Iberostar Resort - Great Half Moon configeration

This resort had a great layout of Buildings with Lazy River and Swim up Bar in the centre. Everything was close to Sandy Beach. Great view from Balcony to see the Ocean. Easy access to all restaurants. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Beautiful Resort

Our family went here for a destination wedding and it was amazing. Hats off to Simone and Catherine who did an absolutely fantastic job. The resort is beautiful, lots to do, amazing pools and oceanfront for snorkelling. The rooms above average. The buffets were great. The a al carte dinners are not so amazing but highly recommend the Italian. You could eat there every night. Karol thanks for arranging. Pineapple you make the resort - your energy and zest for life is contagious.

Amazing Resort

The resort was beautiful. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Everyone was super friendly. The Chefs were very accommodating with my food restrictions. It was a great venue for my sister’s wedding. Fun was had by everyone of all ages.

Outstanding resort.

Unbelievably well managed resort. Superbly clean in all respects -- beach cleaned of seaweed and debris every morning! -- grounds manicured. Outstanding service personnel --especially "PINEAPPLE".. You never have to ask for a drink or anything--staff continuously ask if you need anything without any intrusion. Food is excellent except Oriental restaurant which is more like a cafeteria and inconsistent with other excellent restaurants. Great overall resort!

This place was recommended to us as a nice medium sized resort for a large family of 10 adults and 8 kids ranging from 2-15 years old. I think everyone was generally happy. A couple of hiccups in the beginning with front desk not seeing our reservation of 18 in the system, but they figured it out and made it work. The entertainment was pretty good as well,..hit and miss depending on the night. Some resorts have major pros and cons, just as great beach but poor food, or great waterpark, but terrible beach. I think this place is not too flashy but it's good in pretty much all aspects.

A great Trip

The trip was wonderful, and so was the resort. It was clean, people were very friendly, and engaging. The only issue was during check-in, when the hotel said they did not have our reservation, but the kind people at the front desk said it was "no problem" and to go have some lunch, and they will sort it all out, which they did.

Fantasic stay

Every thing was fantastic. The resort is beautiful and kept very clean in every possible way. Staff is cautious, well mannered and willing to help. Cleaning service did a amazing job of cleaning our room everyday and leaving gifts in our room. Entertainment is very friendly and put their 100%. Staff round the pool and on the beach were serving the guests. Beach was kept very clean. Christmas decoration and gala was outstanding

Great Family Vacation at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites

My husband and I and two kids, aged 16 and 19, stayed here in early May. Location is great, very close to the airport. The weather was great except for a few major downfalls, which were over fairly quickly. I didn't notice any bugs, which was fantastic! The property is very, very clean and well looked after. We asked for adjoining rooms through our travel agent at Trip Central, and by calling the resort directly. Our kids were given a room a few doors down from us and happily our keys could open their door. Free Wi-Fi throughout the resort meant we were always able to keep tabs on them, unless the Wi-Fi cut out, which it did from time to time. Our rooms were 4422 and 4419. They had great views of the resort, pool and ocean, and so quiet! We thought the rooms were lovely, spacious and spotless. Bed linens were very nice but the pillows were hard. Our bed in 4422 was HUGE. Our room came with robes, which were heavenly! My daughter called down to order up a few for their room. The kids also ordered room service every night. I think they got a big kick out of that. They loved the mozza sticks, which always arrived steaming hot with a spicy gravy and ketchup! The food at the buffet was great. I loved the crepes with real whipped cream and fruit every morning! It would have been nice to have had a mimosa station as I have seen in other resorts. Mimosas took forever to be delivered, which was disappointing. We were all in love with The Coffee Shop. The kids were in heaven. Some of their favorites were chai latte, peach lemonade iced tea, caramel Frappuccino, and my son adored the white chocolate Frappuccino with no coffee, always served with lots of whipped cream! Hubby and I loved our daily cappuccinos. My whole family agreed that the Steak House restaurant was fantastic! Steaks were tender and so flavorful! Beach lunch was great! Gourmet Restaurant was great, the calamari was amazing with candied slivered onions hidden underneath. Total yum! The steak was good, but not as good as at the Steakhouse. The Mediterranean Restaurant was not the best, with poor service and almost inedible mains- my cannelloni was so hard I could only eat part of the middle. It was also disappointing that they did not seem busy and yet the wine was not served until the end of the first course. On a positive note, the apps, which were serve-yourself, were pretty good and the dessert we chose, crème brûlée, although not a true crème brûlée, was delish with a sugary coconut cookie underneath. The pool was fun, and we never had to wait more than a minute to be served by the awesome bar staff at the swim up pool bar. We loved the ping-pong tables and giant connect four game beside the pool. The kids also joined in on some fun games of water polo in the activity pool. The lazy river was pretty but very, very lazy. Lol. Entertainment was great and not in your face, more low key than at other resorts I have been to, and yet fun. Water aerobics actually gave a bit of a workout, which was nice. The infinity pool was beautiful attached to the beach, which was clean, lovely, and very calm. We took out kayaks one day- FUN! My husband and son did a bit of sailing as well, which they loved! Night time entertainment was hit or miss. I did not enjoy the newlywed game. It seemed a bit silly. The Beyoncé show was incredible. We really liked going to the music bar at night. It was fancy and cozy with pool tables and foosball. The manager and some of the entertainment crew would challenge my son to games. This was one of the little extra touches that made the vacay that much more special. The karaoke selection was very limited, which was a bit of a disappointment. Iberostar, you need to work on that. :) If you decide to visit the spa, or gym you won't be disappointed. I had the best hot stone massage of my entire life there. Charmaine was so very sweet and very skilled at working out my knots. My daughter had Carmen, who was wonderful as well. Take advantage of the offerings while you are there, go in the pools, the sauna, and then to the juice bar, which is fabulous! The juice they make is so fresh, exotic and healthy! All in all, we had an unforgettable, stress-free vacation in a beautiful setting with people who want you to be happy. Well done, Iberostar.

