Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Nice resort

We were among the last vacationers leaving Cuba Feb 2026. We feel for all the employees there and hope we can go back next year. The Grand Aston has one of the nicest beaches we've ever seen. Everything at the hotel to the last corner was clean and updated. Landscaping is amazing. We had a garden view room, that's the least expensive we could get, since we don't spend much time in the room. The room was specious with a balcony, a comfortable bed and a huge shower. It was cleaned every day but [... read more] you don't get a restock on shampoo. We knew that and brought our own. Food was plenty and a good variety. We expected way less for Cuba. The advertised night entertainment was cancelled some nights due to fuel shortages, we think. But the hotel activities team did their best to fill in. The employees did an amazing job. Everyone to the cleaners and gardeners are friendly. The resort is only half an hour from the airport. Make sure you visit the light house area. We enjoyed the walk but you can also take a shuttle. We had some ice cream there and got some souvenirs. We were sad to see it underutilized.

Melia Costa Rey: Third time's a charm!

For our third time at this resort we upgraded to a Level room. The rooms are the same as the regular side, but we had no direct view of the ocean, so we petitioned for another upgrade to oceanview and got it as a repeat customer. There was a travel advisory on (later upgraded to a warning) so the place was less busy than usual. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom well appointed - and it would have been nice to have some hot water in the shower, but it's Cuba. The reso [... read more]rt has new lounge chairs around the pools and the beach and plenty of palapas for shade. As usual the beach was spectacular, with people cleaning out any seaweed each morning. Food was great especially the Cuban a la carte (there was a lamb special) and of course the desserts were delicious and never-ending! The staff were amazing - they had heard the rumours of travel warnings and the oil embargo but carried on regardless. Many of them may not have jobs soon if the US actions continue. It was a little cool and windy for Cuba, so it was amusing to see our Cuban travel rep in a winter coat, complete with fur collar right next to Canadian tourists still in their bikinis desperately trying to soak up the sun while they can. Great for my tennis though.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: STARFISH CAUTRO PALMAS

Love this hotel. Never disappoints us. Staff are the best. If you have concerns they are attentive. Food perfect and plentiful. Espresso quality is not the Cuban beans I remember. But there”s a cafe/breakfast place down the street. Drinks I cannot comment, my sister said they were artificial mixes. But beer is good. All these short comings are because of the shortages. Rooms are fine, staff is attentive and friendly. Best hotel, I come here often and this is my favourite.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: 2nd stay at Memories Flamenco

The beach is truly the highlight of this resort, without a doubt one of the best. It’s a long, breathtaking stretch of soft white sand with crystal-clear water. There are plenty of palapa and lots of chairs, so you never feel stressed about finding shade or a good spot. The pool area is just as enjoyable. The atmosphere comes alive starting at 10am when the music begins, and the entertainment team keeps the energy up all day with tons of fun activities. There were absolutely no shortages of anything, and the buffet offered a wide variety of options every day. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a room with two twin beds, and they were super comfortable, we slept great every night. Housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping everything tidy. The only small issue worth mentioning is that the pool washroom doors don’t shut properly, which could definitely use some attention. However, this was very minor compared to how wonderful everything else was. This was our second time at Memories Flamenco, and it definitely won’t be our last. We already can’t wait to come back again

Sanctuary White Sands: Lovely resort

Just back a few days ago from a ten day stay at Sanctuary White Sands in Cayo Coco Cuba.The resort was very clean and well maintained. Pool area was very large with a large abundance of chairs as was the beach area. If you were having trouble finding a lounger the staff were readily available to get one for you. Beaches were very beautiful but the time we were there it was windy and a bit cooler than normal but you can't control the weather. Still had a lot of time by the water. The rooms were k [... read more]ept very clean,had lots of hot water for showers and were kept up with essentials. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help you with whatever you may need. Food at buffet was fair but there was always a variety of choices. The alacarte meals were very good but try get reservations early enough to get a place. Was my first visit to Cuba and had a wonderful time. I hope that soon things will work out for the people there and we will be able to visit again in the future.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Total Amazing Resort

The best place ever. Totally relaxing place. If that is what your looking for. Food was great with no shortages. Our butler Melia was awesome and was always checking on our needs. The staff on this resort are the best always friendly and helpful. Can't wait till next year to return.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Second time around

The hotel was much the same, nice, and for us good with not much walking required. Very clean and the grounds well maintained at least where everyone walked. Rooms could use some updating but were kept fairly clean. Not very busy when we went and for those who choose to stay home maybe good as it was that very cold week but staff attempted to keep us busy anyway. Not always easy wrapped in a blanket. We did have one incident that we didn't think customer service was wanting to deal with.

