Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Second visit and better than the first

Fast and friendly service. Great food. Relaxation. Jungle smells and sounds and wildlife. Peace. Easy transport throughout the complex. Great entertainment. This was our second trip and we will return again.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort

This resort was great. Pro's Rooms were big and very clean Main pool was massive and family friendly Kids really enjoyed the Children's area which had many slides Buffet was good with various options for breakfast lunch and dinner We ate at the seafood and italian a la cartes and enjoyed both Entertainment was good shows for the kids were okay adult entertainment was better Con's Not beachfront:( This is something I would want however It was a family trip and not my choice Resort is way too big [... read more], lot's of walking

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing time!

Great hotel and staff. Food was excellent and would recommend Japanese, Italian, and Garden grill. Beautiful beaches and pools. Enjoyed my stay in Punta Cana. I would definitely recommend this hotel to both families and couples!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: beautiful resort

We stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Coba, mayan riveria May 2016. This was my first time in Mexico and I will go again. The buffet and the al acarte great. The rooms very well kept and the staff was always cleaning.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wow wow wow!!!!

Resort was amazing!!! Staff were great and friendly, and the food was great. Would have been better if there weren't people on every corner trying to get you to attend their presentation to join the privileges club

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful Resort...

First off, let me start by saying that the staff at the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica are some of the most welcoming, friendly, amazing people in Jamaica! Special recognition goes to Diana Lewis Orene (front desk) and the bartenders , our Housekeeper, for making us feel very welcome, always stopping to have a conversation and see how we were doing (and remembering our names - nice touch!) - and Sheniqua the waitress on the privilege bar she was fantastic. We were located in the 23712 .. All I can say what a beautiful view.. OMG .. breathtaking … . Great location – The grounds and facility is spotless… The le crates where good as well nice mixture…Even though the resort is big , it was beautiful lots to walk around and see. The beach on that side was amazing, plenty of shade, great sand and clear water, which is only about 5ft deep for a good 60-80m out, thanks to a rock wall out in the distance to break the surf up. The bars were easily accessible, and there were plenty of sun loungers available on the beach. I have to say the workers are very hard working employees. I hope the management recognizes just how hard they work because without them our stay would have been as enjoyable.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Huge resort!

