Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great resort!

Our 7 day stay was amazing! Staff at this resort were fantastic, kind & courteous. Our room was nice, clean and the bathroom had recently been remodeled. We had a beachfront, ground floor room in the Plover building. Highly recommend it. We opened our patio door, stepped off our terrace and we were on the beach. Everything was so nice and close, the restaurants, pool etc.. The food was good. We enjoyed our stay very much :)

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Love the resaort

The grounds are very well maintained. not enough garbage containers around. The entertainment people are great specially Chocalate. miss having foam parties when it was BeLive. I have been at this location 10 times and will continue to come back as long as I get treated the way I have in the past.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Taken advantage of

Curacao is a beautiful warm, friendly, beautiful, historic and safe island. The resort was clean. The food was excellent. The Italian was my favorite. The staff were super friendly. The beach has a concrete pad down with Sand over it in the sitting area because lack of natural white sand I guess. There is a rule about no reserving beach chairs which is completely ignored so palapas are gone by 6 AM but you can find a lounger. Sunclubs are newer in better shape. Bring water shoes, it's a bi [... read more]t rocky in places. Entertaining fire dancers were excellent, we had a carnival night with excellent dynamic musicians. And lounge type music outside at night. We were suggested to purchase the Sunclub package. It includes having a separate nicer building at quiet end of the resort with your own less crowded beach area, private bar, newer chairs, different towels, private pool and a bar fridge restocked daily. and prioritized check in.We got NONE of that. On arrival we got in line for check in and waited. When it was our turn we got sent to the sunclub lounge to check in there and waited again. After that we never saw anyone in it because it seems just like a business office with a couple couches and chairs, coffee, wine, water and cookies. The term lounge is exaggerated. We took our luggage, struggled by ourselves to the building at the farthest building from the sunclub. Only one elevator worked of the two. The halls were dingy. The room was bright, large and clean. The maids were very nice. We got an ocean view, true but it was the back of the kitchen and buffet area with all the noise and ventilation sound. The cold water tap didn't work, no problem. We slept separate on our anniversary vacation because we got 2 small beds instead of the king bed in our vacation agreement. No quiet for us because the nightly entertainment was just down to the left of us. On 2 different days we banging above us from workers directly above us on the roof working into the evening. The daily restocked fridge was checked the next day after getting there the nothing until after asking personally/ calling 5 times to ask. Second last day they came . You can drink the water but only the hot water tap worked so I filled my yeti and put in fridge or went down to the bar to get water. The vip services said sunclub members are put all over the resort which there were some others in our building. Finally one rep said they overbooked, that's why we weren't in sunclub area. I find it deceitful/ sneaky, we never got what we paid for, no apologies or reimbursement. We did eat in the Bluewater grill for breakfast once. It's for sunclub only but is the same food in smaller portions except with table service. Got asked several times to visit the dreams hotel and learn about the vacation club in a private session for 45 min, no obligation and get a free couples massage. AKA time share pressure pitch. The concierge Amanda was excellent and attentive although couldn't comment on on our downgrade or any way to resolve it. We were never moved. You may not get what you ask for and I know we're not the first. PS short walk to Mambo beach. Beach is identical but you have to pay to stay and squeeze in with all the cruise visitors. Nice sops and restaurants. The Curacao Store on upper level is very reasonably priced. Got all our souvenirs there. The gift shop at the resort is +++ expensive.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Not worth the money

Dining was terrible with the exception of Italian restaurant. Sunclub was not worth it - always requested beer but never came. Beach was very rocky and entertainment in the evenings was not good. The buffet was horrible and if it weren’t for the Italian restaurant we would have lost some weight for sure!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Nice resort

It met my expectations. The people who work there are excellent. The food was good, but the pizza area needs improvement; I think it needs more staff! The air conditioning needs to be improved in the rooms.

We had an amazing stay at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana and truly enjoyed every part of our vacation. The resort is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile, which made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent, with a great variety of options at both the buffet and the à la carte restaurants. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Overall, it was an excellent experience and exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely recommend Sunscape Coco Punta Cana to friends and family and would happily return in the future.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Amazing people!!

Stayed Nov/25...great hotel, very clean, kind helpful staff. Beach is beautiful, with plenty of shade and chairs. Grounds were very neat and tidy, as the grounds crew does nice work. The ala carte restaurants were good, especially daytime at the Bluewater grill and the food truck(super fish tacos)!! Buffet for breakfast and lunch was plentiful, great selection, however not crazy about the supper buffet. But I do remember Margharito, waiter at the Bluewater! Great guy made me laugh! Warm water but waves were a bit rough, which made for alot of sand in your swimsuit! Lol We were able to walk down the beach a ways and saw the release of baby turtles, which was the highlight of our trip!!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good resort

This is an older resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was minimal but as I said the rooms were clean. The grounds are very pretty, the beach is very nice and there was alot of seaweed on the beach when we were there over Christmas. The staff were friendly and service was basic but good. Tony in the restaurant is fantastic! It is a lower cost resort and that is reflected in the service. We had a great time at this resort. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Value for money & time

It is located a short drive from the airport. A very clean and well maintained resort. It is the smallest one I have been to however the benefits are that you don’t have to walk long distances to get to the restaurant or cafés and even the beach is right there. On my trip all the staff at the Cafe , bars and restaurants were amazing. Customer service was great. Cleanliness of the rooms and the public washrooms was fantastic. In case someone from the resort is reading this I would request that staff be trained to wipe down the steam nozzle of the espresso machine after each use. Nightly entertainment was good. Entertainment was great. I cannot think of any shortcomings.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Sunscape Coco

This hotel was wonderful. Everything was close so there wasn’t a lot of walking. The beach was beautiful. The grounds were clean, the rooms were clean, the buffet was lovely lots of choices and the green juice was delicious. We were there over Christmas and the Christmas Eve dinner was one of the best I have ever seen. Above and beyond all the way. Our house keeper was so beautiful she was friendly and was singing Christmas songs. She gave me trouble when I tried to help make the bed haha. There are a lot of carts travelling on the pathway and they are very loud. The beach did have a lot of seaweed too but that’s nature. They didn’t use bracelets so we even got to try out some sunclub features because some of our party was staying in sunclub. Over all I would go back and I would get sunclub swim out room!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good budget resort.