Brisas Del Caribe: Amazing Resort

We had an amazing stay at this resort and truly enjoyed every moment. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The check-in process was smooth, and we immediately felt relaxed and well taken care of. The resort itself is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. Memories Cayo Largo: Wonderful Week

Just returned from Memories Cayo Largo. My impression of the resort is it’s a small gem of a resort. Beautiful tucked away resort on a stretch of mind blowing beaches. Though the beach on site is a bit difficult to go down because of the surf destruction once you tackle the first 20 feet you will be in beach heaven, let me add there are stairs as well. They are a bit tired in some of the rooms but in honesty I’m never in my room and not there for that reason. Melia Cayo Coco: Absolute Dream Resort

Our vacation at Melia Cayó Coco was absolutely amazing. The grounds are beautiful. The resort common areas, restaurants, pool area, bathrooms and bar areas are extremely clean. Rooms are cleaned daily. The staff are very friendly. The ocean is incredible. The food was delicious. Food is available 24 hours a day. There is nightly entertainment. Club Tropical: all around lovely

the staff are friendly, inviting and accommodating. the entertainment staff are awesome! there is something for everyone on the buffet. the grounds are kept clean and so are the rooms although the beds could stand to be updated!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: An Outstanding Experience at Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero

Where do I even begin with this outstanding experience at Iberostar? We booked an oceanfront room and it was truly right on the beach. Waking up every single morning to the sound and view of the ocean was absolutely magical. Stepping outside and being just a few steps from the sand felt like a dream. We also upgraded to the Prestige experience, and it was worth every penny. Having access to the exclusive restaurant on the 11th floor was a highlight. For Cuba, I would honestly call it a seven star dining experience. The food at Prestige was that good. The three à la carte restaurants, Cuban, Japanese, and Italian, were also excellent. The quality truly impressed us. Even the house wine surprised me, it was really, really good. Housekeeping was impeccable. Our room was spotless every day, and we never lacked anything. The staff throughout the resort were warm, smiling, and genuinely kind. You feel welcomed everywhere you go, from the restaurants to the cappuccino station, yes, they even had my favorite cappuccino. The beach is probably one of the nicest I have ever experienced. Thanks to Alex, who handled our booking and told us we could walk the beach for long stretches, we enjoyed beautiful daily walks along the shoreline. It was stunning. The pool area was perfect for us. There were activities, but not too many, just enough to keep things lively without being overwhelming. There is a section for children, but during our stay there were not many, so the overall atmosphere remained calm and relaxing. Another thing that stood out: so many guests we met were on their second, third, even fourth visit. After experiencing it ourselves, we completely understand why. The price to value ratio is exceptional. If you are looking for a five star hotel in Cuba, with great food, friendly staff, a stunning beach, and only about 15 minutes from the airport, this is the place to be. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Hotel Playa Coco: wonderful family resort !

This is the only hotel we visit ! This year was our 8th. Everything is very accessable. Nice selection of A la cartes. But the BEST for us is the people that work there. They honestly go out of their way to please you. Food is always great and there is something for everyone's taste.

Memories Jibacoa: Exceptional Resort

We loved our 10 days at Memories Jibacoa. The excellent reviews were spot on. The entire staff were exceptional. The buffet was was one of the best I’ve experienced in Cuba, especially the bread and pastry that was baked fresh everyday. A solid shout out to the pastry chef as well as all the servers in the dining room. Rooms were a bit dated but kept clean and comfortable with fresh towels everyday. Sadly, the Canadian airlines [... read more] announced their temporary (hopefully) suspension of vacation flights to all of Cuba two days before our scheduled departure fight arrived empty. Fantastic experience from start to finish. This is our second time here and will be back. If you are looking for a relaxing, adults - only escape in Cuba with beautiful beaches and exceptional service, this is the place.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: The Grand Aston resort in Veradero

Nice resort, large clean rooms. Attentive and friendly staff. Poolside activities were ok. Nightly entertainment was ok. Food quality and selection is limited. Questionable food preparation for some food items ie cooking raw chicken and beef with the same utensil. The resort itself is very nice. The food quality and selection is a drawback.

This is a lovely, peaceful resort on a gorgeous stretch of sandy beach. Our suite was massive and we really enjoyed our private hot tub on the back deck. Daily maid service and nightly turn down service with fresh beach towels was greatly appreciated. The pools, walkways and grounds are beautifully maintained. New furniture arrived for the Coral lobby and dining room. Upgrades and repairs are constantly underway. A La Carte Restaurants at Selection are under renovation. We enjoyed our menu meal service in the Coral restaurant, poolside and beachside. Our vacation ended with a wonderful send off by the entertainment team. We were sad to leave these extremely kind, generous, hardworking, and very appreciative people. We will return when flights resume to Cuba. If you like a quiet resort with personalized service, I recommend Iberostar Coral Enchenachos!
