Amazing resort!

We had a fantastic family vacation here (ages 3-60). Hotel was clean. Food was great. Staff was AMAZING! The beach was clean and we had no problems finding lounge chairs. The shows were great. Amazing performers. Would definitely come back to this resort.

Iberostar Selection Varadero

The hotel was great, Beth is a very professional, She always was on top to resolve every single issue and concern, The only problem was with the mediterranean restaurant, Their food is not clean, I found a small piece of Stainless Steel Scouring Pad in my Pasta

Paradise

This hotel was just perfect. It is a small, quiet resort and the staff get to know you personally. The animation team and entertainment were excellent and engaging (but not pushy if you wanted to be left to your own). The pool is wonderful for lazing about and enjoying a drink or two. There is a small second pool for water polo or laps; something for everyone! The beach is pristine white sand with crystal clear water. You can wade out for about 30 meters and is only about 1.5 meters deep.  [... read more]All sand and no weeds in the water! There were plenty of chairs at the pools and the beach and lots of areas of shade. This is our third trip to Varadero, and by far our most enjoyable!

Good resort

Grounds maintained very well, but several ornamental ponds attract mosquitoes. Our room was very clean. Food was very good, but flies were everywhere in restaurants. Night entertainment was OK, but not excellent. Best night show by far was the one called something like Stone Rock. For the other shows, the singers group was better. The dancers were good mainly in the shows/parts of it for children such as Lion King version. We liked that there is a Disco each night starting at 11 pm. It would b [... read more]e even better to start at 10:30 pm, easier to leave early and to wake up next morning. People employed by the resort are friendly. This is also valid for most of the people at the restaurants and bars. Best part of the resort is the beach and especially the sea water: water is crystal clear, warm, with shallow entry.

Fantastic Resort

We loved this resort!!! The food & staff were fantastic we would recommend it The customer service was exceptional, cleaning staff were great Always friendly and helpful anywhere in the resort always a smile We will go back in the near future

Absolutely phenomenal vacation!

This was our second stay at Iberostar Varadero. It was exceptional! Staff is wonderful, very friendly, and extremely helpful. Our room was incredible, very close to everything. Our chambermaid was absolutely stellar, she took requests and made my kids swans (since she knew how much they loved birds). Even the gardener made my son a bird out of leaves. The pools were amazing, the beach exceptional. We've been to Cuba many times and this resort is by far our favourite. Additionally, my spouse and  [... read more]I are vegan/plant based and our children vegetarian and we were amazed by how much selection we had at every meal. I'm even allergic to wheat and I still never had the same meal twice. We frequented the buffet most, but only because my son loved the pizza (and even the chef would prepare a pizza for him and bring it to our table). We cannot speak highly enough about this resort. If you're looking for a great, family friendly, quiet and yet also spacious resort with lots to explore and a gorgeous beach to boot, this is the one! We also loved the resort cats, our vacation 'pets'. Fabrizio was very well fed during our stay and even followed us to our room every night. AMAZING RESORT

Everything about this place was spectacular, i absolutely loved it and for sure i will be going back. Everything is clean the rooms are big and beautiful, the food was excellent with lots of different choices. The people are the best always ready to help with anything and everything the very best thing about this place is the beach and the set up they have down there, it was awesome.... like I said 100% i am going back I would go every year if I could!!!

Awesome Resort

Everything we expected and more. It was our families (girls 13 & 15) first trip to Cuba. The resort was great. Very well maintained. We stayed in building 15 on the top floor. You couldn't ask for better staff. Our cleaning lady, Marilla (sorry if not correctly spelled) was the sweetest lady and made us feel like very special guests. We spent most of our time at the pool and the pool bar staff were great, especially Alex. We spent a lot of time with Vector doing rifle shooting, archery and playing darts, mini gold or pingpong. He aways made sure to include our teenage daughters. I have a gluten and diary allergy and everyone was very accommodating, especially at the Japanese restaurant. We loved the resort and we would definitely go back.

A wonderful resort!

