Terrible resort and services

Locker dint work Balcony door was broken No wifi connectivity (I missed many work meetings ) Flush was broken in one of the room Receptionist didn’t action to our complain Our pickup from bus on day 1 was late by the bus driver which resulted in reaching hotel late at night and there was no dinner provided due to the delay Return flight was delayed for an hour which resulted in paying extra for the scheduled booked car at Toronto airport POS machine was not working in flight for  [... read more]any food purchase and the flight landed at 3 am. We were starving without food All 6 passengers in other itenary got 6 different seats despite of requesting them to provide same row seats as there were few senior and heart patient in family travelling together. Very limited option for vegetarians or who eats only chicken

Great resort!

The hotel was one of the largest hotels in Varadero. It was convenient and everything was almost as expected. The stuff were very friendly. The room was clean and regularly cleaned. Drinks were abundant everywhere (in the lobby, pool, restaurant). Didn’t take towels as we already knew they are available there. Food was good and acceptable and you could find something to eat. (salad, fish, chicken, bacon, beef, pork, milk, scrambled and boiled eggs, ice cream, cakes, and other desserts) You co [... read more]uld also book for Italian or Japanese dinner but we couldn’t manage to reserve for those restaurants due to being busy with during the booking times. The recursion programs were nicely organized. We were only able to register for one of the program (dolphins and fish seeing deep in the water, although the equipment was not very convenient). There were about 7-8 recursion programs (including Trip to Havana, Jeep safari, …) Our 6-year old son was busy with playing in the beach or pool and at the end of the day was tired enough not to ask for more activities. Although we had balls and game apps that he could enjoy.

Great hotel and service

We came back 2 days ago from Cuba We, me and my husband had a great time in this hotel Iberostar Bella Vista Varadero. The room was clean and with enough space to move around with all the necessary things. The entertainment at the beach and the swimming pool was fun The Lobby bar tenders guys was service minded and very Cham, the amazing coctel ready at anytime all around the hotel .I will recommended the hotel to others The food is an issue

Just great vacation, Iberostar Bella Vista place to go.

I wish I could give more then 5 stars, this hotel should get 100+. Location, service, people that work there are just amazing, everything was just perfect. We are planning to go back in Nov or Dec with other family members and friends. Thank you Iberostar Bella Vista. :):)

Great Location

The resort was really nice and clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The beach was wonderful, only down fall that it was a little small for the amount of people. It got crowded at times and no personal space to relax. Food was ok, there was no salt, pepper, ketchup, hot sauce and butter. Make sure to bring your own. Coffee in the lobby was amazing! Overall it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful resort

For me I like the resort it was beautiful but I like it when you are relaxing outside and you have a waiter or waitress that comes along and ask you if you need a drink from the bar but we didn't get that service here if you wanted a drink someone had to go to bar for a drink. It's a resort.

This was my first stay at a resort so I don't know what to compare it to, but it was clean and the staff was very nice. There was a toilet paper shortage and I couldn't eat the food after the fourth day. It seems like a good place for people who like to hang on the beach and in the pool.

Sixty in cuba

The grounds were well kept and very clean. The layout was fantastic. The workers all amazing All the bar staff was fantastic to us . The ocean boys always had my chairs ready to go. The activity team all super amazing people always made the effort to talk to our group everyday and made us feel special The shows were amazing very talented dancers. The building itself could use some TLC but I realize they are still recovering from the effects of covid Elevators did not work at all,

Relaxing resort

The grounds, pools and rooms were very nicely kept. The service was excellent. The food was terrible but that is out of your control. There wasn't enough activity to keep it lively so very boring especially after sundown. The beach was sensational.

We will be back !

Recently spent 11 days at Iberostar Bella Vista , have not been back to cuba in 6 years so wasn't sure what to expect reading all the reviews on shortages since the pandemic . Staff are fantastic , room was spotless and clean everyday, no beer , pop in mini fridges but 2 bottles of water daily . You can purchase beer at resort or duty free , no tequila at resort which we don't drink it anyway , wine was great red & white . View from oceanview was amazing, we spent 10 days in ocean which is what we went for , however pools were clean and fine also. We brought toilet paper from home and we didn't have too however it's nicer lol . Food was good for cuba , better than 6 years ago forsure however nobody goes to cuba for food . There were many choices and you certainly won't starve, Lobster, shrimp , beef , pork , chicken , burgers , pasta , burnt wings , tuna , we noticed no lettuce and no potatoes, we don't eat desserts but looked like lots there . We would definitely go back to this resort ! Fabulous vacation . 😎

Beautiful and clean!

