Dining area could improve with more lights and windows. Night time it's very dark with no lights in the walking path. Some light were not change even and no lights in our hallway. We did mentioned nothing happened. Haha.

Great time!

We liked our stay at memories flamenco. We read reviews before we went, there was nothing to be worried about. We always found something to eat at the buffet. They make pizza and omelets and pasta right in front of you. Our room was nice in building 3, right beside the snack bar. We had fresh capucino each morning. My husband had to go put a towel on a chair by the pool or we were stuck without...that happened and we learned fast. The chairs were reserved by 7am...kind of early. My 8 year old daughter did not want to leave the resort, she wants to live there! Kenny was a sweetheart who works there.

Awesome Trip - Would Return in the Heartbeat!

Had a wonderful, relaxing time. From booking (excellent service from the booking agent), to flights both ways, to all the wonderful beach walking and sun bathing, to meals, to all - enjoyed immensely!!

Great resort

Staff were amazing, food and a la cart restaurants were very good. The beach was where we spent most of our time. The staff on the beach were great. They helped us every day get our beach chairs out. The bbq down on the beach served food for lunch that was very good. Overall we had a great time.

Desk service and club house horrible

4 hours before receving our room and no extra towel all week-end long. Se ask for honneymoon package and nobody Was aware at hotel. Food mot si good and big there was big Linup at restaurant à la carte and buffet

Great resort

This was our first vacation to Cuba, this resort is great. Beach is fantastic, pools are great, the room needed a little work and the staff was awesome. There was one waiter in the buffet "Oscar", his service was outstanding. The grounds are beautiful and the grounds keepers who look after them are great. The food for the most part was great. Relaxing Family Beach Getaway

We were pleasantly surprised by this affordable vacation. The airport in Cayo Coco is small and elegant with a short bus ride to the resort. The seafood at this resort was excellent. I recommend the chicken cordon bleu at the Mediterranean a-la-carte. The smoothie princess at the buffet is an absolute delight. We spent a lot of time on the miles of peaceful beach. The water here is absolutely beautiful. The 5 peso double decker bus ride to Playa Pilar is a fun way to see the island and enjoy a s [... read more]tunning beach. Our kids (10&12) felt very safe at this resort and were able to find lots of food to enjoy. If you are looking for an affordable resort to relax in the sun you won't be disappointed with Memories Flamenco Beach Resort.

Great Getaway!

Lovely, relaxing week away. Staff were super...very friendly and helpful. Grounds were well kept. Great food and entertainment. Would return to this all-inclusive for sure! And, would recommend to friends and family.

Good resort

grounds were nice, public areas kept fairly clean, staff and management were friendly and helpful, rooms were maintained daily, pools were good, food was good, public toilets needed more cleaning, beaches ok, entertainment appeared ok, but only attended one night, good programs for children, room bathroom had problems when we arrived, but some of the problems were fixed throughout week

Another enjoyable vacation

Just returned from our third visit at the Memories Flamanco we were pleased to see many improvements under way. Our room was clean always hot water and clean towels housekeeping was always helpful. Checked in was a little unorganized however the issue was corrected quickly. We enjoyed it the pools the most the beach is beautiful however way to many sand fleas for us also bug spray at night is recommended. Good

beds were terrible as well as linens( stained and dirty) The towels were not replaced because of a laundry issue, The beach although beautiful is 3/4 coral and tricky to get into the water, The staff is friendly but the resort itself for being a newer resort is quickly going downhill with bad repair jobs in all areas. The food was fairly good for Cuba and the staff worked hard and most were friendly. Our family did enjoy our vacation but this is NOT a 4 star 3 maybe.

Amazing Resort and Beach

the beach was fantastic! the water so nice and clear and no seaweed, the long beach was nice for long walks, the resort was really nice and the food was great, the people who work at this resort were really nice and they really work hard to keep everything up and running. this was one of the best resorts weve been to.

