Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Fantastic place

Amazing place. We loved every minute of being there. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Great food with the huge variety of choices for every taste. Cenotes and underground river is the must see and just 10 min away. Fantastic place for snorkling and discovering some Mayan history. Planning to come back.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Nice quiet, great food amd service

This is a nice quiet one, not like a party place...a little faraway from airport but transfer was good. Food is great and so is the service. Troleys between other resorts are also convenient. Beach is not that good. Too small and crowded.. overall recommend this place

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Good resort,just needs an update.

The employees at this resort are amazing and speak exceptionally great English. The hotel furnishings are worn and outdated. The room we stayed in is very dated and the mattress has out done it’s service life. The maids did a great job on keeping it clean. Hotel grounds are in pristine condition, thanks to the grounds people. Beach was good besides the sea weed, which is totally uncontrollable. The fella running the tractor did remove it daily. Pools were in good condition.lounge beach chairs [... read more] were beat up and worn. Food was pretty good did not have any issues,buffets were ok. Ala carts were very good.and did not need a reservation except for the Chinese. Nightly entrainment was kinda Blah. The location of the resort was poor if you wanted a taxi ride into town, 17 USD each way. 2 min ride. Not much there. Take the Free bicycle tour in the morning if you are interested in going to town. It is close to the airport which is nice.25 minute bus ride. Overall the resort is very easy to get around and would recommend it.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Nice resort

The resort was really nice, food was very good as was the service. The only thing not so good was the beach but we did know that before going. We upgraded to swim up room on first floor which was nice as higher floors were very slippery when balcony door open. Don't book room on 4th floor as there is a bar there and it can be noisy at night. I would not hesitate to return to this resort. Thx to Marni at trip central who was very helpful in booking this for us.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Spectacular Hotel!

This hotel was amazing! It’s so beautiful and so large! It’s very big yet has an intimate feel because the staff are so lovely! The staff will always greet you and make your stay even more special! There is a huge selection of food and a la carte restaurants. There’s an ice cream shop, a coffee shop and a crepe restaurant! I was in heaven! So delicious! Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great resort

The resort was wonderful very clean and staff is very good. The grounds were kept very clean. The room was excellent.. we did get some bug bites but other then that it was great holiday very relaxing

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Lovely resort, great for family’s

Love this resort. There was so much to do, never bored. Had a club on the resort that we had no idea about as it wasn’t really advertised. They had a restaurant that was open 24/7 which was nice after the bar. Yummy food, good drinks. I would highly recommend xplor fuego excursion!! ATV, night zipline, caves exploring. Resturaunts at the resort has great food. Apppetizer, dinner and dessert. 5stars. So far the best all inclusive resort I’ve been to. Very helpful staff for the most part. Only downfall was all the walking, they had a shuttle that would take you back and forth but there is only one running and takes forever to wait for it so we just walked. If you don’t want to do a lot of walking, I would recommend the daisy or adults only hotels as they are closer to most of the entertainment. We stayed in the eden hotel which was closer to the beach but far from everything else. Overall we had an amazing time and would strongly reccomend visiting this resort!!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Awesome resort!

Food was awesome! Rooms were great! Best stretch of beach meaning they maintained their part of the beach the best plus their part of the beach had the best sand too ! Hardly any rocks all fine sand! The grounds were well kept as was the pools always kept clean! Staff very friendly and helpful!

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Beautiful Resort

This is our second time visiting the Iberostar property but our first staying at the Grand Paraiso. It was absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing both at the buffet and the restaurants. The grounds were kept immaculately. The infinity pool was our second home and the bartenders at the swim up bar were amazing, always willing to create new drinks. It was my birthday while I was there and they brought me a special dessert at dinner. The maid also decorated our bed with rose petals and a "towe [... read more]l cake". The Butler, Jesus left a chilled bottle of champagne for us. We will be back !

You can't find a better value for a vacation.Great service, great a la carte restaurants, drink service on the beach, and a great adult hotel.Good selection of quality liquors. You wouldn't be disappointed if you book this hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Good resort and great value!