We just got back from this resort yesterday. It's not our first time to Rivera maya. We stayed at the royalton last year which was a wonderful resort and it's only 15 mins away from the airport :) we absolutely loved our stay at the royalton. We were gonna go back this year but we have a four month old and there was a few cases of hand foot and moth disease going around so we had to choose a different resort so we were recommended luxury Bahia principe Akumal. This is a beautiful resort. The roo [... read more]ms are really big and nicely kept. It's a massive resort. U literally have to take a shuttle bus everywhere. There's two other resorts that are contacted with the Akumal resort. We didn't really explore the other resorts as we had a little one travelling with us. So I can't really say anything about them. I know the Cabo resort had a kids pool section. We checked it out quickly. It was nice. Lots to do for the kids but just not our little one yet. I know tulum the other resort had one shopping huts. Which was nice if ur looking for some keep sakes. The bus ride from the airport to the resort was an hour and a half. So it was a little bit always but not too bad. I like to look out the window so the time went by fairly quickly. When we got to the resort check in was a long process. It took us awhile to check in. Than when we finally were checked in we had to take a shuttle bus to our room without our luggage. They said they would bring our luggage to our room in a few mins. We got to our room n waited for our luggage to come. It was taking awhile. Our little one was hungry and needed a bum change n nap time. We had to call the front desk a few times to get our luggage to us. That was a disappointment. But not a big deal. We finally received our luggage. Our room was really nice n we were able to get a play pen for our daughter to sleep in ;) We had a stroller with us for our daughter and the villa that we stayed in which was by the ocean was not wheel chair or stroller friendly. There wasn't a ramp for us to go up n down we had to keep picking up the stroller to get in n out of our villa. Which was annoying but yet again not a big deal. I'm assuming they would have wheel chair assessable rooms. But I'm not sure. I also found that the resort isn't really wheel chair or stroller friendly. Some specialty resorts did not have ramps to get in. We went to the Italian and French restaurant. The Italian restaurant did not have a ramp and there was a lots stairs that we had to take the stroller up. The Italian restaurant is connected to the seafood restaurant which does have a ramp just not sure if u can get to the Italian restaurant thro the seafood restaurant. Also the French restaurant which also had alota steps did not have a ramp. But we did discover that u can go thro the buffet to the main lobby to use a ramp. What I'm trying to say is if u have a stroller or wheel chair u literally have to take the long way around to get anywhere. For us it wasn't a big deal just more annoying. The food at the French restaurant was really good. The Italian one was okay. And we went to the seafood restaurant which was good. The French restaurant was so good we went back twice lol.... There are 16 specialty restaurants within the three resorts. We liked the beach. It wasn't ur typical beach but we liked how there was no seaweed n that there wasn't waves. They had a section blocked off. It was perfect for our little one but the water didn't get really deep so if u like the typical ocean swimming than this beach isn't for u. Everything bout our stay was good. The room service throughout our stay was good. When we needed water they always brought it to our room. The drinks where also good. The nightly entertainment was good. You had ur choices of wat u would like to watch between the three resorts. The Michael Jackson was our favourite show to watch along with the opra show. The maids would do a good job cleaning our room. We would always leave a tip for them. On our last day two of my daughters drinking bottles dissappeared. Not sure if they got thrown out (don't know how u would mistaken a bottle from garbage ) or they got taken. We even tipped the maid 5 bucks that day since it was our last day. We were greatly disappointed as we had a whole day of travelling the next day. And we were gonna run outta formula for my daughter. We did report the incident but there was nothing they could do. They couldn't even replace our bottles since they didn't have any on the resort. So on our way home we had to buy water to wash our daughters bottles at the airport in the bathroom. I was not happy bout that. We always travel to luxury resorts n this is the first time anything like this has happened. Therefore we will not be returning to this resort instead we will travel back to the royalton . Although it was a nice stay the last day kinda ruined it.

Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Rooms were good. Lots of options for food which was nice - can always find something you like. Pools and beach were beautiful! Staff was friendly and hard working. Overall a great week!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing vacation!)

Beautiful grounds, excellent food, great service, wouldn't change a thing. So many choices when it came to restaurants and loved how you have access to all the other resorts as well! Loved the waterpark, shows were really good, couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Would love to back soon!) we stayed in Akumel and we loved it!)

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beatiful grounds and beaches

Hotel was beautiful , beaches are the nicest we've seen. Service at bars and checkout was lacking. Housekeeping was great. Not overly friendly like Dominican. Often ran out of drinks or just didn't want to make them if they required work ie blender. Really hard to get basic things like coffee. I would go back to Jamaica but not this resort

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Immaculate resort, friendly staff

Beautiful unique resort with nice separate beach and pool areas. Great views and entertainment staff were nice. Very quiet in spots for private relaxing. Food was outstanding especially on gala night and maids putting rose petals on the bed was a nice touch

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: My little piece of heaven

I have vacationed in Punta Cana 11 times, but I found my little piece of heaven at the Ambar resort where I stayed in 2013, 2014 and 2016. The Ambar was my husband's favorite resort because of the lush tropical landscaping, the pristine rooms, the beautiful beach and the wonderful staff. It only made sense that my first solo trip following the death of my husband on August 1, 2015 would be to the Ambar where I feel safe and comfortable. It felt like I had come "home". The grounds were impeccabl [... read more]y maintained with lush foliage. The walkways were well-lit and cleaned everyday. I always felt safe, even when walking in the dark at night. My room was large and inviting and I enjoyed the whirlpool bathtub during my stay. I appreciated the little box of chocolates left on the bed every night. Most of all, I was happy to see my Dominican "family". My plan had been to spend a very quiet week (May 6-13, 2016) reading and doing yoga, pilates, tai chi and water aerobics. (Many thanks to José who taught these classes in 2013, 2014 and 2016.) Well, so much for my plans.... The entertainment in the Ambar lobby was extremely good. While I was certain that I would never dance again, three new friends that I met in Punta Cana (Donna R, Donna M and Vincente) as well as a member of the animation team (Carlos) got me onto the dance floor where I learned to move and smile again. Given the abundance of excellent food and premium drinks on the resort, it was a good thing that the music called to me and helped me burn off a few calories!! I cannot thank the management team enough for ensuring that I had a room at Ambar 1 where I had stayed with my husband in 2013 and 2014 and where I was familiar with the layout and the staff. I owe a debt of gratitude to the musicians, animation team and to my new friends who helped me stand on my feet again and to see joy in living and dancing. I am looking forward to returning to the Ambar in 2017..... Did I mention that I love this resort?!!!! Cathy

