Memories Cayo Largo: Gorgeus place !
this was my 5tth stay on the island. 4th is Soy Cayo Largo. Amazing time away as always. This palce attracts specific type of clientele. If you in for a lot of atmosphere, beautiful beaches, dont like the crowds this place is for you. If your expectations are 5 star hotel for the price of 3 star - dont come - you will be dispapointed. Hotel is well run, grounds are beautiful and well maintained, rooms clean and service is fantastic. I am sure it was not my last time - cant actually wait to go ba [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort
The Meliá CayoCoco is a beautiful intimate resort, friendly staff, great food, with good entertainment. The rooms are a little tired, with no privacy on balconies. There is no swim up bar in the pool, and the service at the a LA carte restaurants is very slow.
Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: This is THE RESORT you should stay at.
I had the BEST week at the Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real. Going in, I wasn’t convinced that the upgrade to the Reserve section would be worthwhile but after experiencing it I can say it’s the ONLY way to go! The resort was beautiful (both the Paradisus and Reserve), the food was great (I think I gained about 10 lbs), but what made this trip for me was the service. If you like a nice spot to lounge, this is the resort for you. It’s a huge and spacious resort yet you can’t walk more tha [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Very pretty and relaxing resort.
Hotel grounds were well kept with a nice Botanical garden. Spa service was ok with employees not all trained in Massage techniques, as only men do deep tissue. It was not appropriate for us as a couple. We were reimbursed for one massage. The Spa was private and had a beautiful beach and salt water pool. This was great for pictures. The food was definitely great with something for everyone to enjoy. The staff were fantastic. The rate of exchange in Cuban pesos was a rip off as we lose converting [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great Family Resort
Family of 4 with two young teens stayed May 15 to 22, 2015. This was our second time staying in Cayo Santa Maria, 10 years prior we stayed at the Sol Club Santa Maria next door. As before, beach was fantastic. Clean and clear ocean water. Some days were wavy but most days were calm enough for relaxing swim in the ocean. Resort was quiet due to time of year. I’d guess it was only about 1/3rd full. The resort is a good size for those who like a bit quieter vacation but still large enough to hav [... read more]
Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Absolutely beautiful!
The hotel itself was amazing! It was clean & comfortable. The beach needed to be raked a few more times because there was a lot of seaweed. The food was good. I wouldn't recommend the extra restaurant called Passion. Wasn't worth the money. Staff was friendly & very helpful. If you're coming with a big group expect to be split up at the restaurants. They ca not accommodate over 15 people.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Quality Resort, amazing beach
Cayo Santa Maria is an amazing place to relax, the hotel was great, service was good especially the bar staff, food was nice. I stayed for 1 week and found no problem with anything. There is plenty to do if you get bored within the resort and want to step out.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Great Time
The hotel needs a little updating...the grounds are kept very well manicured...the beach is amazing...they need to do something about the water that surrounds the hotel - instead of using the spray for mosquitos everyday, maybe add the water to the waterfall under the lobby and also add a few fountains inside the water to keep it moving which would result in no mosquito breeding grounds...
Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Heaven on Earth
This resort is over top only if you book your stay at the Reserve section. From start to finish the staff at this resort don't leave you wanting for anything. From 24 hour room service. Top shelf brands of liquor. Champagne & Lobster all you want. Food is better then most restaurants in major cities. Room's at the reserve are min 807 sq feet suites. The beach area and lounges are amazing with service on the beach all day long. Complimentary Catamaran, Snorkeling on resort. The Grounds are the go [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Very nice resort
The rooms were very clean and comfortable and spacious. Staff at the resort were very friendly, and willing to do so much for you. Felt very welcome by all those working at the resort. There was a good variety of food available. Really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant the experience!!!
Melia Marina Varadero: Very nice
Grounds and facilities very nice. Food is ok. Beach and pools beautiful. Great hospitality. Not a five star but certainly 4 star in my view. No place beats Cuba. Will return for the right price, come and experience for yourself.
Melia Las Antillas: Review
The grounds were very well layed out but some of the paths need work. cracks, missing stone and cement. T he buffet dining area needs proper A/C so it wont have flys and dirt. The line-up to register for the ala-carte is unacceptable.
Melia Varadero: Had an amazing time!
Had such a fantastic experience here. The resort is really nice for Cuba. Our room was a little dated, but they have renovated suites if you prefer something more modern. The pools were good, but the beach was amazing, so we spent most of our time. The food was awesome which surprised everyone. The staff are so super friendly and really made the trip! Make sure you find Leah and Alex (2 of many great entertainers), Michel and Danny in the cafeteria, and Jesus, Melena, and Bolten in the Buffet! G [... read more]
Zel Cozumel: Great resort!
Loved this resort-although not our first trip to Cozumel, it was our first time at Melia. Stayed in the Gardenview building, on the 4th floor and loved the view of the ocean and also the view across the island from our front door. Loved that there are two pools-one for the adults and a great pool area for the kids. Ate at the buffet the whole stay and had no complaints-enough of a variety to keep us happy. And if you talk sweetly to your very friendly servers, they may even get you a bowl of Ice [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: Excellent vacation destination!
Weather was absolutely incredible. The room was in very good condition, the resort grounds well kept and their was always entertainment to keep everyone active. The night life in Veraderro was worth going into town. We would definitely go back.
Melia Las Dunas: Amazing Resort
Four of us went, all females, had two rooms. Resort was amazing, clean and staff were friendly. Restaurants for dinner had excellent food with spices, we tried them all and were 5 stars. The BBQ Grill for lunch time was near the beach and had a variety of BBQ food, defiantly recommend it for lunch. We went on April 29, 2015 for 7 days, didn't realize the rain season had started, it rained very heavy for most of the days however, we did have 2 full sunny days. Ocean was so clear and had white san [... read more]
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great vacation , but!
Overall the hotel was fine but unless you upgraded to the level you are required to sit on the side of the beach with very little shelter. The side of the beach with the thatch huts for shelter were off limits to all guests except those upgraded to level service. It is nice to sit in the warm air but sitting in the direct sun is not fun.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Vacation - Mother and Daughter
April/May 2015 We enjoyed this relaxing resort. By far the best was the excellent service received by the staff throughout the resort. This was our first time in Cuba, enjoyed the beaches. The pool was and grounds were very nice, however we were at the beach most of the time. Very nice for long walks, collecting shells and fantastic swimming. The food was as expected for the buffet - enough to choose from. The A la carte dinning were great. Although we did not book the Royal Service, which has a [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: Food was lousy
Overall the resort was nice. Beach & ocean outstanding !! Entertainment was great ! Pool area great ! Now for the not so good ... the food was awful, low quality, no variety, same menu daily. Drinks don't expect much... served in small plastic deposable cups. No blender for frozen drinks. No name brand pop (Cuban only). Customer service very poor. I would not recommend Cuba to anyone ... we have been twice over a 17 year period & nothing has changed. Take your Immodium you will need it !! Mexico [... read more]
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Beautiful beach, good food, pretty grounds...
Good food (lots of fresh fish, veggies and snacks at the buffet and snack bar). Beautiful pools and beach although beach gets deep very fast and windy (at least while we were there). Very attractive grounds though rooms a bit outdated (good for cuban standards however). Service at buffets could be improved (long waits for water, cutlery/clean tables-servers seemed to stick to return visitors) but at other restaurants/bars/snack bar was always excellent.
