Amazing time with friends!

Amazing resort. Lots of food choices & restaurants. Close to airport about 30 mins. Fantastic Beach for swimming and walking. Always able to find a seat. Yummy drinks. Pools where very clean and spacious.

The best Resort Ever

This resort and It's staff exceeded our expectations. We have never felt so welcomed and comfortable at a resort. It was very clean and the staff always had smiles on their faces and said hello everytime we walked by them or was at any of the bar or food facilities. I would recommend this resort to all my friends and family. We will definately be returning to this resort.

Fantastic

First of all the staff was very nice and helpfull....the grounds ,the pool, were very clean and enjoyable to use ...the maids on our floor were just great and seen to be happy when we spoke to them and very appreciated our friendlyness.

Amazing experience in paradise!

Majestic Colonial did not disappoint in any way. Food was fantastic across the board. The resort grounds were always clean, staff was friendly, and our butler Darel was especially helpful. Evening entertainment was enjoyable, and if you're a beach person, the beach area was top notch.

Beautiful resort

We enjoyed a week at the Majestic Colonial in January, staying in the Colonial Club side. This resort was recommended our Tripcentral agent Karol Chareza, and we are glad that he suggested this as an option for us! Oversll, we had great experience and the resort did not disappoint. We loved the property and the staff at the hotel, we found the service was excellent. We ate most meals at the beach restaurant and loved the open air setting and the gorgeous views. We will return, but may co [... read more]nsider also considering booking at the Majestic Elegance property next door. It was ‘next level’ and had a quieter vibe, which appealed to us.

A really fantastic trip

The pool area is different, but really liked it, with it spanning from the ocean inward. The food was better than good and bordering on fantastic! The rooms are “tired”, but clean, and they are due to start renovations in the fall of 2025, and once that is done, this will be the most amazing resort. Guest services were extremely helpful, and bending over back wards to correct what ever issue arose with the room (initially air conditioner not working properly, and then it made noise), but they [... read more] fixed it, and tried to compensate us anyway they could. Staff are extremely kind and friendly. Some really struggle with English, but always make themselves understood, and when needed found someone who spoke well.

Feels so cozy...

Majestic Colonial feels like a real vacation... Resort and staff make for a very relaxing and comfortable stay... Beach is beautiful... Food/Restaurant selection is great... Relaxing home away from home...

Will Definitely Visit Again!

Thank you Karol Chareza from tripcentral for recommending this resort. We visited this resort just a week ago and can't wait to go back ..My husband and I travelled with another couple and had a fabulous time .Can not complain about anything. We stayed at Colonial Adult only and highly recommend it..Marlbin was our butler, ask for him if you go. He met us everyday to see what we needed. Greeted us every morning with "Hola , Good Morning" by Whats Ap. He organized a romantic dinner on the beach f [... read more]or us as we were celebrating our anniversary and our friends birthday. When we arrived back to our rooms from the beach to get ready for dinner ,he had our rooms decorated with balloons , banners, rose pedals in the jacuzzi all set with bubbles. The dinner was at an extra cost but well worth the experience. We were fortunate to get reservations in the restaurants and enjoyed every meal. Grounds are immaculate. Our room with jacuzzi was perfect. View of the pool and ocean, great size balcony. All the staff we came across were very hard working , polite and ready to meet your needs. From bartenders to waitstaff to housekeeping and the gardener who had a smile for us every morning. We will be back, Everything was EXCELENTE!!!!!

Great resort

The hotel is beautiful lush gardens with beautiful pools and beach. The food was really good and a lot of options.arw favorite was the steakhouse. The rooms are nice and spacious could use some updates. Service was ok some of the workers could be better for sure. Over all it's a nice resort

Wonderful resort

Grounds are beautiful,the food was outstanding and gorgeous beaches.Rooms were nice and beds very comfortable and always clean.Staff were very friendly Our Butler Edwin did a wonderful job with all our request and always answered the messages we sent him soon after.Would come looking for us on the beach if he couldn't reach us by messages

Just what we were looking for

Excellent staff, and the grounds were immaculate. Entertainment was available but we never attended, fine with us. Grounds very large and easy to walk. Honestly we were looking for quite time away and this place delivered.

Amazing resort

I can’t say enough about the friendly staff. Staff was excellent. Had an amazing oceanfront room. Grounds were immaculate and beach was beautiful. Many restaurants and bars to choose from. Would definitely recommend.

Great resort

The Majestic Colonial is a great resort with an excellent beach. The rooms are a bit dated, but this is secondary. Friendly staff and great services overall. The Club upgrade is quite worth it as you get a bit more services and access to the Club lounge.

