Memories Caribe Beach Resort: ENJOYABLE RESORT

I must say that I was very pleased with "Memories Caribe Beach Resort". especially the food...yes the food. Best we've had during our many visits to Cuba! Always something to choose from, one day they even had Turkey...WOW. The "snack bar" had a great variety of sandwiches and fries too! Drink choices...the lobby bar made the best Pina-Coladas and Spanish coffee! At the beach, great pizza freshly made, not everyday however grab it when you can! Only tried 1 specialty restaurant as we alway [... read more]s find the buffet offers the best choices. Can't forget the Cafe bar.....Love!!! On the downside, rooms definitely need to be updated. They are very clean however air conditioning unit isn't good for sure. It works OK, could use maintenance for cleaning etc. Had a issue with hot water the week we were there, only in the shower. The staff tried there best and were very prompt to react to any concerns we had however they were working on plumbing on the whole resort so during this week some had hot water and some not. Entertainment: always something going on either in the theatre, around the pool, in the snack bar and buffet . Love music however would recommend perhaps when the music is playing around the pool that the snack bar turn theirs off! Spanish lessons, dance class, dancing....certainly can keep busy if you want for sure! the people, WONDERFUL...friendly...aim to please!

Sanctuary White Sands: Beautiful Resort comes with some very bad service

The resort is beautiful, well laid out and easily walkable. The service at the swim up bar was fantastic. The butler we had every other day was very helpful. That's where the good part ends. The service at 24 hour bar and buffet and lobby bar was horrendous! If you want to become invisible this is the resort for you. We tipped when we had good service which was not very often. The only fruit was over ripe bananas, un ripe pineapple and papaya. With this resort being so isolated there really was no options for dining or excursions. The beach was beautiful but the sand was so soft that. as a senior, walking to the water was very difficult. I will never return here even if the problems are addressed. I have been to Cuba almost 40 times (even 3 star resorts) this is by far at the bottom of my list.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing resort

The whole resort was very nicely kept, the pools were beautiful too. The beaches in Cuba are fantastic, and the people are wonderful and very helpful. Food is traditionally biggest issue in Cuba even in the restaurants. Amazing bartenders and drinks

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Few quests hence few services

There was only 140 or so guests most rooms were empty. Very quiet, food the worse I have experienced and travel 3 times a year to Cuba.The al carts were horrible. Beach amazing beds comfortable and housekeeping came each day. Entertainment not so good.

Hotel Playa Coco: Amazing Resort

We had a great experience! Hotel could use some tlc but the rooms are a great size. The resort is beautiful, the food was amazing and there was a lot to choose from. My families favourite was the Japanese a la carte and the pizza!! As for the staff here, they were all super friendly!! Some we made life long friendships with!! We definitely will be going back for many years to come!!

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beautiful resort

Hotel was new pretty clean, food ran out very fast. Nobody told us about the sand flies that eat you like crazy, but funny thing, you don’t start feeling the bites till we started heading home, the itching started, and stil persisting. The itching is much worse then mosquitoes, and last weeks. Worst trip not worth it.

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Had the time of our lives

Our first trip together, for our anniversary no less, was top notch, start to finish! Couldn't be more thankful to the Valentin CAYO Cruz locals, staff, bartenders, housekeepers, ZEUS crew, cooks, management, bus drivers, tour guides etc. They were attentive, genuine, respectful, friendly, humorous, hardworking, and endearing.

We are just back from two glorious weeks at this hotel. Staff was terrific!front desk extremely helpful with any questions or help needed….which was mainly figuring out the free internet! Internet worked in rooms, lobby and most of the grounds. Food was plentiful and quite good. Enough variety I managed to never get bored. The beach is wonderful and the ocean was nice and warm. People snorkelling saw quite a few varietys of fish and if I went out past my waist I actually saw gar!some beautiful s [... read more]ilver fish and little black and yellow fish over by a reef. It was fun! We never ran out of beer, evening drinks had a fairly goid selection and always had a redand white wine. As we were returnees we were treated to a magical dinner on the beach, full moon shining down on us and a wonderful dinner. If I have any complaint it was the no seeums which were very hungry. Got quite a few bites but will research for a better wayto protect myself when I return next year. It was a great 2 weeks!

