One Word - PERFECT

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and clean. The food, service, entertainment was outstanding. the pool and surrounding washrooms were always well maintained with all amenities.I really struggle to find something negative to write about this resort, I have told 4 couples who have booked the resort after listening to us and seeing our pictures.

I love the beach it was unfortunate that the pool bartender never smiled service was not wonderful. We travel alot and usually very happy but it lacked friendliness, not sure why. Was our friends first time in Cuba and they said it's the last time. I understand that when it's busy u can't due it all, or always smile but we were there all week same guy same long face. Worst Ever

Worst stay ever! My wife fell on an unlit walkway going into a restaurat. Broke her foot. No wheelchair. Took taxi to hospital. Got back - no help whatsoever. Had to change room from 3rd floor to the ground. Refridgerator wasn't working. Asked for 6 staight days in a row, still wasn't looked after when we left. Food at the buffet was cold. Another guest bit into a donut and there was a piece of glass in it and he cut his lip. Great time alone with my husband

grounds are nice. The beach is beautiful. Could go for long walks on beach. Water a deep blue clear color. Great in afternoon when tide was out. Alot of chairs on the beach. Alot of walking if you like that. Need more chairs at the pools. Bar tenders could have been friendlier. Liked that it was adult only.

This ressort is hard to asseses

Beautiful accommodation and beaches but way to far from airport - ca 2 hour from airport plus around 3 hours before departures time plus time of flying make your trip way to long. Lack of milk, fresh juices, jams and serials.

Average resort!

This hotel is sold as being 1.5 years old. I have news for year you, its an old hotel that has been given a face lift. The staff on the whole were great and very friendly, unfortunately there were some that were very unprofessional. Pool staff who were smoking and used the pool deck as an ashtray etc... The buffet was way to small for the size of the resort, with huge lines for food. No beverage service on the beach, and a total lack deck chairs both on the beech and the pool area. There was pl [... read more]ates and glasses left around the pool area from the evening/overnight that were not cleaned up until the late morning. There is a very large bar in the main lobby that most attend after dinner which is very nice, and actually has a non smoking side. Unfortunately, extremely loud and rude French Canadians apparently have NO respect for these signs and smoke everywhere including the very limited non smoking areas. Many of the public wash rooms where either locked, broken or very dirty. The onsite bank ran out of money several times and the hotel ran out of different types of supplies and drinks every day. The long trip from the airport to the hotel is not worth it at all. Go to Cayo Coco as the hotel transfer is only 20-30 minutes. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody, and its out 2nd and last time to Cuba.

Nice Resort!

We stayed from Jan 23-30... We weren't disappointed.. We travelled in a group of 4.... None of us got sick. This resort was gorgeous! The grounds were well kept and very nice to look at..... The pools were very nice, hard to get a lounge chair, so I would advise a member of your group running down and saving lounge chairs as everyone did that... I would recommend going to the restaurant beside the main pool bar, and getting the "Valentin Burger" I got it on my last day, I wish I would have tried it sooner (amazing). The beach was gorgeous! Overall, I would recommend this resort to my family & friends. :)

Beautiful Beach and turquoise water

The hotel was appealing, beautiful rainfall large showers, lovely pools and friendly staff. All amenities are well kept and clean. The food was alright, you certainly would not go hungry. Good value for the cost.

Big Resort

Positives: Hotel was fairly new so in good shape. Beach beautiful could walk for miles, people friendly. Entertainment every night. Lots of activities. Option of 2 large pools, one more quieter. Great snack bar for lunch. Even with the negatives below, for Cuba it was a decent place to go to. Negatives: Didn't always get towels, missing face cloth, hand towels some days. Exelent resort

everythink,perfekt room,area service food,water,ocean,beech,costommer service,peoples very friendly,everythink was very handy,dont ask me to much this was our 16-trip to Cuba and from the aeroport by buse goin to the resort perfekt.