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nearly Perfect

Very happy food wise, amenities, exquisite property. 3 cons: never any beach towels available, lots of empty cups on the side of the pool and encountered a lot of grumpy staff members. Overall though, really happy and would definitely return! Love the Bahia chain!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Very good resort...lots of fun and relaxing!!!

We stayed 5 nights at Tulum. We stayed at the Coba before but wanted to stay closer to the beach. We arrived at the airport at 12 and didn't arrive at the hotel until 3:00 and check in and trying to make dinner reservations took an hour, which we couldn't get any at all. Had to eat at the buffet every night..it was good, but disappointed being our second time here as well, we couldn't eat at an a la carte. By the time we found a snack bar, it was 4:30, hinry after not eating since 8am!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Simply Awesome!

Stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal from May 5th to May 12th. We had a fabulous time. From arrival to departure, this resort exceeded our expectations. The grounds, restaurants, bathrooms and rooms are CLEAN. The food is very good, and there is a nice variety in the buffets. As for the a la cartes, WOW - Try the Japanese, and the Italian. I also heard the French as wonderful, but did not try it myself. As a side note, this place is BIG, not that it's a problem, but there is just so much t [... read more]o do. Read your program guide, download the app to book your a la cartes. This might help you not miss out on things. We were still discovering stuff on day 5 - LOL. Book with confidence and enjoy.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Adult/Family Resort

Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda Resort is great. As part of the bahia compund there are about 5 resorts ( 2 luxury and 3 grand) plus 1 more that is under construction. Having access to all resorts is amazing. They have activities for adults and children all day. While we were they rumors is that they will be converting the Esmeralda to an exclusive all adults resort by Nov 2016. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Would Return!!

The resort was well maintained, clean, friendly, hard working staff. Food was overall an 8 out of 10. The beach was beautiful to walk along even with all the crowds. Very busy resort! I could complain about a couple of small items, but they didn't ruin my vacation in any way. My friend and I met a great group of people on the catamaran excursion to Saoma Island and believe we have made some life long friends.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing Vacation! 5* experience for sure!

We had an amazing time at the Grand Bahia Principe Coba. The staff was very friendly, the grounds/rooms were very clean and well kept, daily/nightly entertainment was always available (and the resort was only about a 30 min drive to playa del carmen and other popular excursions) with a good variety and the food was incredible with a lot of variety as well (at the buffet and at the a la carte's- especially at the Mediterráneo, our favourite). We weren't too concerned, but we did find it a bit ri [... read more]diculous that it cost extra money for the safe. I have been to many resorts and have never had to pay extra for a safe. The pool was great and lots of activities during the day, however we really enjoy going to the beach but found there were a lot of sharp rocks in the water at the beach. Luckily we found a small area with fewer rocks. Other than that, everything was wonderful and the resort was beautiful. We had an unforgettable experience and would not hesitate to return to the Grand Bahia Principe Coba :)

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful well kept grounds and beach

Lovely resort, very good food, friendly service. The beach was white sand and clear bottom. Only caution-confirm your beds per room preferences in advance to avoid checkin delays. Watch your luggage gets all bus connections-it's a popular and busy place!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fabulous Resort

This hotel is beautiful! The staff worked around the clock. Always polite and smiling! The bathrooms were always very clean as well. The rooms were large, food was amazing, lots and lots of variety. Beach was gorgeous! Trolleys were going all day and night. You never had to wait! Lots to do at this resort. And the SPA was spectacular! My only recommendation of change would be the a la carte restaurants. I'd like my entire meal be served to me rather than the appetizer buffet. It would have been  [... read more]a nice change.