This resort was pretty great for the most part. Second time coming here, first time was a bit better food wise and the shoes were a lot better at night! Covid has effected the type of foods they can receive and they had less money to spend on acts for the shows. But, the food was pretty good and everything was kept pretty clean! Staff was super friendly! Had a great time!

Disappointing

The pool area is beautiful The beach is gorgeous The lobby bar was good as long as you had money in your hand ready to tip. The rooms had a terrible smell to them. The mattresses had a plastic cover on them which made it terrible to sleep on. We had outlets in our room that weren't attached to the wall

The worse resort

This has been the worse resort in my entire life. My family and I couldn’t stand how bad it was that we have to pay extra to our airline agent and go to another hotel. Please don’t go there. They need to close this hotel, make renovation, improve the gastronomy, train the stuff and improve their salaries so they can give a good service. I never complain and I am very tolerant but this was the worse experience ever.

Looks nice on pictures

Nice: beach and seawater Main restaurant: Serious health issues handling food. Small in size for number of guests. Shortage of food and western drinks (no Gin/Tonic, Black Russian, Mojito available). Overcrowded beach, not enough beach chairs. cannot find chair after 7:30am Snack bar - missed orders multiple times, unfriendly senior worker. Lobby bar - service is good (mostly Cuban and Russian spirits) Beach and pool bar - service is good. Pool - OK Shows - average (Rock, Cuban, [... read more] M. Jackson, Movie Songs) DO NOT exchange Canadian money for pesos, bring US bills for tips. Pesos is a worthless paper even for Cubans!

Never again to Cuba

I rarely write a negative review and always try to look at the half filled cup only, but in Cuba it’s 90% empty cup. The beach was the ONLY thing that was astonishing!!!! Other than that everything was very VERY disappointing!!! It’s out of their control, I understand, but not my fault either..that’s why I’ll never visit Cuba. I would pay a little bit extra and be in a place where I can get my basic needs. In Cuba, basic needs are not met! Amazing resort!

Grounds, public areas, dining areas, restaurants, pool areas, entertaining theatre ,bar areas, hotel rooms, cleaning services, front desk service - are excellent. I will recommend this resort to all my friends.

Lovely people

The staff were exceptional. The place cleaning standards were excellent. The entertainment was superb!The food is ok. There was no red wine available. The connection to the internet was terrible, customers should be aware of that.

Cuba has better hotels

We spent one week at the Bella Vista and found that a lot of staff didn't speak much English, most of the time the toilet paper was empty in the bathrooms, the food was the worst we've had in Cuba, (this was our 8th trip down) but of course, you won't starve, there is always something to eat. We were not sure if this was due to covid or transport issues. As far as covid protocol, the staff all wore their masks and asked that guests did too in the building areas. The beds were the most uncomfortable that I have had in Cuba, we had to change rooms since our first room had a shower that didn't work, water leaking across the bathroom floor and a door that didn't lock, beach towels were charged to your credit card (Deposit) instead of in your room, and 2 or 3 resort restaurants were closed during our time perhaps since they were not at full capacity, I don't know. As always, the beach and water are amazing, blue, beautiful, relaxing and since that was what we were there for, the trip was still great. I would not book this hotel again. Prefer the BLAU, ROYALTON, or even LOS CACTOS

Fantastic time

Recently returned from a stay at the Iberostar Selection Bella Vista resort in Cuba and I can’t wait to return! I was on the 8th floor overlooking the ocean (Star Prestige Package) and the room was spacious, clean, modern. My brother and I enjoyed all our meals (we did not try the buffet), especially on the 11th floor where the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodated of all of our requests. I can’t say enough about the staff at this resort!!! As well the Manager was accessible, appro [... read more]achable and very helpful prior to and throughout our stay. This was my first trip to Cuba and some of the highlights would be - the Cuban people, beach, stunning scenery and finally the amazing coffee!!
