Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Nice resort

Hotel was very nice considering food shortages in Cuba at present time not bad service was horrible no face cloths or towels all week along with no toilet paper last day was spent with no running water for whole resort very dissappointed

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

This resort has beautifully maintained grounds, the shared areas are very well maintained and there is always someplace to sit and enjoy the ambiance in the evenings. Wifi is great everywhere - even the beach. If you are able I suggest staying in building 5 which has a great view of the beach. We found the Italian restaurant the best, the Japanese restaurant food was salty and one note. The beach was fantastic and great for long walks.

Loved the resort ❤️. The beach and snorkeling were amazing! The gardens are beautiful and everybody that works there are wonderful ❤️ The poor people in Cuba are going through real hard times but they are all amazingly nice. Thanks so much to all those hard working people.

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Not worth it

Big problems with the food supplies. The drinking water was missing, the alternative glass bottles was stinky as a hell, as well the water itself was very chlorine taste. The cola was missing as well. The food was nothing special, below the average. The beach was good, but a lot of plastic thrush at the sand.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great resort

All the employees were great especially Henny, Julio, Elvis, Javier and Adonis.( sorry for spelling). The food was some of the best we have had in Cuba. Parts of the resort are in some need of repair or renovation but overall descent. Beaches are amazing, no seaweed just soft white sand. Been to many resorts in Cuba and this one is at the top of the list.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Amazing resort!

It's my favourite resort in Punta Cana! I have been staying there from Mar 24 to March 31, 2024 Excellent service, beach, food, room and everything. No complaints. Will be back for sure. Thank you, Iberostar for one more great vacation.

Iberostar Coral Ensenachos: Amazing Vacation at this resort

You are always welcomed back by the staff that always recognize you. The service is awesome, exceptional. The location, although its a long drive from the airport is worth the drive. The food was also very good. When they are low in supplies, they make up for it. We have been there for 4 years and is now our preferred destination. I don't have any complaints and we are already looking forward to go again next year.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing Resort

Must try Star prestige rooms. Where one can get personal swimming pool, amazing restaurant. One thing I like about the resort is they have 24 hour snack bar. Hardly 10 meters away from the beach. Resort even have water activities which are included

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Playa Alameda Experience

Grounds are well kept and staff are great. The food (March 2024) was better than expected despite the shortages that all of the hotels were having. (ie. bread on some days only). Checkin was fast and efficient. Unlike neighboring hotels there is not a lot of drink service in the lounge area or beach. Not a problem though as there are two bars within 50 meters of the beach. Downsides. Room: total lack of hot water in the shower (the sink had hot water though). The beds were showing there a [... read more]ge and I did not find them comfortable. They call a king room one with two utility-grade single beds pushed together. The room cleanliness was fine. The lobby is smaller than in other hotels and does not have a lot of seating for groups or for lounging and having a drink and seating was in good shape. Beach: Very deep and flat. The sand was not as fine or shell free as other areas. There were also rocky areas at waist level in some spots so water shoes are recommended. The hotel did suffer from the number of worn out and broken loungers. Some altercations with other guests over "parking" or reserving avaialble loungers ensued. Coffee and drinks were plentiful and bar service was good. There was also a very nice little cigar bar with bar service which I enjoyed. Overall, recommended.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Coral level

The hotel was nice, but paying extra to get the best experience was not worth it. Did not get the room I paid for.The butler was no where to be found. Eat same food everyday and they would not book another restaurant for me to have different meals which was part of the packaged. I had to make a complaint to finally get a restaurant book for me and they also offered same food the coral level restaurant offered. I also feel like staff should treat everyone with same treatment. I would not be going back to this resort again and a bad experience only enjoyed my self out of the resort

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Loved the resort

The buffet was terrific—wonderful food The kids club for our grandchildren, 2 seven year olds and one five year old, was great, they loved going and often didn’t want to leave A very well organized resort— they responded immediately to any requests All in all, a wonderful time had by all And Air Transat’s flight, pick up and delivery were excellent, far superior to Air Canada Vacations last year

