Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Wonderful Staff!

Great family resort with exceptional food for an all inclusive. This is an older resort that needs a bit of revamping….new building Indigo is beautiful with large rooms and beautiful ocean views. Make sure your travel agent books the correct room. Preferred club is NOT the new building as had been confirmed prior to our trip. We ended up paying $600.00 US to upgrade. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Lousy

I have stayed at Bahia resorts maybe six times. I was very disappointed this time, the television was not working, no fan, noisy etc. The people were very nice. I don't know why has the quality dropped.

Location and resort facilities top notch. Food and variety of food options suited everyone in our group. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The rooms and service was excellent. We would return to this resort.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Still full from the amazing food!

My husband and I just got back from the Royalton Hideaway and I want to board a plane and head right back! The resort was super clean. The food was five star. The coffee shop had the best pastries and we tried every coffee drink on the menu and we were in love with every one of them. Will be going back to this resort!

Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club: 10/10

This resort was a incredible… we had an amazing time at Secrets Resort and Beach Club.. The service and staff were fantastic The resort was very relaxed, and the food was very good. The beach club was very chill, and in the heart of the Tulum beach strip… Highly recommend

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Paradise!

This resort was amazing, the rooms are bright and spacious and the cleanest I have ever seen. If you are hungry there are many many food options, if you are thirsty there is a bar withing 50 strides all staffed with some of the nicest employees I have ever met. The 13 pools are spotless, the washrooms are plentiful and clean.....truly there was not anything I did not enjoy and am looking forward to going back in 2 years.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Great location, very good service

Fantastic hotel in an amazing location – the perfect mix of city and beach! Everything is spotless and beautifully maintained. The beach is gorgeous with soft white sand and a lovely sandy bottom in the sea. Service throughout the resort is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only area that could use a bit of improvement is the food. The buffet offers international cuisine, but we sometimes struggled to find really tasty options. On the bright side, the bar and g [... read more]rill by the main pool completely makes up for it – fresh, delicious food and absolutely wonderful staff! The drinks are always fresh, and the cocktails are strong enough to satisfy even the pickiest guest. Room service is exceptional, with cleaning available twice a day if you want it. The minibar is generously stocked with a great variety of drinks, which was a nice touch. Overall, we’ve found another great place we’ll happily return to again and again in the future!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Lovely stay

Went as a family of 4 with two elementary aged kids. Non-drinkers/partiers; mainly focused on kid-friendly activities, exercising, and relaxing. - Buffet food was very good with plenty of variety and options - Concierge was super helpful when we had requests (we requested blankets so one of our kids could sleep on the couch & they took it 1 step further & provided a full extra trundle bed) - Beach was nice and well maintained. Busy and lively but not crowded - Check in/out was simple - Lots of activities for all ages - Gym was large and had plenty of machines as well as additional studios & free weights upstairs - Also lots of tennis courts and pickle ball. We had no issue booking a court, plenty of free space - Grounds were well kept and lovely - Appreciated all the drink stations with various juices and water with fruit in them to add a bit of flavour - Coffee shop was open 24/7 and had nice ambiance - Nightly entertainment was pretty top notch! - There was a live band playing covers of popular songs at the pool on Friday and they were really awesome & talented. - You could wander to the lindo & del mar sides. Lindo was also very nice. Del mar was more sprawling but there's parrots and flamingos to check out if you head that direction - Generally large grounds which was nice, enough room to go for a long walk. - Star camp seemed cool but our kids were not fans unfortunately; they went for a few hours one day and declared "never again". Other kids seemed to like it. - This is our fourth time visiting Mexico. We have done a different resort every time. This has been the best experience for us. Small things I noticed that were less-good but not deal breakers/were just a passing "hm this could have been better" thoughts. - Someone else's hair on our room's shower wall when we first arrived = cleaner missed it? Not a big deal but if you're a stickler for cleanliness maybe you would notice and care a lot. - At the breakfast buffet they had pre-made options for omlettes etc but they were often a bit cold. They also had folks making fresh omlettes & pancakes to order so if you want something hot I'd recommend that. There was rarely any line for this either! - Some of the people who worked there seemed pretty "blah" about their job haha. They were always polite but you could see they were also a bit over it all. We tried to be nice & tip etc and again this wasn't a big deal. I'm sure it's a very hard job as well. But if you are a stickler for perfect service and having people fake it until they make it maybe it would bother you. - Coatis are a bit annoying sometimes, I saw one jump on a guy and steal food right out of his hand. They were also frequently inside the garbage cans so i was a bit wary when using the cans in case one jumped out at me (never happened phew). I'd just say to be aware when you have food and they are around. Don't leave food unattended. They are cute though and fun for the kids.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Bahia Principe Grand Tulum - Great Spot, 4 Stars