Return Trip

Positives: grounds well maintained, beautiful beach no seaweed, food generally good, great butler in adult section. Improvement: common problem of keeping food hot at the buffets, guests leaving a towel or book on a lounge chair or bali bed and disappearing for hours, in fact could use more lounge chairs (thought early April would be less busy but resort seemed full).

Good Resort But

This is a very good resort but it could be better. The worst part was the check-in on the Club side. We arrived a little after 3:00 PM when the rooms should have been ready (and they probably were). Unfortunately the hotel had only one person on the check-in computer; he was overwhelmed and our check-in took over an hour. Interestingly, the non Club check-in was empty. Should be an easy fix. The maids were awesome but some start very early in the morning and they like talking loud amongst  [... read more]themselves ... they were our alarm clock at 6:30 AM. Easy fix again. Finally, for those that have gone to the Dominican before, you know that DR staff are not always the friendliest in comparison with other southern destinations. This was a topic of conversation I heard a number of times at the resort and on the way back. We also noticed that there was less tipping than normal (we came back with half the USD tipping money we went with). There is probably a reason for this. Again this is simply a case of the management talking to the staff and telling them they are missing out. As I said at the beginning, it is a very good resort: good rooms, superb beach, nice pools, terrific food, lots to do and some nice special touches. I think it will be back to Mexico next time.

Great Resort

We were at the resort from the 9 to 17 April 2024. Went with family and friends and stayed at the Colonial Club. Ages ranged from 30 to 76. Overall the the resort is very nice. The room was nice bed was comfortable. If i had a complaint about the room it would be the TV. Not the best picture and limited English stations. But I didn't go there to watch TV. Our Butler was Javier, he did every thing we asked of him. Our AC stopped working at 9 pm we texted him and he had someone come down right awa [... read more]y. The food at the Buffet was very good there was something for everyone. When we went to Buffet our server was Tomas. He made going to the Buffet so much fun. Always ensured there was a table for 7 ready when we got there. Steak House and Sea Food Restaurants were good. The staff made made you felt at home and all your requests were met. The Japanese was very good as always and entertaining. The French was a big let down. Had much higher expectations then what we got. Service was very slow and we left there Hungry. The Lounge by our room was awesome very nice touch. It was like a continental buffet all day. Went to the French for lunch which was for the Colonial Club the staff there were very nice and accommodating especially Alfredo and all of them. The Beach was very nice, no seaweed which was nice. We spent all our time at the Adults only pool so we didn't see what they had for entertainment at the other Pools. When we left they allowed us to stay in our rooms until 2 pm as we weren't leaving until 5.

Wonderful resort. Second time staying there.

Beautiful grounds - well maintained Spacious rooms, but do not like the open bathroom set-up. Prefer a closed wall and door for privacy Every part of resort kept clean and tidy, especially washrooms Butler was very friendly and helpful Always seem to be issues with other guests placing items on Bali beds and chairs to claim them and do not use them for hours. Is there any solution? Unfair to other guests

Beautiful Resort!

This resorts grounds are beautiful and immaculate. The staff were very helpful and always smiling. Our room had a beautiful view and the restaurants were great. The main buffet was the best we have been to in the Caribbean. The Gourmet and Steak House meals were delicious and the service at all restaurants was second to none. So glad Martine Reid at Trip Central recommended it to us!

Beautiful resort

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colonial Majestic Resort. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds so manicured and lush. We absolutely loved the large pool and would do the full length every morning just to start our day, it would take us an hour and a half or so, floating and wading all around. My husband walked the beach after this, then we would meet up and go to the adult pool where we would meet up with so many friendly people. We were very comfortable and the room service was very good. We enjoyed eating at the buffet, as there were so many choices, and there were theme night such as seafood night, continental night, Mexican/ Dominican night and we got to try so many different foods. There were American style foods, Asian style foods(sushi) Italian pastas, pizza etc. The food was very good and great variety and quality. The buffet down by the beach was very good for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner it became a steak restaurant in one half and a seafood restaurant in the other half. The beach was wonderful and there was always lounge chairs available throughout the whole resort. It is a wonderful resort and we are thinking of returning in the fall with our family. Loved every minute!

Good resort

Beautiful resort but limited restaurant choices- beach gorgeous- pools awesome but unfortunately young college kids came in on the Friday and ruined the peace and quiet til we left on Monday- they were also destructive and out of control so security should have been monitoring halls from midnight to morning- very sad and frustrating for an adult section!!!’