This resort is well tended, rooms are very clean, service is great. There are always tons of selections at the buffet, though it does tend to get repetitive with only a couple things changing each night for a theme, but you will not go hungry there that's for sure. We found a-la-cartes a little difficult to get in, either only availability being way too early ie 5:00 or way too late at 10:00 and we were only a group of 6. We only were able to book one together at our arrival. Beaches are no [... read more]t comparable to what we are used to in other parts of the Caribbean, rocky and man made in some cases. We were originally in building 37, top floor, but the air conditioning unit for the building is housed on the roof and we had to move for the noise. They were very accommodating though, Ricardo in the Silver Lounge and even at the main reception area. If you don't mind big resorts (as with all the Grand Bahia's) then I would recommend overall. One tip, you can purchase WiFi for the entire week - not just in the lobby areas at a cost of $9USD, which we did for both our devices, well worth it, had WiFi on the beach even.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Didn't meet my expectations

I went with high expectations for this hotel given it was a 5 star. The room was exactly like the picture, which was great. Service was good (usual nothing out of the world, great service in Mexico for sure) and the facilities looked like the pictures advertised. What I didn't like about the resort was the pool area. I didn't upgrade to the VIP section of the hotel, which they say is better. There was NEVER space available. Guests would actually wake up at 6am, leave their towels on a chair a [... read more]nd do their thing. It was REALLY frustrating. I also wasn't too impressed with the buffet. I liked the Cafe they had. I was happy to learn that they have vegan alternatives for dairy. At the buffet, I felt a bit limited. The "freshness" of the food is what I was most looking forward to, but I wasn't too impressed with the variety. I didn't try the restaurants - but people did enjoy them. Options were limited for vegetarians really. The buffet had more. I felt that (obviously) the hotel was all about presentation vs. solid quality. The gift shop = RIDICULOUSLY expensive. $7.00 for a lighter? absolutely ridiculous. Again, the hotel was VERY lovely, really nice and clean amenities. But, I'd be just fine with a 4 star - it wasn't really what I was looking for.

Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette: They do it right

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect, the reception, the staff, very well maintained rooms, lots of activity with even there own phone app so you know what is happening as entertainment, activities and restaurants. Another plus is the number of a la carte restaurants that you can book all in advance without any waiting lines. exceptional meals every day, did not use the buffet once except for breakfast. We stayed on the family side of the resort but enjoyed all the activities and me [... read more]als on the adult only side. At first we were concerned about the noise but actually way better than on the adult side as kids are usually in bed early versus the parties on the adult side that can go all night as they do host 1 or 2 weeding's a day. the only regret is that the beach has suffered from the weather and was not great to swim, the hotel had an army of employees trying to keep it clean of sea weeds but its tuff to beat mother nature

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort...amazing staff

This was our second time visiting this resort and we just love it. Food is great staff is great...clean amenities everything was great. Only complaint is the ocean is on limestone so you gotta be careful to not hurt yourself getting in and out. But it's still a beautiful beach.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Amazing time

I really loved this resort the staff was amazing! It was nice you didn’t have to wear wrist bands. And you got unlimited anything anywhere. It was nice they had an adult only pool. I really didn’t wanna hear screaming kids all day! All the food was amazing my fav was the sushi place. The only down side was my room had a lot of things that where broken. Other than that it was amazing and I would go back!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Twas an ok resort

This resort was not as expected from pics on website. It was build in 2016, so I expected it to have a newer, fresher feel to it. A lot of the furniture looked very worn for a newer resort! Not the luxurios resort I was expecting to see. The rooms had a issue with musty dampness, we were given a dehumidifier which helped a lot thru the week. Grand Riviera Princess: Better than the last time I stayed at the Grand Princess.

the resort overall was amazing I was there once and this was my second time it has improved a lot jonathan from the from lobby was amazing he helped us out all week when he was around our private pool with a butler was so nice and a very quiet area

Was super! The food was lovely. Jonathan a worker that has been working there for 7 years; was so so amazing! Awesome employee :). The beach was beautiful and so many warm employees. So many different food choices as well :)

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: A really nice resort!

This resort really takes care of their grounds. Very beautiful place! The front desk personnel are top notch. Any concerns we had were addressed RIGHT away! The resort is huge! It's actually comprised of four places including a golf course! BUT! They have really good transportation for getting around. You won't wait more than 5-10 min for a ride! The ala carte restaurants are really nice. All in all, this is a really good bang for your buck!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: One week was too short

Had a fantastic time in this unique eco resort. As a photographer the wildlife was a welcomed bonus. Was able to photograph 20 different species of birds with the help of the of the “eco-activity” coordinators. An abundance of wild life was everywhere. The food was great (although not 24 hrs). A very family focused place with plenty to do. Wi Fi for myself was superb! At one point I made a suggestion and it was promptly addressed.
