Absolutely huge resort with a jungle feel

Loved how the grounds make you feel like you are in the jungle without all the bugs. A variety of animals and birds roam freely around the resort. Keep an eye on your food as the Coti (sp) are opportunistic and will snatch your food. The beach is nice and I had fun body surfing the waves. It was sometimes difficult to find beach chairs and if you want a bed by the pool or beach get up early as many people drop their towels and stuff and go for breakfast. Stunning Resort!!

What can I say about the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar.... Amazing!! From the time we arrived, we were in awe of the fabulous resort grounds. Walking through a jungle like setting to get to the beach/pool was awesome. So beautiful and so many critters to observe. Flamingos, coatis, iguanas and too many birds to mention. Seeing the amount of "green areas" and being able to appreciate the nature in the resort was exactly what we love in vacationing. The room was clean and the fact that the resort is so environmentally friendly was comforting. Glass water bottles in each room with a refill station in the hallways was great. Food was excellent. Never had a bad meal and there was so many choices. Staff were very friendly and took the time to chat with you. Overall we would highly recommend this resort and hope to return one day!

Absolutely Fabulous Resort

We stayed 9 days at the Del Mar this time. (2nd year in a row to this resort). The staff are ALL amazing. The grounds are immaculate....not one blade of grass out of place. It is so clean because the workers are always on top of everything. The shows were also fantastic. The dancers and singers work so hard to perfect each show. Finally, the food was delicious. Ate at the Japanese a la carte twice. All around good time at this resort

Absolutely Amazing

The resort was amazing. The rooms, the food, the entertainment, the grounds, the services, the pools, the beach...absolutely no complaints. Will return in 2021. We have already recommended it to friends and colleagues.

Fantastic resort

This is one of the best resorts we've been to. Every thing is so clean, the grounds and the rooms. The room smelled so nice after it was cleaned. We love that they are into recycling. All the staff are extra friendly. The management personal were always checking on everything. The food was extra special. We like to see the Staff sitting down at meal time and eating, laughing and just talking to the guests.

Would do it again!

This was our second stay at the Iberostar Paraíso del Mar, And once again, it exceeded our expectations. The food has so much variety and is always delicious, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Service is also amazing. The only negative thing we noticed this time versus the first time, was there were less drink servers around the pool. But a little walking never hurt anyone and it isn’t a reason to complain. Absolutely one of our favourite places to be and reconnect.

Another great vacation

We have stayed at the Iberostar Del Mar numerous times, in fact - we got married there a couple of years ago. Less than 1/2 hour drive from the Cancun airport, which is nice after a flight. Fabulous staff, excellent service and beautiful grounds. The beach is beautiful and plenty of shade options if you cannot tolerate all the sun! :) Looking forward to another return to the hotel. Fantastic Resort

Everything was amazing! Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There grounds were well kept and beautiful! They offered plenty activities within the resort. It's like it's own little town. Very safe, and beautiful a wildlife in the resort

Best vacation by far

Wow. To start, there are so many misconceptions regarding Mexico and travelling as a tourist. We stayed at the Iberostar ParaiÅ›o Del Mar in the Riviera Maya for one week October 28th to the 4th 2019 We’ve been travelling to the tropics since the early 2000’s and by far this resort and country have far exceeded our expectations. With its grand size we were thankful for the shuttle service and 24hr service available. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, friendly and genuine. Front desk staff is incredible - Eduardo is a huge asset to their team and has only been with this hotel for a short time. Nurture his growth in this industry. He has a gift. (Shout out to Fatima who has worked at this resort for 18yrs) - the animation team was engaging and inclusive and brought everyone together. There are so many lounge chairs, sun and shade spots, lots of covered beds. The food was the best we’ve ever had, lots of options and quality was great. Family trip

Beautiful hotel, amazing pool and beach, nice star prestige amenities, some of the rooms ere looking old and tired . Mexican restaurant is the best , I would avoid the others . Great bar and restaurant staff including the housekeeping .