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Amazing resort, will be returning

This resort was absolutely amazing. I was so impressed by how well kept and clean it was! The room was absolutely beautiful and surprisingly modern. The food and drinks were great, the staff were all so kind and the beaches were amazing. There was a perfect balance of relaxation and entertainment. The “ Cuba day” was definitely a highlight for us! We will definitely be returning in the future.

Melia Cayo Coco: Loved this resort

Though older hotel it was spotlessly clean , grounds maintained consistently The service was outstanding from All staff I thought the food was good no complaints Would return in a heartbeat planning next one already

I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Staff are amazing, the beach is beautiful, the resort itself is clean. The restaurant is always on time to open. The cappuccino is great. Small things but it count.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Awesome resort

The grounds were very well maintained and the staff were very courteous, food was very good and top shelf drinks the rooms were clean and the adult section was absolutely peasefull which os what we were looking for ,we will definitely be back.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Older, Tired resort

This facility is tired. Older buildings, broken walkways, painted walls look old and tired. Staff maintenance on the lawns and gardens were taken care of every day we were there. They look great. Staff are super friendly, always smiling and helpful. The variety of food in the buffet was sufficient. The chefs cooking food on the grills were excellent! And tasty too. Those folks deserve a raise!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Beach

Loved the food here at Memories Caribe. I did feel that it was lacking things for being advertised as a 4 star. The workers here were top notch and went out of their way to help you. There is only so much you can do with a tired old resort. I would not return to this resort because 98% of the people were eaten alive by bugs. I was warned but unfortunately trip was already booked. I have never been bitten like this before in my life.. some things are not available or just not offered. Like certain premium drinks were only on offered with Diamond Club. That's a monopoly by Sunwing. As I said I would go back to other resorts all over Cuba before this one. Beach was amazing, sandbars were huge. I never set foot in the pool as I prefer the beach. And because the music is too loud at the pool.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing resort will definitely be back.

Everything was great about it. Little issues with 1 room of 2 but fixed very quickly. The people, the grounds and everything was so clean. I've been to Cuba in all different areas and also to Cayo Coco and will definitely return to this resort.

Vila Gale Cayo Paredon: Amazing Resort!! We will be back!!!

Our experience at Vila Gale was excellent the food was great, and very clean, with wonderful gardens, and an amazing beach, for those who like to sun and for those who want to swim and see the fish, there is an area where you can do that too. Rooms are spacious and very well clean with amazing staff. the drinks we great didn't have any shortages we travel with a family of 7 ages 18 to 8 and everyone loves it. The coconut stand on the beach was awesome always clean and nice people with great tasting coconut and the beautiful beach can't get any better than that!! We will be back!!!!

Vila Gale Cayo Paredon: lovely resort

Vila Gale offers the Cuban visitor a lovely beach, fantastic pools and many options for eating. As with other places, the staff are wonderfully attentive, helpful and always smiling. There is probably too much similarity among the specialty restaurants. The entertainment staff need a better way of letting people know what activities are happening throughout the day and what the shows are at night. Having the same Tuesday posting of events at the front desk all week does not help. This would [... read more] help guests plan a more active week especially if they knew where to locate equipment needed to play games like Petanque or shuffleboard. I was very surprised that French fries were not to be found at the restaurants around the resort other than occassionally showing up at the buffet area. The wait at the pizza place was also too long. ( an hour to an hour and a half.) I experience very few shortages throughout the week. Those that happened at the bars were quickly corrected when new supplies came in the next day. An afternoon grill at the beach would be a great idea for fish and burgers.

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Highly recommend!

I went to Valentin cayo cruz with my fiancee and our two friends and we had an absolutely amazing time, the staff were all fantastic and went above and beyond! They even took my friend and I out fishing while the girls had a day at the beach which was beautiful by the way. The pools and pool bar were all great no issues at all. Everyone told me going to Cuba the food would be terrible and it wasn’t bad at all, actually I’ve had worse food out of local restaurants in the Toronto area, some of the [... read more] food was actually really good. We did 3 of the a la carte dinners and they weren’t bad but honestly the buffet is the way to go for the most part. The snack bar had better fries than we get back home in Canada and the ham and cheese sandwiches were unreal. We plan to make it a yearly trip for the 4 of us if not more frequent. The staff made us feel right at home and we have nothing but positive things to say from bartenders to waiters to even maintenance staff I would highly recommend Valentin cayo Cruz for anybody looking for a nice getaway and a relaxing vacation!
