Good looking resort

Very Nice looking resort but the room was not very clean. The grass was very long around our room.Dirty dishes stayed 5 days by our door. The foot was good. But there is no Animation, to much relaxing. .nothing to do. The beach was so so. No service for towel, we had to keep the same towel for the all week. I would say that it is a very Nice looking resort but nothing more..

Very nice resort

Overall the grounds, beach, staff were very nice and accommodating. What was disappointing was the A la carte restaurant some items were not available and some came from the buffet. The beach was not too crowded which made it very nice.

Clean Resort!

The beaches are breath-taking. By far the best beaches in Cuba are in Santa Maria because of it's clear waters and white powder sand. The food was a 7/10. The seafood (shrimp) and waffles were delicious. The snack bar is open 24/7 and has the best beef sandwiches and banana chips. The rooms were absolutely clean. It looked like something pulled out of an IKEA catalogue. I recommend getting the balcony view of the pools. It's a walk in bathroom and the shower head water comes out of the ceiling [... read more] which was so convient and pretty. To use the wifi it costs $2 CUC and it's only for an hour. Great staff members and entertainment. Definitely check out the beach party.

Amazing Resort

The staff were friendly and eager to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The grounds were very well maintained. Our room was large and very tastefully decorated. The food was good for Cuba. The resort is two hours away from the airport but the drive goes quickly! I will always book with TRIPCENTRAL - the agents go above and beyond!

bad food snobby workers not much of a fun place the staff are slow towels were only changed twice must be careful walking everywhere very slipery the drive is almost 2 hours to resort to long to sit nothing to do during thhe day just a bit of entertainment at 3 not at an adults level topless in the pool not a good thing for alot of older adults to see if you want to sit and do nothing this is the place to go if you want to have fun no shows are to late in the evening to stay up to see

Beautiful place

My husband and I stayed here for Christmas and we had a nice relaxing time. The resort is gorgeous all new!!! We were in building 29 3rd floor ocean view it was absolutely amazing the view and the room nice and clean and cozy!! The bed alittle hard but no big deal slept like babies haha!! We went to the buffet every day food was so so but that's Cuba always something to eat... We went for a ride on the catamaran had a ball and is free!!! Nice relaxing vacation loved it... Staff are great friendly and kind always smiling!!!!

Fantastic resort, perfect service,

Grounds where immaculate, it a new place so vegetation is still growing. Rooms are huge, and cleaned every day. Whatever you want just ask, its done asap. I will go again.free water sports, good food and remember where you are, there is no fast food, just good food.

Nice Resort...But....

I would not rate this hotel as a 4+, if anything maybe a 3+. No bathrooms close to the beach. It's a fair walk to get to the larger beaches, or main areas depending on where your staying. Food was edible, but extremely disappointed. Bring your own seasonings, salt, pepper, ketchup etc. The store is maybe 6x10', nothing to buy souvenir wise, unless you want to take a 3 hour bus ride to Havana (ONE WAY!). Still a lot of training an upgrading needs to be done for this hotel to be highly successful. However, it's what you make of it, if you're not there for the food, the beach is beautiful with very soft sand. (Watch out for sand fleas though, ended up with a lot of bites). Service is pretty good, especially when they see the tips waiting for them. ;) Personally, I would not go back to this resort until they do some upgrades.

Great vacation nice hotel

Amazing beach as always, this could be never wrong in Cuba. The hotel was very new at the time we stayed, only opened less than a year or so, we can smell the fresh paint when first walked into the room, only one buffet restaurant was available at that time, food was okay, we still had a large variety of choice, service was great, Cuban people tried hard to make everyone happy, overall, it's a very clean and beauful hotel, we are looking forward to visiting there again in the future.

Lovely resort with good food

Resort was nice and clean and the best part: adults only. The pool on the east side (turn right from the lobby) is the "party" pool--loud music, younger people, activities. The other pool is much quieter. The beach stretches almost forever in both directions, you just have to cross some rocks to get there. Take the chance-do it. Gorgeous clean white powder beach. Food is good in the buffet--always a decent selection (but no fries--supplier problems). The specialty restaurants are very good. The snack bar is awful. What you need to know if you're picky: This is Cuba... something goes wrong, don't expect anyone to bust anything trying to help you fix it. Apathy rules. Just because you have a reservation for a specialty restaurant doesn't mean you'll actually get a seat (especially Oh La La restaurant-very busy!) and complaining doesn't help. Fans above the beds in rooms are "decoration only". Air conditioning is good and cools the room fast, no worries. If you are easily offended by drunk 20 year olds and loud music and "sexy girl" competition, use the west pool in the afternoon. There seem to be several "supplier problems". We got one beach towel each for the whole week. Every once in a while there was a guy at the pool with towels for exchange but word travels fast and they're gone as soon as they're available. Overall, had a great time, but there were a few people complaining about things. If you're that type, go somewhere else. This will not be a flawless adventure.

Fantastic resort!

I would highly recommend the Valentin Perks Blanca to anyone! It's a beautiful, new, modern resort with excellent food, drinks, and service in general. The beaches are amazing - soft white sand and Crystal clear turquoise water as far as the eye can see! My partner and I enjoyed walks and runs on the beach every day, which was great because we're generally active people. Beautiful resort

This is a beautiful resort with plenty of amenities. The staff is incredible and very accommodating. I love that there was different beach areas within the same resort. Some days is was great to be on the "exciting" side of the beach with music and games, but it was also great to have quiet beach days as well. Food was good. Every course at the three we went to were amazing.(Mexican, french and italian) The calamari at the Italian restaurant was among the best I've had anywhere. That is a big statement considering I'm Italian and have been to Italy almost a dozen times. Rooms were clean, bright and nicley decorated. Still cant figure out the purpose of the semi-frosted window between the bathroom and bedroom...lol The only negative statement I have is for the self righteous visitors from Quebec. I am a proud Canadian but was disgusted with not only the disrespect shown to other guests but also the way some of staff were treated. The sad part is with such a huge percentage of visitors going to Cuba from this Province, the staff assumes all Canadians have this level of arrogance. If this is the way you act in "real life", for the sake of everyone else that is trying to relax and enjoy their vacation, please pretend to be a normal functioning member of the human race.

