Best Adults Only Resort

We just came back from the Ibersostar Grand last week, we went for our anniversary and can safely say this is the best adults only resort we have ever been to (we have travelled extensively to the Caribbean and Central America). I know our stay was going to be excellent when Felicia at the front desk upgraded us to an ocean view room upon request, thank you so much again. The room also came with butler service which we never experienced before, Romaine and Ronaldo made sure we were well looked after. Everyone on staff was always smiling and offering to help with any request we had any where on the resort we were. Thanks to Jodian for the cold drinks at the pool. This was totally a top notch resort, the buffet was the best selection we have ever seen and the a la carte restaurants was superb, top shelf liquor at all the bars, again best selection I have ever seen, Henessey, Grey Goose, high end brandy, you name it and it's there. They even provide free shuttles to duty free shopping in Rose Hall. The grounds was clean and well manicured, every day you could see the staff taking care of even the minor details. There was activities and sports every day around the pool beach area as well as live music and nightly entertainment. This is really a high end resort, I would say a bit higher that a 5 star, any one looking for a high end vacation, this is the place. We stayed Sept. 21st to 28th in room 6408. Thanks

Enjoy being spoiled!!!

Just got back from an eight day stay at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall and can't say enough about this amazing resort!!! The staff are outstanding and make you feel at home (it was so hard to leave) but definitely will be back. The hotel itself needs a little updating but it still has a very strong Caribbean feel (the red carpet in the hallways can go though). But it's quickly overlooked when you are poolside or on the beach being pampered with drinks!!! Aldain at the Pool Conceirge was always attentive to our needs at the pool waiting with fresh towels and a friendly smile! The entertainment team is above all else (and we have travelled to many resorts!) THEY ARE ALL SO TALENTED!!!! The food was exceptional and the variety allowed for everyone to enjoy!!! We are so happy to have gone and can't wait to return!!!!

A Grand Vacation

An excellent resort, very compact , well laid out. Amazing crystal clear ocean with a soft shallow beach about a kilometre long. The room is big and comfortable but the hallways need updating as the carpet is worn down and looks tired. The choice and variety of food is excellent throughout all the restaurants. Overall Iberostar Grand is a lovely resort, very clean, breathtaking views and with excellent supportive staff, but the resort is starting to look tired.

Nice quiet resort

If you are looking for a nice quiet vacation with great service and for the most part awesome food, this may be the place for you. GOOD: The grounds are clean and well kept, the staff are very attentive and friendly, The food is never bad ( but sometimes not very exciting either) The pool is very nice with different levels to look like a waterfall. NOT AS GOOD: it is a small resort with very little to do except sit by the pool or on the beach. Not much to do in the area as well, you cannot go outside the resort for a walk or to look at the area as it is right on the main Highway and the area really dosent have anything to walk to. I recommend you upgrade to an ocean front room, the veiw is really nice

GREAT RESORT

The resort was the best one we have ever been to. Service was amazing as was the top shelf drinks. The food was good as well and the fitness club was amazing. Many different exercise times and routines available most of the day.

Great vacation

The staff and service were excellent. Food was very good. The pools beach and the gardens were beautiful. Some areas of the resort could use some updating, furniture and carpeting worn out. Concierge was applying pressure for me to attend a special breakfast where I assumed some sort of sale was going to be promoted. First day we arrived we received at least 6 phone calls asking how things were going from butler and guest services. Amazing hotel - look after every need and polite

The food was excellent. The beach was beautiful. So were the rooms. They did a lot of little extras that we didn't expect. We have been there three times and would go again. Its our favorite place. The weather is always warm and sunny.

this resort is first class!!!!!!!! It has everything: close to the airport, great beach, endless and fun activities, lots of friendly and helpful staff and awesome food (not your typical buffet food) I cant think of anything we didn't like

Ya mon! No Problem!

