Awesome

just got back from 10 day trip. five days at reg. resort then 5 days upgrade to royal section. staff at both were great.food good all locations.this was our third time here and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Not bad for value

Best features: beach, access to beach chairs, entertainment, entertainment at restaurants Worst features: weather, rooms were very tired (musty smell in room), pool area small, Restaurants were okay. Great ice cream, cheese and fish.

Awesome Resort!!

We had a awesome time at this resort. The service at the front desk that we received was friendly, courteous and fast. We ended up having to change our room for the bar fridge sounded like a freight train running through it, with a constantly blinked light and a strange order. The front desk was very apologetic and gave us a new room that we were very satisfied and happy. Zule our room maid was always happy to greet you with a smile and willing to serve you with an extra towel if needed. Indira who was our towel girl, what can you say when you meet someone who is lively as her. Enough about the staff and let me move to the resort itself. The resort was immaculate, well spaced out, with lots of room to walk around and easy access to the beach. There was NO need to bring sauces to spice up your food for the food itself was great no matter where we went on the resort, at the buffet or at the five restaurants that we made reservations at. This comes from people who have visited Cuba and complained that the food was very blah, not at this resort. The day at the beach was lovely, white sand, blue\turquoises water and to finish it off a drink or two, couldn't get better than that. At the end of our week we were very sad to leave, if we could we would have stayed another week. I would most definitely recommend this resort to anyone who wishes to visit Cuba.

Good friendly resort

the grounds were beautiful and well kept the buildings were showing need for minor maintenance ( paint repair etc) observed it being done just slow process) food was top notch drinks were perfect except -pina coladas Staff were friendly beach was beautiful piano bar and the cigar lounge, lobby bar were great , night club was closed for reno booking el la cartes restaurant was always a long wait and availability issues pool swim up bar could use some attention  [... read more] , slow process to serve down below as alcohol was position up top it was a bad set up , also i believe the bar tenders could be more alive games shots energetic etc the complimentary scuba diving was good over all a 3.8- 4.0 out of 5 star

Terrible Resort

This is the second time I have gone to this resort and what a difference 1 1/2 makes. The food was still good in most of the a la carte restaurants except for the Cuban Restaurant. Terrible food there. The service was down right terrible. We paid to be in the Royal Service area with a Swim up room and it was not worth the extra money at all. The butler was supposed to make all our reservations and on 2 occasions we showed up and they said there were none made for us and we couldn't go in.  [... read more]We called for a golf cart to pick us up to take us to Hilltop Restaurant and we waited an hour and then went elsewhere to eat. We went to Miramar and we were practically ignored the whole time and took an hour to get any food The night before we were to leave we ordered room service for dinner and didn't get the food for 3 hours because of some "problem" in the kitchen. This is unacceptable for the price we paid for this vacation. Very disappointed.

Disappointing=Paradisus Princesa Del Mar

Disappointing all around. Area outside of the Royal Suites area is a 3 star at best not a 5 star! Sand fleas on the beach are terrible making it unenjoyable and unuseable! No activities throughout the day around the pool, ran out of a lot of food and drinks on the third day of our arrival. A la carte restaurants were great! Rooms are outdated and smell, air conditioning doesn't work well, Housekeeping was poorly maintained, our room went a couple of days without service. Patio door lock [... read more] was broken and they tried to fix it with a chain lock! Areas of the resort need repairs. Pleasant and friendly service depended on you tipping.

Terrible nightmare!

Princesa Del Mar Just back from Varadero and I have to say we did not have a very good experience to say the least..... There were a number of issues and we made Judith the Air Transat representative know about as well as the Hotel and Dining staff. The worst incident was when I fell on water that was on the floor in the buffet lounge and narrowly missed a broken glass that the staff obviously didn't bother to clean up as I seen staff see me fall close to it. The food was absolutely terrible and our room had many issues and when we asked them to fix these problems they either didn't show up or would show up and not properly alleviate the issue. We paid a lot of money for this trip and by 3 days in we wanted to go home. I would like to know what you can do to make this right as we are very frustrated and talked to numerous others that experienced the same. Thanks for you efforts in advance but I hope you are able to do the right thing and make this wrong a right. Thanks

Paradise

This hotel was amazing! The staff were very friendly and always smiling. There was always someone ready to help or answer questions. The grounds were immaculate. Couldn't ask for any better. Entertainment every day and night. The beach was stunning with crystal blue water and very warm.

