Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great resort!
We really enjoyed our stay at Melia. Staff were all helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Meals at restaurants were tasty. Grounds were beautiful. Will definitely return. Lots of renovations being done.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Paradise on Paradise Island
From walking in the front lobby to walking out to the pool this hotel is just stunning! The staff are outstanding and so friendly. The food is amazing as well. Cannot wait to return to Paradise Island
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good value, nice beach
We were a group of 16 on a 3 day getaway. The 2 al la Carter restaurants (Cilantro & Nikki) we went to accommodated us amazing. The staff were professional and fun. The beach was small but lovely white sand with turquoise water. The bars and buffet offered a generous enough selection (for an all inclusive) and it was very easy to hop on a local Jitney and visit downtown. A great, reasonably priced getaway with comfy rooms!
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: That's Okay
It was good my stay at the Melia. It was too much noise cause by the construction or re-construction of the swimming pool and some rooms. Nice food and nice beach. Main swimming pool under re-construction.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: The New Riu
Very modern decor that seems the trend in the Caribbean. Nice, compact, rooms. Beds are firm but comfy for us. Staff are very friendly, particularly Lyndon, a waiter. We arrived over 4hours early and our room was ready!! The steak house and Crystal restaurants were nice and the buffet was great - we particularly liked the salad bar! I really liked the potato salad. Shade from the hotel itself was ever revolving and the beach staff was very obliging in providing umbrellas if requested. Proximity [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Wonderful experience, friendly staff, great food and really nice beach!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Riu Palace on Paradise Island. The staff were wonderful, always pleasant, helpful and had a smile for everyone. The food was great and of course the drinks were good with lots of variety. I would of loved if they had offered clamato juice for ceaser's and Coors light but there were still plenty of other good options. The swim up pool bar was rather cool, might be nice if it was heated like the 2nd pool on the property. I would definitely stay at this resort aga [... read more]
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Run down Resort
The Pool was filthy and slimy the 1st day we were there and closed the next day for cleaning......Not sure how it was ever allowed to get that disgusting. There was a hallway walking down to the pool that there were no working lights. There was also a water leak or flood in the main hallway walking toward the front lobby and it was wet for 3 days while we were there. Not impressed with Resort at all
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Good resort
Overall a good experience, considering this is an adult only resort, we were hoping and expecting late night pool/beach parties which were not there. The pool closed at 6pm and after that, you are either at the beach until it's dark or in the nightclub type area sitting and drinking. Theres def a focus required on evening events.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fantastic experience
The recent renovations left us feeling very satisfied. The staff was incredible and Lyndon (breakfast server) was an absolute ray of sunshine. My only issue was the shuttle bus took us the “scenic route†which was an additional 30 min. After flying for a number of hours, I don’t want the scenic tour. This was very aggravating.
Breezes Bahamas: Ok resort
Although the staff were very friendly and polite, I felt that paying almost 2700$ would at least warrant a fridge in my room and sufficient maid service. Apparently not. That was for just 7 days in a “5 star†resort. For one person. Never again.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: amazing service
I love the service at the hotel, people are nice and welcoming. There are some feature restaurants that you need to line up because they have only 40 spots at a time starting at 6:30pm. And it is first time first served. But you can register the second round (7:30 or 8:30) if you were at the line and missed the first round. The steak house was very good. I highly recommend trying the lobster there. And the bar is very nice, it is always packed at night. Riu is right next to the Atlantics, 2mi [... read more]
Breezes Bahamas: Fair
We enjoyed are 2nd stay of the year at breezes. Are room location was the best. Garden Patio. Some minor complaints. We reported that the most to the drawers in the dresser wouldn't open. The 2 top drawers were broken. They said it would be reported to housekeeping. It never was fixed. The Food was very good, and overall we enjoyed our visit.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: STINKS
Mrs. Fisher has our comments and review of the service provided by Sunwing. Please look it over very carefully. WE WILL BE ADVISING ALL OUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND ANYONE THAT ASKS 'DO WASTE YOUR MONEY' ON SUNWING OR THE RIU pALACE, NASSAU Donna Laidlaw and Edwards Boland
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Disappointed
I was disappointed in the new and improved Riu Paradise Island. The glass and chrome with grey decor I found very institutional looking not warm and inviting as most Caribbean resorts appear. The reception area instead of being the hub of the hotel with a bar and music appeared quiet and sombre. The rooms themselves were lovely though clean with a little tropical flair. The restaurants need some perking up, in fact we recommended to the waitress at the japanese restaurant a little music wou [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Nice resort
Hotel was newly renovated however their food menu needed some help and for an all inclusive l felt as though I was limited to amount. Front desk check in was not so friendly and buffet closed at 10pm which I thought was odd as we arrived at 930pm. We had to change rooms on the first night as well as our phone was not working. All little things that could have been avoided. Also the cafe should open earlier than 10 am. Pool was ice cold first few days and the outdoor buffet was not stocked with e [... read more]
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Will go back as soon as possible!
The beach is pure white sand....the resort is very clean and the atmosphere is safe and friendly. High recommend. The drinks were delicious and its close to downtown. You can take the local bus for $1.25!
Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: The Staff was awesome
The rooms were a little to be desired not terrible but nothing to spectacular. The resort was clean and staff were superb. The meals were good for all nationalities. The resort felt very safe. The beach area was sandy but very rockiein the water
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Best Beach ever...
We were glad to have the walk out from our room (#107) it was nice to jump in the pool and not have to take an elevator. A bit of noise in the halls at all hours because the conference room was outside our room. The hotel had not one but two local events that were being held at the Melia. They had the Woman of God which hosted 300-400 woman from all over the Caribbean. Stayed from Friday to Monday. Very pushy at the buffet and made for long waits. Then there was the political event to vote i [... read more]
Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Great resort
Beach and pool are are fantastic. Staff is amazing. I realy enjoyed coffee bar and specialty coffees as I only drink espresso based coffee which I did not find in many resorts that are higher in standings rather than this hotel that is advertised as three star. Room was clean and beds comfortable. One minus was lack of beach umbrellas at the beach and pool area however there were plenty of loungers at the beach so you can find a spot any time of the day. Food was great in buffet as well a la car [... read more]
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good resort
The hotel rooms could definitely use an upgrade and nightly entertainment can be improved but other than that everything was great. This Resort is very close to Baha Mar which is a very nice place but not all inclusive. However, staying at Melia, you can also utilize the pools and casino at Baha Mar. Melia offers a free shuttle service too.
