Had an Absolute Blast!

From the time we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. The grounds were well kept and the pools were the main attraction for ourselves, kids and grandkids. The meals stood out as some of the tastiest we’ve ever had. I would highly recommend the Majestic Elegance Resort!

Very nice resort

This is our 3rd time to this resort. We have stayed all 3 (Colonial, elegance and Mirage) all of them are very nice but of course elevate in price. The food was good and none of us had issues. We ate breakfast in the main buffet and lunch at the beach buffet. The beach as usual is fantastic and no or very little seaweed at this time of year (mid Dec.) Dissapointed

We arrived at Punta Cana Majestic Elegance Dec 3/2023 with WestJet Vacations for one week stay. It was no doubt the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in, and we travelled a lot last 30 + years to Caribbean for holidays. The good : Stunning design of the hotel and all its surroundings such as restaurants, gardens, pools , theater etc. Very friendly and attentive staff helping the best way they could. Great selection of food and beverages at both buffets. Italian a la carte restaurant  [... read more]was beyond disappointing regards the quality of the food, we simply walked out, since both lasagna and snapper dinner was horrific. Another a la carte we tried was Steak House, and their chef knew how to cook, both our steaks were excellent. Fast service at all the bars, but the best experience was at the bar in the main lobby between 3-11 pm with exceptional bartender named Gary, who really magnified our experience at this stunning facility. The bad : First morning after our arrival we simply forgot to place US $ 5 bill tip on the bed for our maid (and we tipped a lot during our stay) , and next day upon our arrival at 5 pm from the beach we discovered that our room was not attended, and we like to make a coffee in the morning , so just for that we contacted House Keeping to arrange cleaning of our room during our dinner time. They assured us, that this will be corrected promptly, but when we came back to our room around midnight, the room was still not touched. Then that very evening my wife could not find her jewelry pouch she forgot to unpack from suitcase and place in the safe. We did not contact security, since my wife was not 100% sure she put it in the luggage during packing at home, but after our arrival back home it was clear, that she did put the jewelry in luggage, since it was not at home. So theft by the hotel cleaning staff. Maybe because we forgot to tip first day? Our room (# 1418) was on the 4th floor and the elevator was working only sporadically, on and off almost every day. Poor guests with walking disabilities and parents with buggies for the kids. So much for the 5 stars hotel..... Spraying to keep mosquitoes down was happening around 5-6 pm, when guests had their patio doors wide open, kids walking around, simply unbelievable. This activity was conducted at other hotels we have been in the past only during early hours with no guest lurking around. Safety issue, big time. The beach is very narrow (hotel is built as a noodle coming from the waterfront) and with 595 rooms there was simply no room to accommodate those hotel guests, who like to spend time on the beach. Waterfront itself had very short distance to swim from the shore since it was cordoned off by the rope and speedings boats were running all day long just past this area. Water was always very rough, so small kids had no chance to even enter the water. Theater's sound man clearly had no idea how to mix the sound properly, so professional entertainers were often not heard or barely. Such a shame for this beautiful place to watch evening shows... We are sure lot of guests are coming back for one reason or the other, but for us, this would be just too many dislikes for our vacation time. It is all only our own opinion, but hopefully it will help someone to make a wise choice how to spend time and money best possible way to enjoy the deserved time off work.

Beautiful resort

The hotel was beautiful. Rooms were well laid out, plenty of drawers and closet space, beds were comfortable, and it was well equipped with iron, hair blower and magnifying mirror. Plenty of restaurant choices, gluten free options for those that require it. The beach is lovely and for those that like to walk there is a long expanse to walk along. Service was quite good but there is a lot of walking in this resort.

