Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Heaven
What can I even say… it’s always amazing to go back to that beautiful beach and the incredible staff who make it feel like home. Every time I leave, a part of me stays there. That beach is unreal, and the people are even more special. It breaks my heart when I see negative comments about Cuba — knowing what those people are going through, they still show nothing but kindness, warmth, and smiles. Nothing is missing. Everything is perfect in its own way. If someone expects something differen [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Memories Caribe beach hotel
Recently spent a week at this resort. We enjoyed our stay We felt the staff were very nice. Beach was spectacular. Some of the entertainment was very enjoyable. The al a carte restsurants were good. Had some delicious meals. Buffet also had a good variety. My only concern was the cleaning of the rooms and lack of towels could be improved.
Sanctuary White Sands: Good
Clean-good Food- fair Service-pretty good Pool-good Beach-good Entertainment-not great Communication-poor Hated not having a paper menu, information on tv and billboards I prefer not using my phone while on vacation but resort forces you to use it. More information on what is going on and what is available would help
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great Resort overall.
Pools were great and in excellent condition. The beach was amazing soft white sands and well maintained. We did however have a lot of issues with our room, no hot water for 5 days, no TV, dribbling water from the tap, battery in door died and had to wait 4 hours for IT manager to come and fix it as we had to sit and wait in the lobby for him to finish his meeting - then 3 maintenance men turned up, no IT Manager. Finally moved our room on day 5 and this room was great. It took the Sunwing re [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great resort
The resort was clean, and well maintained grounds. Everything was close by from our room, so short walk to beach, pool and restaurants. Short drive from airport to resort so made it best to maximize time at resort. Beach area and amenities were great. Definitely on our list to return very soon. Great staff everywhere we went. They were always friendly, caring and helpful. Special mention and shout out to the resort’s public relation rep. C. Lesly Guerra who really made our trip special and m [... read more]
Los Delfines: Los Delfines OK by me
This hotel is small (103 rooms) so everything is close. Staff are great and try hard to keep you comfortable. Food is lacking, but the dining room is very clean. Resort is very dated and needs a refresh.
Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort
It was an excellent week of relaxation/ the staff was wonderful the facility was small but well maintained and the food was good with lots of variety/the room was spacious and well equipped but a little tired with some of those typical issues you find in Cuba (like intermittent hot water)

Starfish Varadero: It was good
The environment was good but the hotel was full of bugs, and other insects and our all body were itching. In the buffet there were cockroach and bugs .The food not good and not enough to eat and no papar toilets. But the workers were amazing and friendly and nice and customer service too.
Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Nice, compact resort
Nice, compact resort that was a little far from airport. With a beer in hand, looking out over the vast turquoise blue waters from the causeway to Cayo Cruz wasn’t a hardship! The new development on the island still leaves some of the island untouched and ready for exploration. It is this, plus great food and service, that made me return (and will return again!). See you soon
Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Piece of Paradise
We had a truly memorable experience at Iberostar Daiquiri. It’s an extremely family-friendly resort with beautiful architecture and stunning grounds. You’ll notice many repeat guests, especially Canadians, which speaks to how special this place is. The Cuban staff is professional, dedicated, and genuinely attentive. Our room was clean, spacious, and offered an unforgettable ocean view. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and functional. Housekeeping did an excellent job [... read more]
Barcelo Solymar: Great resort for the money!!
The staff were great. The pools were also great. The beach and location were amazing. 2 min it's walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to the best part of town. The food is not bad. The rooms are a little dated but worth the value.
Sol Caribe Beach: Ok for Cuba
We only had good care in our room from the maidens the first 2 days, even after leaving tips every day we finished by having to go ask for a broom to clean our floors, had to ask to change our towels even if they were on the floor/wet. Food was basic, nothing special. Even the menu a la carte was deceiving, from small tiny portions, to having to book 24hours in advance. The positive was the beach, and the bartenders were really nice and thoughtful. The gym is nothing like showed on the site, no [... read more]
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing resort
Very nice beach, all places are very close, restaurants are very good, the cafeteria is good Cuban food, the desserts were amazing (it is a French chef) For night entertainment, do not miss ENTRE CUERDAS, a trio of guitarists, simply amazing We had a major problem with water in our room, but we have been advised this is resolved I consider this beach the nicest I have seen in Cuba, beats Varadero
Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Grand memories Sanctuary is good value for money
Even though rooms could use updating, being prepared not to have high expectations, we had a great time. Our house butlers Carlos and Noel were very helpful and attentive. Food at the a la carte restaurants were great. The beach and water were absolutely gorgeous.
Memories Jibacoa: Great resort!
Great service, very clean. Fantastic pool and beach! Best resort in Cuba so far for good off shore snorkeling. Food at the buffet is again pretty average but a la cartes are good! Highly recommend paying the extra for premium.
Memories Jibacoa: A place to relax!
My husband and I had a lovely time. Staff are friendly. The resort is spacious with a number of activities to do: tennis, yoga, snorkeling, diving, hiking, walking, and much more . We'll be back!
Melia Costa Rey: Lovely place, pleasant vacation
A well deserved 4+ star resort. Clean rooms, quite good food, lovely beach, nice size pools. Issues, here and there, ( like hard to change beach towels) ... it happened, but all together, it was a pleasant vacation.
Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful resort
Melia las dunas is a beautiful 19 year old resort its lushness in the plantation of trees tropical plants are so manicured, lobby is huge marble, bright, areas with lots of seating, all grounds are spotless and clean, walk way to beach well kept and easy access, rooms are dated to the newer hotels but clean and fresh, my only issue was lack of hot water to shower with, for 1 week they said issue was being looked at, but the issue is definitely not a quick fix,
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Grand Aston Cayo Paredo was excellent
I recommend the "Club" level upgrade. With it you avoid the crazy buffet lineups, have butler and private adults only pool access, private bar and meal space and priority ala carte restaurant bookings. The tiny Club section down at the beach is nothing to speak of so just enjoy the rest of the beach area. We used Air Canada and the "Spectacular" day long excursion is great value for the $100 and 10% off if you are an Aeroplan member. Lunch is included as are rum and coffee tastings. Tons of [... read more]