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: lovely resort

Overall we were pleased. Newer hotel , quite clean and neat. 3 beautiful pools and access to a beautiful beach with incredible turquoise water , friendly staff. Lots of places to walk. It would be good if there was a shorter route to the beach, maybe from the two closest buildings, kind of like the path to the serenity pool from the closest rooms there. There was entertainment in the evening, and occasionally in the afternoon. There are shortages in Cuba so some days there were no eggs and ot [... read more]hers no bread, but there was enough reasonably good food to eat, wine at lunch and dinner, beer and lots of rum. I would not take a picky eater kid anywhere in Cuba at this time. Toilet paper was mostly not available in the public restrooms, always carry some with you. We always felt safe. Scheduling of entertainment was confusing, and might have been changing day to day due to the current issues. I would suggest a Chalk board in the lobby area that can be changed as needed. I would like to see a bit more focus on afternoon and morning activities(water aerobics, bingo, learn to line dance...). Love that you can tip in CAD. We had a toilet malfunction in our room when we arrived which was fixed promptly. There were no beach towels, bathrobes or slippers in our suite as advertised.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great time

Clean, friendly, the most beautiful beach. For us, (retired) the perfect size. Food you don’t expect good food in Cuba. But cooked food was always cold. Wifi was awful and menus were QR Codes ????difficult to open without wifi. No Coffee maker in room. We didn’t find that to big a deal. All the staff was wonderful and lots of them that switch rolls, so instead of tipping one, you’re tipping 3 or 4. That being said. We will return.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Okay Resort

Lobby was inviting and the food and food staff were very good! Room quality was not good. Phone did not work, safe was broken, only hot water. Reported to frontdesk and was told by work people that came to our room; they could not do anything about it. Housekeeping was not great . Grounds people were extremely friendly.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful resort

My self and my 2 daughters had an amazing time at Selection Ensenachos. Food was great for Cuba considering food shortages. I really had no complaints except for the setvice in the coffee bar and lobby! I tip but they were not in a rush for serving women. Men were served first apparently. But that wouldnt stop me from coming back i definitely will be returning !!!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Awesome resort

It’s an awesome resort . Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean. The buffets were very good . We had a lot of choices . Food were very tasteful.The restaurants “A la carte “were very good . The entertainment staff was amazing . We had an incredible just dance show on Friday night . We also Enjoyed the landscaping. Beautiful plants . We will come back for sure .

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing resort for families with young children! Beautiful beach!

The food was the best we have ever had in Cuba! The 24 hour snack bar was a hit with my children, many options, including pizza, pasta, hamburgers, hotdogs! They also had an afternoon outdoor beachside, barbeque grill, with fresh chicken, and pork, it was such a delight. The buffet also had quite a variety, including grilled shrimp, and different options for seafood and a variety of meats. The resort felt very safe for my children to even walk around from the room to the pool on their own. Our  [... read more]ocean front room had a spectacular view. Cuba definitely has the best beaches in the world, and we were so blessed to have experienced the Varadero beach front property here at Iberostar. It was GORGEOUS!

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Beautiful hotel, beach and ocean, but…

Stunning beach and ocean, new resort nicely designed, specious room with ocean view. Cuba is in trouble now so food and drinks were not impressive, no fresh fruits, no fresh juices, very limited food selection in general. It was Russian flag in front of resort but no Canadian flag. About 80% tourists were from Russia.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Cuba is in a bad place

Nicest hotel I’ve stayed at in Cuba but the lack of stock was unreal. Most fruits and veggies were out 80% of the time. No steak or chicken. No eggs. No mix. (Used prune juice with rum) They were actually refrying the fries from the buffet for the a la cartes, due to shortages. The tour guides stated the government puts tourism on the back burner. Public transit is minimal the locals are starving. Under no circumstances will I return to Cuba.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Great resort and staff

The beach was amazing, the private pool was nice. Room were clean and maintained, comfortable beds Staff were all very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. There is a food shortage and supplies are low, but it did not have an effect on the trip. No fault of the resort either Lots of mixed drinks and they were made very well About 1 hour from the airport, the beaches make it worth it
