An amazing exclusive resort with updated rooms. The food was a fantastic delicious variety. The grounds were immaculate with perfectly manicured beaches. We have been to Jamacia 12 times and would recommend RIU PALACE anytime. The staff are 5 star people. They not only look after you but get to know you. 💘

Outstanding Resort!!!

This resort was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and decorated beautifully, the food at the buffet and all of the restaurants was excellent and lastly the staff were helpful, fun and plentiful!! Wouldn't hesitate to go again!!

Simply Amazing !

This was the best experience in my life overall. The service from every angle possible was impeccable. There was not a day that went by that I wasn’t pleased by the treatment, the cleanliness of the resort, and the respect from everyone including guest. I’m currently looking at flights to go again to the palace by the end of the year.

Great quiet resort

Just arrived from an 8 day stay, great hotel, good food and extremely clean environment. Will keep this simple: Pros: very clean resort, good size rooms, good selection of food at the buffet, evening's restaurant were fantastic, lots of chairs at the pool and beach, fast WiFi throughout the resort, beautiful resort Negatives: evening entertainment was awful, no aquatic activities at this resort, you must go to the other Riu for these activities where the equipment was old, for whatever reas [... read more]on this all-inclusive 5 star resort will charge you $2 for a game of pool (how ridicule). In conclusion, this is a quiet beautiful resort offering quality food and service; I would not recommend this resort for singles or couples looking to party.

Great getaway!

Great food with lots of flavours at all the à la carte and the buffet. Very clean and service is outstanding. Everything is close within the resort and only a few minutes from airport. Very happy with our first trip to Jamaica! We will return to visit another part of the country.

Best Week EVER!`

Just came back from our fantastic trip to Jamaica! We stayed at the RIU Palace adult only resort and it was the best decision ever! This was a girls trip ( just the two of us ) looking for a week of relaxation and sun. We got a whole lot more! The hotel was amazing - super clean. Actually the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. Those 2 guys go above and beyond and deserve alot of credit! We miss their smiling faces and our morning seranades! LOL But the highlight of our trip was the AMAZING entertainment staff! Not only are they the elite at what they do, they are all the most kind hearted, sweet and kindest people I have ever met. I want to give a HUGE shout out to: Jo-Jo Dr Fun-Fun ( aka Shaggy LOL - get him to do a Shaggy song.. It's amazing not to mention is awesome laugh ) DJ Snake Kash CC Talawuh These people are the glue of that resort and can your week much more fun. Give them a chance to get to know you - they are amazing people with amazing stories. They love when you participate in the activities! The great place about RIU Palace is that if you want quiet there is another pool that is very low key for those who want to just chill and enjoy the fabulous cocktails. All in all I can't say enough about this place - It was just what the "dr" ordered for a girls getaway... It's a smaller resort which I liked - it made it more intimate and you got to know everyone and made lots of friends The only CON I guess for me was there wasn't much shopping.. I like resorts that have a few stores to shop around in the evening.. If you want to call that a CON One last thing - if you like long walks on the beach - this isn't the resort for that.. The beach is very small but super clean. FYI - their sister properties on either side of the RIU the Reggae and Montego Bay ( the beaches are small as well and not really well kept ) I give this place 5 out 5 stars! :)

Lovely

Everything was first class - the food was delicious - the grounds and all of the rooms were great!! Our only downfall is we couldn't get an ocean view room - the view from our room was not suitable to us - but we managed OK - we weren't in the room that much anyhow - but if we go back again - we would not go unless we had an ocean view room. The Jamaican people are so kind and very helpful - we had a great time!! Thanks for booking us!!

Fantastic resort

The entire resort was very quaint and relaxing. The food was excellent and all the staff was friendly. The resort was clean and tidy. The games were entertaining. Fun place to have a good time. Excellent variety of cocktails .

Spectacular!

The hotel was awesome. Clean, friendly staff, great food. The workers couldn't do enough for you. Beautiful setting. If you want to be spoiled and not have a care in the world, this is the place to be. I would give it a 10+.

Awesome Resort

Having read all the positive reviews about the Riu Palace Jamaica we had to check it out. The resort was absolutely amazing, the people so friendly, the service second to none and the food fantastic. The rooms and public washrooms were spotless and we had a wonderful time. It was everything and more than you could ask for. We only wish that the entertainment had stuck to the theme nights instead of changing part way through but this was minor and had no effect on the enjoyment of our trip. Amazing 5 star resort

Everything was perfect - the beach was 2 star compared to Cuba. Room very clean - services all 5 star. Can't go wrong as you can access the adjust hotels for free if you get bored. However no need as this hotel is far superior and you will not have to lineup. Can't go wrong - enjoy your vacation

Great Resort

Everyone was very helpful and extremely friendly. The weather was terrific. Great last minute trip. Booking was easy. There were no shortages of smiles. "Oscar" really stands out. Would highly recommend this resort to family and friends.

