Hotel Vigia: good late season trip

Had a really nice stay at Solar Cayo Guillermo from June 18 - 25. We did a lot of research before we left and knew exactly what to expect so we ended up going with an open mind and real expectations. The people at this resort are wonderful. They are the bonus of this resort and why so many people keep going back. The beach and ocean here are the best. With the temp at this time of year the temp of the ocean is perfect. The pool at this resort are great. The only issue I had, and by no means did  [... read more]this dampen our trip, but the buffet was very lacking. Small things like no bacon at breakfast, sometimes no ketchup, the buffet was the same every day. This resort is advertised by Sunwing as having 2 a LA cart restaurants, in fact 1 has been torn down and is in the process of bring rebuilt. The other one that is open is excellent. The choices are varied and any one would be a good choice. Overall, we had a great time and got the holiday we were looking for. I would recommend this resort to my friend's but would tell them you get 5 star people but 3.5 star resort.

Hotel Playa Coco: Great Spot for Couples and Families

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Playa Coco. The service was incredible and the staff, from gardeners to front desk, were like family. The beach is beautiful and it's a great area for those who love snorkeling. The variety and quality of the food was quite good. We definitely would visit again.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing resort

Went June 7 2015 Great hotel food was good beach was good staff was good I will go back again local drinks were good.for international drink not much choice bar tender were goods they won't let you wait bottom line I will go back again

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Awesome vacation!

Had an amazing time at Memories Flamenco in Cayo Coco! I came to this resort with young children aged 3 and 6 and it was perfect! the resort is beautifully maintained and the rooms were open and spotless. I honestly have no complaints about this resort...the food was good the staff was friendly the pools were great and the beach amazing! I would definitely return :)

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Will never go there again & I do not recommend it

Beds very old and uncomfortable, very little food at buffet and no ambiamce (no music) all we could here was plate forks and knives. Resorts need TLC. All they give you is one bottle of water for the week. You need to buy your water. Staff smile only if you tip them.

Hotel Mojito: June 7th to 14th

The Weather was hot, hot, hot, and the air conditioning in our room worked perfectly! The food was meh, but cappuccinos were perfect! The beach is stunning! There is no reason that we would not return to this resort!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Disapointing resort

Our 10th time in Cuba we did not like this resort at all, this is not a 4 stars hotel, We've been to 3 stars hotels in Cuba & there were much better. Even if it's low season it is not a reason to treat tourists badly. Somedays you won't get toast neither butter You'd better bring your own marmelade or honey since they do not offer some in this 4* hotel... Rude people from hotel rushing & serving themeselves badly grabing everything in front of you or passing the line. I don't mind staff eating with us but come on there is a minimum of "savoir vivre" and respect we paid for being on holidays in all included. A lot of bored staff and not even able to push up the button to heat the soup (we asked 3 times...) À la cartes were serving better food, serving was pretty fast. Conclusion: avoid this hotel

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Simply elegant

Great hotel! Smaller resort with beach pool rooms and dining all within a short walking distance. Food was amazing, the best I've had on any vacation I've been on! Hotel rooms were renovated. Simply but elegant. Staff were always smiling and trying to get you up and having a good time . Drunks were great! Lobby bars made awesome daquariea and iced coffee Beach was smaller then what I've experienced in Cuba but still beautiful. They keep to themselves and actually run away if you get too close to the . I would rate my trip a 4.7 and would recxoment to anyone ! It is on my list of places I would return to.

Hotel Playa Coco: Good Resort

Rooms are not perfect, but clean, it is a bit old hotel,, but still nice.Food is not enough, you have to wait till they will grill some meet, because the grills does not heat enough. will suggest to young people who are just in need of ocean and relaxation.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Quiet relaxing

The grounds is fairly clean... the staff is wonderful except for the ladies at the front desk. I've been to Cuba many times to multiple resorts... this is the first time I noticed attitude. The Boss walks around the ground and seems heavily involved as he spends time all over the grounds. The rooms are very clean. The entertainment is truly wonderful. No waiting in line for anything. The main 24 hr bar should be moved to the entertainment section bar because that looks way classier. The beach is fantastic and the disco is 5 min away but unfortunately you have to pay 10 pesos to enter. Pestana cayo coco is a great place to relax. Enjoy friends

Tryp Cayo Coco: Tryp Cayo Coco

We had friendly and helpful staff. There were great activities for the children to participate in. We went in the slow season, so not all restaurants open, and a smaller variety of food available. limited selection. Bar service was quick. Restaurant service in the premium restaurants was great. The buffet service was great except for the odd server. Just like in Canada.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Resort and Staff are nice that's all....

