Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful resort

a well groomed property perched on the perfect ocean beach. White sand, aquamarine blue water that was crystal clear. Water temperature was perfect! Lots of wonderful meals and staff could not do enough to make our stay the best.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Unforgettable

The hotel was great! Great food, amazing beach, and very clean ground. The hotel could have had better service in terms of room service and considering there is non drinking water from the bathroom they kept our fridge full of bottled water.

Excellence El Carmen: Great week and great resort!

We spent a week over Christmas at this wonderful resort. Having vacationed at the Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico, our expectations were pretty high (we loved the Mexico property). El Carmen didn't disappoint. From the moment you arrive your pampering begins in this extremely clean and well maintained oasis. We stayed in a two storey roof-top room that has it's own private plunge pool. The upper deck as an outdoor shower, which is one thing done better in Mexico. The outdoor shower in Punta C [... read more]ana isn't private and you are on high display for all to see, unlike Mexico, where it is private. That, however, is pretty much where my criticism ends. Everything else - the food, the restaurants, beverage, and overall property, were nothing short of spectacular. One of the most outstanding qualities of this resort is the staff. From Galvan and Alvin at the martini bar, to Mildred and Carmen at the Excellence Club private beach area, and everyone in between, were happy and helpful and certainly elevated our experience. Very special recognition goes to Esperanza, the head concierge and Jose, the food and beverage manager, who both went above and beyond to ensure our every need was attended to. My wife is vegan, and sometimes food choice can be difficult at an all inclusive. However, a simple email to give advanced notice as to where we would dine, eliminated any concern about what would be available, and lead to a wonderful and relaxing dining experience every night. We chose the Excellence Club, which although there aren't as many perks as we found in Mexico, we still feel it is worth it. We stayed in building 7 and it had a wonderful view of the Ocean.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Another Great Vacation!

Third time at Bahia Principe, first time at Fantasia. Once again, had a great vacation!! The service, accommodations, beach, entertainment and food was excellent. Fantasia is a great place for a family as well as for the grown ups. We spent mornings at beach and Punta Cana Pool/Bar, afternoon at the Fantasia water slides and finished the days at the Fantasia pools. People working at the resort very friendly. Resort is stunning. Riu Republica: Amazing resort!!

First off we have to thank Diane and Paul for the amazing service we received from Trip Central. They are a first class travel agency. Now on to the Riu Republica. First thought is amazing. This was our seventh Christmas vacation and was definitely our favourite resort. The rooms, food, beaches and staff were all fabulous. The only issue throughout our stay was with the shuttle to the beach. We were told it ran between the hours of 9-5 everyday but we only saw a total of 3 times. Riu Republica: Lovely resort

I have nothing negative to say; the resort was beautiful, very clean, staff friendly & excellent variety of restaurants / food selection. The beach beautiful white sand & clear turquoise/blue ocean; who can ask for anything more!!!

Occidental Caribe: Fun Christmas vacay

We had a nice Christmas vacation at Occidental Carribe our room was clean view was beautiful staff was helpful - some language barriers with some staff and others were most friendly and helpful - issue with our safe one day but was fixed within an hour the beach was fun and you can walk forever the pools are clean water aerobics was fun the food was great with tons of choices lots of restaurants and many open air bars Christmas eve gala dinner was our favorite and Louis made it great daily Ramon [... read more] and Richard greeted us and did a great job The excursions were a blast and not far from the hotel and the drive from airport to hotel was not far either We would recommend for sure

Riu Palace Punta Cana: OK resort, nothing special

The hotel is clean, friendly, however we don’t think is a 5 star hotel. Second time to Riu (previously went to Riu Palace Los Cabo), but we will never go to any Riu chain again. I would rate this a 4 star hotel. Other than most of the staff don’t speak English, we found there is only a few drinks and food to choose from. He will be your best friend and he will make you stay memorable, he will do the best to feel you home. Also, many thanks for the bartenders working around the pool and theatre area! They are working really hard to serve you a drink! Maybe because of the management pushing them too hard, but it is amazing to see them running around. They will serve you in no time! It is not the bartenders fault, not to serve you a nice brandy or cognac, or a good drink after dinner. Riu just doesn’t have it. We been places in Mexico and Cuba, and we always had premium drinks, even in 4 or 4.5 star hotels. Unless you are whiskey lover, and all you care is to get hammered, don’t go to Riu. It is a 4 star nothing special resort! Again, thanks to Sandy at main buffet!

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Relaxing and quiet Time

We stayed in the Royal adults only section and had a wonderful time. Plenty of places to just lay back, read, swim, drink and eat. Our room was spotless and the staff was always friendly and did their best to communicate in English. We'll be back soon.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort

The resort was super clean. The food was fantastic with lots of options. The pools and the beach were awesome. Room needed a bit of an upgrade but spent little time there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would go back again.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Amazing Experience

Out experience was amazing! All the staff (especially Edwin) were so great! We were a little upset at the sales presentation given to is though and would recommend everyone avoid it. Other than that, we had an spectacular holiday!!

