Grand Decameron Panama: Nice resort,Had a good time.

The resort grounds and rooms are nice. Lots of pools to choose from and plenty of chairs by the pool and beach. The drinks are good and made fresh in a blender eg. pina colodas , strawberry daiquiris .The food wasn't as good as we would have thought as we have stayed at a Royal Decameron before and had better food, but always found something to eat. Not a fan of having to book the buffets for supper. This resort is not for people that have walking difficulties as there is lots of stairs and up h [... read more]ill paths to climb. Went in January and it was very hot.

Grand Decameron Panama: Very nice resort

We stayed at the royal Decameron from Jan 12-19/17. The grounds and resort in general are very nice, rooms spacious and clean. It is very hilly but gives you lots of exercise. The biggest draw back is having to book for the buffet restaurants. That is ridiculous it took an hour and a half to book 2 buffets and an al a carte. We were a group of 15 people and they don't book under one room number but each room separately. All in all food was good. Pools great, it is in need of some tlc soon. Grand Decameron Panama: Good Resort

Really big resort, well kept grounds, lots of pools and restaurants, nice beach. Rooms were well looked after and clean. Food was decent with good selection, restaurants and buffet better than snack bar options. Lots of activities and entertainment throughout the day and evening. Staff were all helpful, some really friendly but others less ambitious.

Riu Playa Blanca: The Hotel Riu Playa Blanca is a great resort, but the entertainment at nights lis of very poor quality

Everything was fine excepting the entertainment. Sunwing is not customer oriented. There was a glitch with the movies on the inbound flight and the cost of their food and beverages is excessive. It is disconcerting that a 5 1/2 flight does not offer any snacks and food with the exception of water and soft drinks. I don't plan flying Sunwing any more or taking your tours which have them as the Carrier.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great Resort

Rooms were clean and spacious. The hotels grounds were always well kept as well the entire inside. Workers were always looking after the resort. Staff were always friendly and had a smile. Entertainment staff did a great job and the shows were good. The disco could have been better, music needs to be for everyone. The DJ needs to play for the crowd not for himself.

Westin Playa Bonita: One of the best hotels in my list

This hotel meets what I expected in terms of the Westin quality - high quality bedding, good food, and courteous service. The hotel is located about 30 minutes away from the city without traffic. I would stay in this hotel again when I visit Panama in the future. All staffs speaking good enough English. Very good concierge service during my stay.

Westin Playa Bonita: My first but not the last trip to Panama

The service at this hotel was top-notched compared to all the other Caribbean hotels I have been to in the past - Riu, Barcelo, Dreams etc. From the front desk staffs to servers at the pool side, everyone has been helpful and very responsive. The pools were kept clean throughout the week. The quality of food was above average and beds as per the Westin standard were very comfortable. It is located close enough to the Panama city to enjoy. Grand Decameron Panama: Great family vacation

It was a big resort but laid out well. Beautiful upgrades with older charm and mature trees that gave much needed shade. Staff were good but English speaking ones were rare. WiFi was a hit or miss on most days with more misses. Would recommend family and friends to visit the Royal Decameron Golf and Beach Resort.

The hotel and grounds were very clean, beautiful and vast. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly,courteous and helpful. There was a lot of things to do and we really enjoyed our tour.

Grand Decameron Panama: Amazing Royal Decameron

Royal Decameron is a very nice resort. All around excellent service, friendliness, polite, clean and always ready to assist. The a la carte restaurants are fabulous with a large selection. The buffet restaurants are nice, large variety of items and several of the buffets around the resort. Would recommend this resort to all of my family & friends.

Grand Decameron Panama: Great vacation!

We recently enjoyed a week in Panama at the Royal Decameron. The resort is huge and offers lots to do. I would recommend this resort for families. The grounds are well maintained, food choices are good. A note of caution for everyone to use sunscreen! It is incredibly hot and the sun can be harsh. My husband never burns but he did on this trip. Riu Playa Blanca: Mixed emotions

The convenient 10 min ride to the hotel from the airport was great! You never had to dread the typical 2+ hr commute to get to your bed. The hotel and grounds were very modern and very clean. The food although not astounding was not unenjoyable, in fact there were many things that the RIU did very well. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were speacious and the views were great from whatever room. The ocean although very dark was very warm. The sand being a Black sand/white s [... read more]and mix got very hot in the afternoon. Definitely recommend to wear sandals from your seat to the beach. We did two excursions, jungle boat tour (5/5) and partial canal transit (5/5)!!! Both were amazing. The only thing that actually annyoyed me about this trip was they sucker your into leaving for the airport 2 hours later at a cost of 5 USD per person. There was about 60+ people to book this vs. the earlier one which only about 20 people took. Scam artists! Overall memorable trip with some mediocrity mixed in.