Real Majestic

Let me pointed first that this review applies mostly for Elegance Club Adult only packages. Regular packages does not have these perks so take it under consideration when choosing package. Resort itself is "a magic" - it was designed with a mind that rain in tropical is regular event and normally you need umbrella(and preferable huge one) but not for this resort - it is designed in the way that walking from any room in any building to practically all restaurants and buffets as well as to night  [... read more]show hall and disco club you can travel under the cover so no umbrella needed(only Argentinian Stakehouse and See and Sea restaurants require short walk not covered by the roofed path (Stake house is about 25-30M and S&S is little more- about 50m from nearby covered path) Food variety is big enough - so I think that everyone can find not only something to eat but something which you really like and prefer to eat. Entertainment at night: Shows are similar to most of hotels in Punta Cana area so nothing special but still enjoyable especially (because) drinks are served so you don't need to interrupt you relax time by staying in line at the bar(unless you want it :) ) - just sit , order and watch. Special kudos to Disco Club - most of the time you will hear word time hits not just domestic bachata or merengue (some DJ in other hotels just ignore the fact that resort's disco is for mostly North America and Europe tourist ). Also it is really air conditioned so you can enjoy dancing for long time). There is also sport bar which is really cool to watch any sport event in real time (opened from 2pm till 2am) - HUGE tv's , bar and games. Beach: While nearby Colonial hotel and most notable Royalton (Hadeout Adult only section ) suffered huge damage from recent hurricanes (never thought that it was possible but fact is that sea clamed these beaches and now these hotels have steep cliffs instead of smooth beach) this hotel wasn't damaged and beach is perfect as well as entry to the sea - no rocks or underwater grass) And what I mostly like about this beach is Bali beds - only one caveat - there are not enough of them so you have to wake up very early in order to be able to enjoy them. After 9am they all gone regardless weather (unless rain is pouring all day and morning). Service: VERY, VERY good. Attentive, polite and trying hard to make you vacation "wrinkle free". Huge kudos to our battler Olbis - if you get him consider yourself lucky (if not ask for him) - practically all your wishes, desires and request will come trough - just ask. Girls at the beach bar Angelina and Maxima will serve you right "into the bed" (but don't forget to tip of course) - so there no point to go and get drinks by yourself - lay down and relax. This is was my third time at this hotel and I tell you definitely not last.

Majestic and elegant indeed!

The Majestic Elegance lived up to its name. The property is grand, the gardens and grounds beautiful kept. The beach is extensive and spacious. Service in the restaurants went beyond expectations, especially in the speciality ones. Service was top notch. The staff was cheerful and upbeat, while being respectful and professional. The rooms very spacious. The bathrooms a bit different design to North American design. Shower stall is separate, toilet area is separate, and sinks and vanity, along a [... read more] wall of the bedroom. In-room jacuzzi. Thanks to trip central travel agent Karol Chareza for recommendations, and his efforts for saving and redeeming our vacation plans, involving cancelled Air Canada Vacation flights.

Majestic Elegance June 2023

Beauiful grounds, excellent service. Algea started in June however. Hotel closing for renovations of the air conditioning the bathrooms and orher amenties that are due. Hotel on the older side but still very clean. Pools are huge. Wonderful week.

Awesome resort!

Japanese, sea and see, and Italian restaurants for dinner were all great! just the buffet that wasn’t amazing, but still had lots of options. Front desk wasn’t very friendly, but all other workers were great especially our butler Gabriel. Shows at night were good. Lots of other things to do such as escape room, sports bar, shops, etc.

Great family resort

Rooms are showing their age but grounds and public areas are beautiful and well maintained. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food was varied and quite good. Beach was clean but large waves so not so good for small children. Would recommend.

Beautiful resort!

Everything was kept clean. Beaches were cleared of the sargassum weeds on a daily basis. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very good.Our butler Henry was helpful and pretty quick to respond.We did not do any excursions. Chose just to enjoy the resort.

Loved our visit!

Our first time at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana, but we met many people who were returning for their 2nd, 5th or 8th time!!! The resort is immaculate. Our room was spacious and the King size bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the rain shower with the back massage. :-) Need one at home now. The staff were all amazing! They made everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. The restaurants were good. Our favorites were the Sea n Sea , great Surf and Turf. Wish we tried it earlier in the week so we could go back a second time. The buffet had a great variety of dishes to choose at Breakfast and Dinner. The Italian, great atmosphere and really enjoyed our appetizers. We really enjoyed our Sunwing Excursion with Bavaro Runners Safari. Carlos and the driver gave us an excellent tour of Punta Cana, We visited a tobacco farm, and enjoyed lots of tasting after the cigar demos. We tried Pineapple wine, Mamajuana, and cigars if you chose. At Maria's house, we visited her amazing property tried her coffee, chocolate etc and had a delicious lunch. Lots of opportunity to buy her organic cocoa, honey, vanilla and more. We were picked up from our hotel at 7:30 am and back at 3:30. Perfect day. Great experience.

