Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Worst Customer Service

The hotel grounds is clean, and the grounds are nicely maintained. The pools are clean and with various options. The service model requires a significant over haul. whether a diamond club member or standard room the service was the same and horrible. My family experience he worst treatment at this Royalton which was surprising given we've stayed at the Royalton in other countries and found the service to be fantastic. We experienced everything from being ignored at the bars, being ignored a [... read more]t dinner waiting over 20 minutes for cutlery or even worse almost an hour for drinks to go with dinner. Being a diamond club member meant premium liquor applied to us, but when we called for it at the bar the bottles were not apart of the package. Two minutes later the same bartender is serving the same bottle of liquor to a non-diamond club member. Royalton Punta Canada Splash you need to do better.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Simply Amazing!!

Royalton Hicacos is a wonderful Resort! We were welcomed at check in with a glass of wine then escorted to our room. As it was a birthday trip, the staff was aware and dinner was arranged by the hotel. The waiters poured wine and served cake, they cheered and celebrated with us in the international restaurant. The beach at the hotel is fantastic and the property is magnificent! It was a wonderful trip, we enjoyed every minute. We will be back!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Royalton Cayo Santa Maria, best in Cuba

Second visit to this resort. Already planning on returning in 2024. Amazing staff, amazing resort, pool and beach. Food was fantastic no matter where you ate on the resort and always great selection. Butler service is amazing, we had the same Butler Omar Alcantara for trip two. He made our stay comfortable and took every opportunity he could to make it special as well.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort

Can not say enough about this resort, incredible, great food, and staff, clean, has a bit of everything to see and do, would go back in a heartbeat, stayed at hideaway adults only side, swimup was so worth it

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: So family friendly!

Overall a great experience but of course there are some pros and cons Pros: 1) Family friendly, everything from where the family rooms are located , elevators everywhere, a path that's shaded to get your little one out of direct sun, a kiddie pool, lazy river and splash pad, kids menu, high chairs , elevators, mini club and activities 2)the property is just beautiful, tastefully decorated and they even have that spa smell 3) Some staff really go above and beyond, Rubin and Wendy at the bea [... read more]ch Bar, Carlos at the lobby bar, Jose at front desk/lost and found was a life saver ! Johanna at the splash pad was like a big sister to our son, Photography crew, animation crew, can't say enough good things about all of them. Cons 1) Definitely not a party resort, so if you want that vibe you'd have to go out or stay elsewhere 2) The beach is not really good for swimming, lots of seaweed and despite their best efforts to clean it out some days the water was almost black in colour from all the seaweed and rocks coming up to shore so not great for a beach lover unless you go out on excursions 3) The food and service is inconsistent. You're not likely to get a drink the same way from two different bartender so follow the person who makes it the way you like it. Some days the same dishes at the buffet were overly salty or overcooked. It all depends on who you land on. And some staff were border line rude.Twice within the week I had to call to ask them to clean our room...etc. 4) it's first come first serve for à la carte restaurant. It's nice that you can just walk in but with a baby we didn't have the luxury of time to be on a waitlist . The only one you can reserve is tappiniyaki and we did enjoy that one Other relevant information 1) the air Canada experience and the transfer to and from the hotel were a nightmare . Sunwing seemed to be the better option in comparison 2) I couldn't get an answer in time on whether I can get a crib in the room or not so I had to pack mine, I had emailed the hotel and our rep here a few days before we left but didn't hear back

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort

The grounds are great, the facilities excellent especially the lazy river, the room was clean but the beach was covered with sea weeds which was not great. The service in the dinning room was very poor most of the time. Michael was the only person that provided excellent service but we did not get him at all times. At times it was wait time to get into the dining room and conclude the dining room was not large enough to accommodate the amount of people. Overall the facility was great.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: This is not a Royalton hotel, it is a Memories hotel, very disappointed

The buffet restaurant very hot, no air condition, poor services. On the storm rain days, we asked for umbrellas, they said they don’t have any more. We order room services, after 45 minute, they said room services is not available.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Terrible Experience

2/10 Our experience from our first day to last was a nightmare at the resort. Upon arrival, things began to go wrong, and something didn’t seem right. On day one, when checking in, no one knew that a crib was needed for the room even though the request was made months in advance. It took until the middle of the night to receive a crib and the baby was already sleeping. When arriving, (and each and every day after), the fridge in the room was always empty and it always felt like we were [... read more] bothering someone to ask for clean towels or water bottles for the baby. On day two, (we had the swim out room and our baby enjoyed it), until noticing that the tiles were falling off and cement debris was floating around us. Not sanitary. At the pool bar, as well as the other bars, everyone seemed to ignore the guests even though the bar was not busy. It took forever to get drinks and they were subpar. On day three the true nightmare began. My wife was breastfeeding our baby in the room when she noticed cockroaches climbing into her luggage and another into the baby’s crib. At that point, I realized that this hotel is dirty and unsanitary. Upon telling this to someone at the lobby, they brushed it off. When my wife started crying hysterically the manager came and offered us a new room along with a day in a cabana. In the new SECOND room, I saw ANOTHER cockroach. The fact that they were in two rooms makes it very clear that this is a dirty hotel. My baby could have gotten extremely sick. At this point, I was over this vacation and made such my luggage’s were always locked. I was paranoid the entire rest of the vacation and coming home was a stressful experience of cleaning and making sure no cockroaches entered my home back in Canada. The remaining days did not scream a 5-star experience. The buffet always ran out of food 1-2 hours after opening for lunch or dinner on a daily basis. On the last day, there was no bell boy to bring our bags to the front and no food for the 2-hour bus ride back to the airport since prior to 7 am no services are available. When my wife asked at 6:55 am for a piece of bread for our 10-month-old baby for the bus ride, the workers were rude and denied entry to my wife. Workers constantly complained about working there to the guests. Many workers verbally expressed their want to quit Royalton and work for the RIU since meals were not provided for them at the Royalton for free. They did not feel valued and verbally expressed it. I can understand their frustration. Their disappointment in the working conditions is rubbing off on the guests and everyone is frustrated. Nothing about this resort was a 5-star experience. This hotel is going downhill fast and everyone from the guests to the workers notice it and verbally express it. Paying for a 5-star experience and receiving at best a 3-star hotel is false advertisement. I am going back to work not relaxed and frustrated with what my family has experienced. I will never again choose a Royalton property and will not recommend it to my friends and family. The ONLY amazing part was the beach. Beautiful water.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great family resort but not without issues