We spent a week over the Xmas and the place was very busy. The rooms were ok, close to the beach and to short distance to everything. Where this place needs improvement is the food options, services, starting with check-in: it took more than 1h and was past mid-night. Buffet service is slow and sometimes inexistent, waiting for a glass of water or a beer and sometimes was easier and faster to help yourself. The beach is nice has lots of chairs available and lots of shades, there was lots of sargassum, and that got cleaned up a few times in a week. The hotel that is the neighbor to left, did a way better job in cleaning it. The entertainment was fine with shows every night. I would recommend this place with one condition if you can get it very cheap. If you get a very good deal, go for it.

No one seemed happy to be working there Food was okay Hard to get into the restaurant beside buffet Lots of seaweed Tony is the best server in the buffet by far Had a good time but could had a better time if I payed more.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Too bad for the price they charge

Bad service. When you have a complaint about the service they say’ no hablo ingles”. There was no fish in the menu, nor beef. Only pork. Barely any passion fruits. Dirty. Plates are made of plastic; glasses are made of plastic too. The room was clean; however we found 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. The beach was so so dirty: seaweed was removed from the shore only 2x in 7 days, there was plastic in the water, boats were too close to the beach- it smelled like gasoline and it blocked the view

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Snorkelling, sunsets and outdoor dining!

If you are looking for friendly people willing to help when asked; meals in open outdoor restaurants steps from the ocean; snorkelling steps from your beach chair in what feels like an aquarium; sunsets to die for from the beach or your room balcony; and a great location for exploring the rest of Curacao then this resort is for you! If you are someone who likes modern large resorts with bar service in your beach chair then this is probably not your best choice. The resort rooms could use [... read more] some upgrade, however, the beds are comfortable, the AC worked and they were always clean and well stocked. The food in the restaurants (with the exception of the only one requiring reservation -the PanAsian) was good. The beach has beautiful swimming and snorkelling. The only downside is the shortage of palapas which created the early morning competition to reserve..no sleeping in if you want some shade. We explored the beauty of Curacao off resort with ease. It is a 5 minute walk to Mambo beach which can provide the Miami type vibe if that interests you. The shuttle vans that cost $2 stops out front of the resort. We took it to and from Williamsted- a must see. We hired a private guide who drove us to the north west -Shete Boka National Park, Playa Pescado(turtles), Grote Knipe beach, Playa Kenepa Chiki, Flamingos. Private guide was more economical than paying for excursion for 3 people. We arranged a snorkelling tour to visit the south west of island -Spanish Waters with cruise through the bay on the way to sunken Tugboat. We would recommend this resort for those who do not need grandiose to enjoy the amazing beauty of Curacao.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Perfect weather every day!

This was a wonderful escape from our Canadian winter weather. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Sunny and 31c everyday. The resort was nice and people were exceptionally friendly. Also, the service was outstanding. Beautiful beach and the sunsets were amazing! Also, we had no issues with vendors or people selling timeshares. Our favorite restaurants were the Italian and the Bluewater grill. However, we were not keen on the buffet or some of the Mexican food. However, this is purel [... read more]y personal taste. If you have children, this is a great place to visit. There are many kids programs available at this resort. If there is an area for improvement, I would suggest perhaps more food/dinner variety.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Very nice resort

Entertainment team were great. Good service and food Overall good vacation resort. Food was okay. Shows were different from other resort.. Entertainment team were very freindly and have good programs specially for kids.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Relaxing stay

Overall this was a very nice place. Grate for snorkeling in a controlled area restaurants were very good. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Live music was nice. Nice getaway. City was beautiful and people were friendly. Definitely going back!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Wonderful time

Sunscape coco. The staff are amazing but, the room we were in definitely needed some updating. Pools were great. Mexican restaurant was fabulous we went twice. Buffet always had a lot of choices. Visit the star struck bar and find Rafael. Great bartender.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Lively fun family resort

We had a good family vacation. Our goal was to spend time together and the hotel gave us rooms next to each other. I would say this is a solid 3.5 resort. Pros: Large resort with lots of entertainment. Wi Fi worked well. Food was good. Snacks and drinks were always available. Chairs by the pool and at the beach were easy to find. Beach was nice for walking. Enjoyed the slides at the pool. Overall the resort and rooms were clean. Cons: Swimming at the beach was not something  [... read more]we wanted to do. Quite alot of seaweed and sandy dark water. The app for the buffets was not user friendly. We found them hard to book and most often said nothing available even when we tried booking early. Also they had ala cartes that cost extra even though we were on an all inclusive package. The servers at the buffet were not organized. One night we had problems getting them to bring us utensils. We had a feeling there was some problems between the staff and who was responsible for each area in the buffet.
