Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Awesome place 😊😊😊

We stayed on the Adult Only side and were extremely satisfied with the room ...excellent view...the staff were friendly and helpful...the walk to the “Shopping Mall” was a pleasant 10 minute stroll(muchly needed after a great lunch) A great choice of restaurants to choose from for our suppers ( seafood,Italian,steaks,Japanese along with numerous buffets) We will definitely be back💝💝💝

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: What a lovely week!

I have just returned from a wonderful and relaxing week at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana! The grounds were immaculate, perfectly kept and so lush. The winding pool that snakes through the resort is such a refreshing break from the typical square/round pool and helps create a more private experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were a little dated, but still comfortable. Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

The resort grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, food variety is perfect and really well done. The staff are super friendly and always willing to help. They work very hard all around the resort for an enjoyable stay.

BelleVue Dominican Bay: Not recommended as it need major repairs

I would not recommend this resort .. it need major repairs.. front desk staff are very rude and no help with problem.. due that many local residents go to the resort on the weekend we could not find other room.. local residents get better service that visitors

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great beach & food

The grounds, pool, beach, amenities, restaurants, casino, and disco were all really nice. The Golf course was in great condition and very easily accessible. the a la carte restaurants were the best I’ve had in DR. Having said all that, the rooms and balconies were not as advertised. Upon arrival our upgraded junior suite’s floor was soaking wet with hair and dirt pushed around by a mop. Was much tighter quarters than depicted online, even though the location by the beach was nice, I wou [... read more]ld upgrade another step. Room service is an extra charge!? Trying to order drinks to the room, they would limit us to 6x 8oz warm beer cans. Trying to stock up on cold cans in our fridge to avoid draft was impossible, and got hung up on a few times trying, even though we paid for it. Beyond that everyone was friendly and it was a really nice resort.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Nice vacation

At first we were disappointed because we had a small room with two beds and we had specified one king bed. This was rectified two days later with a better room. As for the hotel we considered it a 4star resort rather than a 5 star generally. What we enjoyed was the friendliness of all the staff wanting to render our vacation as perfect as possible. The restaurants and food we excellent The poor side is the lack of chairs at the beach so we always had to get up very early to reserve the chairs.  [... read more]The spa facilities were not open to us unless we took a massage. So the rainy days did not permit un to enjoy the most expensive services. All in all we enjoyed our vacation but will not come back

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Decent but problematic

The food was decent and accommodations adequate. The beach is quite amazing! This is a family resort but things are pretty close, so wherever you were near the pool, there were smokers. A bit off putting. The "animación" team was engaging but they also don't seem to be treated very well by hotel management. Hiding to eat food, begging for 5 star reviews, clearly unhappy - they deserve better.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great customer service

Judy was very helpful in meeting all our needs of having a close golf course, beach, pools and restaurants. The alacarte food was great, we had the Japanese, Mexican and steakhouse. The casino was also great fun. Thank you!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: I would cautiously recommend

We can clearly see that the hotel is being renovated. The grounds are pretty and well kept. ROOMS: The only decent thing about the rooms are the new mattresses. That's where it ends. The AC is very poor. The bathrooms are dark and in need of serious repairs. We had requested an accessible room at time of booking and our agent sent a message a couple days before our arrival regarding the accessible room. When we arrived we were not given an accessible room. The following morning we wen [... read more]t to the front desk and had the letter with us requesting an accessible room. They still said they didn't have any. Excellent planning on their part. We finally did get an accessible room....walk in shower was there, no safety bars anywhere. Having to pick your stuff up off the floor because there wasn't a shelf anywhere is also not considered accessible. FOOD: the buffet is fine. The A la cartes are impossible to book. Yes we can book 3 st a time but nothing was available till 9PM. We did manage to get into the steak house and it was good. BEACH: nice walking beach. A nice heavy currant, we enjoyed that. Just lay there and float. The beach chairs are in absolutely terrible shape. They are all broken in one way or another. POOL: Pools are fine. Seriously lacking chairs and umbrellas. If you're not up early to "reserve" chairs you're out of luck. And really, how much would it cost for a dozen or two umbrellas? The shopping street has a bakery...its the same bakery items you get at the buffet. You can also get ice coffees which were great and "fancy" coffee. Theres an ice cream place and pizza place, again the same as you would get in the buffet. EXCURSION: We did a private excursion with RV Tours. It was the best part of our trip. It was a private trip....just our group of 10. They did an amazing job. It was the Blue Lagoon trip. We truly were the only ones on this massive private beach, at the waterfall, at the blue Lagoon. There was absolutely nothing they could have done to make it better.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Wonderful Resort. Has Everything!

