Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Absolutely thrilled!

The Grand Park Royal Cozumel resort was a pleasure from top to bottom. Cleanliness, service, food, grounds, location, amenities, entertainment, were all fantastic! My wife and I can't say a bad thing about it in any aspect. The only word of advice we can offer the ladies is to be careful in heels on some of the naturals limestone pathways. We were a little concerned going in with the smaller size of the beach and the proximity of the cruise ships and the view they would possibly impede. Secrets Aura Cozumel: Great Vacation!

This resort is actual big, there are two sections. A preferred club and regular side, but both are connected. You can also have access to Sunscape Sabor right next door, which is sister resort. My husband planned this trip for my 50th Birthday and they sure treated me well on my birthday. Overall, the beach is good, but a big rocky. The weather was fabulous, and the island is quiet. The buffet is good for breakfast as well considering it is small. However, for a Secrets, this chain hotel is quiet dated, and could need some upgrades, within the rooms and the grounds. The foliage is well kept, overall the grounds. Beverage service is top notch as well, the alcohol served is top shelf, Jack Daniels, Smirnoff, Grey Goose, Crown Royal. Just need to ask for these when you order. We would go back, but not anytime soon, as we like to see other areas. Transfer was easy to get there and return, the taxi ride isn't long 30 minutes tops.

Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort

The Hotel resort was impeccable. The food was very good. Restaurants a la carte not very interesting. The $500 dollars savings at the Resort as offered was not as described, it was only discounts. People are very nice.

Zel Cozumel: Great place to vacation.

The hotel was very clean the rooms were large. The beach was absolutely beautiful. There was always things in the buffet that you really liked. They also had a bar and grill where you could get chicken wings, hamburgers, nachos etc. We purchased the golf package but you still had to rent your cart and take a cab to the course which was an extra 50 US dollars a day I felt that wasn't fair at all. I don't think they should allow to people eat at the pool bar I noticed some people were washing their hands in the water after eating chicken wings.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Nice Getaway

Well kept hotel. Rooms were spacious and the hammocks on the balcony were great for relaxing. Slides into the pool were fun but the pool bar is small. No swim up bar in the pool by the ocean which was disappointing. Some things in the resort were hard to find like the buffet. The spa is at the resort next door. Food was good as was the drink service on the beach. Overall nice resort, just an odd layout and no night life.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Good overall resort

The hotel is very beautiful. Grounds are well kept. Service was very good. Rooms are very nice,clean and well kept. Ocean views are breathtaking. Restaurants and buffet food is good to excellent. Drawbacks at the resort are very cold pools and small rocky beach. The beach is good for those who snorkel as the water is crystal clear with many different types and colours of fish. Allegro Cozumel: Beautiful Resort Don't Go For the Food!!

We stayed at this resort from Jan 16-23rd. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the weather was fantastic. All the staff were always working very hard everywhere you looked. Fantastic service from Darwin at the Pool bar and keeping us always topped up with fresh drinks. As well Alejandro at the buffet and snack bar, always keeping us smiling and laughing. The only real complai [... read more]nt we had was that the hotel was not at full capacity but there was ALWAYS a line up at the buffet. The food in the buffet was not up to par for a supposed 4 star resort. I have had better food in Cuba. The A La Carte restaurants that we went to, Italian and Mexican again were not up to par. I left after 1 week thankful to not have to eat anymore food from the buffet. We took our son to swim with the dolphins at Chakanaba and it was fantastic! The park was beautiful and the food that was included at the restaurant with our pass was the best we had all week. The rooms were clean but walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours easily. We would not return simply because of the buffet, more because every time you went in there were tons of empty tables but always a huge line up. And Food quality was poor.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Excellen resort!!

We stayed here with our 2 young kids (5 and 8 years old)and absolutely loved it! Room was incredibly big with a nice balcony overseeing the ocean. Very clean throughout the resort and grounds are well maintained. The food from the main restaurant was good. Every day there was a selection of fresh fish, seafood, chicken or beef from the grill. Kids loved the beach, pools, mini putt, snorkelling, and feeding the fish off the pier. We would definitely recommend this resort!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Our January Stay

Staff was great, food delicious with great evening entertainment. Only complaints were that there was no club, just a restaurant open late and the showers went from freezing to scolding hot. We had a great time overall.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Such a great experience!

