Brisas Del Caribe: We will be back a third time!

After getting married at this resort in 2008, we decided to come back in March of 2014. We were not disappointed. The staff are so nice and helpfull, the gardens are beautiful and the beach is breathtaking. We enjoyed fresh bread, seafood and veggies at the buffet and resturants. Our room was old but kept clean and in good working order. The only thing I would change? Some of the guests! Loud, unruly and some seem to not know the concept of flushing a toilet. We will be back next year for sure!

Oasis Tulum: Beautiful Resort right on the ocean

The main part of the resort was very nice, it was located right on the beach. The area we stayed in was located a ten minute walk from the main resort. This was not indicated to us at any time when we were making our travel arrangements. This started our vacation off on a negative note. My husband and I would go back if we could stay on the main part of the resort but the teenage children found it lacked things for them to do.

Brisas Del Caribe: A real taste of Cuba!!!

Brisas Del Caribe was a postcard of Cuban hospitality!!!.The resort was open and inviting. Staff were friendly and always smiling!!! Our family (incl kids 2,7,11) had an amazing time. The beach was like a picture..beautiful blue waters and sand full of seashells. Definitely a FAMILY FRIENDLY place!!! The food was acceptable as long as you had an open mind. This resort is low key and appealed to us as a family looking for a place to relax. We didn't think twice about walking barefoot in the lobby or my 2 yr old playing with his Thomas trains by the coffee bars. We were in vacation mode and the Brisas Del Caribe gave us the best place to enjoy it. We will definitely go back!!! It is the only resort for us!!!

Brisas Del Caribe: Average

The hotel itself was very old and definitely hasn't been upkept in a while. They had overbooked at the time that we had booked. Our room had a strange smell and the air conditioner constantly made a very loud noise which made it hard to fall asleep. The buffet was not big enough to accommodate all the people that they had booked. We ended up having to wait in a long lineup just to get into the buffet some nights. One major thing that was a nuisance about the beach was that they didn't have a bar. You had to walk back to the pool area or beach grill. I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.

Be Live Experience Hamaca Suites: just ok I guess

We were put in a one star room to start at 11:30 at night After complaint at front desk and being told numerous times I got what I paid for , they switched us to a decent room. Next morning went and talked to management and was upgraded to a suit!the wait staff and entertainment people were amazing and had a wonderful rest of the trip. I recommend trying the hornet restaurant it had the best steak I have ever had! Ladies beware of shady security guards!

The hotel room that we stayed in was in a section that was a little outdated but other than that the food was great, the beaches were beautiful and the staff was very gracious, especially our swim up bartender Elvis. He was absolutely amazing.

Grand Oasis Palm: Good for family with kids

Nice and clean resort located in the hotel zone, convenient to family with small kids, there is kids club available and fully supervised. The beach is nice and water is calm, good for little kids to play in.

Brisas Del Caribe: great resort for your money

Brisas Del Caribe: In need of major renovations

Well, we knew it was not a 5 stars resort, but giviing it a 2 stars would have been generous. The rooms are run-down. We had to change rooms due to the condition of our first room. I guess they put everyone in the worse rooms they have on the first day, agree to change you the next day making that second room look good. But it really is not a good room, just better then the first one. It seems to be the norm. They overbook and everyone plays the musical room game. We are very tidy people, made our own bed in the morning and only requested towels every second day. The only day that we asked to have our sheets changed. She gave us twin bed sheets that she put sideways on a king size bed. The food was bad. We didn't care about the selection, it was the quality of it was far from good. It's time for Cuba to spend some of tourist cuban pesos on culinary school for their chefs. If you are going to tip or give some gifts to the resort staff. Give it to the ground keepers, the activity staff or the secuity guy as you enter the beech. They do not benefit from all the tiping or gifts that the other resort staff get. That's exactly what we did and we stopped gifting our moody maid. I even found out that the gift you leave them, such toiletory or clothing. They turn around and sell it to the the staff you should be tipping. Don't drink the water from the large Getorade plastic containers by the outdoor bars. My wife did that and guess what, she didn't have the best of nights. Cuban people are great, friendly and no matter where you go or what time it is. You will always be safe. The beech was great. Are they the best in the Carabeen's, well I think that depends who you speek too. I have have been to Europe, to the Dominicain Republic, Mexico and Florida. It's all a matter of taste. The Lifeguards at this resort are totally usaless. Their only concirn are that you don,t go over the allocated time for the free water sports rentals. But besides thaht you will find them picking up all the single girls onthe beech or trying to sell you some cuban cigars or one of their friend tour package. Don't run into trouble in the water, cause they will be no where to be found, usless you happen to be the nice looking girl on ther beech. I'm spanish and had no problem with the language. It was my first time in Cuba and my last. It's not worth the savings.

Brisas Del Caribe: Decent resort. Good for Familes.

