Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Best trip !!

Everything was amazing. The pools the food and the staff and beach. The set up of the resort was great easy to get around after the first day. All the entertainment was great! Bands a DJ and backstreet boys cover. We went away with 8 friends ages 26 to 30 lots to do. One suggestion for people going to adult pool is to bring your own music down to the pool. There is music playing but not very loud if you want a bit more of a party. Everything else was perfect. Food was the best I've had yet at a  [... read more]resort. Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great Holiday!!

My experience at the Melia was a positive one. The beaches were amazing.The staff were all very accommodating, helpful and eager to help. A shout out goes to the bartenders and wait staff at the Wet Bar. They were amazing. The grounds were kept clean. They’re was construction on site but this did not interrupt anything. The food was good and we enjoyed all the speciality restaurants at the hotel. Great holiday!!

I can’t even stress enough how amazing the resort was! Everything from the service to food was pristine! A big big shout out to Daniel, Alfredo & Jorge at RS. We will 100% be back and can’t wait! You need to have breakfast, lunch and dinner and La Palapa if you’re staying with Royal Service. Avoid the buffets because the a la cartes are just 100% worth it!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Amazing vacation at Melia Nassau.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely four day getaway to this resort. We loved everything about it. Beach and ocean were amazing. Can’t wait to return to the Bahamas and this resort! The staff were very lovely. The restaurants, food and grounds were amazing. Thanks!!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Very nice resort!

Enjoyable stay, amazing beach, great staff, food and drinks. Yes, there is some renovation work happening, but that did not affect my stay. Just wish night activities and entertainment would go past 12 p.m. - was a bit disappointed by that. Hope to be back soon!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great stay

Enjoyed our vacation at the Melia great resort everything is close and beach is beautiful needs alittle more night entertainment. Staff is very friendly. Resort is very clean and has great food. Mexican restaurant was amazing food buffet also has great variety everyday. Mini fridge in the room is always restocked and rooms are nice. Resort should have activities on the beach to keep people entertained.

Paradisus Cancun: Amazing resort

Hotel was very well kept. Food was amazing. Service was exceptional. I would definately return to this property in cancun and visit other paradisus properties. The beach had a lot of seaweed which was the only downfall

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Great time

Recently went to Melia Tropical Caribe. Had an amazing time. Resort was quiet so was really nice. Pools amazing. Beach had a lot of seaweed that was washed up. Not usual but large amounts. Water was still amazing and warm but you had to step over a lot of the seaweed. Didn’t stop of from using beach though. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Had to move rooms due to AC not working but they helped out with no problem and were very accommodating.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Lovely

The hotel was lovely... the people here are really friendly and provided an excellent tour. You can tell how proud the Bahamian are of their country. The beach was beautiful and there were many activities provided! My family ended up staying at the beach for 4-5 hours. It’s clear and beautiful! I hope to come back and visit.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Wedding party

Overall the resort was amazing. Very beautiful and enjoyable stay. There were a few things though that were not so great. The service in the main dinning locations by the beach were extremely slow service and not very friendly. We would go the whole dinner or lunch without getting our water filled up. Also the variety and selection of food was very averge. We were hoping for something better. Also the service at fuego was terrible. We waiting 30 minutes or more just for a drink and our food too [... read more]k over an hour and they only brought out a couple people's food and others had to wait even longer. Also our transit guide Juan Pablo was not very helpful at all. He overcharged us on 2 excursions and refused to give is a refund and just told us to write a complaint. Very poor service.

Melody Maker Cancun: Not a resort for entertainment

The hotel itself was nice but the problem I have is I see they are in the process of renovations. I asked the agent about this before we booked because we looked online and they said they experienced the same thing and the agent told me there was no indication of renovations. So everyday after 10 we would he loud noises that would wake us with the banging because they put our room right next to we’re the Reno was. You can order room service and pay $5 each time after already paying so much for and all inclusive resort you are expected to pay for that on top of it but the room was amazing clean newly renovated and the pool was nice the beach had a lot of alge though.

Melia Costa Del Sol: Great holiday, you can be as relaxed or as busy as you like!

Great location, every room has terrace with ocean view , great meals, very accommodating staff. It is very close to the airport which is also a bonus. The new rooftop pool is lovely and the ocean is across the street.

Paradisus Cancun: The Grand old Lady

The hotel is pretty amazing. It is everything it is supposed to be. The staff were very attentive to the details of maintaining the property and making sure the guests were very well taken care of. It is a beautiful property facing the ocean on the back side. The weather while we were there was 2 days of severe rain and 2 days of light rain. On the days with the severe rain, the hotel showed its age, in that it needs a little TLC. There was rain coming in through the glass partitions, and  [... read more]in some areas the roof, but the rain was severe so this was to be expected.,and even into our room. Overall a great hotel, amazing staff, just needs some TLC to polish up the details. Because we were there in the rainy season, there was a great deal of seaweed on the beach which was removed every couple of days.