Very nice resort good value

The staff work very hard to provide a good service. We traveled Cuba,DR,Mexico,and Jamaica the staff provided us with great service or better than some of the other areas.The beach wasn't the greatest a lot of coral. The food was good but no matter what country in the Caribbean the buffets all taste the same. The resort it self could be a bit more organized ie: in the buffet the food stations spread out a little more the bread and grill next to each other meant long line ups often meaning no eggs or bread for many. It was the first resort we had to drag our luggage to our room after waiting for five hours for our room to be ready . We didn't care about the wait but being up for sixteen hours and dragging our luggage to room was a little much. Also the construction around the pool and lobby bar took away things a bit. But the grounds were beautiful and well taken care of by the gardeners. We would only recommend this resort if the price was below 1100 . I would of rated this place a four but the seaweed on the beach,construction and check-in influenced my rating.

Truly wonderful experience

The Staff are simply the best that I have encountered anywhere in my travels. The Resort has Character and the Grounds are simply immaculate. Everyone talks about the Food , but believe me you will never go hungry. The Buffet has an abundance of selection and great Cooks(namely Devon) one crazy cook Lol. The Beach is a beautiful Aqua color and yes there is some coral but it is great. The rooms are quite large airy. Such a great vacation!

This is a slightly older resort, and when we were there it was overcrowded and that lead to a lot of really crabby complainers...and while there were some minor inconveniences, none of it was as dramatic as some made it out to be. The beach was gorgeous, the pools were beautiful, perfect temp and height for different swimming levels...my youngest son loves kids club! The food surprised me...it was better than I expected! Amazing Beach, Great Resort, Excellent Trip!

First of all, the beach is absolutely stunning. Water extremely clear, can see everything in the ocean, including starfish, sand dollars, crabs, etc. You can walk for hours when you turn to the right... there are a few spots that are rocky, but we didn't need water shoes, just slipped on the flip flops for a minute until the rocks past. Food was very good for Cuba - I would not compare it to Mexico, but if you prefer excellent food over excellent beaches, go to Mexico (or stay home). Lunch had l [... read more]ots of varieties to choose from - poutine, pizza, fish, fried chicken, burgers, hotdogs, pasta, etc. A La Carts were excellent - Italian Mushroom Risotto was fantastic, Mediteranian was extremely good too. Service was great here, it was busy, but we never waited more than a minute at the bar. Entertainment staff here were amazing, we had a blast with them, including playing in a game of baseball with them out back. They really made our stay great! Rooms are large, and very simple, nothing to complain about there (beds a little hard). We were in bungalow 10, which is very far away. If you don't like walking, request a bungalow closer to the main lobby and pools (like bungalow 1, 2, 3, 4). We didn't mind the walking, so it was fine, but certainly it was pretty far. Mosquitoes get a bit bad at night, but this is to be expected, you will find that everywhere. Overall our week stay was great... we have traveled to many places (Antigua, St.Lucia, St. Maarten, Mexico, Bahamas, etc), and this beach was by far the Best we have ever seen.

Cockroach hotel

This was the most disappointing trip to Cuba ever. The hotel was old, dirty and lacked any care. Rooms are full of cockroaches. I have been to Cuba 5 times now- this hotel may have prevented me from ever traveling there again. Don't believe positive reviews- the walls were climbing in bugs as you tried to sleep.

There was good with the bad

We loved the ground and the staff. The food was the best I have had in Cuba so far. Unfortunately the rooms are very unkempt and the cleaning staff not very good. We had roaches and broken toilets along with the staff taking soap we had out of our room. We were warned about rocky beaches - but they were great for kids who wanted to see sea life. Starfish, clams, sea urchins etc.

Very disappointed 4.5 star?? I don't think so.

Check in was a long process. Rooms were short of towels, dirty, linens had so many stains and huge roach infestation. They told us that they didn't have beach towels for us, suggested we use our bath towels (given the fact that we were having a hard enough time getting enough to bathe, we decided to purchase 3 towels from the gift shop ($90 Canadian dollars later) we were in business. I will say that the food in the buffet was pretty decent, servers were amazing people who went out of their way to make your meal enjoyable. Entertainment was good. The gentleman making the eggs each morning deserves a 5 star rating. Great job. He was the best. Not my favorite e vacation spot.

Fabulous vacation

Just came back from a week long vacation at this resort. The room and service was first class. The staff was amazing and the food and selection was extraordinary. Really no complaints and believe me I am difficult to please. Although many people think that Cuban food is sub standard, the four of us were very satisfied. The Asian restaurant was top shelf.