Older areas need some repair work. Some leaking roofs in the corridors. Friendly staff. Bicycles need fixing. Like most Cuban resorts, there needs to be no smoking. I'd like to see more varied entertainment in the evenings.

Grand Oasis Riviera: AWESOME RESORT!!!!!!

This was our second time at this resort.The grounds were beautifully maintained, the staff was exceptional- especially Emmanuel at the snack bar Arreciffis. The beach is very clean and the water crystal blue. The pools were well maintained and very clean. The spa facilities were very nice as well. The food is very good-better than some of the resorts we have visited in the past.

Oasis Tulum: Don't do it.

Excited for a small charming resort, no such luck. No beach chairs (people actually chained them up at night), inconvenient washroom locations. Bad service, no bottled water, no towels, room fridge never stocked. Supposed to have the honeymoon package, but declined on arrival. Entertainment staff was probably our favourite thing about this place (Benzi!). Brisas Del Caribe: ok if you just need a inexpensive trip

A little run down. Needs repair a bit dirty. Good staff. close to town. Boring food. Great coffee bar. Nice beach. not the greatest entertainment. room was ok just a bit of musty smell, great maid. freindly guests, vast varitey of ages. alacarte s were ok. It was hard to exchange money at the hotel best to get it at the airport. Excellent lobster dinner .

Grand Oasis Sens: not as good as I expected

food was fair.night entertainment very poor.rooms fair.swimming pools good.poor service in resturants.IIt was rated 4 star ..sorry I dont think so...may be 2 1/2 star....not even 3.I will never stay here again.

Grand Oasis Cancun: great time

Me my husband and our 10 year old boy went May 5-11 we had a great time only downfall we had to change rooms(we were on the party floor..too loud) The hotel was very nice about it .They rated it as a 5 star I would say a 4 it is getting old and the rooms need some attention paint and spackle everything was clean can not complain at all about that. When we first got there I thought oh this place is too big a lot of walking to get where you are going but by the 3rd day it was nice to have to walk. [... read more]Sometimes had a hard time to get hot water for my tea, and because of the hours of the pool restaurants we were in between times to eat. I think they should have more food stations at the pool area. Overall great place.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Party resort

This hotel is definitely five stars in the party category. If you don't mind below to mid average rooms then this is the place for you. This is our second time back to this resort because we had a blast partying last time. This time the experience with the resort wasn't as pleasant. Our room air conditioner & tv had issues. Our bedding smelt really bad. We didn't receive water everyday in room from hotel. On our last day the power was out in the hotel and we had to lug our 50 lbs suitcases down  [... read more]six flights of stairs. (No one from the resort offered to help) We knew what we were expecting in terms of loudness and partying but our experience with the resort was defiently below average this round. The resort food is average. Many times there was nothing left. We will defiently not be going back to Oasis Cancun. If your just looking for a good time and accommodation is not to big a factor for you then this is the place for you.

Brisas Del Caribe: A bit dissappointing.

The Hotel (Brisas Del Caribe, Santiago De Cuba) seems to be on its' last legs. Only half the resort was operative. Rooms were above standard for a Cuban three star hotel. Staff were wonderful. Beach was much less groomed or groomable compared to Varadero. However, we enjoyed the climate far more than Varadero. Pool was closed for two days due to an algae bloom which could have been avoided with proper maintenance and elimination of the swim up bar. Brisas Del Caribe: OK with a great beach

First of all, I have to say that expectations of a 3+ star hotel in Canada is slightly "different" than in Cuba. The hotel itself is dated and needs an update. One of the rooms we had was very musty. However the cleaning and maintenance staff do the best with they have. The grounds are maintained quite well. Once you realize it is what it is, you can sit down and enjoy yourself. The beach is great and is the best feature of the Brisas Del Caribe. Nice white sand, very little rocks and clear blue [... read more] water. In fact I thought it was the best beach of that strip. After a storm they had cleared the beached of any sea weed that rolled into shore. Because we enjoyed the beach so much, we spent very little time at the pool. The food is OK but you may have to spend time in line in the omelet and pasta station. We ate a few times in Varadero (go see Don Alex restaurant!) so we did not get tired of the same food all of the time. Drinks were OK and plentiful. Service is very good especially when you get to know a few of the staff. They can make the stay a lot of fun. We were with a wedding party and there were a few issues with room locations for everyone (we moved once) and some organization. Overall they made things work out. No internet at the hotel (even if you could purchase it) but that is fairly common in Cuba. Overall the stay was OK. If it weren't for the beach & staff however, I would be hard pressed to stay there again.

Brisas Del Caribe: So..so resort

Staff are GREAT ....food not much choice. Run down surroundings, no light at night , hallways too dark and rooms. Swimming pool dirty , security is great, cleaning ladies are very helpful . Snack bar staff are awesome .

I have never Been to Cuba before and I chose a 4 star because I didn't want a substandard place to stay. That idea went out the window when I got to the room. Shower hardly worked, room looked like it needed cosmetic work. I'm not going back to that hotel ever.
