Perfect Vacation

I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never been to this part of Cuba before or this resort. Everything was beyond my expectations. The resort was absolutely beautiful. The staff was the best I have ever had the pleasure of being with. The food was delicious. The weather was terrific. The sights were breathtaking. I have never gone to the same resort twice but will definitely be going back to this resort next year--hopefully for 2 weeks. I would rate my experience a 12 out of 10!

Amazing Resort & Staff

Loved our holidays at this resort. They sure do go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. This resort was recommended to us from our friends that return Year after year and now we will be doing the same.

Amazing Resort

I have just returned from my second visit to Coral Leverl Iberostar Holgiun I will go back again. The resort is beautiful, well.looked after, very clean and the staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is an amazing one. The advantage of Coral Level is the quiet, private pool, bar and restaurant. The food was good, there was a lack.of fresh fruit and vegetables but that is the norm right now everywhere in Cuba. A very nice resort

The hotel was very good. The service was very good by certain people bartenders (Alexander and Dayana )the fitness instructor (Carlos) the evening butler (Yarandia spelling May not be correct ) The day butler was never around so no service the bartender's at the main outside bar were not very friendly service was ok The maids were great. I can't wait to go back!!

I have been to Cuba many times before, and I have to say my week here was the best ever! The resort itself is stunning, very clean with awesome rooms. No matter what time of day or night (we arrived very late), the staff was friendly and helpful. The bartenders were excellent! No shortages stop them as they can get quite creative if you tell them what you like! They also tell some pretty good jokes LOL! The service staff was very good; our room was cleaned from top to bottom daily, with plenty [... read more] of towels, toilet tissue, and plenty of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and lotion. The food was good and there was plenty of it. I have no complaints about the food. Now let's talk about our Butler Extraordinaire, Junior Perez! I don't have the words to tell you how great he made our trip. It was like all you had to do was think about something, and you turn around and there is Junior making it happen, always smiling and helpful! Junior and the staff turned a great vacation into an awesome one! In all my trips to Cuba, I have never booked a resort twice, but I am already booking another stay here in April, and probably again next January.

Great holiday in Holguin

A truly great experience, everything was the way it was described, we enjoyed every minute. The greeting we received from Junior and how he explained the room and the attention he showed us all week was a very nice touch. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've experienced in Cuba, the room was cleaned everyday by a very thoughtful maid. The shower was the hottest ever and it never went cold!! the shower gel and body soap are in dispensers so no fear of running out,and its eco friendly.  [... read more]The pool was well maintained and the beds and loungers were available most of the time (not crowded) the two beaches were beautiful and always room for everyone, beach staff always willing to help find a spot for you. We enjoyed all the meals both buffet and a la carte, always sometime tasty to eat and the service was excellent, always seemed happy and willing to satisfy. We didn't take in any of the shows as the selection side was extremely busy, there was some nightly entertainment on the Coral level and we very much enjoyed that. We never ventured off the property as we had no reason to, everything was at our resort that we wanted or needed. Great resort

We enjoyed our vacation at Coral Level at Iberostar. The quality of the hotel was amazing. The room service was impeccable. The butler service was a great bonus for us. Free internet 24/7 was a real gift also.

Very good value

We felt lucky to have landed at Coral Level Iberostar Holguin for 10 days. Staff members were top-notch. Rooms, pool and grounds were all lovely and well-maintained. Lounge chairs under shade were always available at the pool and the beach — no need to scurry out at crack of dawn to plunk down towels. Food is never the draw in Cuba, but here there was always lots of variety and fresh fruit, served by friendly, attentive staff. Nice

Very pleased with Coral L. Our first time there. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The tasty food was very enjoyable. The grounds were lovely and well kept. Never did make it to the beach, maybe next time. Spent so much time in the pool and loved it. Felt so spoiled having butler and room service. Looking forward to the next time.

Exceptional resort

Resort was very nice and fairly new. Rooms were very nice and loved the fact that the toilet worked every time and that we had hot water for showers! I was disappointed in the quality of food as they didn’t have any pasta or any sort of potatoes! When asked they said they haven’t received any shipments of pasta or potatoes in a long time. Large resort

Stayed on the coral level side of the resort. Rooms were nice and always kept very clean. Towels were exchanged everyday. Pool on this area was clean and quiet with chairs always available. Butler service was amazing. Laritza and Junior went above and beyond for us and even arranged a special dinner for our honeymoon. Beach areas were nice. The only downside were the shortage of food and alcohol available. Not much vegetables or fruit available and no pop for mixed drinks. We did eat lobster all week at no extra cost. Quiet and relaxing in the coral level with only adults. Massages were excellent and very inexpensive. If you want to relax then this is the resort to visit. Definitely want to visit again so hoping that the shortage of food and alcohol improves.

The best resert in Cuba!!!!!

Fabulous Vacation

Vacation was awesome from start to finish. Food, although lacking in some resources, was well prepared and tasty. Most of the staff were wearing masks and hand sanitizer was readily available around the resort. COVID quarantine rules were closely followed. Have been to Cuba 29 times; strongly recommend this resort.

An excellent holiday resort for the price!

