Fun!

The hotel itself was clean, the staff were polite and very accommodating. The beach wasn't too far away and the beach restaurant was clean and the food was good. Overall, every restaurant we went to the food was very good. Our room was taken care of every day, the fridge was stocked. Evening entertainment was entertaining. I had a lot of fun for this being my first time in Jamaica and I am looking forward to returning. Good Resort- Grounds Public areas, rooms dining, features

All and all, I didn't mind this resort. People were great but service at times slow. I preferred the buffet to the A La Carte except the Italian restaurant. Rooms/Resort/Grounds were very clean & well kept.

Nice Resort

We travelled to Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica the week of February 11-18, 2017. The resort and grounds were very nice. The rooms were very clean and the staff at the resort were very friendly. The food at the buffet was very good, however it was odd to see dinner menu items at the buffet for breakfast. We visited 3 restaurants that require reservations. The Don Pablo restaurant was our least favourite and took forever to get our food, we also didn't get any napkins after asking for them 3 ti [... read more]mes. We went to the Japanese restaurant twice, once at a table and once when they cook in front of you. I would recommend booking a seat when they cook in front of you as the food was much better. The last restaurant we went to was the Italian Restaurant on our last night, it was by far the best food we had the entire trip and would have attempted to go to the restaurant again if we knew it was that good. The appetizer/soup/salad/dessert was buffet style and the food was amazing. The beach near the kids waterpark was very nice, with lots of places to get shade and tons of chairs. There were some stones within the first 3 feet of the shoreline but they could easily be avoided. The pool areas were very nice but if you didn't find a chair with shade by 9:30am you were out of luck. The carpet in the hallways needed to be replaced as there were many stains, however it didn't bother us. The drink selection at the bars was lacking. Bartenders continually said they didn't have the proper items to make certain drinks. I would visit this resort again if the right deal presented itself, but would try somewhere else if the price remains high.

Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica 2017

Very immaculate place, the grounds, pool area, beach all met our expectation. Food was great and always something good to find. Lots of on ground or off site activities.No shortage of Rum or bar area to find, plenty of seating on the beach or pool side. Scuba should be an adventure for anyone at this site, great dive site

Awesome resort!

Loved the resort, staff was super fun and friendly, food was amazing, only problem was making a la carte reservations we were told when we arrived on Thursday we had to wait till Saturday to make them then we were first in line Saturday and told they were full we should have made them online. Standing at the desk doing this we talked to several other people with the same issues. Besides that it was a great vacation.

Excellent Resort

Clean, Well maintained around Pool area & beach area Good Food Just one concern, i would like to bring my daughter to this resort, but she has many allergies, i am not sure, if this can be catered or not.

OK resort. Terrible customer service

Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are dated. Front Desk employees do not resolve issues. They argued about a $12 in room safe charge that didn't work. Would not budge. You will never win a customer complaint argument with them. They will nickel and dime you to the end. No concept of the customer is always right. Like I would lie about a $12 in room safe charge. Won't return here. The cleaning staff and some Restaurant staff were spectacular. Amazing staff

The staff at this resort makes the entire experience priceless. From the service at the breakfast buffet to the bartenders and amazing staff in the kids club - all fantastic! Upon arrival our air conditioning wasn't working and the hotel had this resolved by the time we returned to the room in the evening. We were there celebrating my mothers 60th birthday. The staff decorated the room for her birthday all while she was on the balcony reading a book and had No idea anything was happenin [... read more]g. The jerk chicken is amazing and we never came across a time when it had run out. Definitely make sure to check out the blue hole/island gully experience!

Very Nice Resort!