This is the second time at Iberostar Cozumel and we had an even better experience than the first. The grounds are lovely with vegetation and exotic birds. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious and fresh. This is diving heaven so if you are not into diving or snorkeling (or just swimming surrounded by fish) the swimming may not be to your liking. The pool is not heated so the water is cold (in January) and the beach is very rocky so entry in the ocean is off the dock.  [... read more] Lastly, the entertainment is very good - highlights are the Fire Show on Thursday and Beatles Tribute band on Monday.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Awesome vacation in a superb resort

The hotel is well appointed with large clean rooms. The beach is small, but never overcrowded and with two infinity pools and hot tubs choices are available. There is also a main pool. A la carte restaurants offer a good choice and the buffet restaurant varies themes daily. Entertainment is provided in the main area as well as at the amphitheater. Service is exemplary at all times, and tipping is optional without penalty. The resort is lush with tropical greenery and several bars and bistro [... read more]s keep you well fed and watered. Free wifi is provided. All in all a good 4.5 star that checks all the boxes.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Very Nice

It was smaller then we expected and had a Jungle Theme, lots of trees. On hot days it was always comfortable in the "room" areas. The people that worked there were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed speaking with many of them. We felt very comfortable being able to walk outside the compound which we did a number of times. The pool was great, the activities were wonderful, we did participate a couple of times. They went beyond with food on the beach and the beautiful evening entertainment at [... read more] the beach. Actually I believe this place had probably the best entertainment of the places we have been or certainly right there on top with the best. The one down fall was that the water had a lot of rock in it and we could not swim in it. If we went on the pier where the fish were we could climb down the stairs and enter the water that way which we did. So if you don't mind a small place and rocks in the water it is a nice place to go. Snorkeling is great and lots of people went scuba diving.

We both love this resort, the service was great, everyone we're glad to help or serve you the best they could. For our first time to Secret Aura we were so please. The restaurant food was delicious and to top it all we didn't have to make reservation even in the restaurant A la Carte, that was wonderful and sooo good, everywhere you ate. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Loved the place

Everything was well keped on the grounds. The birds were well looked after as well as the cats the food was excellent and lots the entertainment was great as they got the audience involved the only thing that disappointed me was our bed it was a double and we were expecting a king but we didnt spend that much time in our room anyway o yes thy even had an umbrella in the room

Occidental Cozumel: Need work and better management should be able to help. Food is a whole different ball game.

Grounds, lovely, evening entertainment, none really. Bar with cappuccino machine for morning coffee not open until 11:00am...UGH Fridge in room needs to be filled with a bit more than 3 water and 3 beer...REALLY. We are not children. Many employees, not all, are not in holiday mode and if nothing else should smile. Reserving tables... when we are the first to arrive at a booked restaurant and are told a table is reserved and we can't have it, reserved, really...that is bulls..t. Occidental Cozumel: Fantastic!

Beautiful resort with very lush, manicured vegetation. The secluded Mexican Hacienda style buildings and layout leave the impression of a more upscale, quiet hotel (in comparison to multiple all-inclusive resorts we have visited in the past). We enjoyed the nice sandy beach, watching sunsets from the wooden pier, dancing in the courtyard under the stars to a live band as well as a huge variety of food and drinks. Allegro Cozumel: Divers Paradise

This was an amazing trip starting off by a nicely renovated from top to bottom complex . The grounds were clean and nicely manicured and rooms were very comfortable . Tried all the restaurants all had very polite and hard working staff with good selections to choose from . I purchased the Ultimate divers package which i my mind was well worth the added cost from private concierge named Hector who made or week a pleasure to the private relaxing center with premium bar and food when the other re [... read more]staurants were in transition and dive benifits for the week with a great dive center on site with great instructors to show you all the amazing wild life and coral structures this great reef area has to offer . This getaway is rated 4 star but with a few minor tweaks will be a 5 i will definitely be going back again soon .

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Amazing Service

We arrived at the resort around 11pm, had a very quick check in and taken to our room. I had contacted the resort prior to us arriving to let them know my husband's birthday was during our stay. When we got into the room they had a bottle of wine, 2 glasses and a beautiful cake waiting. The room itself was amazing, huge, with an amazing ocean view and huge balcony. We couldn't talk to each other it was so loud and there was a smoke machine going. We quickly left and walked down the beach to the next resort to get a drink and a bite to eat. The food was very good at the ala cartes for dinner and lunch, I would recommend going to the buffet for breakfast. We ordered room service for breakfast twice and it was not very good. The food from the beach menu was very good. The servers were all fantastic. The beach is beautiful and long, but there are no palapas unless you are in the privileged section and not many there. The rest of the beach has umbrellas, but again not many. There was a strong smell of sewer gas throughout areas of the resort every once in a while including our washroom. There wasn't much in the way of entertainment. What was missing was a real lobby. It is more like a wide entrance to the back of the resort. This resort isn't up to the usual Secrets standards, but they are constantly working and I can see they are trying to get it there but they have a way to go. So saying all this. The food, the service and the room were all great.

The place was very beautiful and the scenes and animals added to the forest image they were attempting to portray. The staff were very friendly and engaging. The problem was that I was sick with food poisoning twice (no did not drink too much) and that was a real turn off.