Nice Resort, Great Customer Service

As a new resort in the area, Valentin Perla Blanca is very nice and modern. The grounds are beautifully kept and the rooms and common areas are clean and well taken care of. I was very impressed by the employees and their helpful attitude towards guests. When we first arrived at the resort it was quite late at night. We discovered that there was no water in our fridge. When we called the front desk it took only minutes before an entire pack of water bottles was delivered to our room. All in al [... read more]l, I was very impressed with the resort. It is a quieter resort however and I would not recommend it to individuals who are looking for a party spot, as it tends to cater more towards an older clientele looking for a relaxing vacation.

Relaxing Vaction

The hotel is beautiful as in the pictures. Very spacious bedroom with king size bed. We asked for ocean view and recieved at first glance a bare garden,a swamp and in the far distance the ocean. The resort is very big with a lot of walking required. there are drivers/caddies thatcan drive u around if needed. Sunwing sides beach is much wider calmer and less rocky. The tides were very rough at times as it is winter time now in cuba. The food was good. Not a wide selection of tropical fruits or vegetables. Untrained cooks at some stations. A little more flavor would be nice. Enjoyed the freshly grilled food that was prepared for me. The drinks were not the best but would do for the week or 2 u r there. Entertainment was ok something to do at night. Same with the disco. If u r looking to get away from everyone this is the place to go.

Grounds are Prestine!

We stayed at the Valentin Perla Blanca at the end of November 2015. The grounds at this resort is prestine! The workers at this resort was always on top of making sure the floors, tables and gardens were always clean. The rooms were a good size and was always spotless. The restaurants were always replenished and never ran out of food. Managers and Leads were always visual for anyone to speak to with any concerns. They were all very accommodating with your needs. The pools were amazing. The beach [... read more] area suffered a hurricane storm at the beginning of November taking away most of the beach area at the entrance way...but walking along towards the right of the resort was the usual beautiful white sandy beach...Kite surfers dream beach :-)

Beautiful Resort, food lacking!

Resort was beautiful, pools were well maintained, beach was very narrow. Food was terrible, been to Cuba 6x previously and never had issues with food, there was always something to eat. There water filtration system was not working properly and almost everyone on the resort was sick with stomach issues. Out of almost 30 people on our bus back to the airport, only 2 had not been sick.

Beautiful Resort

This was my 3rd time returning to this resort! I have been to Santa Maria 6 times and I would have to say this resort is one of the best. Beach: the beach speaks for itself, it's one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Clear blue, clean, and white sand! What more can you ask for! Food: going to Cuba you can't expect 5 star food, the food isn't the best, but also isn't the worst! They have a good selection for everyone. The one side I did stay on was beautiful. 2 big pools, swim up bar and very clean.. There are activities that go on everyday to keep people entertained.. Lots of chairs!!! Not every resort has!! Entertainment: This resort has the BEST entertainment!!! You I'll never see any of them without smiles on their faces, they will do whatever it takes to make you happy.. I went the week of Halloween and they advertised this huge "Halloween party" that never happened!!! They had posters all around the resort, the Facebook page had it advertised and the day of Halloween there was no party!! You would think because nationally it was cancelled they would explained that to their customers!! I understand Cuba is different from Canada and we don't celebrate the same holidays, but you should be advertising something and the. Don't mention that it's cancelled and have NOTHING! There were A LOT of disappointed people!! Overall this resort is a really beautiful, clean and i would return back.. Management should be extremely impressed with the staff here and cut a bit more slack for them...

I honestly thought the resort was ok, we didn't have water Saturday or half of Sunday the buffet food was gross. and only one of the pools were open, it wasn't even the one that was advertised. we never had clean towels, and the snack bar was probably the best food, the beds were too hard.

Fantastic resort

Beautiful resort, fantastic beach and amazing staff! If you're looking to create amazing memories, this is the place to go. Everything was perfect the entire week. I'll be going back to this resort!!!

Beautiful Beach & Stunning resort.

We really enjoyed our first trip to the Valentin Perla Blanca, the beach is second to none, as well the resort itself beautifully designed, the lobby bar view to the ocean is amazing. Amenities, food and service were all good, not at the exceptional level you would expect from a 5* resort but this review is just a year past their opening date and they were making great strides to get things organized and in better order, it feels like they are still in the process of getting all their operationa [... read more]l kinks out. The lobby bar had one of the more extensive bars that i have ever experienced at an all inclusive. The onsite bank was extremely helpful and offered the same rates you will find elsewhere. Much of the landscape and gardens are new, very nice, but i am curious to see how beautiful they will be when they mature. Food is very good for Cuba standards, the menu does rotate often and things that are their one day are not there the next, shortages are always present, that said their is always something to eat and lots of it. Pools were nice, one was not operational and undergoing renovations. Entertainment was ok, some days the animation staff was really good, other days not so good. I would be very interested to see what this place will look like given another 5 years. I would not hesitate to return to this resort, it's big, modern and beautiful, and seriously the beach is amazing.
