Riu Palace Macao: Great vacation

Our room at first was horrible but went to front desk told be to return at 3pm, I did and they gave me keys for another room to check it out 100 percent better and moved after the first night. Buffet was good but if not there when first open if you want hot food you need to find someone making something any hot food sitting was normally cool (microwave might have helped) overall thou great time and meet great people!

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Highly Recommend

Great resort, clean, well maintained, amazing friendly staff, good restaurants, zero complaints. No reservations at restaurant is great. Taco truck is awesome. Easy to get a pool chair. No towel cards is the way to go.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great resort and beaches

- this was our 2nd visit to Majestic Colonial -VIP club - - Checking in took a lot longer than necessary (1-2hrs) - arrived at our room to find out that it wasn't what we requested (two beds, ground floor). We were on the 4th floor and only one bed. We had to wait for our luggage to get up to the room, then wait for them to find us another room. We couldn't leave the room until our luggage arrived. Then we had to go down to guest services and get our bracelets changed and then go to our new ro [... read more]om. - butler was not very attentive, so I had a little chat with her and let her know what was expected from her and how she could improve for the benefit of other guests. After this chat she was excellent!! - a la carte meals were excellent. - buffets had lots of selection - beaches were amazing!!! - it was difficult to find chairs / cabanas. There were a lot with towels on them, but no one was around. This has nothing to do with the resort, but more to do with guests

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Mixed Review

I will start this review with the fact that our primary reason for travelling was for the golf experience and it was excellent. The shuttle back and forth to the Cocotal was always on time and the driver was helpful. As for the resort itself we spent the extra money for The Level experience but this was disappointing. From our check in which took far too long and the fact that we had to carry our own bags and golf clubs to our room after travelling for 12 hours would be deemed unacceptable. We r [... read more]elied on our concierge in The Level to confirm our bookings for our a la carte restaurants and they failed to do so whereby on 3 occasions when we arrived at our restaurant they had no booking for us. The commute from the lobby to the Level section was quite far and the wait for a trolly took surprisingly long. On several occasions we walked instead of waiting... The only perk of the Level was the rooftop bar where the staff was amazing and the drinks equally so. As for our room, we had to have our phone fixed, our safe did not work, and we had to request both water and coffee pods as they failed to replenish them. Sadly we paid for Level service but did not get it... The beach was lovely, the food was ok, the pool for the Level guests was small but served its purpose. We have stayed at many Melia properties and this was our most disappointing experience. We will not be returning to this property. Thank you to the wonderful rooftop staff that were so accommodating and lovely. The golf and they were our highlights.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: ABSOLUTELY GREAT RESORT

ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE....STAFF IS AMAZING...POOL AND GROUNDS ARE VERY WELL KEPT...JOHN WILLIAM WAS THE BEST ...AND NICOLE MORELASE WAS A SWEETHEART AND KEPT US BUSY AND ENTERTAINED AND MADE NEW FRIENDS WITH BOTH OF THEM

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Good resort

The resort in general was good. It is close to the beach, the pools are nice, many activities to do. However food is not too good, specially the international restaurant, food lacks of taste, and the wifi is not good is your room is away from the lobby.

Overall Rating: 2/5 This resort fell well short of expectations and should not be marketed as a 5-star property. While the room layout works well for families and young kids enjoyed the splash pad, the overall experience was inconsistent and frustrating—especially when travelling as a larger group with couples, children, and grandparents. Major issues included the lack of a resort app, making basic tasks like restaurant reservations inefficient and confusing. Language barriers with many st [... read more]aff made it difficult to get help or provide feedback, often leading us to give up altogether. Dining was a significant disappointment: over an entire week, we were only able to secure one à la carte reservation for two people. Multiple times, reservations for our full group were “confirmed” only to be missing when we arrived. If à la cartes are important to you, this is not the resort. Cleanliness and maintenance need serious improvement. Rooms showed signs of wear, furniture was dirty, appliances malfunctioned, and housekeeping was below average even with tipping. The grounds and pools lacked upkeep, with visible litter and residue left unattended for days. Hospitality also felt lacking—service was often slow or dismissive, and tipping did not improve the experience. Additional drawbacks included inconsistent room amenities, no designated coffee bar, basic décor throughout the resort, limited drink menus, and a kids club that does not allow parent participation. Despite being marketed as beachfront, the beach is at least a 15-minute walk away. Overall, we came based on recommendations and high reviews but would not return. For a similar price point, resorts like Lopesan offer a far superior, more polished, and reliable experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Honest review

1. Staff was helpful & kind 2. Rooms were spacious 3. Hygiene not to the standard, also be prepared for mosquitoes if you are at 1st floor 4. Food was low quality & not very much variety 5. Lots to do in the resort itself, so would not be bored. 6. If you have low to medium budget then go for it, otherwise go for better

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing resort

I was at Ocean blue and sand for 10 days. Never had one problem. Staff was excellent. Food was great great entertainment. Everybody was very friendly. I would recommend this and I would definitely go back I had a fall on the grounds uneven pavement twisted my ankle and hurt my wrist

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Great stay at Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana

We had a wonderful time at Wyndham Alltra! The resort is very clean and beautiful with amazing swimming pool. The food in buffet was always fresh, well-prepared and more than enough. Will be back next year and will recommend this resort to our friends. Thanks to everyone!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: A great week!