Melody Maker Cancun: Pretentious, Off putting, Non-Customer Centric

Stayed the week of June 03 to 10, 2018 Upon arrival I was greeted and offered a beverage, that was very refreashing. I was assisted with my luggage to my room. The bellman helped me set-up my safe. Later that day I changed my safe number, and needed a new safe card to do so. Desk clerk at the time was very helpful (looks like "B. J." Novak and the other clerk who is also helpful looks like Captain Morgan). Went to supper at 6:30pm, and the server seemed irritated by my lack of spanish or, tab [... read more]le utensil Etiquette. I could careless of either, as my day was very long (had a flat tire on the way to the airport the day before, and it's been 3 years since my last vacation). First day on the beach, the seaweed was the worst they have seen in 20 years, I was informed, and did not improve during my stay. The staff at breakfast were a ray of sunshine through out the week, and I have only positive vibes to give here. If you are setting up on the beach, go for the middle, as they are IN construction. They do offer a beach menu on some days, and a buffet on others that you need to make your way to the upper pool level section near entry/exit of resort. They do change where you can go for Supper throughout the week, to give you a variety. You need to book your reservations for the Teriaki Restaurant. Now on to the garbage. I had been Sunbathing topless 4 days into my vacation when I was approached by resort concierge " hey lady, hey lady. This isn't the kind of resort". Now that is fine, till I go to the pool on the same day, late afternoon, and have a lady masturbated a man inside the pool. Security and concierge didn't want to get wet, so most of the other guests including myself saw the O face. The man was eventually assisted out of the pool, while lady stayed and moved onto the next unsuspecting pray. On the same day, late evening, I went to the front desk to ask where I can topless sunbathe on the beach, keeping to myself like I have for the last four days (I put my top on when leaving my set-up to go bathroom, walk the beach etc., and like an even tan. Has nothing to do with sex, and if your in a relationship where your man looks, and he knows that shit upsets You, I can guaranteed You had problems well before going on your vacation), and an older man in his mid forteys to early fifties was very off putting, could not look me in the eyes, and automatically assumed I wanted to go to the strippers/peelers. When I clarified this was not the case, he waved me off after circling resorts on a map for topless sunbathing. I was picking up this judgmental old Spanish Inquisition Catholic vibe from him. He has no business being in a position dealing with customers, as a frontdesk clerk, with this way of thinking, especially dealing with customers from all over the globe. I had to deal with him two other times afterward, and still dealing with the same arrogant garbage. Its a perspective that has so many dysfunctional ties. It infuriates me that this perspective is still going strong, especially when the country itself, is in a third world state. How about clean your backyard up first, cause your garbage stinks. So second last day of vacation, same pool, overheard a couple getting pissy with each other. The man was like " I am perfect just the way I am". I thought it was funny at first. Then he honked his nose and swirled it into the water, and snott floats drifting all around me. I showered off both days and came to the conclusion. "THE POOL IS DIRTY". No amount of models, hookas, and pretending to have lots of money will change this. Now the service at the beach is great till Saturday after 12pm, in terms of food and drinks to your beach set-up. They hire models in the newest fullbody bathing suits in high heels, that dance to the latest music being played. You cannot go near them from what I was told by other guests in the pool, and security guards them like the holy grail. You will need to pay 35000 pesos to sit by the pool ,and pay extra pesos to have a Hookah at your set-up by the pool. Its the same spot that you have set-up for free at all week, oh and lung cancer free too. This is literaly right out of a MTV music video, some sort of fantasy being fulfilled here. FYI! those who have money, keep their money, by not spending it on this kind of garbage. Another thing, if your single, they seem to have a problem with this. I was constantly asked if I was alone, then given a look like I have no business being alone, by some staff. Not here to give you an origin storey, and its non of your dame business. I was their for my 35th birthday, I had requested to have a cake made for this day through tripcentral. This was not honoured, and my birthday week was not made special. Also, they have construction going on both sides of the building, beach facing. That's right, you get to listen to a Jack Hammer run most of the day on both sides of the beach, with a side order of music in the middle thumping most of the day. So don't bother going, if you want to come down from your busy life. For what I paid, this is by far a 2 star resort. And I would be very concerned when they do get up and running, to full capacity, that the reception and service dont become non-existent. Oh and management, save your sorrys, apologies, as you have intentionally set this resort up for people ready to spend money, even when you have an all-inclusive package. So what are you going to do about it? for the next arriving guests?