Beyond amazing

We had a great time in Jamaica. It all started when we arrived at the Iberostar Suites after a long day of traveling to be told that we had been upgraded to the Iberostar Grand. From there everything was perfect the room, the food, the staff, the amenities everything was great. We are looking forward to go back for our next vacation.

Great for small children

This was our second stay at the suites. Food and beach are wonderful. The staff bent over backwards to assist and look after you. Don't waste your time with the VIP/timeshare tour. It was a waste of 90 minutes and at the end we cold not understand what we would get for our $30,000 expenditure.

Better Than Expected!!

I am always a bit hesitant about all inclusive resorts during peak March Break season, but I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to Iberostar. Check in was quick and easy, staff was friendly, chairs around the pool and on the beach were plentiful. Food was repetitive but decent. I would not say it was outstanding, but was good for all inclusive and buffet styles. The Asian restaurant was horrible and really needs to be improved. But Italian was decent. Only issue was the lack of avail [... read more]ability and difficulty booking dinner reservations in a la carte restaurants. We were told they were full, but then noticed so many empty seats. Kind of felt like they had a limit and then pushed the rest of the guests to the large buffet dinner. Room was small and needs an upgrade ... their ocean view required me cranking my neck around a wall and then I could see ocean. But I was barely in the room so not that big a deal. But was clean and bath products were fine. Fridge was restocked with fresh water bottles daily so liked that service. I did not like how the concierge was fully pressuring us into signing up for time share meetings or whatever they were selling. It was completely annoying that in order to book dinner reservations I had to sit through her sales pitch and upgrade offers that would cost me more money. I get that is her job and she was lovely and a nice person, but totally takes away from the relaxing vacation vibe. Drink Service around Pool and Beach was slow and intermittent. They need way more staff. One drink would take 20 minutes to arrive. There is no food menu around the pool. That needs to be added. They have a buffet on the beach a couple times a week, but really need snacks and food around pool. Would make for much better experience. But staff was really nice. Place was clean. Lots of chairs by the pool and beach and thankfully no annoying chair hog guests!! So overall was much better than I expected for a last minute March Break Trip.

Amazing Resort

Excellent resort! I would not hesitate to recommend this resort. Lots of activities to participate in. The daily beach bbq was a nice surprise. The people were so accommodating & amazing. I can’t wait to go back!