Typical attentive, warm and friendly Cuban hospitality

The Paradisus Princesa Del Mar is a typical resort similar to other five stars in the area. The beach is spectacular, service is attentive and the grounds and rooms are immaculate. Cuban hospitality at its best ...

Amazing resort

This resort definitely exceeded my expectations...it was beautiful, clean, staff was nice, fun and accommodating.The beach was gorgeous with many shelters for shade. I have already recommended this resort to friends.

Resort Paradisus

This hotel has a star rating that is higher then it should be. Grounds are nice, but service is only good when you first arrive. After that, it is on a steady decline. The last day room maintenance was only making beds up and provide some clean towels.

Amazing beaches and weather

Booking with tripcentral.ca was flawless and easy. Communication with Cassandra was superb and she was so helpful. Resort was clean and well maintained. Beach was gorgeous and so easy to travel from Ottawa to Cuba and return. Bonus of tripcentral gift card got us park and fly for free....thanks so much for that. Food and service was sub par. Some pushy staff seeking out tips which was off putting. As I said the resort itself was clean and well maintained. Beautiful resort

Large resort and grounds were incrediblie spotless, but watch out for those sand flea, and mosquitoes. Even with bug spray we were chewed alive. Maid service could have been better, hospitality could have been better, but food was good for being Cuba..all in all was worth the price.

Heaven

The beach is the biggest and best in Cuba, The Resort itself is very well laid out and the food is beyond great and very well laid out, It was nice that this Hotel also has a real Royal service separated from the main resort not just a different rest band like the others. The staff is amazing and not a single hand out expecting a tip very nice...We are going back.

Third time to this resort!

We love this beautiful resort and will go back a 4th time! The food choices are excellent! The staff is always great! The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The grounds are always clean, well groomed and well lit! Entertainment is excellent and varied so there is always something going on to watch, with dancing if you choose. The drinks are good (we drink mostly wine, champagne, beer, and 12 year old scotch and rum). There is not anything I could say negative about this resort as you can tell that management works very hard on keeping this a 5 star resort with great customer service.

Awesome adults only resort

Beautiful resort, second time staying at this resort and we loved it again. Mattress is very hard but its to be expected. Other than that no complaints! Recommend to anyone :) people here are so friendly. Lots of evening entertainment and great swim up pool bar

Good Resort

The Good: Beautiful place, very clear,lush,gardens,trees,nice rooms, pool clean,beautiful beach excellent service at the pool bar, Good food and service at the French,Japanese,Bamboo a la cart. Great entertainment. The Bad: Reception is way to slow not enough staff, there is only one buffet for the resort you will encounter long line ups to go in need more staff. The buffet is just ok they seem to have the same menu everyday. Overall a 4 not a 5.

Excellent Value

Excellent facility. Recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. Swimming pools ,sandy beach and great swimming in the warm clean clear sea water with a sandy bottom and no creatures under foot was great Room was clean, comfortable and modern. Food in cafeteria was plentiful and very good. Lots of variety, The specialty restaurants for a change of pace for your pallet were first class. We have spent the last eight years in a Condo in Florida to escape the winter for two months. We can say without exaggerating that the two weeks in Cuba was a better experience then Florida. A little surprised

A friend of mine and I thought the resort was quiet. The disco was out of commission. (Which is a definite for me when choosing a resort) Rooms were clean and great. We lucked out with an ocean view. The waitstaff were just "ok". I had to chase them down for coffee in the morning. The food was decent.( I did not go hungry.)The "Raquet Club" had delicious food and the waitstaff there were attentive and would smile at you. (especially dayleean) Pool bar ladies rocked as well. (Airbnb) We hopped on a tour bus for $25 and took a taxi back.

Fantastic !!!!

On behalf of my husband and myself we were delighted with the resort. The staff were so kind and helpful, our room and the whole resort was clean, food was very good, and the music was so beautiful.