This famous Jamaican expression best describes your vacation at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall. Nothing was ever a problem, in fact, "what more can we do for you", should be their slogan. One should have suspected that to be the case as soon as you stepped into the vast beautifully marbled lobby, and in the background hearing a pianist tickling the ivories while expertly delivering song after song. It all starts as soon as you are handed your room key and your "day butler" (there is also an aft [... read more]ernoon/evening butler) greets you with a smile, you quickly get used to, and says "what can I do for you to make your stay special". The three butlers we had (Kharsen, O'Neill & Duran) did exactly that..... Our room, was divided into 3 sections (a beautiful bathroom with a jet hot tub, a large sleeping area and a balcony with a sofa, table and swinging hammock style seat) overlooking the ocean with a view of the sunset. My wife has a number of allergies, the most difficult requiring a gluten-free diet. Even though she was careful the first evening, she did not feel well overnight. Our butler, Kharsen hearing of this sprung into action approaching one of the main chefs, Charley. Charley took it upon himself to make individual lunches for my wife each day, and then went out of his way to discuss my wife's gluten requirements with each of the a la carte evening restaurant main chefs, we had chosen for the remainder of our stay. Each night the main chef would approach our table and discuss directly with my wife what she would like, and how she/he would prepare the meal. Kharsen and O'Neill would stop by each shift to see if my wife required anything. Duran for our anniversary, arranged a romantic evening highlighted with rose petal hearts throughout our room. Lastly, worth mentioning is that Kharsen, even on his day off, called our room as we were packing to leave in a few hours, wished us a safe trip home and asked one last time if we needed anything. A big thank you to Cardella and Gesha for keeping our room clean and spotless each day. Cardella's smile and cheerful good morning was a great way to start the day. The only activity we participated in was the Aqua Fit class in the ocean and the Aqua stretch class in the pool. Richard or as he was better known "Adonis" or "Diesel", was a great instructor keeping the class progressing at the right pace with his great sense of humour and direction. After class, Keon, Sherika and Ricardo quenched our thirst with incredible drinks that seemed to get better each day. Lastly, I wanted to finish with a novelty......how many resorts offer all the sunscreen and tanning lotion you may require. This resort did. But they also added an interesting option, they offered the option to have one of their staff apply the lotion as well. Anishka, with one of the friendliest smiles you will ever see, was kind enough to apply the sunscreen upon request. Thanks to the "what more can we do for you attitude" of the Iberostar Staff, my wife and I will be returning next year, and we will gladly recommend this resort to anyone who asks.

Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Jamaica, is amazing! We just returned from a week's stay and can't say enough about this destination. From start to finish it was wonderful! The staff are incredible and so friendly. The food was delicious and accommodating (allergy). The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. You will not be disappointed!

First and foremost this hotel has the most INCREDIBLE employees. From the cleaning staff, to the chefs, to the landscapers, to the housekeepers., butlers.Everyone is happy, friendly and Sooo service oriented. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The hallways on the hotel room floors are in dire need of freshening up. The carpeting is torn,and has waves, the walls need painting and brightening up. The trip from the airport to this resort is short and easy. We were greeted at check in with warmth and very welcoming. We were even upgraded to an ocean view room by Barington who works at the front desk.We requested a quiet room prior to our arriving and they put us near the pool and the thump thump of the music. They felt bad ,so they moved us up to the 3rd floor with an ocean view. The only real complaint was the lack of umbrellas and covered space on the beach. In order to get a covered lounge chair on the beach, you need to be there at 7 AM. You must sit on your beach chair until at least 7.30 AM to claim it. Unfortunately, we did this one morning, went to breakfast, only to come back 1 hour later, our personal belongings( books) were removed and someone took our beach chairs. The staff said " we weren't there " so they took our stuff off and someone took our chairs. We then had a 1 hour run around to find our books. The beach towel hut person told us security had our things, and security said "they never get involved and the beach hut person had our stuff. Indeed, that's where it was. The solution to this problem would be to have 1) the butlers reserve chairs wherever their clients wanted to sit. This is done at some other resorts or2) Have more covered umbrellas on the beach. There are 2 covered areas on the beach and all chairs are taken. In between them is an uncovered section of about 40 chairs and only 3 chairs were taken. I don't think that makes sense. The butlers were amazing. They didn't annoy us nor did they ignore us. O'neill,Carson and Duran really work hard. They were always professional and wanted to help wherever they could. Our cleaning ladies were Soo special ( Cardella daytime and the evening lady, Kardesha?) Friendly, hard working and eager to please. The wait staff in all the restaurants were great, always smiling and worked hard to please. In conclusion, this vacation was relaxing and enjoyable. I think I would rate it a 4 star instead of a 5 star because of the poor quality of food and the renovations that are so desperately needed.

