El Cozumeleno Beach: Hotel Pretty good

Hotel was nice, Clean rooms no issues with room at all -my highest priority Food was very tasty but no variety seemed to be same options everyday day -luckily I love fresh Tacos! Occidental Cozumel: Very nice resort

The grounds, gardens, beach was very nice Weekends no entertainment Disco was lame Pool table fun, staff were all excellent - friendly and helpful During the week very good entertainment with dancing shows and singing No swim up bar but the bar was right beside the pool - accessible and convenient. Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Read carefully, spoilers present lol

As travelers with medium expectations from their future travels we were somehow well positioned to like our recent stay at this resort. The resort is well maintained and people at divers levels of maintenance, service or managing look you in the eye and you know they strive to give you the best experience. What we liked and what we suggest to improve is next. We liked a lot the possibility to snorkel right out of the (little) beach. As we traveled in early January and evaluating that the resort was half full we suppose that in peak season this availability would be compromised. We liked the animation team efforts to bring each batch of vacationers to speed until they leave. We liked the reliability of food and drinks supplying chain. There is a diversity of options and the quality is good while other resorts seem to us having more variety. from day to day. The seafood restaurant with full window wall seaside is awesome while the experience of the italian restaurant is overall good. Both have to improve though the quality of some of their offerings. The full fried fish tasted like it was previously frozen for a decade (lol) and the rib steak medium was in fact rare. Had to be re -cooked, second time perfect. Liked the room service, included in the all included package, liked the room maintaining, in-room safe, the furnished little fridge (bottled water, beer and sodas), the choice of TV channels offered. But the Standard Definition makes for the majority of the customers an unbearable time when you have to pass some time indoors. And that is because most of us have HD channels for some time now, making the transition to 4k back at home. Hope you know what I mean.. The toiletries offered in the bathroom were very basic (shampoo body lotion and soap) , compared with comparable 4 stars resorts. Wifi is offered complimentary but the quality is spotty , probably to make way for a premium version. The improvement and the fusion of this nowadays basic need could be envisioned. The number of the pools and jacuzzi is ok I guess but I wonder what is like when hotel is full. We were a little bit startled that the jacuzzi were not heated as we saw elsewhere. The fact that one was defective was not remarked by people We bought 3 tickets for three unrelated , mixed gender, adults. This situation is not envisioned as the rooms are designed to accommodate only a couple (even that two double beds are provide). Without shower privacy the stay of even a couple with kids is problematic at best. There are only two-of-everything provided with the room.We had to beg several times to have this issue addressed. Some extra shampoo was provided , a bottle water and an extra beer. The 4 towels original provided were in turn adequate. Loved the IceCream and coffee place which also offered sandwichs and little pastries. Loved the distribution of bars and washrooms, the quality of their maintenance. Loved the glass that is everywhere making for unobstructed view to enjoy the beautiful layout of the resort.Loved the under-the-road passage to go to the beach that makes a non issue the fact that the main facilities of the resort are the other side of the road that longs the shore. The proximity of the cruise pier could be a plus for some that love these marvels of machineries that are the cruise ships or a downside for some that would like less disturbed (and subject to possible pollution) waters. The quality of the water seems very good none the less. All in all a good experience and a near perfect vacation with a stellar team at your service.

Occidental Cozumel: Lush and beautiful!

If our room wasn't exquisite enough, getting to it was amazing. All paths run amid lush tropical trees, palms and shrubs, very well maintained. The room was gorgeous with marble floors and counters, rain showerhead, comfortable bed and wonderful balcony! The pool is right beside the beach so you could relax or be part of the activities. The only thing th [... read more]at worried me was what to do if it rained a few days? There was a spa, gym and billiards but that only lasts so long. In any case we didn't need to worry; we had 6 out of 7 gorgeous days. Oh ya, and the resort is one of very few that has a sandy beach on crystal blue waters... the others around us were rocky. The buffets were delectable, and the restaurants superb. I had a fabulous week!

