Riu Vallarta: Palm Tree Paradise
We had a wonderful stay at RIU Vallarta. Excellent food, endless entertainment by enthusiastic and friendly staff and the rooms (adjoining) were well stocked, immaculately clean and serviced every day.
Riu Vallarta: Sun, Sea and Pool Meca
RIU Vallarta was fabulous!! The hotel is spotless and constantly being cleaned and maintained. So so we’ll run by friendly helpful and energetic staff. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to friends and family. The food, drinks and entertainment was generous, tasteful and beautiful presented.
Riu Flamingos: Best place to vac
We love the location, sandy Beach and the layout 😠of the resort. The dining was elegant and food was really good. We love the entertainment especially the foam party and all white party. They could upgrade the gym a bit though. All over I will go there again.
Canto Del Sol: Not a 4Star
The lobby and lounge area had no A/C. It was very uncomfortable due to the heat and humidity. The food was very simple with nothing that really stood out. When we first checked in, they put us in the old part of the resort which was not shown on the website. The room was very small and dated. I went to the desk and asked to be upgraded , which cost an extra 600 pesos per night. On the positive side the staff were very nice, and the specialty restaurants were very good.
Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta simply nice
Very well organized resort, food delicious and various, and services are perfect. The people are friendly and accurate. Good location you can travel by bus and taxi. La ISLA shopping center is steps away.
Riu Vallarta: Great Hotel - Great Value
Excellent stay - the recent renovations have updated the hotel beautifully. Good value for money and consistent good standard of service, food, drinks and entertainment. Will most definitely be returning to this resort
Crown Paradise Club: Great budget/kid friendly resort
Overall I would give this resort a 3.5/5. Pros: friendly staff, great beach, could always find chairs by the bigger pools and beach, spacious rooms, all pools were good size for kids, food wasn’t 5 stars but you could usually find something you like! Cons: small and uncomfortable beds, bar hours/supplies (kept running out of light beer and champagne, smell in bathroom was atrocious, not enough seating around the kids pool, seemed short staffed especially at the bars, and I don’t unde [... read more]
Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Stars were missing
We stayed at the Hilton in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We expected our stay at this hotel to be much like the Hiltons we have stayed at before, but it was not. We had booked a King suite with a desk but ended up adding on $800 to get upgraded to the room with a table much like a desk 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ and a hot tub on the patio. Our mini bar only had beer for alcohol and a few pop and water and the couple of bags of chips for snacks 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ but here’s the kicker the doors don’t lock p [... read more]
Riu Palace Pacifico: Great resort
Beautiful Colonial structure on quaint beach front. Impressive main hall to welcome all guests. Restaurants were had easy access on both sides of the semi circular building. Rooms were spacious and well kept. Main buffet was always well stocked and appealing. My wife and always ñ were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we were disappointed by the measly dish with four very small pastries Management sent to the room. Not even a bottle of cheap champagne?
Riu Vallarta: Good resort
The resort was beautiful & most of the staff were excellent. There are a couple of problems. To many locals are being allowed on the resort. There management needs to improve. Also the Riu resorts do not take American dollars. Very upset. Will not return to that particular resort.
Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: A good resort.
Good clean resort. Some buildings are older and some newer. Food isn't the best but it's ok. A la cartes are better. Four pools to choose from including an adult only pool. It is right on the beach and the ocean is fantastic to swim in. Mostly attended by Mexican families when we went in May. A lot of Canadians come here in late and earlier in the year. More restaurants bars etc. are open during this time of year. We have been here five times now and look forward to returning again.
Riu Vallarta: Mostly good but some issues
Pros: The hotel is beautifully. The staff amazing. Everything was spotless… they were constantly cleaning. Food was very good. Specialty restaurants were excellent Cons: The entertainment was terrible. There were a couple shows that were good but they were once a week. The local bands were great… everyone up dancing! But again twice a week. The other nights there was nothing. Every Friday there is a big RIU party but it is next door at the Jalisco. Extremely crowded… no sea [... read more]
Grand Palladium Vallarta: Beautiful resort, But...
The resort is absolutely beautiful. Very tropical looking. Kept very clean. However, although the staff works very hard, there is very little friendliness. Nobody was rude, just not friendly. There were a few exceptions, but in general we made no new friends on this trip. Also, the food tastes pretty good, but extremely repetitive, and not hot. Even though it's all in hot plate dishes, it was room temp most of the time. It's also an open air buffet, and most of the dishes were not covered, so fl [... read more]
Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Very impressed!
I give a 5 star rating because even when there was a problem, it was fixed within 10 min if you call the quality control rep number they give at checkin. Room: They are eager to please. Had issues with our rm at first, called the rep she haf 6 different staff in fixing it and finished within 30 minutes of our arrival. They upgraded our rm prior to arrival without us asking. Beautiful ocean view and kitchenette. Food: The buffet was the best ive ever had at a resort. So much to choose [... read more]
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Spring vacation
I was pleasantly surprised choosing this resort. The grounds are spacious with 5 pools plus plenty of room at the beach. You could easily get a lounge chair. The surface around the pools were pressure washed nightly and the washrooms were very clean. The food was good at the buffet and the restaurants were very good. We dined at 3 restaurants and ate most meals at the buffet. I liked having the option to get a drink in the evenings overlooking the ocean at 3 different bars. They had live bands [... read more]
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Family friendly resort
Great beach location. We had an oceanfront room, which was well worth the upgrade. Friendly staff, and the facilities and grounds were well kept. Horseback riding available all day on the beach, which was enjoyed by many. Take your pick with a choice of massages all along the beach. Borrow a bike for a quick ride into town. The 15 minute walk was also enjoyable for fresh oysters and ceviche. All in all this is a nice family resort.
Las Palmas by the Sea: Great resort
The staff were all extremely friendly and happy. They went out of their way to remember names and make sure they greeted you with smiles. The food was good and no line ups. The weather was fantastic. The beach and pool areas were always cleaned as well as the hotel lobby and bathrooms
Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Beautiful Resort!
The whole resort was just beautiful. It was low season and therefore there were many chairs available on the beach and poolside. Not much entertainment at night. Food was good at all of the restaurants (some open only on certain days). The good thing was that you didn't need reservations. Not much choices for drinks; we were looking forward to having shots, but none offered.
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Nice stay
We go back to this resort because we like the layout of the grounds, it's spread out nicely rather than being a massive concrete building. The grounds are nicely kept with lots of palm trees! This is our 5th time back. Although we love it, our arrival to our room was a HUGE disappointment to say the least. Upon entering the room I noticed a very large fresh blood stain on the settee cover in the room. I then started to check the room more closely and found lots of little clear elastics all over [... read more]
Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Nice Resort
The Bonaventura Grand itself is a lovely, clean hotel. However we booked a deluxe king room, we did not know that it did not have a balcony, and faced the busy street. We requested a change and would have paid for upgrade, but they could not do it. This hotel was overcrowded for its’ size. Food choice was mostly mexican based…however there was a grill restaurant where we could go. There was always a good choice of fresh fruit, breakfast was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful, [... read more]