The resort was beautiful, with lots of swimming pools and shade huts on the beach. All the restaurants were exceptionally good. The most outstanding feature of this resort was the incredible service…a concierge in each villa who could deal with any and all requests. Villa 90’s Alfredo was super! Transportation around the resort for restaurants, shopping, sports always available.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort

The hotel was clean and well organized. The pools were lovely and you can find a quiet or loud one depending on your taste. Our family enjoyed the food in all of the restaurants. It was relaxing not having to book à la cartes. We stayed in swim up rooms on the back side of the preferred section which was really nice because in the afternoon it is shady and peaceful. The beach , of course, was the only negative.

Ocean El Faro: Great Resort and Experience

The resort exceeded my expectations. Our Jr suite was spacious, bed was super comfy, and bathroom had everything we needed. Grounds were impeccable and very scenic. Evenings at the strip were fun and entertaining. Shows were good and the restaurants were all great, including the buffet. Main beach was a bit rough but right next to it was a beautiful and calm bay/beach that’s still part of the resort. There aren’t any chairs there but if you just want to swim, it’s perfect. Bars served up amazing [... read more] drinks - lots to choose from but our favourites were the caipirinhas and mojitos. Mike’s Cafe was also a special hangout for us where you can get specialty coffees, smoothies, juices and small treats throughout the day. Ocean el Faro is one of my favourite resorts in PC and we’ll definitely be returning.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful resort

It’s a lovely place. Well maintained and very clean. Beaches are beautiful pools are really nice. The swim up bar pool was very dirty. This trip we didn’t go inl look like a cesspool unfortunately it was connected to the lap pool so I couldn’t do my swimming laps. The good news is there are many other pools to use that were perfect.The food was good unfortunately they always overcook their chicken and most meats. Food always cold, but it is hard to feed that many people. I’m sure they do the bes [... read more]t they can. The furniture is really worn out in the common areas They need to replace all chairs and sofas really uncomfortable to sit on. The bedroom lights didn’t work and both sinks did not drain. They were also not fixed even though we brought it to their attention. overall we always have a wonderful time. We’re not really there for the food or fancy rooms. The rooms were cleaned very well every day. I have to say the people were much more friendly than they were the first time I was there. Happy to say I will be returning for my 65th birthday in April. Looking forward to another great week!!

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Ok resort

Clean rooms and resort. Food at ala cartes was good but not very hot. Easy to get reservations. Only 1 ATM at resort and its on the family side, it was not working more than half the time I was there. Beach had lots of natural shade with all the palm trees. Staff were friendly and helpful. The one really negative is when you arrive you are hit up with a "free breakfast" at their exclusive club, which is an invitation to a sales pitch to join their club. Had a problem with my shower door not closing and causing lots of water on bathroom floor, told front desk twice about it and no one came to even look at it in the 10 days I was there

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Not worth the money

We leveled up for the for the extra $1000.00 per person. 1. 45 minutes for us to check in 2. Property is to long had to wait for a shuttle for the buffet and restaurants 3. The level pool to small 4. No area on the beach for level guest 5. Food is better in Cuba 6. Level staff do not make or confirms reservations for you 7. Had to asks for daily water and coffee pods. 8. The property is a 4 star at it’s best Plus 1. Level bar was good

The resort was lovely and so were the people working there. Always making us feel special. The food was amazing and a huge variety to choose from This was our 6th time at this resort in a row. One suggestion for improvement to consider, if the archery time could increase from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. When more people show up you are given a very short time to participate within the current 30 minutes. Overall a 8/10 See you next year.

3rd visit. Esthetically, the grounds, pool areas, beach are still beautiful and well maintained. The lobby is nice and airy with a decent vibe. From there, things can appear badly in need of an update...We upgraded to Privilege, specifically to avoid a sub-par room and better service. On arrival we were assigned to a back alley view (garden) room with dicey a/c, twin beds (requested king), broken latch on the sliding doors, welcome gift (wine) assigned to someone other than us. Also, not sure ho [... read more]w cool it is to allow the OB cat population to explode as it has there, but we were serenaded by reproduction for the entire first night. We were instructed to resolve the room matter with our butler, who was super helpful (at the beginning) and we did manage to get the room up to date. Privilege helped us to that point, but beyond the reserved beach cabanas, we may as well have been standard class guests. Privilege does not elevate the food experience at all. Despite Butler arranged reservations, we had to line up each night for our tables. Our coveted "Steakhouse" experience was a disaster. Mostly ignored for the entire meal (no welcome, no bread, no refills)...until my partner showed the server her well done (ordered mid rare) dinner. If anyone came by to offer wine/water/bread during the meal, matters could have been resolved, but we were made to feel that it was our fault that the meal was sub-par. Skip the service nightmares at "a la carte" restos, and just go to the buffet. Saving grace...one privilege benefit was the little lounge overlooking the sea with serve yourself snacks and top shelf bar + lovely restrooms!

Absolutely loved this place. Had a blast. Everything went smoothly n I’m overly happy with my very first trip away. Happy with my travel agent. Would definitely go again n recommend. Food was great. Entertainment was fantastic. Resort was beautiful n fun.
