We stayed at the Hotel Riu on Paradise island,Bahamas Dec 31-Jan 4. 3 hour flight time, weather was great. Hotel itself was okay, food was good, the buffet was excellent. For dinner no limit on the a la carte restaurants, but would prefer the reservation process rather than the walk up and wait process. Service was excellent to just okay. Balcony was a bit small, room was clean comfortable and bright, could have had better chairs, in the room. Great wi-fi, good TV and channel selections. Bathroom was clean, lots of hot water, nice shower with rain head. Bar was noisy, not cozy, personal preference for us is a piano bar. Evening entertainment was good. Hotel itself was small. Adults only no children. Hotel Atlantis complex is next door, for casino action. Beach walking was excellent, 30 minutes east to the golf course, 15 minutes west to the lagoon river for the Atlantis. Blue warm water, nice sands, not much to see for snorkeling from the beach area. Big pool was heated, good clean. Lots of available chairs around the pool and the beach did not have any issues finding a place to sit. Small pool to swim up bar, separate pool area ( good idea). But water was cold. Outside food, Jerk Chicken bbq and nice pool bar. Overall good for a quick trip south.

Breezes Bahamas: Beautiful, clean resort

Everything was great except the pool was cold and the swim up bar was closed. Staff were very nice, but not as enthusiastic as other resorts. We went here as a honeymoon and informed the resort several months before that we just wanted the free honeymoon package which included t-shirts and champagne. Upon arrival, there was nothing in our room. We asked the staff everyday for 4 days before we finally got our honeymoon package. The t-shirts were both XXXL. My wife is a S or XS and I am a  [... read more]XL. We inquired about this but they said they had no other sizes. It's a shame they didnt have this more organized.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Gorgeous Renovated Resort

Spent 3 nights at this amazing place. Loved every second. One thing need to be changed. Riu needs an app to book dinner reservations ahead instead of lining up for ala cart restaurants. Otherwise a great resort. This is my second time to Riu Paradise Island and won't be my last.

Warwick Paradise Island: Nice solo trip getaway from the winter

i was a solo traveller for 5 days and loved this place...super quiet and relaxing. not a lot of parties and nightlife which was good. loved the food and the location. always able to get a seat at pool

Absolutely stunning resort! Everything you would want or need on a vacation was within reach or walking distance! Food was fabulous and the staff in every position was so kind and really cared that you enjoyed your stay!

Amazing, accomadating atmosphere. Spotless hotel. Every amenity needed. Beautiful view from room, pool, lounge, and resturaunts. Peaceful environment and enjoyable bars. Close to Atlantis, downtown paradise island, airport, ect.

Absolutely amazing place !!! Will definitely go back. Clean,tidy. Good and drinks selection was great. Right on the beach - great location. Nassau is a quick ferry ride. People are really friendly.

Great staff/service; food; ambience..and beautiful renovation. Really loved my room (and especially the double-sinked bathroom) Will definitely go back! (and I paid a singles supplement!!!) Recommend highly for anyone 30+...single/couple/with a friend

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Nice Christmas Getaway

Just back from week's stay - Dec. 21 - 28. Overall a good all inclusive vacation. The staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. They went out their way to create some Christmas spirit with decorations and a special show on Christmas day. What's good: the beach is beautiful, the buffet selection and quality is good,the hotel decor is new and modern, Atlantis is right next door if you need a change of scenery or like the casino, cappuccino bar, the main pool is like a warm bath What's [... read more] not great: the endless jet-ski vendors yelling on the beach, having to line up for the theme restaurants (they don't take reservations - you can wait for 45 minutes before they open only to find out you can not get in), the entertainment, lack of an evening outdoor bar.(closes at 6pm), the swim up infinity pool is freezing. A good place to go if you want to just eat, drink and soak up some sun on the beach or pool. Not good if you are looking for a party atmosphere or adventures.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Worth the money

Excellent place, staff, food and overall cleanliness. The staff were very helpful you can ask them for anything and they a happy to help you. The buffet had lots of selection. Best to go to the buffet then the restaurant, no lineup. The pool, spa and beach all excellent. Get to the beach early and grab a chair for the day. Bring some crackers or bread and feed the fishes right there on the shore. Excellent picture opportunity when feeding the fish. There lots of vendors on the beach. Take a je [... read more]t ski out to see the scenery around the hotel. Look for a guy name CHARLIE, he will give you the best price! Overall experience 10 stars. Bonus it's an all adult only resort.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Riu Palace Paradise Island

This is a nice hotel. I would not give it a 5 Star rating though. We stayed there from December 10 - 21, 2017. The hotel was not at full capacity so they used that as an excuse to keep the various restaurants closed for most of our stay. There was a line up each night for the specialty restaurants that were open and only half the tables were used. Most people were turned away and had to go eat in the regular buffet. The pool area was very clean as well but the noise from the streets and the Atlantis resort next door was very annoying. All staff members were extremely nice and everyone made you feel very welcome. I will not be returning to this resort or this island simply because the price is outrageous for what you get. I feel I would have been able to have 2 vacations for what I paid for 1. There simply was not enough bang for your buck at this resort.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Great resort!

The hotel is clean, beds confortable, amazing room on the beach. Small and intimate resort. They have an amazing animation team and we were impressed by the quality of the shows at night. The costumes and chorégraphies are great. We just loved our week and would go back. The water of the pool was very cold... the only négative thing!

Breezes Bahamas: Breath taking views

Got my phone stolen right upon arriving to my hotel. I was very upset and the hotel staff were helpful. The service is 4star the rooms are 3star. The food was 3.5star. And the people were just amazing.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Highly recommended

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation at Sandals Royal Bahamian. The hotel features English Colonial style, the grounds are immaculate, the beach small but clean with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. An outstanding feature is the Sandals off-shore island which you can get to by free shuttle boat from the dock in less than 10 minutes. The Island is quiet and peaceful and has its own spa, restaurant, and lovely treed walking paths complete with zen gardens. Snorkelling is great there are there a [... read more]re loads of fish and turtles to see. Sandals staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to provide you with what you need. Shout out to Ashanti and Tracy who were awesome. Our room was beautiful, clean and had a view of the ocean. If you use the spa, be aware they add 12.5% tip to the bill automatically which is not disclosed up front. All in all, we cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful resort and will definitely be going back !

The hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Recently renovated and the new look is quite refreshing. The food is very good and staff will go over and above to get whatever you wish.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great value

I really enjoyed my vacation. I had an ocean view room on the first floor with a patio that takes you steps to the beach. The hotel has had some recent renovations which made it look really modern. Loved my room! Only complaint was that some of the staff seemed lazy and I had some stains on sheets and towels.