Lazy Vacation In The Sun

The Riu Palace Adults Only offers good value for the hard earned money you spendt on your vacation. The rooms are very clean, everything in it works, like plumbing (no plugged or slow draining drain), hot water (water is HOT), shower heads (not plugged by calcium) the bed is very comfortable and there are ample pillows available. The TV offers a many different channels and if you are into Soccer and Cricket you will never leave your room. Program wise there is something for everyone and channels [... read more] are available in most popular languages spoken in the Caribbean. The Hotel offers a wide variety of foods. Breakfast and Lunch, there is something for everyone. There are 5 different Restaurants open at night which offer Italian, Classical, Japanese, Steak House and Buffet Type meals. The Food is absolutely GREAT and TASTY. WARNING: bring dress pants, they won't let you in the Italian, Classical and Japanese establishments unless you wear dress-pants. Shorts are not allowed. I did NOT bring long pants, (for heavens sake am in Jamaica) and therefore did not visit the Classical and Japanese establishments. I did get to eat in the Italian Restaurant and the Osso Bucco was truly excellent. The bars, lobby bar, aqua bar and two pool bars where great. The Riu palace Hotel needs to be complimented in their decision to serve good and well known brands of liquor and liqueurs at their bars. But most of all, the employees made my stay a memorable one. I found the staff being very friendly and laughing comes east to them. I will be back, I had a very good time. Thank you.

Beautiful resort!

My husband and I stayed at the Rui palace for our honeymoon and we both loved it. Excellent service. Very clean. The beach was wonderful. One thing we didn't love was the constant music in the background.

Rui palace Montego Bay was amazing

Just got back from Riu Palace Montego Bay June 5 to the 12th The minute we walk in the staff were awesome very friendly. The hotel was beautiful the rooms were also good rooms very clean and big The food was very good The waitress and waiters were very nice always smiling and very helpful The grounds very clean and beautiful landscapes , loved the pools Definitely will go back

Terrific Resort, Friendly Staff, Great Food

This resort is very clean, rooms very nice. It is an adults only so quieter than the Rui next door (we stayed there last April). We travel a lot and have to say this resort is terrific. The staff are eager to help, super friendly, food is tasty and plentiful. No issues booking a la carts. Other reviews mentioned the construction noise next door which is done now/addition to the Rui Palace is now open. There was construction when we were there a few weeks ago but not worth mentioning. Amazing Vacation-staff top notch

We just returned from this resort Feb 18, 2016. We went with a group of six friends. We can't say enough about the friendly staff, superclean resort; and tasty food! Raquel and Nadie (aka Na-Na) were terrific along with all the other staff. The general manager was always around to address any issues but we could not find one!! Other reviews mentioned the noise of the construction but we could hardly hear it. Don't let that change your mind about going to this resort, it is fabulous!! Great Stay Loved the Riu Palace

My wife and I had an excellent week at the Riu Palace , everything was superb and met all our expectations. We both enjoyed all the amenities , service and staff were exceptional , food and beverages were wonderful. The Riu Palace Montego Bay just the right size not too big and all restaurants, pools and beach area were clean and well maintained. Our room was perfect as we paid the extra for Oceanfront which was a great decision as it had great views and was close to all facilities. Check in absolutely smooth , quick and refreshing Only cautionary information that I could supply is: a Garden view room would not be a good choice as Riu is building another set of buildings right next door and will be building another hotel complex beside that. Construction is basically 18 hours a day and with a Garden view room your balcony overlooks a major construction site . Other negative is my wife and I have been travelling to Jamaica for over 30 years and have gotten use to Jamaica time which is a little bit behind prompt Canadian time unfortunately that has changed at the Riu as we showed up late by 15 minutes for a a la carte dinner and found our table had been given away as were the 2 couples who showed up behind us. We were all scolded which didn't sit well and had to get the hotel manager involved to resolve which he did but could have been handled more professionally. No Problem Mon Overall rating: Absolute fantastic holiday, Great Facility, Great Location , Great Amenities and absolutely wonderful staff through out

Great vacation and already missing it

Few review points here: Property: very well maintained, rooms are clean and spacious. We loved the fact that we don't have to fight for chairs on the beach or by the pool. Everything is close, so no running back and forth between room, beach, pool, restaurants. We did venture to the next door as well, but just for walks and Jerk chicken. Most of time, we stayed on our side. Food:GREAT!!!! Loved the juice bar at breakfast. Jerk chicken hut next door IS THE BEST... we went over every day and pick [... read more]ed up two plates and came back and ate by the pool :) . All the a la carte restaurants are delicious, even the buffet was great (different themes for 3-4 nights per week). Even the 24 hour snack bar (Aqua bar) are fairly decent. Drink: I separated this item from food because I think it is worth mentioning. Drink selections are very good, you get premium drinks such as Martini's, premium rum (the $140/bottle one) , where we never got when travelled to DR last year. I am not a huge drinker, but they have a great variety of tasty cocktails Service: GREAT SERVICE... you always have drink/water in your hand. Staff are always greet you with a smile. I like it the room services are included 24/7. Beach: it is average beach as it is closed off. But the water is calm and warm, which was great for a late afternoon swim. Excursion: We went for a horse back riding tour...it was very interesting as it is not something we do here everyday, especially when we ride the horse and swim in the ocean. Overall it is a pleasant tour (guides are very nice). We also went for a shopping trip that cost US 25pp to go. This is the only thing I would not recommend. We went to 3 different designated gift shops which are all overpriced items. There is a mall across the road from hotel, which doesn't cost anything to walk over to check out.