Grand Bahia Principe Review We enjoyed our stay at Grand Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. Check-in was smooth, it didn`t take more than 10 minutes to get our keys. Our two adjacent rooms were overlooking to the pool and the ocean. The view from the balcony was magnificent! We liked the variety of food at the buffet restaurant. Food were always plenty. The pool is very nice and the water was always clean. Lots of activity around the pool. The swim up bars were always busy. The property is huge but it was not a problem for us as we like to walk. The beach was decent. There are lots of lounge chairs. The shopping village offers variety of goods. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not like that there was a fee for the safe as well as they asked the photocopy of our credit card. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Family Trip

better beaches, up dated facility (broken tile in the bathroom) , staff needs to be a bit more pleasant they should be saying hi to the guests first not the guests to them , pool could be a bit warmer, slight change in the food in that it appeared to be the same thing day after day ,

Great Time

Good bang for your buck. The staff went out of thier way to make you comfortable with everything. Food was good and the room was clean The only real problem I have with this resort is that you have to pay for the safe in your room. I would tell my friends to stay here

Short but sweet

Me and my girl friend had a great vacation. 5 nights. Buffets were excellent! Staff were very helpful sometimes a little to helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. Gardens are beautiful.

Amazing resort

Good service very clean amazing people enjoyed the beach food was excellent had so much fun I will definitely will go again beautiful resort very well maintained very safe the shows at night were very enjoyable so is shopping I'm glad I have made good choice to go and the most I like to thank my travel agent saskia for helping thru it all good job thanks to you all trip central

Very nice resort

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Entertainment, food, service, beach and pool very nice. Only two issues I had was we were in block 15 and it was very noisy as we were close to the entertainment. So if you are earlier to go to bed then ask for a quieter block away from the entertainment. Also, the heavy wood doors were always being slammed by the guests. It was very loud and would wake anyone up. Not sure what could be done about that though. Secondly some sections of the pool have no st [... read more]airs or ladder. I had no problem getting out but many women with a little extra weight on could not get out.

Beautiful resort

This place was excellent. It was clean and kept clean daily. The room was spacious with a great view of the pool and beach area. The staff was always eager to help with a smile. The beach area was long enough for everyone and always had a lounging chair ready everyday. It was great to walk the beach and grounds.with beautiful palm trees and such.Highly recommend this resort. Nice clean grounds and well maintained...a bit of a turn off when they sprayed areas for mosquitos and spray blew back into vacationers. Roomy, clean and well maintained Common areas. Lots of inside and outside lobbies to sit back and enjoy a drink or two!!! Nice rooms however kept on smelling sewage in and around room. Common room hallways a bit grungy...could use a good cleaning. Long beach strips with adequate seating/lounges with amazing ocean views...good times!! Grand Bahia Principe, Jamaica was beautiful!

The grounds were absolutely beautiful. lush and green, well manicured. The pools were well maintained and very clean. The dining areas were well staffed and the food was presented very well and also very clean surroundings. The rooms were cleaned every day and we received clean linens, even though we had the intent to use our towels for 2 days. The staff, what can I say, but that they were WONDERFUL. This was the first time that we have gone to a resort where all staff spoke English. It w [... read more]as great that we could communicate with them and have discussions, etc. etc. Lastly, we asked for a room change to an ocean view which they granted us. It was fantastic. What a gorgeous view. Great resort, great weather, good food, drinks, etc. etc. What more can we ask for!

Avoid this resort!

This was by far the worst customer experience we have ever had and I've been to at least 20 all inclusive resorts and I've been to Jamaica before at a different resort! The beach is great! The food is good! But the staff are unhelpful, ambivalent, and unfriendly! It made the stay much less enjoyable. The entertainment is again the worst I've ever had. There are many hotels in Jamaica and I would certainly pick a different one next time.

Not as expected

The Grand Bahia Principe is a beautiful resort but to us it felt cramped and very loud. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff is absolutely amazing but it was disappointing to have to ask for little things like coffee in the room or washcloths. It seemed that every day something was forgotten. This is a wonderful resort for families with children as there are many activities for the little ones. Food was very good both at the buffet as well as the a la carte restaurants.

Grand bahia principe Jamaica

If you have been to other Bahia s this one really is not up to the same standards. it lacked the entertainment. I upgraded to the Royal Golden, was suppose to have separate check in. Did not happen. no bath towels in room nor a key for safe. Had to give a deposit for the safe. I did not feel this was right at all.