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Great Resort

We loved this resort. It came recommended from family and we were happy with our decision. It was great that they provided a baby crib. The only thing that I wish was different was the seaweed situation, however I think it was the time of year. I'd go back, and upgrade to the reserve

The Level at Melia Caribe: Meets the expectations

As a returning guest I was pleased with almost everything...One wired thing happened again though ! I wanted to get in the steam room but I was told by the "manager" that it was out of order and a "piece", probably a part was at the shop in order to be fixed...Funny thing that was the same answer I was given when I tried 2 years ago ! It looks that if you don't book a massage, they wont let you in!!!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Horrible service

This hotel was disgusting. The service was as trash. Food was disgusting. Not worth a penny. The only good thing was the beach the rest of the place was disgusting. We left the hotel hungry tired and annoyed

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Fabulous!

Excellent Resort. The rooms are beautiful. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The water pressure is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Gardens are well manicured. We would go back. Variety and taste of food is great. Entertainment is good. No misquitous and flies to bother us at any time.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: A lovely stay! With just a few sore points...

OVERALL: We had a wonderful stay at the Melia. There are an abundance of positives, however there were a number of items we found frustrating, that given the star rating of the hotel we weren't really expecting. Read below! POSITIVES: - Amazing BEACH. Cable beach is beautiful, well-groomed, easily walked, soft-white sand. The beach also has lots of snorkelling within the swim area. - Great EQUIPMENT, chairs & such for use from the resort (e.g. snorkel gear, floats, etc). All right on t [... read more]he beach, along with a volleyball court and bocci ball. - Excellent RESTAURANTS/FOOD. This was definitely our favourite highlight. It is very clear that all the restaurants have been renovated and offer a variety of cuisines. We highly enjoyed every one. The Marketplace (buffet for all meals) also has a wide selection of foods (however, it is mostly the same each day for each meal). - Main facilities - LOBBY area (incl. restaurants) and pool areas were nice. - ACTIVITIES - Seems as though the resort had a good variety of activities for all ages and different themes each day. We didn't get to take advantage of as many as we would have liked (with having an infant with us), but the shows & bands we did catch were good. - RENO CREW - Although there were people there working on exterior renovations everyday, I did not find their work to be disruptive or intrusive in anyway. GOOD & BAD: STAFF - While some of our service was very friendly (restaurant staff, cleaning and some specific staff we would see often), we generally found many of the staff to be discontent. Smiles were sometimes few and far between and some just seemed downright frustrated to be talking to you at all. NEGATIVES: - CHECK-IN was extremely slow and over complicated. We understood it was a Saturday arrival, and therefore busy, but we waited almost 45mins just to get our bands and a map, and then had to come back later to wait another 30mins to get our keys. Not really sure what the hold-up was or how it could be made more efficient? - Attention to DETAILS - We had confirmed a crib three times, including at the first stage of check-in. Unfortunately there was no crib once we got in our room and it took several hours before one was delivered. - ELECTRICAL issues (not sure how much is related to ongoing renovations). Our breaker that controlled our television & fridge went out everyday at least once, and on average took at least an hour to be flipped back on. We had nothing plugged in on that wall. This also would not have usually bothered us, but because we were travelling with our young daughter, we were often back in the room for her naps. - Spotty WI-FI. Again, I usually wouldn't have cared, but they didn't have general computers to use either, and I had a job-related e-mail I was expecting. So either stronger wi-fi or computers to use would have been nice. Also, not sure if it was related, but the reservation system for the restaurants was down almost everyday and we always had to go back. - CARPET in rooms. The rooms are definitely not updated to the standard of other parts of the hotels. And I can confirm, as many other reviews have, that the carpet in the rooms and halls are damp and kind of icky feeling. - Several of the hotel RULES. *Reserving Chairs/CABANAS - This rule often left tons of useful shaded space on the beach empty. We understood the premise of the rule to allow people to go grab food or drinks, but overall we found it frustrating. *SMOKING - The hot tub rules stated no smoking, but the pool & beach areas did not. Including the family pool areas. Several times we felt forces to move because other guests lit up directly beside our child. We were also not the only guests we noticed moving with their children from cigars and cigarettes being smoked. While we understood these were public places, we would have greatly appreciated there being better designated areas (not only because of kids, but also just for those who also do not smoke). - SEPTIC TANK Cleaning - This one was a surprise! Middle of the day (11am), directly beside the family pool and one of the hot tubs, a truck arrived and began emptying the septic for one of the bathrooms. Absolutely a necessary thing to do...but not at this time and for the length of time it took (over 25mins). Ourselves, plus at least 2/3 of the other guests in the area were forced to move due to the overwhelming smell. It was quite revolting and ultimately this pushed the hotel from a 4-star to a 3-star for us. - Shortage of MINT - This one is small, but was slightly irritating none the less. Almost everyday they would run out of mint (maybe there is a shortage everywhere?) I just wanted to enjoy a virgin mojito and frequently there was none to be had. Again, small stuff, but maybe worth a mention! I hope people find this review somewhat helpful. As a whole, I would still recommend the Melia and my husband and I both agree that as their renovations continue some what we didn't appreciate will probably improve! There are definitely some sticky points here and there though that could be fixed immediately and you may want to consider before booking for the price point of the hotel.
