It was a nice resort

As a first time traveller I enjoyed my stay at cofreshiPalm Beach and resort. That being said it is not a good spot for anyone with knee or back issues as many stairs to get to everything. The food was only at certain times and you couldn't get snacks unless you got them at the variety store. The pools and spa were wonderful. The beach was nice not enough chairs. Basically if I were to go here again it would have to be VIP as that section had no sewage smell and less stairs.

Never again

Rooms substandard,no furniture, lack of hot water, sewer smell adjacent to ground floor, exposed electrical box on floor Pools and grounds well maintained and food and bars were very good with good employees Several of my friends got sick

General service is too bad but VIP service is good

One major problem of the hotel is, only 1 hour free wifi each day. Evwn for lifestyle vip members, wifi is available only on the VIP areas and the beach. This is a major communication issue in the resort. The general service is very bad. Rooms are small, bathroom door broken, beds are too small, etc. But when we bought the package from lifestyle, the services were good. But this package is not at all cheap.

Our third trip to Cofresi / good value.

We have found this resort to be a good option while we are in Dominican tending to our boat in Luperon. The staff are accommodating and friendly, lots of variety for pools, ocean front. For the price we feel it is a great option.

Good resort

Bad

We booked all inclusive for my spouse and I for our honeymoon. To start, the hotel is about 30ish mins from the airport. Trip Central supposedly let the hotel know that it was for our Honeymoon however of course the front desk staff didn’t know about that and when we told them upon check-in nothing was offered except “oh, we didn’t know” We booked the Junior Suite with 1 king bed and the room itself was nice from afar but that was it. No hot water, the bed was harder than a rock (I n [... read more]ow need to go to a chiropractor) and much more. We were in building 41 and they were doing a huge construction project on a pool right outside of our room with jackhammers going all day long Monday-Sunday 8 am to 7pm, that was extremely unpleasant, loud, and dusty, we went to the front desk to ask to change rooms however they responded with “we have none available” lmfao. All of the pools at the Cofresi side were in very bad shape as in paint chipping everywhere, garbage in the pools, the waterfalls weren’t on etc. also, they close their pools at 6 PM and there is no swim-up bars operating probably because they’re leaking water. This hotel is in very rough shape. The housekeepers didn’t speak a speck of English so trying to talk to them was impossible. Our phone didn’t work in our room so we had to walk up 16 flights of stairs and about 15 min walk to get the front desk for Them not to do anything. The buffets were good however (The Pearl) There is 96% of Dominican locals that stayed here when we were there and they were what almost seemed like put off because we were Canadian which gave us a very uncomfortable vibe the whole time. The beach: Nice, good swimming conditions, next to no seaweed (we’re there in august) but that’s we’re the good ends. Between the Spa Salesman, Giftshop people, Cigar shop people and timeshare salesman’s made our experience crappy as we were harassed everyday to buy something (we got really good at saying no lol) The timeshare salesman wasted half of our last day for us to continue to say NO every time! My husband said the men’s bathroom in the buffet (the Pearl) has a leaking urinal when he went in and there was a blue POOL TOWEL underneath it to catch the leak like EW! and they give you those blue pool towels to use 🤢 All staff expected tips even for poor service. As per front desk: you only get your mini fridge stocked day of arrival ONLY. I walked up to front desk one morning because we had no water in our room and our phone never worked to call them. Front desk tells me “we don’t have bottled water and you have to wait for the buffet to open to get a GLASS of water” like what? I guess I’ll just dehydrate all day to wait for the buffet or bar to open. What a joke! We had to go off resort to buy more bottled water. (The hotel water is potable, obviously) They say “All Inclusive” but you have to pay for: Wifi, Safe Lock, Xtreme Zone, most activities etc. This was one of the worst resorts we’ve ever been to. We will never be back and we are making a complaint to Trip Central. By far the least all-inclusive resort.

So Many Options

If we consider just the Palm and Tropical. Kind of leaving the owners out of my review. The option to either take a shuttle bus or just walk to get around. The walk up and down the hill it rests on would be tough on some. But the walk around is complemented by easy to follow paths to take.Plenty of kiosks with a map of the site Lots of shade from the trees and buildings. The guys at the lobby bar deserve a special mention. Very engaging and fun to hang out with. Similar with the buffet staff. The food was very good and a decent variety. I only ate at one a la cart. Indo China. Food was very good and the view from the restaurant was very nice. One only complaint. I found a piece of metal in my meal. Looked like a small chip of twisted metal from a can opener. I showed the head of staff while it was still on my plate.

Exceptional

Beautiful resort, clean and friendly! Staff was on top of it all! Huge resort with quick transportation on site. The use of other hotels was amazing. The RSVP restaurants had surprisingly large portions for entrees. 10 out of 10!

