Very lovely resort...but

The reosrt was lovely but needs some renovations. Our room had a mold smell and the sofa bed was broken. They did bring up cot and had the room cleaned throughly everyday. The amenities we great abd the staff was just wonderful.

Aug 27 to Sept 3rd Riu Vallarta 2018

Wonderful time here, great music, entertainment, food, specialty restaurants, all the workers and especially the entertainment team and wonderful bartenders. We asked to change our room from the 7th floor to 1st , with in 3 hrs we were changed, very good at the front desk listen to you when you need something. Would go back again , it was our 4th time there, K&Brizz

Plesantly surprised :)

This hotel ended up surprising me. The activities for the kids, nightly shows, clean pool, good food and great hospitality made the iffy reviews I read not mean anything. More importantly was all the help I received from my agent putting this trip together for our whole family (6 of us). Not an easy feat when you're dealing with a very particular client. Hats off to Trip central and Cindy!

High class resort

Everyone was absolutely terrific. They worked hard each and every day to give us a Fabulous and fun experience. The resort was clean and well looked after. A five star rated it indeed was. I wish there were more evident vegan options. Some vegetarian but difficult for a vegan to eat.

Great stay!

The place was beautiful and clean. There were no seaweeds at all on the warm beach. I love that it wasn't over populated. Even though it was a family resort, the noise level was nice as the adult pools were separate from the kids area. Really enjoyed a relaxing week!

Great vacation experience

Great service and a great entertainment program. I will try to come back with my entire family as soon as possible. All staff were extremely helpful and polite. I had a problem with the noise on my first night, then they moved me to another one without any additional questions asked.

Great vacation

Very clean well kept resort, beautiful grounds, pools and beach. Never overcrowded, no line ups in buffet. However downside was no reservations for alacarte restaurants, first come first serve therefore over an hour line up to get in. Lots of variety of food choices..good mixed drinks. Helpful and pleasant staff, always good supply of towels in room, good water pressure and always hot. All around probably best resort we have been to!

Beautiful resort

Hotel very nice. Evening shows were okay. Food was good but Buffett was the same at lunch and dinner and vaired very little. Outdoor restuarant needs upgrading and new buffet stands. Beds were not the most comfortable however rooms were very clean. Staff very helpful and very friendly.

Very nice,

this would be my least favorite riu resort that i have been to. Resort is nice,but needs a makeover and the new format for booking al a carte restaraunts is very dumb. Also they need more washrooms for the pool and beach area, currently there is only one for both pools and the beach. The food was good and the staff were very helpful . Overall , you cant go wrong with the riu resorts

Disappointing!

This was our first All Inclusive resort we had been to, after watching Rui’s video about the food, I was expecting the food to be better, but was very disappointed. The Ala Carte restaurants were slightly better. The rooms were nicely decorated and a good size, but the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. We will try an all inclusive again, but it will not be the Rui Vallarta!

Our Favourite

We have stayed at many resorts in Mexico ----over 20---- We like the Riu Vallarta a lot because of many things---probably the number one event that separates it from the other resorts is the Central Village concept that develops in the evening. The area consists of a large fountain---a fabulous square raised outdoor bar--the open air Entertainment area---access to a la carte restaurants and Huge Buffet all viewable from the 300 seat lobby bar. Beautiful hotel!

Everything was perfect! Food was very good Décoration in restaurants was amazing! Our room was very clean Thanks very much for amazing “ sculptures “ made by cleanings person! Whether wasn’t so good in January I understand that hotel is not responsible for it. The next time I take another month

Wonderful resort!

The hotel and its surroundings were above expectation. The room was specious, very clean, the food was amazing, so many choices, so many delicatessens, the service was very friendly everywhere. We enjoyed long walks on the beach, if not big waves in the ocean, I loved to swim. Every day was sunny and warm - what else to wish?

Great vacation

The room was beautiful (junior suite, ocean view). The food was really good, though a bit repetitive. It is a bit of a party resort - because it’s small, you can’t really get away from the loud crowds in the evening. The beach is nice, but very packed.

Super great stay

I have nothing bad to say. Good food, drinks. Super clean. What we enjoyed most was all the live bands they bring in. The evening entertainment is so fun. Only bad thing was family rooms next to ours so it could be noisy during the night and early morning. You can’t go wrong here

Beautiful beach & delicious food!!

This resort was overall a great place. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade. We had to switch because on the main level the room smelled very musky but when we went to the 4th floor all was good! There's wifi throughout the resort unless you're on a high floor. Food was amazing!!! The beach was breathtaking, but be careful because my friend stepped on a sting ray at night by accident and it cost her $400 for the medication to heal it. All around we had a great group vaca!

Our Second time!

Just as the title reads my boyfriend and I made our second trip to Riu Vallarta and loved every minute of it! From the grounds, the food, the pools and the most important part THE STAFF they are the most hardworking, humble and friendliest! I’ve never been the type of person to go back to the same resort twice but Riu Vallarta completely changed my mind. My boyfriend and I can’t wait to head back for trip #3!!

Great week at Riu Vallarta!

The grounds were in great shape. The food was very good! It was better than our last two stays. The entertainment staff did an awesome job! The resort was good and so was our room. I do wish that because this was our third stay there that we would not have had to use our Riu points to change rooms so that my sister and brother-in-law could be in the room beside us. I could also not negotiate with the front desk to keep our room for an additional 3 hours on the day we were leaving without paying  [... read more]$60.00 C$. We had an enjoyable 8 days. My one recommendation would be to keep the pool cleaner and replace all the missing tiles. Thank you for asking my input. Sincerely, Debby

Super fun in Vallarta

just returned from Riu Vallarta. we went as 3 generation family -me ,my 70 years old mother and my 2 children, both in their 20 and we had a fantastic time from beginning up to the very end. The workers go out of their way to make sure everyone has a enjoyable time. Beach clean daily ,pools few times a day. Bartenders greet you with smile tip or no tip.