First time in Cuba

First time to Cuba so have no comperision. I enjoyed the beach very nice. Was able to do some snorkeling to the west side. Food was okay you won't go hungry! Don't expect everything to taste as they do at home it's Cuba after all. They did run out of bread, ketchup and fries at one point, so if the food is a priority for you Cuba should be out. The room bar fridge has pop water and beer no snacks. Bathrooms outside of your room often ran out of toilet paper. The 24Hr snack bar does close one evening a week for the privlige guests. Over all had a good time and nice trip. FYI found the catameran trip with snorkeling ,dolphins encounter/show and lobster lunch well worth the money.

Great Resort

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were great. The food had improved greatly since we first visited the resort in November 2014. My only complaint would be that it is a fare drive from the airport, however the tour guide was great, providing us with information about the towns we were driving through.

This resort was no for me !

We just got back from our vacation in Cuba at the Valintin Perla Blanca, I was not expecting the food to be great but figured I would be able to find something to eat during my stay. We tried the buffet the first night and were disappointed so we decided to try the snack bar cause they had french fries and burgers, ya that would be great if they didnt run out everyday, and even then my wife and I were visiting the bathroom very frequently, when we could find one that was not locked. VERY UPSET.. [... read more]. And then when you try to resolve issues the language barrier makes it near impossible to communicate. I ended up counting the days till we could leave this place. I was told that they overbooked because the Oceans resort that was supposed to open next door was not ready and they sent everyone over to this one, great now we dont have enough food for the people that were supposed to be there let alone the newcomers. ON THE PLUS SIDE Drinks were decent and the beach was beautiful, resort was kept reasonably clean and staff was very friendly for the most part. The French restaurant had one of the best and biggest t-bone steaks I have had. Also the Italian restaurant was very good as well, dont even bother wasting your time with the Mexican, I spit it out on the first bite and we all left. Spanish was not bad but of course they didnt have the " Rib Eye " (only on the french side of the menu ) . I did not try the Seafood Restaurant but heard it was good !

GREAT RESORT

My husband and I decided to choose this resort based on the location, value and the photos and we were not disappointed. The staff, including restaurant servers and bartenders were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a gardenview room and it was clean and the housekeeping staff cleaned it each day. While the food wasn't spectacular there was such a wide variety and large buffet that it didn't matter. 2nd visit to this resort

Great resort, food has improved greatly since they first opened. Great pool and staff. Will go back again, very nice lobby bar. Only negative is the distance from airport and noisy housekeeping staff yelling all day outside rooms.

Fabulous Resort

The resort was huge, absolutely beautiful. The staff were so kind, and such a blast to be around. The food was fine, there is definitely something for everyone at the Buffett- just bring along your own sauces and spices if that is a must for you. The a la carte dinner's were amazing- definitely take advantage of all 3 that are included in your week! Be sure to explore both pool side areas, and both snack bars. Better than most in Cuba

Was all ok, clean, food was ok compared to other parts of the country. I did not like the ride to and from the airport, too long Went into the little town ( market) make sure you have cash for the restaurants, as we sat down to have a lobster diner and had to buy a bottle of wine ( they don't do by the glass???) so the bill was $86. Cuban Paso's, went to pay by visa and they don't take anything but cash!!!!! NOWHERE DID IT SAY THAT.

Great

Was there for 14 days in January, restaurant and snack bar staff could use a refresher course and the Manager should purchase some more towels. Lobby and beach bar staff TOP! Food was very good for the most part. Not sure why so many people complain. If you don't find anything for your taste at the Buffet then there is something wrong with you. Spanish ala Carte awesome, Nice beach. Pools looked nice, but can't say much, I like the beach. Sadly the weather was not the greatest. Would go back !!

Pretty Good Resort for Cuba

Brand new hotel, very clean. I love Cubans and how hard they try to offer you the very best of what they have. Make sure you give them a genuine compliment and watch them light up with joy. GREAT BEACH - we hiked 3 km up the beach every day.

Paradise on earth

The rooms were amazing, the grounds amazing, the people beyond amazing and the food was delicious many choices and well cooked. No issues at all with this resort. The beach and the beach tiki bar as well as the pools and snack bars, AMAZING, Always something to do and things to eat. Great people, great service with a smile...couldn't ask for anything more.