Just Meh!

Guest rooms were not the nicest I’ve seen from a resort. Room was outdated, mattress was comfortable but bed frame old and rickety. Not much in way of on site restaurants. Most were reserved for the VIP guests and of the ones that weren’t, only 1 was open and for a Sit down dinner we were in and out in about 45 min!!! So much for a nice relaxing meal. Food in general was ok. Overall cleanliness of the resort was not nice. The beach area was not private and the hotel had locals there all the time. I’m glad that I had won this trip and not had to pay for it. Was a disappointment

Well tailored gardens

Well maintained landscape with careless wait and house keeping staff. Food quality was below our expectations as well the knowledge of waiters. Constantly had to ask maids to give us clean towels and to refill the fridge even though we tipped them every day. Beach was dirty with floating plastic cups. Pools have pealing paints and chipped steps.

Never returning

The experience we encountered, was to say the least one of the worst I have ever experienced. The first day our room did not have any towels whatsoever in it when I called and asked for towels, they examined me as if I was a towel thief. When I finally got towels the next day, when the do not disturb sign was on my door, they decided they were going to clean my room anyway and took my towels once again. I had a dinner reservation for 6 o’clock. call them at 4 o’clock to tell them I had no to [... read more]wels and after four calls to the front desk. I decided to walk up my self and inquire in person upon being very agitated. He told me my towels were at my room, as I was walking back to my room from getting major attitude from the front desk, literally telling me if I didn’t like what I was experiencing to go and complain to customer relations . On my way back to the room I seen the lady walking with my towels. I took them from her and went back to my room alreadyOne hour late for my dinner reservations . The next day I let them clean my room and once again, they took my towels and did not replace them. I was assuming that they wanted to gain some extra revenue by charging me for towels, but I went and took some out of the dirty laundry, just to alleviate this, and they took them again without returning them. Once I can see it as a mistake, twice is poor workmanship, three times it’s just not called for. The lower pool beside the 500 building was totally disgusting. There was so much dirt floating on top bird feces was disgusting, the pool up by the main desk was missing approximately 14 inches of water until all of the locals came in for the Saturday and Sunday. Then they installed water. Monday some reason there must be a leak in the pool it was back down a foot of water . When the locals arrived, the foreigners did not receive any attention from the upper bar or the bar by the beach. We had one our friends sick in bed for 3 1/2 days could not move and we weren’t allowed to bring him any food. Nobody said there was any room service available when asked, lucky for one of the restaurants to let us take some pizza back for him on the third day. All in all the weather was great the beer was cold and the beach was nice. I personally will never use Translate again, but I will use trip Central as Sandra is an amazing contact, she made us feel absolutely taken care of!

Not a 4 ⭐️

We didn’t check in until 1230am. The front desk did get us to our room quickly, and gave us a map. The part they didn’t do was explain where anything was or how to get there. In the morning and the rest of our time we had to figure it out as we went. I found the resort misleading as it stated around 600 rooms. I had no idea it was attached to other resorts which made it like 1200 rooms. Resort was clean, lots of stairs and distance to things. Room was ok, a bit tired looking. No lightbulbs i [... read more]n half the lights. The ceiling in our bathroom was bulging above the toilet and water was constantly coming down. They attempted to fix, but it still was leaking. Food was good, bartenders awesome as well as the cleaning staff. I would rate this place only as a 3 star.

Average resort

Resort is part of lifestyle group and location is nice however rooms and amenities are old and substandard, there was no hot water. Also being on a hill it could be a problem for seniors and disabled people walking up and down the steps. there is a shuttle available from 6 am to 11 pm. I did like their gym facilities. Worse thing I found was they wanted $21 US for safety deposit box/locker in the room, it should be part of all inclusive, also internet was limited to an hour a day which I did n [... read more]ot care but some people may have to pay for internet use over an hour. Beach was not as good, very filthy and it get deep very quickly, need to be careful with kids.

Very dated, nothing worked, customer service bad

Grounds are nice, most staff are nice. We moved rooms after the first day due to having to walk up over 3 flights of stairs, 2nd room no stairs, but the room was dirty, no hot water for 2 weeks, shower did not work, numerous problems with doors. Tried contacting customer service at hotel, what a joke, different answer every time, told someone would fix the problem. Tripcentral should make it clear that the fridge will only have ,2 beers and 2 pop, it is not included in all inclusive. Nice Resort

The overall resort was nice, some areas need some work, signs of wear and tear. The food was great for adults, wish more options for kids at buffet like French fries, hot dogs, etc. The room/building needed alot of work, front door didnt close properly unless slammed, if door wasnt not locked it would open by itself, closet doors wouldnt close. Patio door wouldnt open on track properly from right side. Mold visible in the artwork and lamp shades. Lighting switches would not properly, sometimes [... read more] not at all. No dresser had to use ironing board to organize clothes. Bed and pillows hard. NO HOT WATER NOT EVEN WARM.