Amazing resort

Honestly a fantastic vacay. We were 2 couples in our 50’s who are young at heart. We came down to escape the cold, long Canadian winter. We were all very happy with the resort. We all had only 1 complaint. That is the lack of an outside bar in the evenings. When escaping the northern winter the last thing we want to do is sit inside. 3 Times a Charm

Seeing my old friend Eric Mclean from Eric’s Chillout Tours (876-790-3154) at the airport meant I was home again in Jamaica. Eric gives me and my wife a Red Stripe beer and on the road we go to the Iberostar in Montego Bay. Eric has been picking us up and taking us on excursions for more then 10 years. We got smiles and drinks from a receptionist. My friend at the desk was Oralando who remembered us from last year. Then out comes the Desk Manager Andrae who got us the same room as last year. I like the room, with a big tub, double sinks, king size bed and full fridge. The view is as I remembered, beautiful. I had coffee and Bailys on the balcony ever day. When we checked into the room they gave us matching T-Shirts for returning. We also had a bottle of Premium Canadian Whiskey from a departing Manager Jonay, thanks. His replacement Andrew was so much like Jonay, work, work work. In our second week they gave us 2 more T shirts with my nickname Rasta Man on it. WOW. It was the windiest I ever saw. We where on the beach about 4 out of 14 days. The weather was very good. We found a nice spot with shade. I had fun everyday talking to the lifeguards Dick, Bruce, Norris, Youan and Sanjay. The resort no longer uses plastic straws for the ecology (which I support). They had paper straws that I did not like. We got 2 plastic straws (I can’t say from where) that we used for 2 weeks. We then made sure to dispose of them properly. Bring a couple of straws. We had great drinks every night. The staff like Christopher 1 and 2, Radane “Jellybean”, Glenroy, Shanike, Jules, Leighton, Melissa, Doreen (the hardest working waitress on the island), and Nicole made it fun. There one supervisor Kerry worked so hard picking up glasses, getting drinks and smiling. I told him he was the hardest working supervisor on the island. We got dressed up and ate at the buffet every night. I like sitting outside, hearing the ocean, seeing the palm trees. When we would go in, we would see the food presented like no where else. The islands best Chef’s Patrick, Isaiah and Jermaine would have the islands best food. I like shrimp, lobster, crab legs split, we had it all. We had lunch at the steakhouse because of how open it was. The cheese burgers we had could not be beaten. The service by, Alecia, Nadine, Clifford, Brandese, Renae, Gavin was top notch. The entertainment team was also very good with OMG, Peaches, Suzie, Carlos and Ki Ki. They talked to us every day on the beach. We came to relax and they understood why we played no games. The live music (from 7:30 to 9:30) in the coffee bar was good. They did not have entertainment all nights. The property was spotless and always being cleaned with workers likes Orlando who never stopped working or smiling. The beach was kept cleaned and raked every day. I had a lot of fun with the valets everyday. When my buddy Dale the valet came back from vacation we laughed and hugged like bros. I go to Jamaica because of the music and the people. We left the resort in the day time a few times and did not feel threatened. We met many who travelled like before, going to swim with dolfins, Rick’s Café, Dunn’s Falls and so on. Fabulous Resort for a Vacation

We loved this resort and look forward to being able to return some day. It's grounds, food, and staff are nothing but spectacular. The pool and beach staff were exceptional. They were very friendly and took time to get to know each and every one of us in our group. The rooms were spacious, clean and nightly turn down was icing on the cake after a great day on the beach.

Fantastic holiday! Great resort!

We travelled with a large group of family and friends and everyone had a fantastic trip! Rooms were spacious and really clean (which we appreciated). The buffet food was great- my favourite was the salmon! We ate at a number of the a la cartels and were happy with all of them. We have to give a big shout out to the activity staff who made sure we always had something to do - adults and teens all had a huge amount of fun. Phenomenal Resort

This was by far the best resort ever!!! The staff knew all of our names in 1 day and never messed up there were 29 of us, loved all staff, friendly,helpful, rooms were spectacular,grounds amazing food top notch, this is a fantastic resort. Would go there again and again, you will not be disappointed in fact you will want to rebook..I give this a 5 ***** +++++

Beautiful Resort

The hotel was very nice and rooms were good as well. The only issue we had is the that food could be hotter at the buffet. Overall that is the only issue we had while being there for 10 days. The grounds are nice and the people were very friendly.

Fantastic resort

We pick this hotel that was recommended by Kevin Dupuis our agent, he was really helpful, he booked the resort and made reservation to our hotel for an overnight stay in Toronto. The resort was fantastic, great location, clean, wonderful staff and the food was amazing! There's activities for everyone, kids/teenagers. My teenagers 14 and 16 years old participated in the resort activities every day, we all had a great time.

Best resort!

We just returned from Iberostar Rose Hall suites and it was a fabulous hotel. We have been to dozens of resorts across the Caribbean and this resort is by far our favourite. Absolutely no complaints. The grounds were immaculate and clean. All the amenities were within a 5 minute walk from one another. We can't wait to return!