Occidental Cozumel: Fantastic week

The hotel was very nice. Very clean. Personnal very profesional. Food was very good. I had a very good service in the hotel. Cozumel is and Island to visit. The only thing is from downtown we where a little Bit far. So we have to take taxi each time we go to downtown.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Resort

The resort was kept very clean. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Food was good, buffet always had lots of choices. Entertainment staff and shows were good, always including the guests.

Allegro Cozumel: Great fun and awesome people

The grounds and public areas were clean and beautifully landscaped The beach was fantastic Rooms were clean and comfy with extra everything if you want.. a little noisy on the upper level because the neighbors can be heard thru the thatched roof. Dining was good, The buffet was good , recommend the hot egg or omelet cooking area for breakfast Hard to book the special restaurants so do it early. Common room/bar ,pool table lost the cues and balls , the air hockey game never worked ( stuck)  [... read more]the foosball table worked sometimes, if you are going to offer something...make sure it works. All broken games offer is disappointment and this is the only thing to do at night if you don't go to the disco. There is a large sidewalk area that runs along the bush area with a fence. People use it to get to their rooms but there is no path lighting. Bad Biting itchy Bugs, we had bites everywhere, not sure what they were from!! There are mosquitos. But these were also something else. The excursions were great The rent a car guy was not very accommodating when late Only went to a few night shows.. A night of magic would be cool, Better advertising for the night features ( posters or in room booklets) And downtown schedules and good maps... closed on Sunday was a surprise... for the markets Best Part by far is the service people.. the waiters, bar tenders and room attendants.. obviously working for tips but they were friendly and personable... a little more English would go along way for their success (tips)

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Interesting Resort

First resort I have been to that is in the heart of the city, but you can hardly tell. A beautiful cave like tunnel under the main street to the beach. The infinity pools and beach area are terrific. Mind you, you stare at all the wonderful cruise ships all day long and they obstruct the beautiful sunset. Food and beverages are great at all the dining areas, as well as the nice cafe. We spent New Year's at the resort and it was probably the worst New Year's party I have ever been to. Not worth the extra cost for the time frame. All the rooms face the ocean, but the "garden view" rooms are below the tree/palm line, so you can't really see the shoreline. The beach area with the reef is amazing, no need to do an extra excursion to see fish, as the underwater Mayan statues are just to the north a couple of doors away. Make sure you do not book a room on the fourth floor under the fifth floor Royal Club Customer appreciation rooms (take a walk up to the fifth floor and you will understand). A ton of noise of banging tables, chairs and high heels at 6 a.m. every day. We had to move to another room. I am very sorry to have to report that things were stolen from our rooms, even though the rooms were very well looked after by staff. Packed our pack back for the day, went for breakfast and came back to find the earphones were taken from our backpack while away. Our other room had a sum of cash removed from it. If you like a very firm bed, you'll be fine. As all the rooms are equipped with nice firm beds (not good if you sleep on your side). WiFi is usually terrific, so if you are out of country and don't want a data plan, you can get away with using their WiFi.

Overall it was a nice resort - one major issue, we had raw sewage outside of our door on more then one occasion. Luckily they were quick to fix the issue, but gross none the less. The restaurants were great!

Occidental Cozumel: Good Holiday!

Grounds were well taken care of and staff were very accommodating to our needs. Food became repetitive by the end of our stay but still enjoyed it for the most part. Room request was granted which made us all very happy! Could have had more activities to get the teenagers together but not having that ensured more time spent together as a family. Perhaps an option to pay a premium rate for the first club privileges would be a nice option instep of having to buy into that as vacations for us a [... read more]re few and far between.

Occidental Cozumel: Gret resort

Amazing resort, rooms were just renovated, beautiful beach and pools. Really good food and friendly crew. Second time in the resort and both ocations had a great time, specially after the room renovations.

Allegro Cozumel: Excellent Resort

The Allegro Cozumel was excellent!! This hotel is very clean and the beach was beautiful and clean. Our room was in the 47 building so it was half way to everything very convienant. They are definitely a four star and working their way up. The staff were amazing very friendly and if there was a problem with anything they would fix it right away.