My family enjoyed a one-week vacation over New Years 2025/26. Overall, the hotel, service level, and grounds/beach/pool are very good. Pros: The beach is fantastic. It is a nice strip of beach several hundred meters long that is all walkable. There is a bar/restaurant along with many rentals along the strip. Snorkeling and SUP boarding was common there (bring your own equipment). The snorkeling from shore was very good with lots of marine life to see (fish, rays). Our room was only 50 me [... read more]ters from the beach. There were plenty of parasols and beach chairs for everyone. The pool areas were fantastic, and daily entertainment was organized and busy. The New Year's celebration was incredible. It was well organized with lots of champagne flowing. Selection of premium liquor was good. Lineups for drinks during the day was reasonable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Cons: The a-la-carte restaurants were all booked up after the second day. We were able to get into 2 for the week as a family of five but some people we spoke to were not able to book any restaurants. The buffet was okay but got tiresome by week's end. There were many "extra" costs including a hotel tax we found out about upon arrival. Some of the extras were more Mexico related than hotel specific (for example, the "exit" tax, the cost to see Tulum was exorbitant and the process was painful). The local transit was very reasonable at 20 pesos each way per person for the 20-minute drive to Tulum. Some of the costs at the hotel were a little out of hand (examples: exchange rates, CAD 19 for a bag of chips, USD 233 for golf). It is advisable to get Pesos in smaller denominations before arriving in Mexico. Tipping was common and appeared to be expected (20 pesos is less than CAD 2). The rooms had a weird layout with separate shower and toilet area and a sink in the main room. We had three in one room, so it made it a little dysfunctional at times. The hotel is a long drive from Cancun airport to the hotel (~1.5 hours)

Hilton Cancun: Great Resoort

The Hilton Cancun is a beautiful resort located right on the beach. The food was good overall, and the service was excellent—I barely had to leave my chair, only getting up once or twice to grab a drink. The beach did have some seaweed at the start of our stay, but it was cleaned up toward the end. The pool area is lively, with activities running throughout the day like volleyball and water aerobics, which kept things fun and energetic. Barcelo Maya Tropical: Amazing resort and staff

Lots to do and beautiful beach. Staff was great and on point. Lots of restaurants and bars. Fun to walk around both day and night. I would recommend this resort for families since it’s very kid friendly

Catalonia playa maroma in the Mayan. Great week. 8/10! We upgraded to premium level and were very pleased. Location: short bus from cancun airport, smaller resort, long walk from lobby/buffet to beach and other restaurants but very scenic. Beach: amazing! Loads of chair for all. Lots of shade or sun. We had a lot of seagrass but they worked endlessly to keep it cleaned up. Service on beach not so great but always good to keep moving to get yourself a beverage. No shortage of towels daily. Crepe bar excellent. Pizza good. Drinks as usual. Some better liquor. Rooms were fine. Friends had unpleasant odour and requested some assistance so were promptly moved to another room. Other friends had water leakage which was repaired promptly. Alll in all a great week and would definitely recommend. loved the monkeys!

Great place to stay really clean,staff was friendly. Lots to do if you wanna be active or if you just want to go away to relax!Very family oriented lots of children activities pool slides shows Lots of walking. Food was fantastic! Drinks were also good! The weather was good in early January. Would recommend to others!???????????????

Catalonia Yucatan: Great time

I went with my grandson to this resort, it is nice enough, cosy enough and very comfortable. The staff of course, are great. We were disappointed with the beach though. It had a lot of limestone and rocks and stones so it made it unable to really swim. You could walk out to your waist and float on top. The amount of fish that you were able to see was wonderful.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Disappointing

Our overall experience in this resort wasn’t great. Night 1 when checking in the lady was super unfriendly. We found blood on our bedsheets and when reported they were very casual about it. This happened two more times (blood on the sheets) and the response was always very casual. The food was terrible and not all the restaurants were even open. This is NOT a luxury resort. Would not go back.

Everything was very good from start to finish, and the resort itself was absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere, amenities, and overall experience exceeded our expectations, and we were very happy with our stay. The resort is beautiful and the grounds are immaculately maintained. Dining options are excellent and service is very good. The beach is very nice but definitely bring water shoes as there is a lot of sharp coral everywhere. The lobbies are all gorgeous with lots of seating but with the lobby bar being further away, typically in an enclosed space, there is nothing to do in the lobbies. While they can be pretty to look at, they generate a significant amount of white noise, drowning out any music or ambience.
