Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Lovely resort

The Sunscape Bavaro was lovely. The grounds are beautiful, the pools are clean and lovely. The dining rooms were clean and the staff happy, helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The maid we had was efficient, her replacement not so much. We upgraded to the Sun Club which was not necessary. The food was ok. I find the food in Punta Cana all the same. They did offer great hamburgers, pizza, fried chicken, French fries for the days you didn't want beef, fish,etc. Our  [... read more]friend hurt her knee and within hours her room was moved to the ground floor and all she had to do was call and a golf cart would pick her up and take her were she needed to go.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Resort was fine!

We stayed for a week at the Sunscape Bavaro and found the pools and beach were wonderful. As with most resorts there was a shortage of sun cotts...the drinks were great and well made. Marvelous mojitos! The food was ok....not grear" just ok. But there was alot of selection so you are always able to find something and no one ever went hungrry. One of our party had a real bad knee and it acted up trying to do the stairs to our room...she was moved immediatley to a ground floor room upon reque [... read more]sr and could call for a golf cart for transportation any time. Everything was kept clean and everything in our rooms worked!!! Entertainment was fine but we are not really into it so not fair to judge. We really enjoyed having an after dinner coffee from the cafe' All in all , it was fine. Not exceptional bur fine.

Sunscape Splash: Awesome awesome and more awesome

Sunscape Splash Montego Bay - awesome, amazing, clean, safe. The staff were so cheerful and helpful and friendly. The grounds were clean, easy to navigate. Tons of fun and lots of places to relax too! Love love loved it!

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Poor resort

Very poor room service no towels or face cloths fridge stocked once only toilet seat cracked and didn't fit .Never enough pool chairs poolside and bar poor.Not wheelchair friendly.Very poor entertainment.Toaster never worked properly and frozen butter.Never enough cutlery.I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Loved this place!

Had an amazing time! Loved the staff, resort, view, beach, food etc. will book back again!! Once you get the lay of the lad all good... hiccups yes but they worked out. Just remember place value on what you want and advocate for it.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Sunscape Hotel Puerto Vallarta

We like the hotel because of its location. The beach is nice and there is lots of activity on the beach. The biggest problem on the beach was the hotel did not supply enough lounges or chairs for the number of guests. People were up at 7:00 a.m. placing a towel on their lounge and kept the same chair the whole day. The hotel has been upgraded and the upgrades are very nice. We are familiar with the hotel as we were there several times when owned by the Holiday Inn. We were disappointed wi [... read more]th the room we received on arrival. It was a handicap room on the bottom floor. The shower was huge and there was no door on it, nor did we receive a bath mat and had to use one of our two towels to keep water off the bathroom floor. It was very noisy during the night as people were partying very late and people were talking loudly. After the second night, we were able to move to another room in the tower, which was very acceptable. The dining area has been improved and made larger. We missed having the colorful tablecloths that were used by the Holiday. They used a placemat on each table, which was very seldom cleaned. Also, they did not supply salt and pepper at each table. We had to ask for them at each meal. They did not provide straws for the drinks, making it very difficult to drink an icy drink..

Sunscape Curacao Resort: A hot, glorious week in Curacao

The grounds people did a good job of the landscaping but fell short on picking up garbage that had been blown around and did not fix the loose, missing or unpainted roof shingles. This took away from the overall nice resort. The room was very nice, nice bed and nice sheets. Bartenders were not lively...didn't seem to enjoy their job. Room cleaning staff was always smiling and saying hi, but did not refresh our towels each day. By the end we only had a couple towels left. Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Nice grounds and beautiful updated buildings.

Positive: Beautiful grounds and nice updated rooms. Lots of beach lounges, no wrist bands which is nice, entertainment was good, check in was fast and easy, Negative: High pressure sales tactics for this Endless Vacation crap which they claim is not a timeshare, but it is basically a timeshare. Food is not great, keeps you alive but it's not great, I expected better. Both my wife and myself got sick with a travelers diarrhea and ended up at the clinic, we spoke with lots of other gues [... read more]ts who had also gotten sick. One guest was so sick he went home 2 days early. You really have to watch what you eat at this resort.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great Vacation

Pros: Food was excellent, we ate at most of the restaurants and found the food to be very good, with a great selection at the buffet. Pool, beach all were wonderful, my wife enjoyed the nightly entertainment. We found the staff to be very friendly. Cons: Bathroom tap leaked, other then that the room was very nice and clean. Needed to purchase the meals in the airplane. Overall was an excellent trip, great hotel at a decent price