The Coral level was quiet and private but the main grounds provided busyness if you wanted. The staff were efficient, professional, friendly and eager to please.. The food at both levels was good. The room was outstanding! Very clean and spacious. I would recommend the Coral level and would return to this hotel.

COULDN'T RECOMMEND MORE!

Where do I start... there are soooo many good things to say. The staff was incredible, specifically our bartender sergi at the beach bar and Alexander at the coral level bar. Our butler Laritzia, and the Yarian! The concergie (we forget her name) was also incredible. Everyday she increased our wifi usage without us asking. All the staff went above and beyond for us. A couple days later we go back and he has a WHOLE BOX of fresh limes! He went to the market on his day off to buy them so he could make me my drink. Unbelievable! Alexander was someone we talked to almost everyday, we got to know him really well and he was such a kind soul. His drinks were excellent but his service was even better. Our two butlers Laritzia and Yarian were the sweetest people we could have asked for. Upon check in they provide you with a welcome tray of meats and cheese, I mentioned to Laritiza I love charcuterie back in Canada and she brought me a cheese and meat tray everyday just because! They were both so detail orientated and really took note of the small things. The food was delicious at the coral level, I had lobster for dinner everyday and my boyfriend had the three meat option (chicken, beef, pork). We would much prefer to eat on the coral side as we found it was better than almost every al a carte and beat the buffet by a landslide, it truly was five star dining. They have a snack bar open 24/7 for burgers, pizza, fries etc. The snack bar food was great for a late night bite after dinner was over. Breakfast was your choice of eggs, French toast, pancakes, fruit etc. Lunch always had a wide variety... something for everyone for sure! I have IBS so I was very nervous about the food selection prior to booking, but as I mentioned I was beyond satisfied and was not sick once. We traveled during low season and couldn't recommend it more, there were about 20 other people on the adult side which made for a quiet and relaxing stay. Our room walked out onto a patio with a cabana which was excellent... no fighting over pool chairs! The room was spotless everyday and the maids were very thoughtful. The beach was also beautiful, you have two options of beaches so we would recommend trying out both! We will be back next summer!!

Fantastic Vacation

Very beautiful resort, exceptional staff, gorgeous rooms, hand sanitizer readily available everywhere. Food was good by Cuban standards, pools and Playa Pesquero beach was beautiful, grounds were immaculately manicured by gardeners.

Great relaxing resort, great staff and amazing pool.

This was the second time we were there this year.Staff was amazing again and they remembered us. Resort was very quiet, which is what we wanted, only around 35 people in our area which was the adults only. This is their slow season, very hot but enjoyable.

We really loved the coral level of the iberostar holguin it was very clean and quiet great staff not so much when we visited the family part of the resort they had the ala carte and all the entertainment I would not recommend sending families there right now at this point we needed to use the washrooms there they were so dirty and that side was full of cuban people it’s like they don’t respect the hotel as well I met several people staying at our side of the hotel that have stayed at the n [... read more]eighbouring two hotels im holguin who were there in January for over 20 times and have said they were never go back there I think it’s a real big problem with letting them use there hotels there getting really run down now my husband met a man on the plane that stayed at playa pesquero resort the same week and said it was so bad there were feces in the pool I use to love that resort too all of u should be aware of what really going on there and not send people to there resorts if the situation remands like that I’m just so thankful that I picked the coral level otherwise this review would certainly reflect that I love cuba and I would hate to not go back there again but I’m hearing so much negative lately that I’ll probably be looking at other places to go from now on that’s sad to me I hope the resorts go back to how they were before this is a very honest review but it’s the truth what’s happening there thank you Marion Mallaley

Beautiful Resort

Staying at the Coral Level was a great experience, the staff were the highest caliber I have seen at a Cubian resort. Very helpful, happy and their English was amazing no issues communicating with any of the staff. The rooms were clean comfortable with all amenities except one a coffee maker. The butler would bring coffee each day but 1 cup is not enough.that would honestly be my only complaint and that might ha e been because of covid.

Everything we could want in a resort

We stopped doing one week all inclusive's years ago but not having been able to get away for two years we needed even just one week in the sea and sand. After reading the food reviews here on TA we decided to give the Coral a try. We requested an upper floor suite King bed and our request was granted. The adult only pool runs the length of the Coral level and even though you don't have an ocean view the balcony atmosphere is fantastic. We found out that some of the nearby resorts had no fish at all on the menu where as we had various white fish & lobster and various lobster dishes daily. The breakfasts at the Buffet restaurant was terrific. Even though my wife and I enjoyed the food immensely we found all the staff to be even more exceptional and always went the extra mile to please. I noticed many reviews named certain staff as being great but we found there were too many great staff to name them all individually. The staff wore their masks all the time which made for a great comfort level. Tourists were expected to wear their covid masks indoors until seating. We loved walking the pedestrian bridge to the beach and to the end of all the nearby resorts. It made for great people and activity watching. The included Hobie Cat half hour ride was a great addition. We did the Paradise Island Excursion on day. It was an eleven hour day but was one of the best excursions we've ever taken in the Caribbean. We definitely will go back again but this time for longer than seven days.