Very nice resort

Overall very nice resort , amazing service at star prestige bar in the lounge as well as the beach . Very good breakfast and excellent lunch buffet , good Japanese and excellent Mexican restaurant, avoid all others for dinner . Beware of the some of the restaurant managers try to push for cheaper wine when you ask for star prestige wine list and selection.Kudos to the housekeeping staff as well as the bell boys and golf cart shuttle staff around the resort .

Amazing time!! loved every minute!!

Right from the start of looking at this resort on Tripadvisor I had contacted Nicolle Kirk ( who by the way was amazing to deal with - highly recommend her ) She took me thru the process and made it ever so easy. This was our very first all inclusive resort. It superseded all of our expectations!! We had went with friends and they are well travelled. Between the two buffets there was lots of choices and the a la carts - delicious. The fridge in the room was stocked daily, and the rooms were very clean. There is lots of choice where you would like to spend your day beach which includes options for shade and sun as well as hammocks. The pool goes on forever. Definitely lots of room and there is even a quiet section!! I had been expecting line up and no chairs wherever I went but this was not the case. I was blown away with the cleanliness of the whole resort. I would definitely recommend this resort. As for ourselves we will definitely be rebooking if the opportunity arises.

Iberostar

Pros: Beautiful grounds, room was clean, staff were welcoming and always willing to help. Pool area always had available chairs. Entertainment was good. Cons: Like many other "all inclusive" hotels the food was mediocre at best. There were options for vegetarians/vegans however when the concierge assured me that the "a la carte" restaurant had "options" she essentially meant that all of them had the typical "salad bar". Trust me when I say that vegetarians/vegans get tired pretty quick of th [... read more]e "salad bar". Mixed drinks were pre-made blends mixed with alcohol which is done for speed and convenience (I understand that). Tour company for excursions were over priced. With the knowledge of the price of gas, the cost of food and of wages...a 200 USD excursion for one person seemed a bit exorbitant. Will be returning to Mexico again to explore other areas.

Amazing resort

Loved the resort , very clean, nice staff, entertaining at the beach and pool was awesome. Food was very good , really like the French restaurant and steak house, and rock cafe. Lots of walking depending where you are in the resort but there is small golf cart to bring you where you want. Would recommend.

Incredible resort vacation

The resort was everything we could have wished for. The staff friendly and helpful and always ready to go the extra mile. The setting beautiful and lush. The food was delicious and great variety. Everything was so clean, the rooms, pool, dining areas, walkways. We would certainly visit again!

Great time

We had a great time at this resort. The pool is huge. During our stay a section of the pool was under repair so one pool bar and the waterfall part were not operating. There was still plenty of pool and another pool bar open. It was a bit of a hike to the one open pool bar and it was March break so the timing wasn’t ideal for repairs. We were only able to book one specialty restaurant out of the three we were supposed to get at a time that worked for our toddler. (Before 8:00pm). I recommend making your reservations right away at check in which is a bit of a pain as you have to sit with staff after a long day of travel and they try to sell you on club memberships, day trips and such. Overall a good experience and we had lots of fun.

Amazing Resort

Exceptionally clean resort. The staff are responsive and courteous. We had a great time. It is a large resort so doesn't seem crowded at all. The excursions that are available provide something for everyone. I will gladly return.

Amazing resort

Fabulous resort, grounds were gorgeous and very well maintained, staff were always friendly, helpful and hard working, the food in the buffets was good- lots of selection, we really enjoyed the a la carte options with the Japanese being our favourite- a fun interactive show with amazing food!! Loved his place

This is a beautiful resort. Great pools, lovely grounds, super clean rooms and friendly staff. We had no issues with the water served with meals, frozen drinks or fresh fruit and salad bar items. I would highly recommend Iberostar Paraiso to anyone looking to travel to the Mayan Riviera. Also a bonus that it is so close to the airport.
