GREAT VACATION!

After booking we were a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews from recent guests. We upgraded to the Pyramid, so it would include many of the items that were not included (based on the complaints) ie: many bars, drinks, restaurants, private locations, etc. I'd highly recommend it! The resort is very large and has many activities. So many, we weren't able to take them all in. Everything was laid out very well and maintained above average. We had a couple of little problem [... read more]s, but the front desk was very helpful and we assume that the complaints we read about on the reviews were due to poor opening conversations in how they wanted things addressed. The bar staff was great/fun, the servers were awesome as well. Drinks were great! Food was decent, but some restaurants better than others. I'm not a fan of returning to the same location more than once, because there is so much to see in the world, but this was one of the first resorts that I would actually consider returning too! Definitely a great bang for the buck!

Great all around

I absolutely loved the view from my room. No complaints about the staff either. Nothing is ever perfect but the great aspects vastly outweighs the minor hiccups encountered. Clean beautiful room, friendly staff and well maintained very beautiful resort with a great layout. Would visit again.

Money Grab

I'm not sure what I expected; I was travelling alone and was told that I wouldn't have problems at such an experienced resort. I thought that I had purchased a premium vacation but it turned out that my all inclusive stay was subject to a lot of extra costs including internet, safe, and shows. The check in was brutal as well-I arrived at the hotel before noon and stood in line for well over 2 hours. The resort is huge so you'll need to keep you're map handy to find you're room and locate food buildings. If you're under 35 and like to party be sure to visit over the weekends-they have lots of entertainment for party people. The best I can say about this hotel is that the resteraunt food was good, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel grounds were stunning. I'd visit Mexico again in a heart beat but I won't be staying at the Grand Oasis.

Amazing resort, very slow service

The resort itself was amazing! Keep in mind that it’s huge so you might get a little lost. The food is great and the entertainment is great. The service however is soooo slow. Takes forever to check in or to find someone to help you. Over all I loved my stay and would recommend this resort to friends!

Great resort

My son and I had a great time at the oasis. Lots of food choices entertainment and the staff was very helpful and polite .I would return back to this resort again for the cost was reasonable. There is a family side and a party side to this resort that make it easy from day to day

Ha grand o

The trip was very good overall. A lot of stuff has changed. I really do think mtv saved the trip for how much I paid. Couple days our room never got cleaned. Food was pretty good depending where you went.service was really good. Couple swim up bars were closed only 1 swim up bar was open and very packed. Thank you! Trip to Cuba would be awesome!

Absolutely Beautiful

Overall my experience at the Grand Oasis was one for the books. The resort itself was in beautiful condition and very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and also very accommodating although there were only a small few able to speak English. I would recommend this resort mainly to younger people or families with kids as both seem to be the audiences most catered to. 8/10 rating after my first experience in Mexico, and I know I’d definitely go back if I ever got the chance!

Party Resort

Long lines for food/drinks, staff very unpleasant + unhelpful, rooms were nice however ground floor room smelled musty, drinking cups reused throughout resort and only rinsed out not properly washed. Food very poor for Mexico. If you are looking to party for a week this is the place other than that save your money and go elsewhere

Best resort I’ve ever been to

The staff are amazing and friendly the resort is beautiful and the beach is reallly nice great food aswell the steak rotisserie place is better then the keg marble floor everywhere and wild peacocks on the resort are really cool the pool is huge and the Bebidas are cool best resort I’ve ever been to forsure

Grand Oasis Cancun

Restaurants are perfect. Diversity of foods and fruits and drink. Environment in this hotel is excellent. Employees there are very nice and polite. The shows at night is very attractive. We will go there again next year definitely.

Not the best

We had a horrible first day. We got there early in the day and check in wasn’t until 3pm. We made the best of it, had our bags held, walked the grounds but all we really wanted was a room to relax and change after a long day of travel. It was so unorganized. The lines were ridiculous and after the 4th time of them trying to book us in, we got a room we didn’t want. I had specified a king bed.. got 2 doubles. There was also a joining door held shut by 2 screws and The phone didn’t work [... read more]. We complained and 7 hours after arriving, we had a room with a king size bed. The ceiling in the tub moved when you touched it, had a piece missing in the corner. The bed was comfortable though. And the phone worked. The fridge was only filled every 2nd day and it only had 4 bottles of water, 4 soda in it. One day only it had 2 beer. I had to buy alot more water at the store. The food was good, but most of the time you had to stand in lines lasting hours. We had a blue bracelet (which most people did) the purple were the “lite grand” they had even less options then us. If you didn’t have a black bracket which was part of the pyramid it was like you were shunned! Employees turned you away at certain bars while the others were a 25 minute wait. If you don’t upgrade you are a nobody at this resort. Very disappointing.

Great resort

This hotel is great it’s my second time staying here there’s lots of options and the staff are amazing. My only complaint is they had the party zone booked off for three days so from Friday-Sunday we were not allowed to access that part of the resort there was Punjabi music blasting for three days straight it over powered the other music at the pool and if we wanted to go to the ocean we had to walk all the way to the other side of the resort so I was pretty disappointed in that. Amazing and fun resort

It was beautiful, I was traveling alone and I’m so glad I picked Grand Oasis Cancun. All staff were very friendly, and the people there were awesome! I met so many people it was a blast. The parties were fun and they got me out of my comfort zone! Would definitely stay there again

Great escape

Hotel was large, very clean, staff were attentive and very nice. Many restaurants and bars were closed, many things are an up-charge that was not expecting. Was quiet which was nice, but made me wonder why is such a large resort, not even close to being as half full as it looks.

Nice Resort but water problems

On the first day I got heat stroke and they made it difficult to get clean water. They would resist giving you bottled water and most of the bars had water that tasted funny. Make SURE they are restocking your fridge with water. Many workers dont understand English, so brush up on spanish before you go. This place was the wildest party ever though!!

Amazing resort

Beautiful resort, clean, amazing food and great and friendly service. Wonderful gardens and vegetation. Pool areas are wonderful, but lot of sea grass on beach. Well maintained resort grounds. Rooms need improvement, especially bathrooms too old (problems with drainage in sink and bathtub, shower head sprayed water outside tub), no privacy with semitransparent glass windows from bathroom to bedroom. Lack of entertainment, shows in main lobby but too hot to watch as no air conditioning.  [... read more] Missing entertainment in restaurants while dining, or around pool area during the day. Overall a wonderful experience and worth recommending.

Nice resort

The hotel was nice. Very good looking for the eyes. The food is not bad but its always the same thing. I had difficulty to sleep because of all the noises. The rooms were clean. I dont understNd why people bring children there.

Cancun

Great for partying but that’s about it. Rooms actually pretty decent but staff, and food not great. Not English friendly and most staff seemed pissed to be there. Been to other resorts in Mexico that were light years better. But if you want to go with a bunch of guys and party and meet ppl it’s the place

- Third year in a row at the grand oasis - Great hotel, with lots too do - Many restaurants with good food - Friendly and helpful staff - Nice and modern rooms - Pool always super clean - Hotel grounds always clean - The ocean was a tad messy, but probably from rainstorms prior to our visit - Recommended for young adults, groups of friends, singles

Amazing resort!

Very satisified with the service provided at Grand Oasis Cancun. The nightlife is wonderful. The food was okay. Nothing special in regards to quality. This resort is the best for single individuals. It's not for relationships or married couples. Everyone is there to party and enjoy their time!