I've been to Varadero & Cayo Santa Maria before this is my first time in Cayo Coco. The Good: The resort it self is very nice. The staff and service is excellent. The Bad: Beach area- No sun shade/umbrella. Only a small section to enter the water without rocks. Got eaten alive by sand flies/musquitos. The food isn't at par compare to other resorts in cuba. No Cuban celebration day. I will return to Cayo Coco but not at this resort.

Melia Jardines del Rey: New Resort

The resort is brand new and only half opened...the cuban workers are super friendly on the resort..a special shout out to Mosley our gardner unit 14 ....the pool is very big as well as a nice swim up bar...beach is good...but there are rocks in the water some sharp...stay to the left side and it is all sand...was not crazy for the food though....

Tryp Cayo Coco: not as published by tour operators

Food not served at protocol temperature and beef, chicken, pork meat handling requirements. Not as avertised and how can you market this property at this price point and call it four star. Would you send your family there.

Hotel Camino del Mar: friendly atmosphere

Over the last eleven years there have been some improvements to the a-la-carts and the lobby, buy some things are starting to show their age. There is the promise that Melia intends to upgrade all the rooms, section by section. if these improvements happen and maybe add a third restaurant, I will probably return for the fishing there.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Overall good trip

Beach was nice, hotel was standard, food was typical. Nothing really exceptional about the hotel. The weather was rainy but we still had fun. Ocean was warm and pool as well. Newer hotel but still needs to improve on the maintenance and grounds up keep. Cayo coco beaches are beautiful, that's why I went. Quick ride from airport to hotel.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful resort, amazing staff!

My husband, 5 month old daughter and I visited this resort May 20-27, and we loved every moment! The resort is beautiful, and the grounds are very well kept. There was constantly people out working on the lawns, trimming hedges and working on gardens. The beach is beautiful, perfectly white sands, and crystal clear waters. Once you're in the water, there is a rocky area, but we brought water shoes and we had no issue maneuvering it. The pools aren't too busy so we spent most of our time there. T [... read more]hey have lots of shaded seating, if you don't want too much sun. Theres a kids wading pool, and there was rarely anyone there, so if you have very young children and want to take a relaxing dip, head there! The food was really the only part that we had an issue with...if you even want to call it an "issue"! I thought the food was great! My husband didn't enjoy it as much, but he found enough to eat. If you have a chance, take the panoramic bus to Playa Pilar. The bus is 5 pesos/person, and you have to pay a couple pesos for a beach chair at the beach, but it is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life! This was our first family vacation with our baby, and we were worried that it was going to be a hassle. it wasn't at all! the resort makes everything so easy. They provided us with a crib next to our bed, and extra bottled water for her formula. They also provide a baby watching service during the day. the hours are limited to two time blocks during the day (8am-11am and 2pm-5pm if I remember correctly) and they'll only take babies if the Kids Club isn't too busy. But they do offer babysitting services for 5 pesos/hour if you want to do an excursion or just have some time sans baby. The resort is massive, and you do tons of walking, so if you are traveling with small children, BRING A STROLLER! Everything is accessible, so maneuvering with a stroller isn't an issue. I would definitely recommend this resort for families, couples or individuals. Theres lots to do, and everyone is so friendly! We are planning on returning next year!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Relaxing retreat with refreshing ocean breezes

Well kept facilities with excellent staff. Food was acceptable but not noteworthy. Menu changed frequently at grill based on availability. Needed to contact room services for missing pillows, bar refill and towels. Would recommend having the food preparation staff get trained on "Canadian" versions of none Cuban food items.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great resort

We really enjoyed this place. It's not the Ritz but it's the Ritz of Cuba. Staff were very nice, rooms very nice, food was acceptable with lots of choice. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to put on a lot of entertainment and games. The coral on the beach, about 2-3 metres between beach and ocean, extended the length of the beach except for a small space about 10 feet wide. Not ideal but it didn't hinder us from enjoying beach or ocean. Would repeat.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: So much fun with the girls!

I had an amazing time in Cayo Coco, Flamenco resort with my sister and bestie! The resort had alot of activities throughout the day, so it made it impossible to be bored. The sunwing rep was always available, so we could actually pay for the extra activities at any time of the day. The resort staff was so funny and friendly, and made us tip like crazy.
