A place worth considering for vacation!

The Bahia Principe lobby is breath-taking. The staff are friendly and are always available to assist you. The grounds are immaculate. Staff are always working to ensure the parameters are clean and maintained. The buffets provided more food than I expected it would be. This was my first time at Bahia Principe and it won't be my last.

Great resort!

Resort was absolutely beautiful and well-kept (especially given its large size!). Many options for food, and good food at that! Staff are friendly, entertainment was good, 10/10 recommend this place

Not impressed

The hotel itself was beautiful and it was surrounded by gorgeous landscaping and an amazing ocean and beach. The food at the buffet was not bad and had Jamaican food options which was appreciated but nothing outstanding. I stayed in a premium room and all rooms on that side had a foul odour of sewage and was constant. The smell would not go away. My tv didn’t work I called down for repair and no one ever came. My son peed on our bed sheets while being changed and when we left and came back w [... read more]e noticed the bed was spread with the same Sheet as it was wet in the same spot. Overall def not returning, based off that smell alone

Very dissapointed

Beach, pool and common areas are very nice. Clean and well maintained. Would have preferred a bar or servers to go around more often Food ... it was bad. Too salty - even in the specialty restaurants. Also, need more aircon/fans in restaurants. So hot that we had to cut short on one of our dinners. 2 or 3 times, we were told that they don't have our selection from the menu. Not happy with the service either. Especially at bars and at some egg stations for breakfast. Room was adequate. Air con [... read more] works perfectly and everything was clean. There was a broken chair and the safe was not working but it was fixed right away. Note that there is only one outlet near the bed and we needed two for our CPAP machines. On top of that, on one night, there was no electricity for more than 1.5 hours, meaning our machines could not functioned at all. There was a party going on past 1 am, right under my room.

Fair and budget friendly

The hote offers various options for swimming and family activities. Service in the restaurants is not consistent and can be improved. Sadly for one of the nights we had to leave a specialty dining due to cockroach on table . The restaurant staff never followed through. We had to do our own customer advocacy for the experience by requesting to eat at the Brazilian The other disappointment was the poor service from the onsite WestJet rep at the resort. Grand resort

This resort is ginormous, make sure if you're for the day on the beach, don't forget anything otherwise it'll take you 20 mins to go back to your room, that's how big this resort is ....we loved it!!!

Amazing Resort

What a Gem of a Resort. The entrance of the Resort is like Royalty. Food was great especially the Buffet Restaurants, so many food choices, great entertainment, the grounds very clean and well kept not a piece of garbage to be seen anywhere. Very pleasant and respectful staff. My only two suggestions is that the rooms are lovely but needs a little tender care especially the tiles in the bathroom, shower doors and the area that is designated for smoking should be moved elsewhere. Nice resort.

Resort is well kept with minor repairs required. Upgraded rooms are very nice. Beach on the Grand side is lovely and clear but dont expect soft sand. Food is FANTASTIC !! Drinks are okay .. no premium included ? Check in was very unorganized. Great for families!

Feels like second home

We absolutely love this resort! We’ve been here about 10 times in the last 6 years. It’s awesome for kids as well. Lots to do and really good food selection. Entertainment could be a bit better for kids-thats probably the only negative thing I have to say. Smoked chicken is amazing. Beach is a little rocky but in the ocean is amazing. Staff is outstanding and treat us great because we’ve been there so much

Loved it

I hadn't been in an all inclusive in a long while...25 years. I truly enjoyed it! Loved it! The hotel was great, food was amazing, pool and beach absolutely beautiful, entertainment wonderful...I needed this get away to relax and I did.

Amazing resorT

It was a great time. Food was amazing and the staff was great. Very clean resort.The entertainers were amazing would recommend it for sure.the beaches were nice in some areas. The water was so clear and warm.

Had such a wonderful time at this resort. Staff was super friendly and kept the place spotless. Food was superb and excellent atmosphere. Shout out to the entertainment staff!!! Will go back for sure!

Gran Bahia was grand!

Girls' group trip to celebrate a 40th birthday. The hotel is well laid out and very modern. Clean rooms restocked daily! Beautiful beach and lush landscape. Excellent food: numerous choices and delicious!

Nice resort

Very large resort. Check-in was poor, given bracelet and no info about resort or map to know where to go. (Thanks to a friend who arrived earlier was able to find where things were). Bracelet didn’t work had to go back to reception for a new one. Room was good, clean but the safe didn’t work went back to reception three times to had it looked at, was never fixed during my stay (stored wallet and passport in my friend’s room). Also coffee maker was broken again went back three times and never g [... read more]ot fixed.(my friend and I switch coffee makers as she doesn’t drink Coffee). The food was amazing at the buffets. At the a la carts food was good but nothing fabulous, buffets were better. Spa was fantastic, staff were amazing worth every penny.

Exceeded my Expectations

After our disastrous vacation last March Break (not booked through Trip Central), this vacation exceeded our expectations. I’ve stayed at Bahia Principes elsewhere but this particular resort was exceptional. All staff are friendly, approachable, and can clearly communicate with all guests. The sense my husband and I got was they truly care about customer service and make you feel very important. The entire resort was beyond clean….you could eat off the floors. Food staff (particularly in the buf [... read more]fet) exercised good food handling protocols. The guest service staff took their time in ensuring all our devices were connected to their wifi and just as much time with us booking our a la cartes. This is definitely a repeat vacation for us!

Nice resort, great staff

We were at the BP Grand Jamaica for 14 days at the end of February in building 21 with an Oceanview room on the 5th floor. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and they put a banner on our door, gave us a bottle of champagne and chocolates.The room was great, with a king bed and excellent housekeeping. The poolside entertainment was amazing - loved the foam parties, aqua fit, games and challenges - shout out to Dericia for his energetic dance moves. The Orquidea buffet restaurant was disappointing, dark and very noisy like a cafeteria - we always took our food to the deck area for some solitude. We ate at the lovely Round Island for breakfast and lunch: unfortunately it was not open for dinner - however it is open from 11:00pm to 5:00am for late night party goers. The Bob Marley show was good but should have had more of his hits.

Beautiful resort

This resort is very nice. There is a few things that need repair, but mostly it is beautiful. The staff is great and always willing to lend a hand. It is a big resort and there is a lot of walking. Thank goodness there are elevators so that you don't always have to climb the stairs.

Pleasantly Surprised

After booking this hotel I must admit over the weeks following some reviews had me very worried. However we did not experience any serious issues and minor inconveniences were rectified immediately. Our room was clean, fridge stocked and accessible to all amenities. Our only complaints were that you had to be very “pro active “ to get a lounger either at the pool or the beach and we felt the food services could be improved upon.

Fantastic

Very relaxing, well kept resort. Staff was extremely friendly. Be sure to check out the shops on top of the kids club/The knife restaurant. Great deals! Would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great vacation!

Fantastic resort

The hotel and grounds are kept very clean. Rooms are a good size, we had a king size bed and lounge area. Noise was minimal. No sound from adjoining rooms . Sometimes we could here a door closing in the corridor. The food was great. The Chef cooked fresh fish and meats at the buffet which were delicious. The buffet food was not always hot but really, it's a buffet! Lots of choices. We had freshly cooked salmon, swordfish and steak for lunch most days.