The resort grounds, water park, room (family room was perfect with kids), pools and buffet are great! But there are several annoyances that would keep us from rushing back. The restaurants are almost impossible to get into as there are insufficient restaurants for the size of the resort. Also the restaurants are very poorly organize/ managed. The trolley is very handy to take you around the resort but the timing is very inconsistent, you wait anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. Lastly the staff seem unhappy. Occassionally we would come across someone providing great service but it was so rare we were surprised. Overall it was a great family vacation, but lots of opportunities for the resort to improve.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing resort in Varadero

Very nice and well maintained grounds Staff was extremely friendly. I will mention here just a few:Laurita, Barbara, Maria and Ana. Food was normal for Cuba, but the lack of AC in the buffet made eating unpleasant. AC in the room was all the time above 25 Celsius, which was at the limit for being comfortable.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Very crowded. Average service. Average food

We splurged for the diamond club at the resort. Turns out they don't even check for diamond wristbands. The private diamond club pool area is crowded. The only time to go is in the morning, otherwise lots of drunk rowdy people at the swim-up bar. Room was new and nice. Some difficulty having our room cleaned and turned over during the day (they came at 9am one day, and 4pm the other day).

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: The staff are amazing at Royalton

The staff treat you like family. Everyone is so friendly. Check out the Nativa bar, Danilo is amazing. The room is ok, kind of old and run down, not first world 5 stars more like 3 stars. But I guess for Cuba it's good. There were bugs. They spray for mosquitos on the resort each night which is gross. The food wad ok. The bbq at snack bar is best bet. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Very nice!

We were pleasantly surprise with the beautiful room. The food at the Italian restaurant was amazing and was our favourite. The ice cream in a fresh made waffle cone was so good. All of the staff were so kind and pleasant. The diamond club was worth the extra. Lacked in fresh vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers. No bugs or mosquitoes. Special shout out to Salsa who BBQs daily on the Diamond beach and Joey who puts the umbrellas up for you. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel to others.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Awesome resort

It’s a small resort, therefore the personal attention is superb. Shout out to Andres, Ana,Amy, Silvia, and the entire entertainment team. Just need to improve Wifi;cost us extra and a better drink menu.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: The Best vacation EVER

Can't say enough about this resort. Excellent service, beautiful beach and the property is immaculate. We ended up upgrading our room to ocean view and it was so worth it - definitely recommend it. Excellent house keeping, private butler and bellboy were always available and they make sure your stay is nice and smooth. Food is excellent given it is Cuba. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: A disappointment

Hotel needs updating, no air conditioning in restaurants with 40 degree temperatures. Air conditioned areas reserved for diamond club only. Their desserts were stale and often not replenished. All juices were watered down. Room service was pointless as it took over an hour to arrive at your room. Very disappointed with this Royalton location. The Royalton in Negril, Jamaica was much better.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Nice resort

The employees make this place great. Everyone was kind and quick to get us anything we needed(we tipped at pretty much every interaction) not sure if that had anything to do with it. The hotel is kept well but the pool is shallow and pretty dead in the day probably because of the amazing beach a few feet away. Food was tasty but lacked variety at the buffet. The a la cartes were good especially the Tex Mex and Italian. Also there isn’t much to do at night no casino, no sports/karaoke bar. There was a jazz bar but only had a pianist one of the nights otherwise it was silent not even playing music over the speakers. But all in all the drinks were strong, food was good and beach was beautiful we were not disappointed.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Quiet and relaxing

It was our honeymoon, people were amazing top service. 2 servers one older at the bar in lobby not too friendly even though $5tip here and there from us didn’t change his behaviour. Quiet place not for parties. Make sure you see Antonio for cart service. Plan him Le Taxi song and he will give you the ride if you like fun.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Disappointing

The experience was not very good from start to finish but maybe the worst of it was the food. I would describe the food situation in this way: It feels as if they are using the same budget for food in 2023 as they used in 2015… meaning that with the price of food having gone up as much as it has (all over the world) if you are still using the same budget in 2023 as you were 10 years ago, you are getting much less quality. The food was not enjoyable so that was a major setback for the trip.  [... read more] Other than that, the rooms (especially the bathrooms) were tired and in need of maintenance and refreshing. The Staff tried their best to handle requests and be accommodating which was appreciated. I upgraded to Diamond Club almost immediately after arriving and it was still a ‘less than satisfactory’ trip.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: A great time

We went in mid-May with some friends and had a great time. Beach was amazing. Resort was very clean. Staff were great—big shout out to Javier and Maria Rosa our butlers—they were amazing hosts. Darian at the lobby bar and the guys at the beach bar were always keeping us hydrated. Jorge was also great working the towel area. Yulia our cleaner kept the room very tidy.