This resort has everything you want or need for an amazing holiday. The food is excellent, especially at the different restaurants. While it is a huge complex containing 7 different themed resorts, it is very efficiently run. Facilities and activities for all your vacation needs are all within the resort, including shopping. Quality entertainment shows every night. The pools are very clean, beach wonderful, although difficult to get seating in the shade at times. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Friendly staff, great maintenance and hot food

Go to the buffet when it opens to get hot food and to get first pick of the food. Throw a towel on the beach chairs to reserve them. Rooms are dated and it’s generally a smaller resort but everything always frequently maintained: staff trimming bushes, testing pool levels, cleaning, refreshing snacks and water. Really impressed! Loved the water filling stations. Lovely deep tissue massage - make sure you emphasize you purchased a deep one to the therapist if you did buy that service just to be [... read more] sure they don’t give you a regular massage.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great resort!!!

Bahia Principe Punta Cana is a great resort, big but their was always a trolly within 5 min to take you places. We will definitely be back, food was great, service was fast. Staff is friendly, the overall resort was very clean. Beautiful beach of course.

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Couldn't ask for anything more!! Absolute paradise!!

This is our second time coming to this resort and must admit that we were surprised it hadn't changed.... what fantastic news for us!! This is a slice out of an idyllic daydream that we all think about on cold winter nights. I have to admit to not wanting to give it a positive review because I don't want many others to know about this gem!! The whole resort from the landscaping, the architecture and especially the staff made us feel so welcomed genuinely happy to greet us.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great Family Resort

The property is beautiful and they have spared no expense in both building and maintaining it. Obviously caters to families and the set up is great for kids, with beach, numerous pools and easy access eating facilities. For parents, golf set up is terrific if you golf and casino is user friendly if you are a gambler. Would not necessarily recommend for adults with no kids, but they have an adjacent adults only resort. They have an army of staff but service is uneven at times.Buffet food was d [... read more]ecent but not great, which seems the norm at these large all inclusive resorts. The a la carte restaurants all have beautiful interiors but quality of food even there was uneven. Overall the four adults and four kids in our entourage had a really nice week.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Amazing resort

This is my 4 times at palm dreams beach we are treated like queens . Thanks again to Dorka and Wilkins and the staff’s . We were treated like VIP ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO. I also love the people that go buy selling great stuff.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Decent vacation

Pros: Beautiful grounds and common areas, plenty of loungers at the beach and pool Cons: The room was in dire need of overhaul, it is dated and dilapidating. Very old noisy AC, hot water was intermittent, non functioning TV for several days. Water leaking from random places in the bathroom. The safe in the room opened and reset itself one day leaving all valuables for display. Nothing was gone but this did cause a fright and distrust. The buffet was redundant but acceptable. Not much luxury  [... read more]here. The restaurants served repurposed buffet food unfortunately. Fun fact: Pangasius fish seemed to have several names at this resort. My wife found this funny, me less so. The beach had quite a bit of seaweed in the sand and water but at tolerable levels.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful Time - Fabulous Staff

The Majestic Colonial Resort was the perfect size for us. We never had to wait in line and it never seemed crowded. The staff from the maids to the bartenders to the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. We couldn't help but notice how much fun the waiters always seemed to be having while working. The grounds and facilities were spotless! The beach was amazing and also spotless. Riu Republica: Amazing vacation!

This was our second time at this resort and we had another amazing trip. Food was great and the beach is amazing Stalin was our waiter most meals and he made our stay fun! Can’t wait to go back again!

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Palladium Bavaro 2020

We've stayed at Palladium in Punta Cana several times, and had been given VIP status (special bracelet) the past 2 years. We did get the VIP bracelets again this year. However, the hotel did not honour a request for first floor rooms. Navigating stairs wasn't easy for my spouse and our companion's spouse. The amenities at the resort were fairly good, although food wasn't always very hot at some of the a la carte restaurants. The staff are generally very friendly, and we've established personal relationships with some of them. One aspect that I don't like is the Travel Club. We are confronted by their agents at all parts of the resort, and they don't like it when we say we are not interested in what they are selling. They often employ trick tactics to get you to talk further with them. We sat through a gruelling 3 hours with them several years ago, and decided that Travel Club wasn't for us.

The resort lived up to reputation lots of different entertainment choices high service with great staff who go beyond to make your stay enjoyable and stress free .The grounds are well maintained as well as the beach areawell maintained Rooms were clean and saw many get fixed before getting used again. .Food was good nothing special. I am not a big fan of night shows but the wife enjoyed .
