Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great value for the Don Pablo upgrade
Great advice from Trip Central advisor! Great hotel, staff and best of all the Jamaican people!! Great food and so happy to have upgraded to the Don Pablo section worth every penny!!! The only next time would be to stay consistent with restaurant dress code.
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very special place, very special sweet people
My sister stayed a week at the Gran Bahai Principe Jamacia. We had very high expectations, based on everything we had seen and read and to our delight we were not disappointed. everything was there fun entertainment, beautiful pools and beaches, Fun activities were coordinated for those wanting it. shopping right on the resort was a surprise and I would not recommend going into the towns to shop. It is very aggressive and competitive and can be overwhelming . The private restaurants were unbelie [... read more]
Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort for kids
Everything was accessible. Loved the small island as the water was shallow enough for our 3 year old to walk out himself. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a variety of local foods. The piña coladas were delicious but I still dream about the Jerk Chicken Hut.
Hedonism II: Oldie but Goodie.
While Hedonism II is not for everyone and perhaps has seen better days, this returning guest still enjoyed a relaxing and interesting time there. The food was good and fresh and staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Entertainment ok and if you can stand a few bad nude bodies the hedonism is of the soft and friendly variety with swingers predominating and the vibe always very Jamaican
Moon Palace Jamaica: Sunset Jamaica Grande
This resort was a great vacation for us! It's a three star but everything was fine! The rooms were old but were always kept clean, the ac worked great and we always had hot water! Pools were great! Beach was okay. Food was good, the a la cartes were very good, but the buffet was small! The resort is in a great location and overall we had a really great week!
Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: In three times keep going back
We now call this place or Jamaican home over the years it has needed a little more upkeep however I can feel comfortable in saying that there are constantly keep people on the grounds painting cleaning planting gardens and replacing furniture is a work in progress since the entire facility is open air so you have to expect that this takes a tremendous amount of maintenance the open-air feeling of the entire property is among some of the most beautiful I've ever seen the natural beach is my favor [... read more]
Couples Swept Away: Amazing resort!
Couples Swept Away is on of the best resorts in Jamaica, second time my wife and I had been there and very pleased both times. Very quiet and relaxing, food is awesome, piano bar in the evening is a must, and seven mile beach during the day is the place to be. Resort is couples only and adults only, just what we look for when taking a trip without the kids.
Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Very relaxing resort
Very we'll kept resort with a great location. Service was second to none. Little older but would recommend it to any one wanting a laid back vacation. Beach is the best I have seen. Pools are a little small and bathrooms are a walk from beach. Food is excellent
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Huge and clean resort
The resort was huge! The pools were clean along with the rest of the resort. Beautiful beach. A la carte restaurants were fantastic.staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back!
Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Decent resort
The property is beautifull. It is very big but well designed that you can get from point A to point B easily. The cons are what make it a 3 stars for us. It is joined to another resort part of the same group which makes it so big that you are just a number. Staff is polite and well trained to be courteous but we definitely felt as if we didn't tip for everything they did for you, then you would often see some long faces and disappointment in their faces. We tip generously but do not like to feel [... read more]
Sunset Beach Resort and Spa: Definitely a family resort
My wife and I spent a week here at the beginning of December and while we enjoyed our stay we would probably only return if we were accompanied by our young grandsons who would have thoroughly enjoyed this resort. We had checked in online before leaving Canada and this made checkin a breeze on arrival. Staff very friendly and helpful and some of the best we've seen. They weren't able to meet our request for a higher floor with king size bed but we were very happy with the corner room (511 Tower [... read more]
Riu Negril: Great beach
The hotel was very clean and staff was wondering. Food was great breakfast, lunch. & supper. Had a wonderful time playing in the sand not so much fun cleaning it off. The rooms were very clean and the maids were very nice.
Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Love this resort....!!!!!!
The grounds are beautifully maintained. The food is excellent. And the staff are awesome! We've been to this resort twice and will definitely go back!! Excellent variety of drinks and Miss Lou's bar has the best desserts!!
Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: boring
This is a resort for older people for sure, my husband and I are 27 and there was only two other couples our age. They don't have much entertainment at night and the Buffett isn't open every night so your stuck with the same gross al la cartes. There ARE dress codes for all the restaurants so if ur casual people like my husband and I , the workers will give u a hard time about what ur wearing, ie. no exposed arms for men, Which is so weird. We got denied going into most al la carte because we on [... read more]
Catalonia Montego Bay: Fantastic cheap getaway
This is not a fancy resort with all the bells and whistles but if you just want to get away and enjoy the beach it's perfect. You have to get up early if you want a prime beach location and dinner reservation. We're early risers so we'd be up by 6:00 and by 7:00 we had the shade area on the island, the first or second in line for dinner (the Italian restaurant is the best- ate there 5 times), and eaten breakfast. Some people say the staff are not friendly, I disagree. They are more reserved but [... read more]
Catalonia Montego Bay: family fun
Great time with young family. Stayed feb/march 2014. Good weather. Nice beach and pool for young kids. Jerk hut was great. Staff were great. Stayed in ocean view room on first floor, very convenient to access everything. Close to airport. Super clean room.
Secrets St James: Great Resort! wonderfully relaxing!
Dream do come true! Spent 10 days of pure relaxation at this resort. Many eating establishments with French cuisine and local favorites. Beach areas were beautiful. Coconut and jerk chicken carts along the boardwalks were scrumptious!
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful Vacation
Traveled to the Gran Bahia Principe in March 2013 for a three night four day vacation. I was traveling for the first time alone so I decided to keep it short. I found the Gran Bahia Principe to be a wonderful time. The staff was friendly resort very well kept, clean, food was good beach was nice. I would recommend this resort and would like to go back and spend a week next time.
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Family Resort
We travelled with a group of 12 last November and had a fantastic time. Rooms were comfortable, everything worked... food was fantastic with no ill effects. People were friendly and the drinks were flowing and cold!! Would definitely come back to this resort when visiting Jamaica