Zel Cozumel: Relaxing Stay

The hotel is not "fancy" but there are many things that we enjoyed. Some seem minor but they affect the overall mood, such as: - even on the days leading up to Christmas, when the hotel was filled near capacity, there were plenty of beach chairs with shade (consequently only few a few people reserved their favourite spots with towels at 6:30 a.m.) - the beach allows for a good 30 minutes of walking in both directions and it is cleaned very well every day - the food is good and you always fin [... read more]d something really good and if you wanted you could have tuna or salmon grilled fresh at lunch every day - the entertainment was as good as in any 4 star hotel at the Mayan Riviera (we have stayed at 5 other resorts). - the teen-zone had a good variety of activities including 2 pool tables, and our teenage daughter enjoyed the free Wifi in the lobby. Overall we "totally" enjoyed our stay.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Paradise in Cozumel

This hotel is beautiful. The food was great but the buffets get a little repetitive in the mornings. The beach was beautiful but a bit rocky going into the ocean. Didn't stop us though. Great snorkeling and jumping off the pier into the ocean was fun. The only down fall is the rooms are old and very dark and some of the rooms have a sewer smell.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Excellent All-Inclusive Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at the Iberostar Cozumel. We were fortunate to be given a newly renovated king room (#5204) and found it to be perfect and well serviced. No issues with musty smells, storage or lack of hot water (although a neighboring room was experiencing a strong sewage smell during the week). To those who complain about the lack of hot water, please remember “C” stands for caliente (hot), not cold. The food was inconsistent although the buffets seemed to improve over the we [... read more]ek. The steakhouse was quite good, the Asian and Tex-Mex were not. Although I did eat something on the Mexican buffet our last night that caused severe stomach issues I cannot fault the hotel. Food issues can occur anywhere down the line and in fact during one of our lunch buffets I observed a staff member routinely taking the temperature of the buffet items to ensure food safety. The wine was good but the drinks were just okay. We never did find anything on the bar menu that we would want to order twice and wasn’t made with a lot of sugar. The staff were friendly and hardworking and the star friends talented and enthusiastic. We saw a few shows and especially enjoyed the acrobats in the horror show. Would we return? Yes, I think so. The value was excellent and the diving good, both draws that would bring us back at some point in time.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Sunscape Sabor Cozumel

A very quaint resort . Everything is close by. Food is good and they offer different menus at the three restaurants. Hotel rooms very clean, but can use a bit of updating. However while we were there, we noticed that they were renovating certain rooms. Service and all the employees are excellent and very helpful. Always had clean towels and no problems finding chairs at the beach or pool. A very nice stay.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Great bacation

We got a great price through Katreryna at tripcemtral and great service frime her as well. Elcozumeleno was a very nice place to stay. Staff is excellent and rooms are nice , big and clean. Food in the restaurant where you make reservations was excellent. The buffet at breakfast was great lunch could have been more variety and a bit better. They did have a menu to order from so we did that most of the week and that was great. Really good for snorkelling, the fish swim right beside you. One morn [... read more]ing a baby crocodile showed up but it was contained quickly and we were assured that this was the first time that it has happened. All in all an excellent and relaxing time at this resort.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Sunscape Sabor Cozumel

Have traveled to Cozumel 4 times and the last 3 have been at Sunscape Sabor . You will not find a staff that is any better than at this resort . They make you feel as if this is your home . They are so friendly and helpful . The accommodations are great and so is the choices on the food menu . I would recommend this resort to anyone and I will be returning there again next year .

Zel Cozumel: wonderful smaller resort

All was very good. Food, staff and golf. When taking a cab ask for a price. Cash American funds in for pesos at the front desk. Cabbies give you ten pesos to one U.S $. Front desk was closer to the bank rate which is about 18 1/2 to one U.S $. Even the cab ride to the golf course, which is 8 bucks , should be paid in peso. It will save some money

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Very basic and very crowded

The hotel caters to families and it was quite crowded. The beach is not very inviting, rocky, darker hot sand. Food is very repetitive, "travels" from dinner to lunch and from lunch to dinner. Rooms are small and basic but AC works well. WiFI unpredictable and internet off most of the time. It was our second time at this resort and will be the last.
