Barcelo Maya Colonial: Fantastic Resort!

This hotel is very well maintained, and absolutely gorgeous. The pool is immaculate, and the grounds surrounding the pool are very clean. The wait staff are very friendly and kind! Would recommend this hotel!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Great Holiday

Beautifully kept grounds, clean room. Food and service in the buffet restaurants was fair but the a la carte was better. Pools were amazing, loved all the water fountains in the pools and around the entire resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: nice

Grounds were very nice, food 7 out of 10. elacarts needs work but Brazilian was fantastic. Drinks seemed watered down which is a change from last time I was there. Employees friendly. all in all very good.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing resort..

This is our second return to this hotel and we are very pleased with our stay. Food is excellent ,and the service with smiles is constant. we will definitely be back again. the 10 minute travel to the beach is still every 5 minutes and access to the other 3 hotels is great. beach has more algae on it , probably due to weather but still walkable. Bus ride to get to hotel is very long , 1.5 hrs..so I suggest booking a shuttle or private taxi . if you are a red wine drinker, make sure  [... read more]you say NO FRIO (room temp) or they will serve you cold wine.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing resort

Loved everything about the resort. The food, staff, kids activities everything was excellent. The facilities and gardens are well maintained. Pools are clean and plenty. Dont need to reserve anything.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Dream came true

Great experience, beautiful place to be and most amazing staff. I will be back soon. Arrival to the hotel, check in and service by the hotel were very well organized. Different restaurants, varied food choices and quality were all there.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Nice Resort

Nice resort rooms were nice but were little tired and need to be spruced up. We did not go in pools at all we are Beach people however they did not look very inviting water looked green. They should paint the pools blue or white to make the pools more inviting and clean looking. Dining was good buffet was good al la Carts the best were Asian and seafood located on beach. Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Great resort for fun & relaxation.th

This was our 5th vacation to an all inculsive resort in Mexico snd it was by far the best. The people that work there have a smile & Hello for you all the time. Food is very good lots of varieties . My husband is very fussy but never had a hard time finding something to eat. Be sure to try their pizza. Room were beautiful. We had a penthouse so the view was wonderful. Beautiful sunrises every morning. Take a chance on the resort you won't be disappointed.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Excellent resort

The staff was excellent and the food was delicious. The whole resort was very laid back and relaxing. The rooms were very clean. The swimouts were private and very convenient. The activities were entertaining. This resort is a great place to stay with the option of visiting the adjoining resort.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Nice clean family resort with good food

Background: First time to Mexico for family of four from Canada with a 4 year old and a 13 months old. Looking for a family/kids friendly resort to escape the cold and enjoy the sun for 8 days. Check in/out: Reception is very friendly and hand us cold drink the minute we arrive the resort. Although we were told it was low season (Late Nov), we were not able to get a complimentary upgrade to a swim up room or even a higher level room. Overall the check in/out process is fairly easy and no iss [... read more]ue. There is no lineup as well. Resort Location: 20 mins away from the airport. Pickup is a bit crazy as there are lots of vans and buses picking up lots of tourists at the same time. But we made it out fairly quickly. Drive to the resort is smooth and everyone is very friendly during pickup. Other than the resort, there are nothing much around us and we didn’t go out as well. Room: Family Jacuzzi Room. Originally we were given a room on the ground floor and you can walk out to the pool directly but we like more privacy so requested to move to 2nd floor room the next day. The Room is very spacious and clean. I like the double sinks. Lots of storage space if you like to unpack your luggage. Rain Shower may not be the best for everyone but I love it. Quite a lot of TV channels with movies and kids networks (Most of them are in Spanish). Kid slept in the pull out sofa bed. We also requested all kind of baby stuff (Crib, bottle warmer, baby monitor, bottle sterilizer etc) The staff is very good in setting everything up for us. Everything in the room feel fairly new and clean. It is not Vegas standard not definitely good enough for a family resort. Mini Fridge is being re-stocked everyday with drinks and chips Service: Service is GREAT! All of them are very friendly and I don’t feel like they will only do things for you and wait for your tips. Room Service, Cleaning people, Bar, Restaurant, Pool side…. They are always here to make you feel comfortable and relax for your vacation. Wifi: Free Wifi and the Signal is very strong throughout the resort. I don’t seem to find any blind spot no matter I am at the beach or in the room. Pool: We stayed at the kids area and it is not busy at all. You can swim/walk up and down without feeling too crowded. There are empty beach chairs for all of us to use. I saw staff cleaning the swimming pool all the time. Water is a little cold but it is bearable if you go under the Sun. There are many families with smaller kids that will share toys and entertain with your kids. Beach: White sand beach but the water is definitely not blue like Cuba. Lots of seaweed watching up to the beach. They have people cleaning up around the clock but still can’t keep up. The first 4 days we didn’t even go into the Ocean. Luckily it cleaned a little bit and we went for a dip. The water is quite warm. I guess if you are going to this resort, you are NOT going for the beach. Unless you are prestige member, otherwise it will be very hard to get the gazebo on the beach (maybe woke up at 7am). They reserved some of the gazebo for Prestige member. Restaurant: All the restaurants are good. The Deco for all the restaurant are nicely done! The Seafood are amazing! Taste very fresh. Buffet (Spoon) is always a good option but out of all the other restaurant, we like 1. Zavaz Caribbean restaurant (Best Fish), 2. Zocalo Cantina bar (Best taste Taco), 3. Tapaz Spanish restaurant (A little too salty), 4. Pizza Dude! (Next to the kids pool – targeting kids). We never need to make any reservation for the restaurants and they were never packed. Entertainment: 2 shows every night. Music, Singing, Magic, dancing etc. Usually they have a 8pm show which is more kids friendly (Nickelodeon Orange Carpet). I love the show but don’t expect firework or anything like that. Again, it is a family resort so I think it is just good. Sometime we missed some of the show as we didn’t go and check what’s the 8pm show. Maybe it is a good idea for a 1 pager to leave at our room the night before remaining me what show is on the next day. Maintenance: I constantly seeing staff cleaning, repairing, painting within the resort. They are working around the clock to keep this place clean and ready for their guests. I don’t have any complaint about that. Kids Area: Nice place. If you kids is between 4-12. You can drop them off so you can have some alone time. They have lots of activities every hours to keep the kids happy and busy. Movie night daily 7:30 – 9:30pm My kids are a bit too young so we couldn’t take full advantage for that. You can also borrow toys from them and bring it back to your room (It works well for my 1 year old with new toys every day). Nickelodeon character around the kids pool. Wish we see more Paw Patrol… Weather: Between 28-30C the first 5 days. Always sunny! Weather forecast said there will be thunder shower for the last 3 days but only some rain and clouds. So don’t 100% trust the online weather forecast. Never need to wear a wind breaker or anything.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Great Family Hotel

