Clean and tidy. Nice food and room, bad wine

The room was nice, the shower was very nice. The cacti gardens were tidy. The buffet was abundant, always something appealing to eat. Great breads! There is only one other restaurant and it required reservations for dinner and the food was totally unpredictable. Eg.a Caesar salad once was a 2 inch square of lettuce with croutons and chicken the next time it was 3 Romain leaves served whole. The wine wasn't drinkable, extremely bad. They didn't have decaf coffee, they brought a jar of Nescafe [... read more] with a spoon in it. No diet coke only diet Pepsi. The beach is unsafe so you can only swim in the pool. It changed recently to an adult only resort and there were quite a few rowdy drunken groups. They have a new all inclusive plus offer that created exclusive areas where regular guests couldn't go, effectively restricting them to fewer amenities.

Excellent

food and service were excellent. suggestion would be to have snacks in lobby bar/lounge as its much busier with adult only crowd.our first room the beds were too hard-had to move. overall we loved it again-3rd time- and are going back again.

Friendly Staff

Good value for the money. Nice pools, but water was a bit too warm. Beach was beautiful, but not swimmable. Preferred the buffet to the alacarte restaurant. Food quality was inconsistent in the alacarte. We had a room on the east wing of the hotel. LOTS of stairs and walking to get to different parts of the resort, even though it is a small resort. If you have any mobility challenges at all, you will need to request a room on the ground floor on the west side of the building. Our travel companio [... read more]ns moved because one of them found the stairs and long hallways too challenging. Once moved, it was quite manageable for them. Loved the friendly and helpful staff. Bus service to Jose de Cabo was quick and easy. All in all, we had a very pleasant vacation staying at the Decameron.

Pretty pleased...

Food was good and its nice that its fairly close to shopping and restaurants etc...Service is excellent and they are very quick to respond to requests. The only real complaint that we have is that the room cleaning was below par...

Great little gem

This hotel was everything we needed for our getaway with a few minor quibbles like paying for wifi and the safe in your room? Come on-it's 2017 and these should be considered hotel basics not additional charges! Otherwise charming older hotel that was small in size and had great staff,good service and options for food and booze that met our needs (except for the wine which was terrible!-I bought good stuff at the comer to sip on!).its a great location too..easy walk to San Jose. Sucks resort

Dirty hotel ran out food local drinks only poor service. Poor air line should not recomend this hotel to others lost my charger every one one my family got sick by the food I went to Mexico so many time never had a problem this was a bed experance

Royal Decameron resort Los Cabo's Mexico

It's a nice resort, it's smaller resort but nice none the less. The rooms are nice and the staff are very friendly. They grounds are kept clean regularly, they also have staff walk the grounds at night which made me feel safe.

Great time

Loved the hotel and staff. I think they should include the safe for free and internet. Pretty cheesy to have to pay 3$ a day for the safe in the room. Also 10$ a day for internet Otherwise great place !!

Relaxing

Small resort, beautiful location, friendly staff, very clean. Food was good but not a great variety and only 1 a la carte restaurant. Could not get hot fresh coffee until buffet opened. Periods of time where snacks were not available. Used to 24 hour all inclusive.

Really nice resort. Both my wife and I really enjoyed the size of the resort being quite small.

The resort was extremely clean, the food was great and the weather even better. The entertainment was surprisingly good. The only negative thing that I could say is we got a little board by weeks end but we should have done an excursion.

Had a great time! Small but cozy resort. Food was great. Buffet could be changed up more often and set up another a la carte restaurant but nothing major to mention - let's just say we did not loose any weight! Rooms were great! Lots of activities during the day and a short bus ride to town. Would highly recommend this resort!

Nice Resort

The resort was very clean and the rooms were comfortable. The food was decent - you won't go hungry, but the buffet isn't as expansive as some other resorts. Having to pay for the use of the safe and wifi in 2017 is pretty ridiculous. There were no timeshare sellers, which is so nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The entertainment was a mixed bag - some nights great and other nights less so. The resort could do a better job of posting daily activities, buffet theme for  [... read more]the week, etc. There was opportunity to engage guests more. For example, we were there during the Oscars - an Oscars viewing party would've been really easy to throw together. The check in process is really SLOW. The location is great. A short cab or 30 minute walk into the centre of the city. The beach is beautiful. No swimming, but there is a swimmable beach within walking distance - again, information the hotel could've provided. It was good value for money. We didn't pay a lot, so we can't expect the world.

Great small resort

Location was conveniently located close to towns and directly on the beach. Our room and public areas were spotless, the staff were friendly and food was fine. I would highly recommend to those that prefer small resorts, where everything is close and you want to get to know the staff and fellow travelers. The only drawback is the beach is not safe for swimming. Otherwise, I would give it a 10 out of 10.

First All Inclusive

Pro's: Service from wait staff, housekeeping, daily activity coordinators was great. The buffet food was awesome. Beach and pools were lovely. Small, adult orientated. Cons: The transat staff who cordinated tours couldn't be less helpful when both our tours were cancelled after we paid. No attempt to regain funds was established, they were unapologetic and seemed more than aware this was a likely possibility however never informed us. Great Place

Nice resort in a great location. Staff very friendly, very well kept grounds and a beautiful beach. Enough of a variety at the buffet to keep everyone happy and there's a restaurant by the pool/beach with a different menu every night (reservations required). Felt quite comfortable wandering around the town of San Jose da Cabo and walking on the beach. A ride on the local bus is well worth the $1 fare. Warm and cool water pools sharing a swim up bar. Fabulous resort

Enjoyed the stay for a second time. 3 years ago was amazing, my only complaint this trip was the entertainment staff, they were very friendly but not much going on. I think they can improve on different events to keep all entertained.

Perfect for adults over 40

Small 3 story resort, great roof top pool. Friendly staff, no line ups for drinks or chairs. Good food, close to the local town and Mega store. Clean rooms, great value for your money. The variation of food changes daily. Lots of activities if you're interested.

The best resort I have ever stayed in

This hotel was amazing! All the staff, including the ground keepers, take the time to say hello and ask how you are - incredible! The waiters / waitresses in the restaurants are attentive and so eager to make sure you have everything you need - (Special thanks to Solomon, Xochit, and Miguel -you made our stay extra special) I have to comment on Ali, she works with activities, she does a great job at engaging all the guests into extra activities, but leaves you alone if you have told her that  [... read more]you didn't want to participate. The resort is small so most of the guests get to know one another, which is so different than many other resorts. There will be people that will complain about many things - but those people will never find a resort that will satisfy them. I came home from our vacation on February 4, and immediately booked again for next year. See all my new friends soon.

Loved San Jose Del Cabo

Ok I love Mexico.. My favourite place to travel.. This place.. Location.. Grounds.. Size, drinks awesome... Food horrible for the most part... Yeah.. Cleaning of rooms left much to be desired..no attention given to mirrors.patio doors ..Nothing got moved from around the sink.. The majority of the staff was simply amazing... They are why people come to this place... Good location that you can go to nearby restaurants for meals! City

Very clean resort. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Infinity pool was excellent. Food was good and close to town. Being a smaller resort was nice,it was easy to find where everything was located