Mediocre resort

staff was pleasant ,food was good. Way to much stairs not good for elders or disability, very hard beds, no hot water entire week, very outdated and dirty/unkept rooms. Very unclear where activities were as they never say the locations. Very little entertainment or activities for kids including meals.

Confresi Palm Beach

Food was amazing, rooms were outdated no dressers or shelf’s to put cloths, beds were hard and pills lumpy. I could live with those things but there was NO HOT water the whole 7 days it was freezing!! Our group had young children that would scream when they had to showers!

Wired things to see ever in any resort

We just came back from our March break vacation, from the reviews I read before going I was ready for it. When you arrive the check in takes time because you have to sign for papers about what’s included in your room(spoons,cups,etc..) and if you lose the room card or the bracelet you pay $200(american) each and you rent the safe for $20 for the week (first time ever to pay for the safe). Internet is $45 per week per person (you have one hour free everyday per person, very slow connection)th [... read more]e only resort I saw you have to pay for internet) I didn’t buy it. We asked for 2 rooms connected, we were surprised 😲 when we arrived they don’t have connected rooms, rooms are clean but very old needs TLC,you can’t control the AC temperature, cause there’s no remote control, there’s no hot water in the shower(just worm water). The first day they fill the mini fridge with water and 2 drinks and then They refill the mini fridge with 2 bottles of water only every day 😲 The food is good and tasty,drinks are just okay, you have 3 à la carte restaurant, there was a huge line up for reservation 😒. They have VIP membership sales will ask to take you for a tour, don’t go it’s waste of time, it’s scam, it’s the first resort I feel like they only cares about VIP members, even I emailed them many times before I go to confirm about the connected rooms(I have 2 kids) and some questions they never replied to me. The beach is beautiful, they have variety of swimming pools. There’s no coffee machine anywhere except in the main bar even in the buffet, so every time you want to drink latte or espresso you have to go to one place, if it’s open😒. In our last day, we checked out at 11:30 am and the bus came at 6:00 pm, we put our luggages at the reception they kept it in a locked room, we spent our day and then you go to the reception they give you a room to take shower and change.

No bad

The resort is huge didn't get around to see everything. There are a lot of stairs and levels. The food was fantastic, but really hard to get reservations at the restaurants. The rooms are small and out dated. Only cold water for showers which was difficult to enjoy. The entertainment ends really early and you have to take a shuttle to go see the shows in the evening. The resort is dead quiet by 10:30.

Don't waist your money

The hotel looks nice until you take a closer look. My husband and I have been to many different resorts in the Dominican and have never had any problems BUT this resort..... to start it took over an hour to check in. Also... 1. The pools were pealing, the water was very cold and there was a lot of stuff/dirt floating on the surface. There were not enough umbrellas or chairs at the pools. 2. The water system was much to be desired. We had a trickle of water in our shower. My husband had to put [... read more] water from the sink in the ice bucket and pour it over me to have a shower and vice versa. After complaining 4 times about the shower (and them coming 4 times to try and fix it) we finally had pressure for two normal showers at the end of our vacation. Water was a big complaint of everyone we talked to. Some only had cold water. 3. Nine of us went down to this resort and only two didn't get sick. Some had diarrhea and some were throwing up. My husband and I had food poisoning two days before we went home. We had the same thing for lunch and ended up throwing up and diarrhea before supper which continued most of the night. I still have a sensitive stomach two days after getting home. 4. Like most resorts we have been to in the Dominican you do not drink the water from the taps in your room.The problem with this resort was there were ONLY two bottles of water a day in the rooms. By the time we made coffee and my husband filled his cpap machine there was no water for brushing teeth or taking pills or to drink. The two bottles are replaced each day but you only ever had two bottles. If you used one only one would be replaced. 5. The resort had a septic problem. You could smell sewage all around the resort. All toilet paper was to be put in the open garbage can beside the toilet and not in the toilet, not just in your own bathroom but the public bathrooms as well. Very unsanitary!!! 6. This is a very large resort with a lot of stairs. They wash the walkway and the stairs but it can get slippery on the stairs and we saw someone slip on the stairs one morning. This was supposed to be a 4 star resort but I would have a hard time giving it a one star. If it wasn't for the awesome staff, it wouldn't have a star rating at all. I think tripcentral needs to look more deeply into the resorts they recommend. We are very disappointed with this resort.
