Highly overrated resort

Beautiful beach, clear water, and a generally quiet property were the highlights. Unfortunately, little else at this resort lived up to expectations. Accommodations were in need of updating. Food was average at best with limited selections. Loud live evening music was played at the buffet well before dining hours were over so a late quiet meal at the buffet was impossible. Much of the staff were aloof and service, both at restaurants and bars, was terrible. A good drink was almost imp [... read more]ossible to find. I realize that marijuana is as common as cigarettes in Negril, but to have a couple smoking weed at the dinner table beside you during your meal on New Years Eve is unacceptable. Staff was aware of this as the waitress took a picture for them. Overall, a very poor value for the price.

Best Resort Ever!

Couple's Swept Away was simply the best place we've been to, in the Caribbean. The service is out of this world. Staff is genuine and incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was gorgeous and the bed was supremely comfortable. But I must say, the best thing was the beach and the food. Outstanding in every way. I will be returning.

Tropical Getaway

Couples Swept Away Negril Jamaica is a fantastic place. You can relax and do nothing or you can be as busy as you like. The whole experience is wonderful. The staff are friendly, the property is beautiful, the water and beach are the best we've ever had the privilege to use.

The resort boasts an incredible beach and amazing dining options. It may not be as ostentatious as some resorts but they make up for that in spades with incredible service and a variety of inclusions that are rarely free at other resorts. The pools may be small but are kept clean and who wants to hang out in a pool with crystal clear waters at the beach. The red flag service is great! The only real complaint is the sounds of nature on full display at night. Bring ear plugs (helps a bit) but be warned of incessant noise form 8 at night until about 5 in the morning. My wife and I seemed to be in the minority in being first timers at this resort as almost all the people we spoke with were returning guests. Having spent a week at CSA I can certainly see why people return year after year and plan on becoming a return guest as well.

Great Beach

Spent 7 days at Couples Swept Away, room was great, we would recommend a second floor room, better views. Food was good, lots of choice although I think they need 1 or 2 more sit down restaurants. Staying 7 days we felt we needed more options. Although pools were small it is not a pool resort, the beach is the sell on this resort absolutely beautiful. Fantastic Vacation!

Overall, this place was beautiful and relaxing. The beach is one of the best we've seen with crystal clear water, little waves and sand like powder. The food is great - the 2 a la cart restaurants are spectacular but do fill up quickly with reservations. The only downfalls would be that space to sit in your room is limited to one chair or the bed, there is a lot of road noise in the garden verandah suites and the grounds aren't exactly lush - but the fact that the resort basically sits right on  [... read more]the beach more than makes up for that. The service and quality at every bar was awesome. We went scuba diving with the crew on site and had a great time. The people in general in Jamaica are the most welcoming and kind of all the countries we've been to. We will definitely return.

Beautiful place!

This hotel is on the most perfect part of seven mile beach. The resort is very well kept, the rooms are slightly dated but still nice and clean. The beds are on the firm side. The food was surprisingly delicious with a wide variety of options. The activities that are included are fantastic, especially the catamaran cruise! Most of the staff is very friendly. NICE RESORT

Nice resort, staff were amazing. Only negative was road noise at rooms along the road! The beach was great, property is well maintained. The Feathers menu is very good. Resort was not over crowded, no line ups for anything.

Great getaway for couples

Beautiful property with lush mature tropical trees, nice rooms and huge deck (terrible road traffic noise in gardenview verandah suites). Fantastic beach and great security staff to discourage harrassment from beach peddlers. Good food. Friendly staff. Quick check in and check out but reception staff needs to brush up on making guests feel welcome. They were generally aloof and impatient.

Couples Swept Away Nov. 2016

As this was our 12th time to Jamaica, but our first time to Couples Swept Away, we did enjoy most of what the Hotel offered. We were under the impression that there was 24 hour room service, but found out on our late arrival, that room service was only for breakfast. That was disappointing, but no big deal. Our coffee maker didn't work, found that out on morning #1, and considering we get up at 5:30 am every day, it could have been an issue. The weather was great, we were hoping for an upgraded room, because we are Couples repeat guests (been to Couples Negril), but that didn't happen, and that was fine also. We paid a ton of money for our 5 day trip, and as I said, we've been to Jamaica many times. We would not return to this particular property, unless it was on sale, because we have been to many RIU's and Sandals, and other Couples properties, and we didn't feel that this one was worth what we paid. The staff was great, the room was okay, but just not worth what we paid.

Awesome resort!

No complaints about Couples Swept Away! Beautiful beach, wonderful staff, and the property itself was outstanding. I have never been to an all inclusive before where the staff were so gracious and kind. Would love to return one day to paradise.

Beautiful place!