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Generally good value

Well laid out resort, nice long beach for walking, clean everywhere, friendly staff, the food is ok, not the place for a foodie but the restaurants had a variety, breakfast at Castaways by the beach was always tasty, fresh and fast, lots of action around the big pool and a variety of ages... We had some issues with the time that our flight arrived, we arrived after the Sunclub check in closed at 11 pm, so our priority check in didn't occur and we waited at the end of the non-Sunclub line, by th [... read more]e time we got to the check in, our rooms had been given away and we had to move two days later, not cool (we listened while other guests checked in and bragged about being upgraded without charge, upgraded to the rooms we paid for) For the rest of our stay the Sunclub Staff were fantastic to accommodate our upgrade, the Sunclub staff which included Johaira Jaquez and her colleagues made the Sunclub experience worthwhile after being so messed up, the Adult only lounge we enjoyed immensely, a little snack buffet and premium drinks including real Piña Coladas the root of the problem originated with AirTransat changing our flight time more than once from mid morning to late night, not the resort's fault but certainly changed the dynamic of our vacation week Lots of shade on the beach but not enough umbrellas on either the beach or poolside, entertainment was above average and we have visited many all-inclusive in many countries, lots of great features at this resort, coffee shop, ice cream, popcorn, many locations for drinks, snacks, washrooms, wood fired pizza shop was fantastic (calzones) We weren't fans of the Asian restaurant, Italian was the best for us Tamarindo buffet over the pool was convenient and fun, staff great Overall, this resort was good but could be great and probably could gain a star with improvement to cuisine and rooms and more staff Small attention to detail could elevate this resort Proximity to the airport is convenient and the airport itself was very efficient This is a family resort, very good for young children Beach vendors were plentiful which might bother some people but they were not invasive and when you said "no thank you", they were fine Public beaches so they have every right to be there The resort as a whole was good value for the money

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Friendly resort

My spouse and I took a trip to this resort on the 19th to the 26th of Jan 2018 with a group of friends. Overall, it was a great place to stay. Clean, and friendly service. I don't really have anything bad to say about the place. Occasionally for showers, the hot water would either take forever or would only get slightly warm. I do recommend if youre a light sleeper to try to get a room not close to the gate as you will hear honks from vehicles throughout the night as well as the guards and gat [... read more]e opening and closing frequently. Snack bar open all night was super convenient. The foam party we saw advertised before our commute there, did not take place, however the swim up pool was always a blast! Would i recommend the resort? Absolutely! The nightly shows were enjoyable to watch as well.

Sunscape Splash: Perfect for a family vacation

We just returned from a family vacation involving 13 adults, ranging in age from 22 to 63, and six children between the ages of 3 and 7. Everyone had a tremendous time. The resort rooms were clean and spacious, the food was good to great and the service was outstanding. There was plenty of room at the beach and pools to accommodate all guests. Great place. It's still developing but they have made it awesome. They try to up sell the package there but you can say no. Great value for what it is. We went downtown. It was safe. People are friendly. Walked the beach. Again friendly people.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Beautiful Resort!

It was my first time, and my husbands 5th time, visiting the DR. This resort was honestly wonderful! Food was good, staff were great, lots to do!! They had dancing performances every night which were awesome! A ton of stuff to do on a beautiful resort!

Sunscape Splash: Ok Resort

My family just spent 5 days at this resort. We upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. The room was great, with an amazing view. Room came with room service, but after asking a few times for a menu, we gave up trying to order. The buffet offered a variety of foods, but had the same variety for 5 days. There were 3 a la carte restaurants. We went to the Asian Fusion, which was very dissapointing. We didnt try any of the others. Water park was fantastic! We have a 12 and 3 year olds. Both had a great [... read more] time. Beach was filled with seaweed and garbage washed up from the high winds. Beach was not cleaned consistently every day. We didn't spend much time there. What turned me off the most was seeing a 3 inch cockroach in the dining Room! I tried to ignore it and hoped it was just 1. I saw 5 more over the next two days!!! Overall, I would not recommend this hotel

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Small quiet resort nice resort

Nice resort , nice beach , good food, good service.Entertainment could be better . Not much to do in the evening time . But the surrounding areas of the resort allow offsite entertainment. Mombo beach is a few minute walk . Willemstad is a quick cab or bus fare away

Sunscape Curacao Resort: A great vacation!

A bit more $ than Cuba, D.R. or Mexico but well worth it. Several restaurants and bars. Good food, lots of variety. Attentive and very friendly staff, clean grounds, spotless room, comfy beds. Only 15 min from airport, 10 min to town (free shuttle 2x a day). Weather was perfect, ~ 28 every day, steady breeze, comfortable. Clear blue/green water, breakwall stopped the really big waves from coming in.

-grounds were well kept -food was delicious with a variety to choose from -ate at main buffet every breakfast and dinner... did not try any a la carte restaurants, which do not require reservations (first come, first served) -beach was nice (free paddle boarding, wind surfing, kayaking available) -service was good -rooms could be cleaned a bit more thoroughly

Our first impression of the resort was not great. We were dropped off in the luggage/storage area instead of at the main entrance. I would suggest this be changed as first impressions are important. Once we were inside we were more impressed. I loved the size of the resort. You did not need to walk far to get to anything. It was not overcrowded. Reservations were only required for the Japanese restaurant. The service was good. We found it a bit slow sometimes in the buffet to get coffee, juice or cutlery. Our rooms were spacious and clean. The beach was beautiful and the snorkelling was amazing! The entertainment and bar staff were very friendly and helped make our vacation a memorable one. The free shuttle service to Willemstad was a great perk!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: great resort!

We vacationed with a group of 8 and found this resort to be a great find. Not too large but certainly had many amenities. Good Food, wonderful friendly staff, fabulous beach that had access to great snorkel spots.