Riu Republica: Amazing resort

Best hotel so far on my list. Amazing and beautiful. Good service and good food. I also enjoyed the evening shows. The evening shows were a little bit different from the ones Im usually see in other hotels.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Beautiful resort, terrible food

The grounds were beautiful and very well kept! The room was very clean, air conditioning was great, some activities happening - a little bored. Quite a few people not from the resort were there trying to sell items, very pushy. The food was unfortunately terrible, we had a very hard time finding food we could trust to eat. Beach also wasn’t the best, very smelly and loud construction happening in the water 24/7 with no notice, even all through the night.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Exceeded expectations

Modern, tastefully decorated suites, exceptional food and service, great night shows, quality beverages, crystal clear pools. Worth spending more to book main floor swim up suite. Private Bali beds were awesome for afternoon naps. Spa is also worth booking. I can't say enough about the service..staff work very hard with smiles on all day. We were there over Christmas and all the added touches and Christmas buffet were simply exceptional. Riu Republica: Not a 5 Star

Overall, it's an updated and vibrant resort. The staff is friendly (especially when you are), the beach is beautiful and clean, and the resort is so big, you never struggle to find a lounge chair on the beach or at the pool. However...if you are arriving late (after the 9pm of most dinner restaurants) be ready to wait in line and heat up a cold burger from a fridge or grab a hot dog that has been on the heater for quite some time...it was not the best first impression. Our room was not very clean when we first arrived and the resort was at full capacity on the first night, we were able to change rooms the next day and the staff was very friendly. The pools were very nice, the slides were great, and the resort is very lively. We came with our family with a range of ages: 28-60+ and we had a great time. There are a lot of 20 year old tourists so the nightlife is quite lively and certain pools are very...entertaining during the day. The food is very good, out of the a la carte restaurants we had two great experiences out of the five we went to. This does not feel like a 5 star resort but it is a solid 4. Would I return? No, there are so many other beautiful resorts to see but this one is not a bad choice.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Best F*ing Vacay Ever

Not only did this resort have exceptional staff that truly cared for your stay there but they had activities going on every day and every night. Let’s just say you don’t really need to go outside the resort to find some fun because this place is a handful

Excellence El Carmen: Excellente at Excellence el Carmen

Beautiful grounds, lovely staff, amazing food. We have no complaints - everything from check in to towel service to even the beach itself - all of it was carefully thought out and delivered with care.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent rooms

Great hotel. I have been there before and went back to enjoy it again. The beach service is excellent, way better than the other areas of the resort. Our family had been staying next door at the Bahia Esmeralda because their kids were too young to stay at Ambar. So during the day we hung out together. We were not allowed to eat at the Esmeralda buffet for lunch (to our surprise) and were told we had to go to Ambar to eat. I am pretty sure Ambar is the top of the resort so my belief is [... read more] that we should be allowed to eat anywhere, but I was wrong, only at the ala cart restaurants. The other disappointment was going to see the shows at night at the "main" resort (I think its called bavaro). We asked for the upgraded booze and were told that even though we were Ambar we had to pay for it or go back to our bar to get it. The Ambar Manager also confirmed that although did take it off our bill. The reason we get the upgraded packages is for the better booze and it never was like this when I went before. So that's fine - time to try another resort...... too bad.

Excellence Punta Cana: Beautiful resort with an amazing staff!

I went to Excellence Punta Cana during December 2018 for 6 days with my boyfriend, both in our mid 20s. It was our first all-inclusive experience, so our expectations were high based on reviews I've read on Trip Advisor. I highly suggest booking through Trip Central as they provide you the full package including support and shuttle service to and from the airport. Upon arrival at the PUJ airport, it took us a bit of time to find our rep since there were a lot of people with names on banners,  [... read more]so make sure you look for your airline rep (i.e. West Jet, Sungwing). They should have your name noted down, and he'll take you to your shuttle bus. We waited for about 10-15 minutes and off we went to stop by a few resorts. EPC was the last stop, so it took about 45 minutes to get to there from the airport. Once we got to EPC hotel, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a debrief on our stay and some hotel policies with a little tour of the resort, and then final stop at our suite. We stayed at the Excellence Club Jr. Suite Swim Up View. Some highlights of the resort: - WiFi across the resort, even in the beach area - Service was amazing; all staff was approachable, friendly, and accommodating - Some good options for food; we enjoyed The Grill and Magna for dinner - Private beach felt exclusive and relaxing - We wanted an hour later check-out, which went smoothly with an Excellence Club perk - Full bottle top shelf liquors was amazing - Room service was fast and easy Some not so great: - Our room AC was terrible, so it made our clothes and sheets damped and humid - Entertainment; the shows felt repetitive after a few nights - Activity options were limited; there was a nice gym, basketball court and tennis court, but the bikes were only available during a certain period of time and the pool activities were also repetitive Overall, an amazing trip and highly recommended for first timers!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Nice resort but need improvement

Food was not that great we were 8 and 4 out of the 8 was sick. Entertaiment was not that great, had problem with or room door did not lock took them awile to come and fix it. Pool was nice, service at the buffet was not good at all inside except for outside was a bit better(first time at a resort that service is not good) food was always cold.