Overall the hotel was great, and we enjoyed a fantastic vacation. It was very clean, nice rooms, great amenities and had very pleasant staff. The beach was simply gorgeous and the resort did not seem to be crowded at all. Lots of chairs available at the beach at any time of day. Food was standard, nothing stood out, except for the unfortunate snails pace of service at Seagrape café and Cabana Grill (not to mention, at Cabana Grill once the food got to us it was cold , that will teach us for [... read more] ordering fries and onion rings!) The only other issue was our phone kept ringing at all times of the night, well, actually it was only twice, however, when we asked for a wakeup call on the day of departure, we neglected to receive a call. I think I know how the unintended recipient felt! Thank goodness for cell phone alarms.

Amazing Vacation

We had an amazing 7 night vacation at CSA and everything exceeded our expectations. Room: We stayed in the Garden Verandah suite - yes, we can hear the traffic noise but we were not in our room mostly and noise was not a problem for us at night. Room is clean, bed is firm and very comfortable, big and wide balcony. Food: Very good - Patois, Palms, Feathers, Cabana Grill and SeaGrapes. Lemongrass is okay - we have had better Thai food back home. You have to try fish tacos and all the delicious [... read more] salads at SeaGrapes. Natasha at the wellness hut makes the best carrot/beet/ginger juice and Mango smoothie. Top shelf liquor. Activities: So much to do. In general, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Renay (dive centre) - most patient and encouraging scuba instructor who helped me overcome my fear of water/depth during the Scuba Discovery in the pool. Anthony (dive centre) who created an opportunity for me to experience Scuba Discovery in the pool when the scheduled activity was already fully booked. Our one-on-one lessons with David, Brenton and Donovan at the tennis centre - showed the right techniques and corrected our bad habits. We did the catamaran tour. We plan to return next year and spend more time.

A fantastic vacation!

The food was amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the staff was great, very friendly and accommodating! We took full advantage of the watersports, there's so much more included here than your typical all-inclusive. We stayed in a Gardenview room; the room itself was nice, but the road noise was noticeably loud especially morning and evening, although with the a/c on it was mostly drowned out. Absolutely perfect !!!

This was our very first all inclusive and we loved it !! The grounds of the resort were pristine. The walkways and beach were always immaculate. The staff in all areas were always very pleasant and willing to assist us. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we loved the tropical feel of them. The food was amazing !!! It was always fresh and a huge variety so you never had to eat the same thing twice. It was definitely a very romantic spot and we highly recommend it!!

Couldn't ask for anything more

Not only was the food great there was great verity with 5 restaurants 2 snack bars each with its own kitchen , a great selection of water sports and excursions topped of by excellent and friendly service

Awesome, EVERYTHING

Well, where do I start? When we 1st arrived, our A/C didn't work, we were moved to a new room ASAP, all was good. I'm not sure I can say enough about the resort & staff @ CSA.. Everything was superb, the food, great variety, loved the buffet @ the Palms & having a coconut with breakfast was my special treat! We weren't able to visit as long pants is a requirement & they were forgotten. The beach is spectactular & very warm. There are lots of shade & beach chairs. CSA offer beach floaties (cushio [... read more]ns for the chairs, that you can take in the water & lay on, very nice). We did an extra excursion to Rick's Cafe, not worth the $30 in my opinion, but if you have never seen people jump off a cliff into water, then, by all means, go. CSA offer a free excursion to Margarettaville on Wednesdays. We walked there down the beach, it was 5-10 minutes, had a $10 margaretta & enjoyed the view & headed back to our resort (CSA margaretta's are just as good & free!). We took advantage of the free paddle boards & kayaking & snorkeling offered @ CSA & enjoyed very much. I would say, if anything, a downfall are the peddlars that walk up & down the beach, constantly, I understand they are trying to make a living, but it does get a bit annoying after a while, as well, they all ask if 'you smoke?' Marjiuna is anywhere you want, any time, apparently our driver says it is legal as long as you don't have more than an ounce, there were a few smoking this at the resort. Another, the musicians, they will stop & play in front of you, but they have their bucket ready for tips. Also, from a Mr Ice Block, we ended up buying his CD's, nice memorabelia from Jamaica (alot of the musicians do have their CD's to sell)..We had a main floor Atrium room & loved it, it was perfect. In finishing up, there are alot of activities to do, plan your days, or not, we missed alot of fun stuff, just because we really enjoyed the beach & spent most time there, but there is also a big sports facility across the street that is for CSA (best Mango smoothie!), but activites all day long. Amazing Honeymoon

The resort was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better time. Lots of things to do. Staff were very friendly. Very clean and well kept. Security was very relaxed but made me safe. The only part of the trip that was not perfect was the food. It was not bad but not amazing either.

Three times a charm !

This year was our third time at Swepr Away...our first 10-day stay......maybe 14 next year. The beach is great but the staff is fantastic !!! The most priceless experience was that dinner on the beach although it does come at a price !!!

Swept Away, we will be back!

We spent a fabulous week at Couples Swept Away. Beautiful beachfront location, great rooms, (very clean and comfortable), food above par for an all inclusive. People were amazing and friendly. Water sports offerings were great. Night snorkel a must! We will be back!
