Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: This resort has it all.

This resort was amazing!! Having travelled to numerous resorts over the last 20 years (25+ trips) this resort has figured it out. There is designated areas for families, adults (no kids) and club members, each having their own little resort inside the Grandpalladium complex. They have a lot of the restaurants, coffee shops, sports bar, sky bar and theatre all in the same vicinity calling it the village, this is also great as there is a nice atmosphere in the evenings for people to enjoy. I will be back for numerous holidays.

Krystal Grand Cancun: Amazing resort

the hotel was amazing, the food was always fresh and good staff friendly, beach wonderful would give 10 stars for all my trip honestly couldn’t choose a more beautiful place thank you would recommend highly.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Fair at best

To start with when we arrived in our room it smelled like mould and mildew, the tables had actual crud stuck on them, thankfully I brought lysol wipes and was able to clean them. The cupboard door to access the fridge was off the hinge and falling apart. The bathroom shower had mould all along the floor at the bottom of the glass. The tap handle on the sink was about to fall apart. Our fridge was not stocked even though I asked it to be a few times until our last full day there. Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Looks Can Be Deceiving

The hotel is beautiful. Really modern and wows you on first impression. After a few days you see this place isn't kept clean. Especially bathrooms. They also didn't do a great job cleaning rooms. Lunch is great. Lots of options. Dinner is okay. The Mexican restaurant was terrible for both lunch and dinner. Buffet was always the same. Enjoyed Italian and Grill restaurants Beach is wonderful. They have a big street that's gorgeous which would be perfect for bands and entertainment, instead it becomes a playground for kids at night. It certainly could have been worse. There are just a lot of things they can improve on. We needed a vacation in the sun, we booked last minute and took what was available. It's not like we suffered, it's just that this place could be a lot better. I wouldn't go back unless I knew improvements have been made.

Krystal Grand Cancun: Amazing Beach!

The beach was absolutely stunning! The beach service was second to none! The rooms were clean and the cleaning crew was great! We knew going in about the line up for a la carts and we got 3 days booked with them. The buffet was good, always had a mixture of food and lots of fresh fruit! The drinks were amazing and they weren't shy with the amount of alcohol! Super friendly staff and the location to shopping was like a 5 minute walk! The pools were great and so was the swim up bar! Overall the resort was great but I highly suggest reading reviews because they will tell you what to expect! The papalas were taken early in the morning with towels but again knew this going in and we secured one every day we wanted one.

I have so much negativity about the place that i will only say for you to pick another resort for your next trip!. i was very dissapointed about the place. its in ruins and you will find your stay very uncomfortable. good luck

Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres: Great hotel

This hotel did a wonderful job of making our holiday special. It is not fully open and I wonder if when it is fullly open if the service would be as good The only concern would be the food options not all the restaurants were open perhaps if all were open it would be different they have limited options in each of the restaurants I believe they need to expand their menu

Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres: very nice resort. Great meals and amazing employees

Service was great. We had to change rooms on Monday due to a water leak. Our new room was on the upscale side but we actually liked our old room better. Resort was a little further away from the airport than we thought, 1 1/2 hour ride to get to the resort . 3 stops and we unfortunately were the final stop. Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Rude and impatient staff

We thought the hotel was clean and the beach was incredible BUT the staff at the resort were all very rude. Not a single member of bar staff greets you with a smile. They are impatient and disrespectful. We were a large group of 32 people and the resort couldn’t accommodate us and were not even nice about it.

Krystal Grand Cancun: Not bad but not great!

The Krystal Grand could use some TLC. The room was as basic as they come with plugged sink and shower and lights that didn’t work. The door was found unlocked more than once as the door needed to be pulled extra hard to latch. The cleaning ladies clearly did not pull hard enough at least 3 times as we came back to un unlatched door. The hotel was very loud and echoed from the lobby bar. ( we were on the ninth floor) there are 4 elevators with only two kind of working. One of the two got shut  [... read more]down several times and even semi trapped patrons having to be removed by a ladder we were told. Food in the buffet was okay but the same every night. The A la cartes were delicious especially the Japanese restaurant:) service was good overall around the pool and the place was clean. The activity staff were nice enough but definitely not overly motivated to get people involved in there small pool games. Very minimal activities going on and no real entertainment at night other than a couple of short dancing shows. Overall, I would not return to this hotel unless some upgrades were done and a few changes made.

Pros: 1. Nice location 2. Very nice beach 3. Good poolside/beach side service 4. Decent breakfast 5. Nice pools Cons: 1. Lunch and Dinner Buffett -same menu as each other, and every day, not very good, little variety, little to no seafood. The buffet has no AC and they do not have the terrace section open which is the nicest part. It’s a bit ridiculous to be waiting to get into the buffet as well. 10-15 minute waits sometimes 2. Dumb restaurant reservation at 9am by Internet, will fil [... read more]l up, quick. This changed partway through but nobody was told - could not book reservations 3. No ice cream. The snack bar that is 24 hours, is not 24 hours and charges about $5 usd for a scoop. The buffet deserts suck. 4. “o week” - a couple hundred Mexican kids came for a grad trip and made the stay unenjoyable. The noise from 2am-4am kept us and many other guests awake. The hotel staff just watched. Nobody told them to be quiet or leave. The hotel lobby design with the central atrium means that noise in the lobby will be heard by everyone. This was every night that we were there - 4 in a row. We left while they remained, so I am sure it continued. Staff was useless in remedying this. 5. 4 elevators. 2 permanently out of service. The other 2 worked intermittently, and were too small to accommodate the traffic. Further there is no AC or air flow at all, it becomes disgusting. Stairwells are marked poorly as well. If you are lower level stairs will work, but God help you if you are on the 14th floor. 6. Little useful information provided upon check in, no map. 7. Our room was old

Riu Caribe Cancun: Excellent hotel and vacation experience.