Grand Decameron Panama: Good Resort

Very large resort with excellent staff. Nice place with many options. The hill side is a bit steep but if you are on the beach front its not to much of an issue. Overall good food (minus raw chicken fed to our child in the seafood restaurant) with plenty of options. Lifeguards were amazing with children. Some of the bars were a bit backlogged but again it wasn't to bad. One pool was a bit worse then others for a line at the bar. This is really the only thing I would change. Check in at the airport was great!

Westin Playa Bonita: Fabulous Resort

The resort is amazing and a true 5 star. Absolutely spotless. The beach is beautiful but not really swimmable. The staff bend over backwards to assist you. Excursions are very costly. Recommend the updated all inclusive package. Pools are gorgeous and overlook the ocean. You can see the ships lining up for the Panama Canal.

Grand Decameron Panama: Not for English speaking people

The hotel was very nice and the grounds and amenities were excellent. However having to make reservations for every single dinner, even if eating at the buffet is ridiculous. I have traveled many, many times over the years and this is the first all inclusive that I have ever been to that you would have problems getting into the buffet restaurant if you did not have reservations. Then there was the staff. If you did not speak Spanish then they did not pay any attention to you even at the re [... read more]staurants. Almost every meal we would have to ask 3 different severs to get us drinks, and we are talking simple drinks like water, coke and wine. Most of the time they would look at you with a blank stare, not say a word and then walk away as if you didn't exist. On new years eve it got even worse. We were ignored so much that I had to go to the servers station and with 4 of them standing there staring at me I served my own wine to myself an my table. We were eating at the buffet that night and nobody cleared our plates even once. I had to get all of our plates, stand beside a server at his cart and scrape off our dishes into his trash can and stack the plates on his cart. I then offered to clear other guests tables as they just didn't care. This hotel provided the absolute worst service I have ever had. However if you spoke Spanish they took good care of you. The new years party that they through was great however it was completely in Spanish and French, no English at all. I would not recommend this resort to any of my travel companions and I travel at least 4 times per year with more that two dozen friends that also travel with us during these times.

Bijao Beach Resort: Great time in Panama

The hotel and grounds were well kept and staff friendly. Amazing beach a couple minute walk from room. Food at buffet and a la carte restaurants-delicious. Micheal, server at buffet restaurant made our meals more enjoyable.Lifeguards at pool and beach. And a AED.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Great Resort BUT

Grounds: The grounds are amazing! Pools: The infinite pool is beautiful and the adult pool is very relaxing. The floats are a great perk! Food: The a la cartes restaurant are very good with the exception of the Italian restaurant. Bordeaux restaurant was our favourite. Room Service staff are very nice and they try real hard to make you happy. The fridge was always replenished and there was no issue in obtaining bottles of water. The coffee cafe was really nice. Good capuchinos and lattes! Rooms: Rooms are very nice and the beds were very comfortable. We had problems getting towels on the 1st and last day of our holiday. Service: The staff go out of their way. The bartender is amazing! He is very attentive and brings you drinks constantly. I have never received such great service! The service at a la carte restaurants is also very good! Beach: Beach is very nice for walks but since it's on the pacific side, it can't compare to the beaches in Jamaica, Mexico and Cuba. Entertainment: If you are looking for night life, this resort is not for you. There was a karaoke night which was fun and entertainment during the evening but for a short period. The jungle walk that the resort offers is nice and worth doing. Now for the bad. We were eaten alive by sand flies. It was awful. We all swelled up with sores. We've have been back for two days now and we are still itchy. We met amazing people which made our vacation very enjoyable. I would not recommend this resort because of the bug bites. Our bodies are covered from head to toe. Staff were very nice and offered us extra repellent wipes but nothing seemed to help. We met a couple who vacationed at this resort in April and said that there were no bugs back in April ]. They were quite surprised to see the bites on everyone. I would have rated this resort a 4 star if it wasn't for the bug bites.

Bijao Beach Resort: Nice Getaway... Keep Your Expectations Low

The resort was nice and had everything listed in the description supplied by the hotel, but definitely not more. Be sure to bring your own towel, as they run out, and if you can bring a travel beach chair they were under equipped both at the pool and beach. Definitely book some excursions as the hotel is tiny and you'll likely get cabin fever. The only really problem was with checkout - If you can book a flight that leaves in the morning this would be best. The hotel refused to accommodate late  [... read more]checkout (12pm firm) which left us losing an entire day. We had to wait in the lobby for 6 hours after the hotel wouldn't even give us a courtesy room to shower if we wanted to go to the beach.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Amazing resort

The grounds were beautiful. Excellent oceanfront views. Super clean pools. Food very good staff excellent. Top notch drinks. Excellent filet mignon. Great value. Would definitely stay here again. Close to canal. Lovely additions in rooms. Champagne on arrival. Lovely bathroom products and robes

Gamboa Rainforest Resort: Nice Resort, excellent bird watching location.

Hotel is very nice, needs some maintenance due to rain forest location ( rust and mold due to high humidity) service personal is absolutely super helpful and well trained, rooms are always clean and tidy, food is skillfully presented and very tasty, however not much variety especially after more than one week stay, offered tours are low value and way over priced,