The staff are among the best of any place we've ever been. The beach is perfect & the staff help you to get chairs. First class entertainment- especially Rick & Roll night! Buffets were nicely presented although Cuban resort food tends to be a bit bland for our taste. Definitely a recommended destination*****

Nice resort, great staff, quieter resort

Although this hotel is in an area with many resorts, it felt quiet private (there was a park across the street) and had a great beach. The resort itself is well laid out (as long as you didn't mind a bit of walking), with the restaurants. pools and entertainment in one area and rooms in another (allowing for quiet sleeps). It appears the hotel is doing some upgrades as we had 2 rooms, one with a recently renovated bathroom, one with older bathroom. The rooms are very spacious but would benefit [... read more] from more storage for clothes (ie there weren't any drawers). The beach and landscapes were beautifully maintained and all staff were very friendly. Food was as expected for Cuba, but well cooked (there was personalized pasta and meat stations for every dinner). We went in prime March break and enjoyed the fact that it was quiet and seemed to have primarily older couples and young families (ie less partiers). There are activities available for the energetic folks. Overall, a good option for people wanting relaxing vacation with nice beach and facilities.

Overall Fantastic!

The highlights were the beach and water that stayed shallow quite far, as well as the catamaran trip to snorkeling right off the beach. The grounds were very well kept, although not quite as fancy as 5 stars elsewhere, which goes for the lobby area as well. Our room in building 17 was probably one of the best, with an ocean view. Nighttime entertainment was excellent. Some so-so aspects were the food, which was great for variety, but lacking in flavour. The exception was the Cuba Day lunch  [... read more]buffet which served authentic Cuban food and was absolutely delicious. Anything beef was not a forte, but chicken dishes were excellent. Needing improvement, in our view, was the service at buffet restaurants and lobby and nighttime bars. Service was slow, and there did not seem to be very many servers working given the number of people to be served. Another area needing improvement is the courtesy room one can use once checked out. An exhaust fan in the room is badly needed because it quickly turns into a steamy sauna if you shower in it. The airport at departure was a crowded chaotic disorganized mess, but nothing can be done about that! The transat rep who was present did not seem to know any more than us about which lines to wait in etc...

Best Resort we've been to in Cuba!

We've been to several resorts in Cuba at various locations and this one is the best we have been to in all aspects: food (great selection, lots of fresh fish, veg & fruit), warm and friendly service, and a beautiful well-kept property. We had been here a few years ago it it was fine but they did a sprucing up and now it is even better. The staff are all excellent and attentive. Too few people take a break form the beach to see the real Cuba. It's fine to vacate you hotel room for one or more nights to do a side trip, Just let staff know and they will keep an eye on your room. Cuba is very safe!

Best Resort In Cuba!!!!!!!

Everything about this resort was first class. The food was amazing (better than home). Tons of variety (steak, chicken, fish, pork). Iris was the best Cuban sandwich maker in the world. Very lovely lady! The rooms were immaculate, clean, large. Housekeeping came by TWICE a day to clean!! Grounds were beautiful. Groundskeeper was so friendly. Always giving gifts to people. Great Family Vacation

We had a fantastic time in Veradera. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Our only issue was that we came home with bites. We are not sure if they came from the sand or the mattresses. Food was okay and the night time entertainment was amazing.

Amazing resort and amazing staff

We had been at this resort 7 years ago and everything is the same only better in that there have been some improvements with the physical appearance of the buildings. The staff is what really makes this resort a top notch resort!

Paradise

6th trip to Iberostar Varadero and is just as beautiful as the first time. The food is great as is the beach and pools. I love this place and look forward to going back for our 7th trip. I love lberostar Varadero so much to do there and any children there seem to love it. I see them on stage before the entertainment all having so much time. Hopefully l can bring my grandchildren some day. Also very romantic for couples. Sisters Diane and Donna from Hamilton Ontario.

Very nice resort with great beach

simple resort with nice pool and great beach; ocean front. Rooms were up to date; not modern but nice and clean. grounds were neat and well taken care of as was lobby area and restaurants. staff were very pleasant and outgoing; easy to talk with and always saying hello and trying to assist.

Amazing stay at Iberostar Varadero!

Hotel was very clean. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The beach is absolutely gorgeous!!! Lots of chairs and umbrellas for shade both at the beach and the pool. Pool was a lot of fun too and great for kids. The whole hotel was really well set up for families. We want to go back to this resort!

Great fun

We both enjoyed the hotel! There were lots of activities to keep my 13 year old busy. The beach was stunning and the food quite good, especially the 6-course tasting menu! The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, especially since my son has food allergies. Everything was SEAMLESS!

Will be back!!

This was our first time to Cuba and wasn't disappointed. The resort was a perfect size. You were close to everything no matter which building you were in. The grounds and rooms were clean and well maintained. There was always chairs available around the pool. Each day there were activities going on. The food was good and the outdoor lunch was a nice change from the buffet. Our group was 17 including children and we never had trouble finding a table for us all. Will definitely be returning!!