Many aspects of this hotel are world class. Newly renovated with contemporary design, and maintained in spotless condition. RIU do this kind of vacation experience very, very well and have brought a 'Euro vibe' with the 'RIU Party' themes held at this hotel, in a purpose-build area. These are very lively, wonderfully organised, and very well managed security-wise etc. Food was excellent for this kind of '5 star' all-inclusive experience. Breakfast service, with the table staff was a bit sparce and slow, and having water glasses at the table would have been good. Lunch and dinner had better service; dinner service had water glasses. Wine quality was decent and typical of these hotels. The 'a-la-carte' restaurants, whilst I think these are never of the standard of actual external high-end restaurants were, nonetheless, very good; the food was delicious and the service excellent. The bar staff were attentive and friendly; the swim-up-bar the best I have experienced, with the staff having a wonderful, fun-loving attitude and keeping the drinks flowing. The sports bar is well air-conditioned and a welcome break from the heat. The reception moved my room as I didn't get my booking when I arrived. They were extremely helpful. The rooms, again newly renovated, were the best I have experienced on these vacations - well equipped, comfortable beds, very clean - housekeeping is excellent. Beach was very good - beautiful sand, not much seaweed (cleared every morning). Seawater quality was excellent. The adjoining RIU hotel seemed to permit beach access which made the beach seem a bit longer, although, disappointingly, access to this RIU hotel was not permitted. I did walk one day 4km to another RIU hotel to which I had access. Again, it was very good but not as good as this one. In this area of Cancun, hotels are closer together and the whole experience is more intense than, say, Playa del carmen. That's the kind of holiday this is - more lively and a terrific hotel for groups and parties. It is somewhat child-friendly, but not significantly so. I was very impressed with and thoroughly recommend this hotel. If I go back to Cancun, I would want to stay here. Well done RIU!

Grand Park Royal Cancun: Excellent service and seamless travel experience

From the moment we booked, the team was by our side!!! Even though we’d made errors while booking the tickets, agents from trip central owned our challenge like it was their vacation and supported us vigilantly to make our trip amazing. Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Not bad

The only good thing about this hotel was the quality of buffet food, but it didn't have any entertainment or music programs by the pool, its pools were very small and dirty, and in the end, it didn't have good room service either for cleaning or for food.

Krystal Grand Cancun: It was an ok resort

The resort itself was a nice design the pool area and service were really good but resort is dated and very little activities - food at Buffett was blah but the Al la Carter’s were decent - fave was Ayami

Riu Latino: Amazing Vacation

The beach was fantastic, the staff very friendly, an amazing vacation! Hotel was clean, food was good, staff were accommodating. Changed rooms as we were on top of the disco, they were so amazing about it.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Magnifique resort & staff

Everything is excellent with diamond service. The beach, the pools and the staff are really exceptional!!! The food is good but seen better in other resort we’ve been. The night entertainment is poor but ok. We probably book again at that resort, we really loved it ?

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: A week in paradise

The grounds were beautiful, the food was great especially the steakhouse. On Saturday nights they do a huge mexican outdoor buffet with traditional dishes. Beach was stunning , not alot of seaweed, and waves were perfect. Pool servers were so nice and attentive, entertainment staff was honestly 5+++ stars, our kids were constantly entertained. Nothing negative to say. Was such a great trip! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you Carol for all your help.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Relaxing Adults Only Resort

Nicely laid out. Rooms clean. Public bathrooms need attention to cleanliness by mid day. Restaurants nicely decorated. Some restaurants good food others not so.Disappointing to not have alcohol in the rooms. Mini bar not replenished with soft drinks - only by calling housekeeping then took 24 hrs.

Krystal Grand Cancun: Underwhelming

The room was good, always clean. The view was great. English programs were hard to find on tv, often there were none. Getting to the room can be challenging as never more than half of the elevators were working, sometimes only one. The food was mostly disappointing as the buffet had the same salty choices every night though breakfast was ok. We only went to one a la carte (Italian) and were disappointed. The snack bar at the pool was good but only available for lunch/afternoons. Beach chai [... read more]rs could be had if you were on the beach by 7:30am. The pool chairs were easier to get later but we did see people “reserving” at both the pool and beach, coming back much later or never that day. Some drinks were good, but many just tasted odd. Maybe a difference in the water but rum and coke should taste the same anywhere and gin & tonic shouldn’t make you walk away. We were on a WestJet vacation and their partner, Nexus, was not good. 1-1/2 hour wait at the airport for a transfer and the resort rep only showed up sometimes.
