Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Ok for budget with kids.

Nice resort for 3 - 3.5 rating, but no way 4 - 4.5. I've stayed in Cuba twice before and this place did not measure up to the listed star value of 4.5 but we still had a good time since the staff was very friendly as always in Cuba. The food...well it's Cuba, but no one goes hungry or thirsty with 24 hr service. The rooms had issues and the beds are hard as rocks. On the up side, this place is great for kids of all ages. Since we traveled with our grown kids and 10 grand kids in tote, budget and child entertainment and safety were very important to us and all of us had a great time. Remember that your time is what you make it, so focus on the positive - budget friendly, happy, healthy, safe vacation. That is why we will return to Cuba.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: cannot imagine any place better!

Honestly amazing. Travelling as a couple several time to Cuba, first time in Cayo Coco. Pestana has th nicest beach in the area. The foo WA incredible...best of ever had...Portuguese influence was obviously a factor. Hotel is new so all rooms, buildings, restaurants, and pools were beautiful. What more can anyone ask for?

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Amazing and beautiful resort!

Resort was absolutely beautiful. Beaches are amazing. Staff is outstanding! The staff made us feel like family. A very safe environment. Nice quiet and clean resort. I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family. I plan to visit again in February!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Just ok

Overall I had a good time because of the big group I went with and it's the Caribbean. Beach was great, water beautiful, great BBQ lunches, buffet not bad, service friendly but not really attentive mostly. As far as rooms are concerned, most simple, cheaply finished and falling apart, hot water pressure very low, shower heads held by drywall screw barely hanging on. Bed mattresses very cheap coil ones. Room service won't refill your beer unless you ask in spite of being diamond club. No real bra [... read more]nd pop (cola or sprite). Scooters all out of service at 3 places. Pay excursions by credit card. Hotel xchange rate is some 10% higher if exchanging cash. In Cuba they don't seem to know about quality or customer service so you have to just enjoy the weather and beautiful beach and ocean. II didn't really feel like diamond club but I don't want to think what it would be like not being. Better alcohol choice, beach service and more access. Don't waste time on a la card. Big waste of time, Food not better than buffet and less choice. Service is worse than buffet. Don't do wedding there!! You could do much better by yourself. They have no means at all. Don't set yourself up for disappointment. Overall if you just care about beach, weather, quiet, food, cheap and not care about room, it's OK. You can have a good time if you want to.

Hotel Playa Coco: Great resort!!

We had a great week!! Thanks to amazing staff !! The food was great the rooms were very nice and clean! Needs a little more entertainment at night, not too much going on! Our favourite restaurant was the Japanese the food was delicious and the cook was great !!

Melia Cayo Coco: Excellent

Beautiful resort very clean good service very good food entertainment was greatI would recommend to anyone the people are very pleasant and polite we had a lot of fun there and would probably go back again

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great vacation

The pool was beautiful. The food was good. The staff were very helpful. We met lots of great people. I was not very happy with the Hola Sun rep. He was not very helpful when I needed help. Everything else was perfect.

great location only 15 min drive from airport. staff is great. food better than most hotel in cuba. rooms very clean. only downfall is the beach.for cuba the price of this was great for what you get. go with diamond package well worth the extra money

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Definetly unforgetable, but not in a good way.

Our whole family travelled together for my daughters wedding. Some of the rooms doors would not lock, air conditioning broke, safes not working , leaking taps and air conditioners, cockroaches in almost everyones rooms..same food everyday in every venue....every meal. Staff are fantastic, and its was very clean and beautiful.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Not bad. But we won't be back!!

The pools were nice. People were great. Our girls had fun. The food is the worst we ever had. By day three our kids were crying they didn't want to eat there. Same food everyday. The restaurants are terrible. Don't waste your time!! The bedrooms are disgusting. Twin beds. Not doubles or kings. Cockroaches in every room!! We went with 65 people and everyone had them. Shows were ok. Beach is nice. The kids had fun and that was what was important. I do not recommend this resort

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Average hotel even per Cuban standards