Best resort in Montego Bay!

Exceptional! in all the aspects. *Special Note 1: Alecia ("breakfast station") was flawless. She is very talented, gracious! She made perfect "sunny side-ups" and she was very supportive of the trainee person. She has a beautiful personality and a warm smile. *Special Note 2 - Kassandra ("bar on the beach") was also very helpful and pleasant, with a beautiful smile. Amazing Resort

Iberostar Grand Rose Hotel I would recommend this resort in Jamaica. We had excellent service from the front desk staff which were amazing to everyone else in the resort , doorman, Butler's, pool staff , restaurant staff etc. they made you feel welcome and couldn't do enough for you. I believe you get value in your dollar at this resort

Brilliant!

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights from January 1st, 2017 and we had a superb time. We took the room on the ocean front which was just awesome. Waking to the sound of the ocean was just surreal. The room was better than expected. Extremely comfortable jumbo sized bed was an added bonus. Better than our own. Do yourself a favour and get the ocean front room. Breakfast buffet was excellent, vast array of food on offer to satisfy all wants. Beautiful beach, warm water and fantastic snorkelling along a small reef just 30m off the beach to the right. Spectacular array of marine life without having to pay for a guided snorkelling tour. So cool. Beautiful pool area with infinity pools. We lived on the beach however. Super friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond for my wife's birthday. Very attentive but not over bearing. Late checkout until 3pm (complimentary) was great. We ended up paying $10 for an additional hour so we could leave the beach at 3.30pm, shower and meet the airport bus by 4.30pm. This place was so quiet (kid free) but still lots of fun if you want to engage in the activities during the day on the beach. We will be back. A great first experience of Jamaica.

Amazing Resort and service

Our vacation was amazing from the minute we arrived. So thrilled to have received an upgrade to an "ocean view room" for our anniversary week. The service was wonderful, the staff very friendly and the hotel and all amenities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. My husband really enjoyed his 2 golf games that were included. Definitely a 5 star resort.

Exceeded Expectations

Facilities, room, restaurants/food and staff were excellent. We have travelled to many all inclusives and believe this one is fabulous. Pool and beach area are lovely. The only negative was that I'm not sure the hotel has figured out the best system for making use of the butler service. They were always asking us if they could do anything but didn't offer to do something for us. For example, we made our own reservations at the restaurants simply because by the time the butler came around ,  [... read more]we had already done it. We also stumbled upon the wellness pool because friends had a massage and were informed about the pool at that time. The butler didn't mention this to us. I hope they sort this out because it was an outstanding vacation.

We recently stayed at this Resorted Dec 2016, we loved everything about it. The rooms were clean, the food was good, the Pools and beach was lovely too also the staff was very friendly and made your stay exciting. I would definitely go back.

Couldn't be better

This place is absolutely the best at everything. You never had to ask for anything they have it together at iberostar. Will not disappoint!!!Grounds and accomadations are immaculate .Can not wait to go back

Quiet resort

Resort is very clean and nice..our oceanview was obstructed by palm tree in front of balcony. I love Jamaica; the music, the food, the people ... all good. However, I found this resort lacking in outside patios; a place to enjoy drinks and music and socialize especially in the evening. The beach was ok. You really had to be careful entering or exiting the water as there were many rocks. It is conveniently located, not too far from airport. The pool was nice. The staff was very nice.