Special thanx to Wendy from TripCentral she was able to organize all our family members travel plans making sure we were all arriving within hours of each other. We were flying from Montreal, Edmonton & Toronto. She recommended the Iberostar Tucan & It was a great choice we all loved it! The resorts are amazing and alacarte restaurant are great all the staff always with smile easy going to other resorts I love to go back there thanks to my agent bill for his advice Very clean and mini club has a lot of activity my daughters still talking about there the beach in not good for swimming with a lot of rocks otherwise everything is amazing

Selection Riviera Cancun: Excellent food!

This was about my 15th all inclusive and the first where I could honestly say that the food was excellent. Dishes all arrived hot and perfectly cooked and unlike some resorts the food did not all taste "the same". Make your way to the adult pool bar for some excellent service from Mariano, Zakeo, and Evelio, who have the ability to make any drink that you can imagine. We even managed to do a bit of decent snorkeling from the beach, and saw lots of corals and fish including a nurse shark, eels, lobster, and a stingray. My one disappointment was that a beach walk got cut off in both directions from that resort. Beautiful resort. Great staff! Great food!

My wife and I have been to Mexico probably around 20 times over the last 40 years and we both agree that this resort is our favorite. This was our second time there and have no complaints at all. Grounds, pools , rooms , staff, food etc. are all excellent. Booked thru Trip Central and all went smoothly.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Fabulous Resort

The resort was huge, clean and had plenty of activities, bars and restaurants. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The al carte restaurants were amazing (Italian my least favourite). Beach was rocky, fine if you bring water shoes. Good selection of liquor. Overall a fabulous vacation and I would return.

The food was really good and thoughtfully presented. Staff was a pleasure, and check in was really easy. Rooms were comfortable and the hotel was well kept overall. Spa is great. We had a lovely week.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort

Once again Hard Rock in the Mayan exceeded our expectations. Resort is very clean. Service is 10/10. Kids always enjoy the Woodward!!! The entertainment staff keep you and the kids engaged. We typically have a hard time with the food, although at Hard Rock food is excellent!

The Sian Ka'an at Grand Tulum: A beautiful resort on the Carribean Sea!

This hotel is beautiful! The two things that stand out for me is the fact that it is right on the water ... you can snorkel right out your door and see beautiful fish only a few feet into the water and not all of the resorts are like that. Also, the staff are lovely ... warm smiles abound! The rooms are spacious and clean and their are 4 large pools to enjoy on the property. Our groups of friends, 13 ppl in total stayed here Dec. 5-10/18. The resort is really nice,we all have a swim up rooms. Just wish they have bidet in the toilet. Facilities are great. Italian restaurant has the most excellent food & services. The Blue moon resto also has good food & services. She said, we can’t have our table ready until everybody’s present. So, when everybody’s there, we thought we’ll be seating in on one table. The hostesses said, they cannot changed the settings of their dining area. Why did she even asked us to wait.!Until our group are all there. If they can’t even accommodate us on one table. We even told her we can use the long table w/ the bench at back as it was almost empty at that time. Well, end up On different tables far apart fr esvh others. The rid eye steak is very tough & chewy. Our server “Baltazar” is so forgetful, he forgets w:c table order what the whole night. The buffet restaurant doesn’t have much selection, in fact the menu is almost the same everyday. It start fresh at breakfast & lunch. Dinner is like left over of lunch. They just rearranges the food in a smaller platter. The best part of activity is the at pool, foam party. And the karaoke night.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Unforgettable Experience!

I whole-heartedly recommend the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. We travelled with 2 kids 9 & 5. The family superior room with bunk beds were beautiful and comfy. The kids club was outstanding and the water park a delight! The food was excellent. We simply loved the Eco focus, the jungle like environment and emphases on the Mayan culture.