I spent two weeks at Memories Caribe Beach Resort from October 14-28, 2015. Now some good stuff: 1) Amazing beach and plenty of loungers to choose from; 2) Good maintenance of the resort grounds; 3) Good food (though becomes a bit repetitive after awhile but I was still able to choose something I really enjoyed); 4) Plenty of day time activities. Something to improve on: 1) Service. Despite tips, at times I felt it was nonexistent, especially at the 24-hour bar. Or coffee served without spoo [... read more]n, sugar and saucer at the buffet. Or no salt and pepper on tables making guests hunting for ones (again at the buffet). Or serving drinks, including coffee in plastic glasses after 9 a.m. or so that actually took away from enjoying your drinks; 2) Room service. Bad. No restocking shampoo and soap. No cleaning floors. A cochroach and a mouse comfortably living in the room; 3) Lack of night entertainment. Nothing to do after 9 o'clock show but drink. No disco on the resort. Guests who wish to go and dance are required to pay 10 CUC and take a bus ride to a near by hotel Melia. 4) Hotel definitely needs some upgrades. PS: Caution for those who may be allergic to jellyfish. I am not sure if it is seasonal but there were plenty of not very happy jellyfish that stung me every time I went into the ocean. I must say that those stings were burning badly and sometimes were quite painful.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: A good resort

The resort was very clean but does need some update the people that worked there were very nice and would do all they could to help you. The room we had was cleaned every day but my wife would have liked the sheets changed every other day but they were only changed 3 times in 14 days. The maid who we had cleaned the room every day and she did a good job l will say. Just that l forgotten her name .The staff at the all you can eat were the best off all .the food was not bad but there was food for everyone if you were a fussy eater. They need to learn how to cook beef thou. And l do miss my bacon .We did have it 2 times in 14 days thou. The pool was very clean and well taken care of and the pool bar was very good with your drinks And the one bar was the best Pina Coladas l had .They also make a type of donut there that were to good .You should taste them if you get a change. The beach was the best that l have been to in cuba and the water was so clear and shallow and warm but watch out for jelly fish they are small but hurt when you get stung. We were there for 14 day and about 4-5 people a day got stung . The biggest complaint that l have is the the second week we stayed there people from Quebec came there and the service for english people seemed to get bad alot of the staff seemed to prefer them over english speaking..We would be line wait to be served and the french people would butt in and get served and if we said some thing they the server would say they don't understand us. Don't get me wrong there were some good french people from Quebec who were very nice but more bad . I would go back but now l know what to expect and l wouldn't go out of my way to tip as much .Its a shame for the staff we had and liked did a great job.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: amazing beach

Great place to relax at the beach, snorkeling, and just get some sun. If your up to a little more excitement, the pools are the place to be. Night time has the entertainment for all. The food isnt the greatest, but actually not bad. Better than we heard it would be. Very feeindly staff and the rooms were kept clean daily. Definitely a trip worth the price.

I was terrified about going to Cuba based on what I heard and read. I am so glad I went and I would definitely go back to this resort. The food was excellent. I brought condiments but did not need them. The entertainment was amazing. The dancers are professionals. Shows amazing. There are coral free parts so I didn't need special shoes and the water was clear with fishes everywhere. The rooms could use a few repairs and the water pressure was low between 5 and 7. But it was clean. Staff work very hard. If there is something you don't like. Let front desk know and they will fix it. Absolutely worth it.

This resort was so beautiful! Very clean and all the staff were amazing! The Lady manager was awesome and very friendly! Also very helpful and pleasant with the staff and the tourist there!!I'm going back and telling all my friends too!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A little better than average

On the positive side - Beautiful grounds, a great selection of food choices, amazing staff. On the negative side - we were originally in building 5, but after getting lost frequently, we were moved to building 1. Much better, as it is much closer to all of the action (a little noisy at night, but only until 11:00). Big big complaint MOSQUITOS. We used insect repellent, but I think they liked it. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: mosquito city

Hotel and grounds were very good beach was poor not enough sand very rocky. Come dusk and early morning you almost had to wear mosquito netting the bugs were so bad. Excellent setting for nature lovers

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Loved all the staff at the resort.

Spent a week here and it was quite enjoyable. Weather was hot no rain beach was lovely. Only problem was mosquitos. Even the food was quite nice .Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Was worried about the hard mattress but slept soundly every nite. Ocean view was gorgeous in the morning .Go and enjoy.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Best Time Ever

We have traveled to Cuba on eight other occasions. Each time we say that it was the best yet, but this time we really mean it. We loved the colonial architecture, the excellent food and the beach. But the people working there really are the best.We had such good service. The resort was only partially open due to it being the off season. This worked well for us as there were no lineups. Rooms and grounds well maintained. Food above average for Cuba, if fact very good for anywhere. Only issue was coral going into the ocean. Resort staff very friendly and eager to help. Entertainment group is very good.