A wonderful vacation

We had a great vacation. Decor around the whole resort very nice, clean and grounds beautiful. Room where great we had a small issue with know hot water but went to hotel front desk and it was taken care of right away and no further issue. Staff was very friendly and always a hello when you passed them. Food was great, restaurant were good, but the issue about wearing long pants is silly as some ladies were not dressed I felt well enough but a guy could not go in in dress shorts and a golf shir [... read more]t. Spa was great too. Entertainment staff very friendly and always interacting with guest. I would highly recommend this resort. Would go back for sure

Wonderful resort

Great resort for the price point. The staff at Majestic Elegange is a significant factor for our continued return. Our butler Juan is outstanding and always attentive to our needs. Shout out to the great service from Maxima, Santa and Angelina...not to mention the club attendants Ernesto, Walliam and Miguel. The piano bar and lounge bar were our favorite with Manolo, Roberto, Manuel and Gary serving up the greatest and most unique cocktails. Great staff and hotel but bad food

Hotel rooms and amenities are great Staff especially our butler Santiago were exceptional But the food was cold undercooked veggies and tasteless . Steak was tough for filet .One bad experience (not the hotels fault) was the catamaran company on the beach we used called marinana group .It was old ,had no flush toilets,running water and music so loud my ears rang for day ! The staff on board were good but poorly maintained boat

Like going Home..again.

This was our FIFTH week with the Majestics.(Feb28 to Mar 7) We stayed in a swim up room on the family side, directly across from the swim up pool bar. The room is pretty much the same as it was before, but in good shape considering it is around 15 years old. We heard that some renos and updates are planned for later this summer. From check in to check out we were treated great by all staff. With very few exceptions everyone we encountered was clearly happy with their work, smiling and joking and eager to make us feel welcome. That is the prime reason we are repeat visitors to Majestic.and this being our 30th Caribbean Vacation. .Food, and drinks were very good, and with enough options, there was always something to enjoy and even at non club level, top shelf liquor (imports) were available. To make things even more enjoyable we had perfect weather the whole week, Hot and Sunny. The only damper on the trip was the Air Canada rep assigned to the Majestic Elegance. Our Welcome booklet advised to attend the briefing on first morning but she was not easy to find (not in lobby as stated) and would not advise time for departure shuttle until day before departure. Even then I had to track her down. NOT the Hotel's fault in any way. As for the Majestic, Will we make it a Sixth Visit ?? Very Likely..

Majestic Elegance club Feb 22-March 1st, 2023

This was our 5th time back, but the first since Covid, and it didn’t disappoint. It was as Majestic as we had remembered, and we had a fabulous week of fun in the sun. From beautiful beaches, lots of great restaurants, to dancing at night in the courtyard under the stars, it was everything we had been missing, and dreaming of. We were in the club [... read more] section of the Elegance, and want to give a shout out to Our butler, Santiago who made it his mission to find us everyday, and to take care of our every need. Also want to acknowledge Yanibel for her excellent service in the courtyard in the evenings. Her warm welcoming smile, and pleasant conversations made our evenings that much more enjoyable. Yulanni from the entertainment team serves high praise for her constant presence, friendly greetings, and friendly smiles. Our room attendant, Tannis was amazing, and our room, and fridge were kept top notch. This hotel is a true 5 star, and we left with a suitcase full of happy memories which we will treasure until the next time.

Nice resort

This was our 2nd time at this resort. Went in 2022 and 2023. We did see a decline in a number of services such as food prep, room cleanliness, entertainment. Wait staff at the pool and lobby bar were excellent. A la cart restaurants were good except fir the Sea to Sea. Claudia at the Spa was excellent.

Great week

We stayed a week at the Elegance Club and thoroughly enjoyed it. This resort is extremely clean and immaculately groomed. All staff were so friendly and always seemed to have a smile. You can eat at most a la cart without a reso without much trouble getting a seat. There are two restaurants that you do need resos for. We ate at the buffet only for breakfast and the food was great. Missed out on the champagne and beach bag promises, but he booked our restaurants. Rooms were extremely clean with fresh towels every day

Elegance amazing!

Resort is beautiful. We stayed in the adults only section, so we had a butler (Juan) who was amazing. Staff are friendly and customer service oriented. A la carte dinners were also wonderful. It was the right sized resort for our family.

Great Resort!

Resort was great! A la carte restaurants were great. Food at these restaurants tasted awesome. Buffet food was cold, unless you got homade omelets, pasta or crepes. Our butler Juan was awesome. He was always eager to help.
